Putting aside any limited time-based promotions (eg, happy hour), the service and quality during our meal supported the price point. My girlfriend and I visited this past week for her birthday... the staff was wonderful, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere- amazing! We were greeted right away, even though they were very busy, and our food arrived in less than a half hour from the time we ordered. Fantastic new restaurant! We recently had dinner at 131 and it is one of the best restaurants in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. Prices are reasonable, decor is outstanding and the food is amazing. Our server, Morgan was the best-so attentive and accommodating! Each one of our entrees were excellent. Our table had the medallions of beef, red snapper, salmon and the prime rib sandwich. Overall overpriced but nice ambiance and service. Liked my pork chop but limited appetizer menu. Artichokes burned and dried out. Corn bread tasted like cake and too sweet as an appetizer. Not the best meal but also not the worst. read more

We got to preview 131 Main in Sarasota before the official grand opening. This restaurant is spectacular. A carefully thought out ambience welcomes you as you enter. The attentive greeting warms your hearts. We are seated and then greeted by our server offers the daily specials and any information we request. We ordered appetizers (cornbread) and Ahi Tuna Salad and our entrees. Food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the Crab Cakes and Grilled Ribeye. Dessert was ordered. The strawberry Shortcake Biscuit topped with ice cream is a must with cappuccino to end the night. We were wowed between the food and the top tier customer service we will definitely frequent this restaurant. Bravo!! read more

From the moment we entered until we left impeccable service. Celebrated our anniversary. The hostess, server who took drink order, and our waiter all wished us a happy anniversary. Attentive service, but not intrusive. No problem changing the side dish on our entrees to another option. After the meal, the server said the restaurant wished to give us a complimentary dessert....and we could choose from four selections. 131 Main is top-notch, first-class and knows how to run a fine dining establishment. read more

This place has been the talk of town since it's opened. A lot of people love it and some people don't. I've been twice now and I can say it is THAT good. The service is some of the best you I've had in the Sarasota area. Everyone is assigned a designated job and they all kill it. Super friendly, fast and just overall a well oiled machine. The food... (is expensive) but SO GOOD. The cornbread with honey was just the perfect start... not dry at all and really solid. I saw online everyone recommending the prime rib sandwich and ribs so obviously got those. Both delicious. Ribs fell off the bone and had a great flavor. The prime rib sandwich is the star for me though. Perfectly shaved prime rib, the horseradish sauce is the perfect spice and the broth to dip just seals the deal. The French fries are addicting and I'm telling you ask for a side of honey mustard it is some of the best I've ever had. They also have this salty lime lager on tap (I keep forgetting the name) it's probably one of the most refreshing beers I've had in a while. Just if you haven't been sure if you want to try it just go. It's so good... just a little pricey but I mean for the quality you are getting and the service it's 100% worth it. read more

I am a HUGE fan of this restaurant. I have been half a dozen times or so. The food is exceptionally good. The staff is extremely attentive from the greeting at the door to service to the goodbye at the end. I love the ambiance of the dark wood and private booth seating. IA special shoutout to Hunter, our main waiter last time, He was a 12/10. We were all so impressed. Just exceptional... I felt like he had Michelin Star training. Service: 5: our server was attentive and helpful as were others we saw Atmosphere: 4: they are still getting their act together with figuring out usage of the main dining room and 2 patios. I expect the rating will go to 5 shortly. Price: 3: It is expensive so it is not an everyday restaurant to frequent. The quantity of the great food is large so expect to have take home food, and that offsets some of the reason for the higher prices Wine selection: 3: The wines you can order by glass are limited, a bit pricey and just okay. So when we discovered they had opened a spot in Lakewood Ranch, we had to make the short drive from St. Pete to check it out--and we're so glad we did! First off, the food is outstanding. The Big Island Ribeye is a standout with a flavor profile unlike anything you'll find at a typical steakhouse--smoky, sweet, savory, and absolutely delicious. The Prime Rib is a must-order anytime it's on the menu. Pro tip: don't skip the horseradish cream sauce. For something lighter, the Thai Steak Salad is our go-to. It's fresh, flavorful, and filling--you'll struggle to try anything else on your next visit. We've worked our way through all the appetizers at this point, and you truly can't go wrong with any of them. That said, the cornbread and grilled artichokes are our personal favorites. The service has been consistently excellent across multiple visits. From the host stand to getting the check, every team member has been friendly, professional, and striving to give you the best experience. Lastly, let's talk value. The quality of the food, service, and atmosphere here rivals (and often exceeds) that of many higher-end restaurants in downtown Tampa and St. Pete, but at a fraction of the price. We are snowbirds who live in Cornelius North Carolina where we frequent the 131 Main location. I saw the Lakewood Ranch location was opening so I knew I needed to try It. Everything about this restaurant reminded us of the Cornelius location starting with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The menu was identical so we started with our favourite app the Double dip, quacamole and pimento cheese dip was still delish. We then split the ribs, fries and cashew slaw. The meal was very good. They split the meals before they arrived which we appreciated. I was hoping this location would have a little different menu with some Floridian flare but it does not. We will continue to frequent the NC location but unfortunately the traffic on 75 will prohibit repeat visits. I know this restaurant will flourish in Lakewood Ranch! read more

First of all the place is amazing. They have great ambience. They were out of Tito's for my martini and could not offer me a comparable vodka. So ended up having to pay more for a comparable vodka. Only would offer me Smirnoff or something less. We ordered crabcakes and split them. The crabcakes were extremely delicious no breading at all. Unfortunately the remoulade was less than tasty. It could've been a little more flavorful. Next time would order just the crabcakes without the remoulade. read more

From the minute you walk into 131 Main in Lakewood Ranch you feel like a guest who is cherished. The ambiance is beautiful. Our server, Sutton, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and special items. While we were waiting for our food Hailey, the assistant manager, approached us to check that we were satisfied with the service and to let us know our food would be out shortly. She has such a welcoming manner and made us feel like we were important to the restaurant. We ordered the tile fish tacos which were amazing and a hamburger, just average. She complimented us with some corn bread which was the best I have ever eaten, sooooo good. We will definetly be back! read more

Wonderful lunch today at 131 Main, made even better by outstanding service from Gwen. Ours was a complicated order due to food sensitivity and I've never experienced a kinder or more accommodating server. Every small detail was attended to and so we had a delicious meal that was more interesting than most we are able to enjoy in a restaurant. This was our first visit and it's worth all the hype. Decor was beautiful. Seating is comfortable, Trendy lighting and fine art creates an awesome ambiance. Drinks were well made and food was delicious. We ordered 3 appetizerss: Skillet cornbread, Brussel sprouts and artichokes. Two were kind of average. The sprouts were a little sweeter than we like and the artichokes were a bit dry with seemingly little on the leaves to eat. That cornbread though!!!! With jalapeños and whole corn bits, it seems sweetened with honey and was so tasty I could've eaten a whole skillet alone. I wouldn't have had room for my entree though. Entrees were great. Three of us had halibut and whether with asparagus or quinoa/kale salad, it was crispy grilled crusty bottom and delicious. Strawberry shortcake w ice cream and key lime pie were the perfect finish. We failed to take photos bc we were so impressed with the experience due to top notch service, cool interior design and great meals we were dine eating before we thought to snap pics. read more
