I'm sorry. I don't know what y'all have been ordering here, but these are some fantastic slices. I don't know how this place has such a low score. Yes...I am in town for work (non-native) and I didn't grow up eating "traditional" NY pizza, but this is beyond solid. This place has all the things: * a traditional (cheese "slice") for $1.50 * a plethora of options (meat and veggie!) * a variety of pizzas (traditional slices v. Italian blocks) * kind and alert employees who manage to read the place regardless of how many people are at the counter (it can be wild!) One slice of anything is enough, but my greedy, big-backed behind had to get two slices: one is a beautifully delicious Italian sausage/green pepper/ red onion/pepperoni, and the other is a lamb/feta/marinara. The pepperoni and italian sausage slice might be the best one in the house. I'm seriously not even interested in trying the other slice. This has an amazingly crispy crust on the bottom with a CRUNCH that makes every bite seem fresh and new, like the very first time. The toppings are LIBERAL. They're not skimping here! At least 3 of the 4 above-listed ingredients are in each bite. Every. Single. Bite. THEY NOT EFFIN' around here! This is perfect for people who prefer either a thin crust OR a slice that can neatly fold in half while still maintaining its structural integrity. This bad boy folds like a crisp piece of paper. It might just even snap at you. Sadly, I can't review the second slice as of yet. This Italian sausage slice was so damn good I had to finish it. But now I'm stuffed and can't move on to the lamb/feta/marinara slice (which looks amazing in its own right). Does Yelp allow cliff-hangers? I blame 2 Bros for selling people more than 1 slice at a time. That's all you really need. Hell. A family of four (with small children) could easily split just two slices. Here, that would be wild. Was the pizza cheap? Yes Was it fast? Yes as they are just reheating, standard practice for all NYC by the slice Were the slices big? Still a yes but not overload Beyond that, not much flavor. The spinach tasted previously frozen and just didn't taste like spinach. Tomato sauce was bland but the ricotta tasted ok. read more

Cheap and cheerful. For the price can't complain. Staff are friendly and service is quick.

It's not a $1 anymore, but 2 slices and a 12oz soda are only $3.99, and they were some pretty darn good slices. A flavorful cheese and good sauce, and the crust was good too. Nothing like the other 2 Bros I would try later in the day. This may be my go-to spot if when I'm in this area of NY in the future, they were that good. A small seating section, but with open garage door-like doors, so in the winter its probably not an option. read more

They're fast, it's cheap & it doesn't taste bad. The line was out the door. But it moved fairly fast (10 minutes or less). So many options to choose from & they best the pizza in the oven before giving it to you. The slices are large! The crust is crunchy & there are plenty of toppings. Good flavor with the slices too! The prices are very reasonable. Even a can of soda was under $2. Won't find that too many places in the city. Just a little greasy, but you can soak that up with a napkin. Quick service and it was out of the oven and hot in my hands in just a couple minutes. A nice saucy pizza with good flavored pep on an oversized slice for $5. This was one of the better slices I've had in midtown, and because of its size I'm ok with the price. I'd definitely go back. read more

Hubs has been wanting to try this place for a while. We always pass by on our way to MSG. I had a fresh Supreme slice-hot out of the oven! It was a delicious slice, a hearty piece of the pie! Crust was thick and chewy. I could use a bit more flavor but overall it was a great slice! Now I'm thirsty all day but I'm glad we tried it! 2 specialty slices $4 each and $1.50 cheese slice plus a soda was $11. I'm sure we'll be back! read more

A solid spot for cheap NY pizza, but some of the slices were hit or miss for me. The cheese was solid but not super special in my opinion, but at an amazing price- we got a whole large pie for around $15. Also tried the BBQ chicken and broccoli chicken slices- I loved the flavorful BBQ chicken slice, and the crispy texture of the chicken, but the broccoli chicken slice was a little bland for me, had to add chili flakes to it. Service was pretty friendly and very quick, there was a bit of a line when I went but it moved fast. No seating inside but there were some tall tables outside to stand and eat, though I wouldn't say that this is the most peaceful area to do so. read more

I decided to get a cheese slice and a veggie slice. Looks are deceiving! Both slices were very good! The cheese pizza had a good amount of cheese, the sauce had a very nice flavor, and the thin crust had a good chew to it. It was not tough and it was not mushy. It was just right. The veggie pizza, it had broccoli, mushrooms, red bell peppers, and olives, and they were very generous with the toppings. The sauce, cheese, and crust on this one, were also very good. Is this the world's greatest gourmet pizza? Of course not! It's just a corner pizza joint . *But*, for $1.50 for the cheese slice, and $4 for the veggie slice? It hit the spot just right. The slices were dry and when I opened my soda can a whole bunch of gas came out and the soda was not even cold! So good! Pizza by the slice, hot and fresh, for a dollar fifty! You walk in and are swarmed by smells of ovens and cheese and tomato sauce. They have a dining area inside, outside, and a counter to order out /to go. No Parm cheese out but they did have oregano, chili flakes and garlic salt. It was cool watching the staff toss the dough around before topping it with ingredients and toppings. PEPPERONI PIZZA SLICE - 3 This was definitely better and the pepperoni definitely gave it more taste, but it was super oily and also not the freshest slice. I'd probably get this again if I came back to 2 Bros Pizza. Overall, it was just OK. Nothing phenomenal. When you and a few friends are in the final stretch of a 26.2 mile virtual marathon around NYC and you don't care about pace or overall time you take a few minutes to refuel with $1 pizza! We did just that is past October. Typical $1 cheese slice that you will find at all their locations. We saw this location on our trek and the $1 slice sign, and knew this was our carbohydrate calling! Sure, the staff can be a bit rude and gruff. The pizza is not the greatest, but our slices came from a fresh hot pie they just had pulled from the oven, so it was all good to us. Once I got my order from the manager I asked if they had cheese and he said they didn't, but one of the guys making pizza added " No cheese, ketchup or mustard, this is NY".
