Happy New Year! After seeing they were open in a Facebook post, we high tailed it down for Breakfast. As a frequent customer of their Southborough location we are very excited to have 2 Mauro's open closer to home. Food was great as expected, atmosphere is very different from Southboro but very nice. Staff was still figuring things out but if we didn't know it was their first day you would not be able to tell. We look forward to frequenting 2 Mauro's, the only downside is we probably won't get to their Southborough location much anymore. Welcome to Ashland 2 Mauro's! read more

My husband and I went for breakfast yesterday.. Liked the way they finished the restaurant. Service was ok.. Food was a thumbs down. I ordered the eggs benedict, and my husband had the irish eggs benedict. My english muffins were wet from the eggs not being drained properly from the water and not edible. I guess they attempted to make homemade corned beef hash. It was slices of corned beef fried. One egg was cooked perfect, the other over cooked... Promising soft opening which resulted in far more diners than anticipated due to posts on Facebook. Staff took it all in stride and no doubt are all drained after such a steadily busy first day serving customers. Prices were reasonable, service was extremely friendly, coffee was decent with frequent refills. Two members of our party had the Hash It Out which was very good and will improve as the griddle gets seasoned over time. I had the Mauro's Special with perfectly cooked over easy eggs, delicious pancakes that had a hint of birthday cake flavor, and some of the best thick cut applewood smoked bacon I've ever had. read more

Visiting from Orlando, Florida and had an amazing experience at this family owned restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the bacon crisp panini, home fries, and French toast! I had such a lovely breakfast here with a friend, you'd think it's just a "normal" breakfast place but everything is SO well made and the service is terrific! The iced coffee is delicious (and they offered me a free refill), the raisin bread toast was some of the best raisin bread I've ever had, and the Greek omelette filling (olives, feta, spinach) was very generous. Our food was awesome! Only one thing, I ordered the Belgian Waffle and I felt it was pricey for just one waffle and no sides. Just my opinion. Loved the home made corned beef hash, home fries and meat lovers breakfast burritos. We like to try a variety when we place our first order at a restaurant. Much needed new breakfast spot in Ashland. First visit was great. The glazed bananas french toast was really good. Its kinda like a cinnamon roll instead of traditional french toast. Absolute worst experience ever. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, it took our server 10 minutes to greet us. When she finally came to the table, she said "I have a few big tables, I'll get to you guys if I can. Do you want coffees?" And walked away before we could specify our coffee order (I have to drink decaf due to medications). She came back, slammed two mugs on the table. After another 20 minutes without any check in from her, we walked out. Would not recommend. read more

Great local cafe to get breakfast or brunch without having to drive to Sudbury to The Farmer's Daughter (where there's always a long wait and not so great service because they seem to always be understaffed.) This would be a great family place. However, all highchairs have broken security belts and the baby changer for the restroom is on the floor in the hallway. I keep hoping that someone will recognize what an inconvenience this is and maje it a bit easier for patrons with children. read more

We were looking forward to trying a new restaurant in the neighborhood, and we were not disappointed. Bright and nicely decorated inside, with cozy booths and tables. Several old clocks as decor on the walls, a nod to Ashland's history as "Clocktown", home of the first electric clocks. I had the "Triple Threat" turkey club sandwich - huge and yummy, with house-made chips on the side. My companion had a Greek omelet from the breakfast menu (breakfast all day!) and enjoyed it very much. Our server, Kathleen, was cheerful and welcoming, making sure that our drinks were refilled. Amazing!! The place looks beautiful, very clean, and the food is even better! We had a group on a busy Sunday morning, and all the food was fresh and hot. 1st time - went for breakfast. Ordered the classic burrito which was big. The reason for the 3 rating is when I asked for salsa and sour cream she took back the bill she left and charged for the sour cream and salsa. The sour cream and salsa were nothing more than a tablespoon. I feel if your ordering a burrito that should include the salsa and sour cream. The food was average. read more

Welome to Ashland! Dean Lewis is a great guy and cook, we know him from our days when our daughter went to Fay school for 9 years. Food is very good, tuna is wonderful as is their homemade soups. Next I want to try their hamburgers and the Banana French toast. They certainly have new opening pains, but that is to be expected. Waitresses need time to learn the menu and more about the food to be able to help ordering/serving faster and better. There is also a terrible cold snap every time someone opens the door, so I suggest eating at the other end not at the booth or front until they fix that issue. Overall very happy, just need to give them some time to harmonize this new business full of new employees, congrats! read more

Went there for breakfast this past weekend. Wait wasn't too bad for just a party of 2. Service was ok -- the food took at least 25 minutes and it was pretty simple (eggs with toast/bacon/home fries and an omelette with homefries). Food was okay but definitely could have used more salt. I wasn't wowed but I wouldn't rule out going back again as it's the closest breakfast place to where I live. read more

I've now visited three times since they opened. The food, service, and atmosphere are all fantastic! The French toast is the best I've had and the eggs and home fries haVe beeN cooked perfectly. While the prices are slightly higher than I would have expected for the area, the food is much better quality than other places. Also, while there is often a wait during busier times, the line surprisingly moved quickly. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's definitely someplace I will visit often. read more

We live right down the street and have been very excited to try this place out! We arrived at about 930 on a Sunday morning, and we were seated in about 5-10 minutes. I ordered a large iced coffee which was given to in a take away cup (I was very happy about that!!). I ordered one of the specials which was the ABC omelet, avocado, bacon and cheddar. The avocado is not inside the omelet, it is a scoop of yummy guacamole on the top! No onions in the guac which I was happy about. Home fries and toast were included. I chose the deep fried home fries. My fiancé ordered the village delight- two eggs any style, he chose bacon, and the grilled home fries along with toast. We also got the All American Belgian Waffle to share with our 18 month old. She had plenty of our food and we all had leftovers to take home. I wish I took a picture of everything but we were hungry! Really enjoyed this place and we will definitely be back again! read more
