The couple who runs 24 Guerrero Cleaners are the epitome of a wonderful neighborhood business. They have always been warm, kind and welcoming, and in more than two decades they have never once lost or damaged anything, mixed up my clothes, or had my laundry late. The turnaround is always impressively fast, and that kind of consistency and care is pretty extraordinary. The quality of the wash and fold is also excellent. I can pick everything up, take it home and put it directly into my drawers and closet. As a longtime San Francisco bachelor without laundry at home, I appreciate that more than I can say. Lee and Zoe run this simple laundry mat. It's a neighborhood family run business. When I first came here I had been using a service in the Richmond near my son's place. She was slow, didn't have my laundry done until a week sometimes, complained if there was something left in the pockets, and just overall wasn't that great- so after a few times coming to 24 Guerrero, I was impressed with how quick they completed everything, clothes folded nicely and I since had a couple dry cleaned items. Also, they are 1/2 the price than many other laundry mats around the neighborhood... in the Noe, Castro, Delores Park and close by neighborhoods. Remember that! PLEASE DON'T GO HERE. This is my first time posting a negative review because it is necessary. It's my mistake, I didn't read all the reviews. Now, I am paying the price of how bad the service this cleaner has. I came to dry clean my wedding skirt. The guy totally ruined it and used close pins on it. It is really bad and left holes in my skirt!!!! I don't have any other way to fix it as my wedding will be in 4 days. I don't know what else to do to express my anger and disappointment. DO NOT GO HERE. I normally do not leave negative or any reviews but I had to warn others of this experience to save your clothes. I have come a few times in the past to dry clean my suits. They have been fine in the past. However... I come to drop off my suit (expensive one mind you) for a wedding a week before. The man working noticed a small tear in the back pocket due to the stitching unraveling and offered to fix it for a reasonable price. I asked if its in their wheelhouse and the response was that it was easy and no problem. I come back to see that he absolutely butchered it. I told him it was unacceptable and that my pants were pretty ruined (see picture - right corner of the pocket completely ruined). After a brief exchange I didn't think he understood my frustration so I started speaking Chinese. Now we got somewhere...he was able to express better and started getting mad at me because he felt I was attacking his craftsmanship. He continued to try to charge me because it took him a lot of time. UNACCEPTABLE. I wasn't able to get through to him so I left him a $20 for the dry cleaning and walked out with my clothes. I recently moved in very close to this wash & fold place. Although I never thought I would be the kind of person who would use wash & fold, at .69/lb, I had to give them a shot! There have been a couple of really minor issues, but I just talked to them about it--they were really nice and the issue was resolved! Seriously, if you have an issue, just ask kindly, and they'll talk to you honestly. Well, it worked out really well, so I decided to ask if they would be able to do a twice weekly pick up at my massage therapy office because it would save me almost HALF on my laundry bill. Woohoo! They cheerfully agreed. I gave Wei a key, and like a magical laundry fairy, he comes in early in the morning and picks up the dirty laundry and leaves a fresh batch! He even gets stains out that others have not been able to remove. I have been going to this cleaner on and off for last few years. Few weeks ago, I gave them a bunch of clothes to get cleaned including several shirts and a dress. most of them came out clean, however one of the shirt just wasn't cleaned properly, stains were still there. And dress (a purchase from Nordstrom's was ruined with indigo colors all over what was a black and white dress. I have to note here, that I did not go through every clothes in the package that were cleaned by them onsite, I only discovered the issue after I got back home. I had to travel for few days so I went back to them week later, and explained the issue. He took in the shirt and cleaned out the stains in two minutes (without even acknowledging this should have been done in the first place). Regarding the dress with indigo colored stains, they simply claimed that it was dress' fault as it maybe of poor quality and black color have bled on to the white fabric as blue color. I tried to be very civil about this. Asked them several time to at least give it another cleaning try, but they refused! Instead asked me to go talk to the store of purchase. I told them I'm not expecting them to replace or pay for the dress just another try at cleaning to no avail. A $200 dress from Nordstrom, that has been cleaned before with no issues, some how just bled colors. Needless to say, As long as your clothes are not ruined by them you will have a decent experience, but REMEMBER that, they will make no effort to help you, or do the right thing for their customer. I will not go there again, and I hope all of you do the same. It would have been easy for them to just give it another try to help my reasonable concern. Now I will be sure to give them a bad rep on all social review platforms, so maybe customers or owner will take a notice. i will be reporting this to BBB as well. read more

Dry cleaning/laundering: Inexpensive, convenient, done right & on-time (rush available). That's expected. Tailoring/fitting: Excellent, done right; quick & also inexpensive. Service: Polite, accommodating; the 1 problem I had (they did over-iron a shirt cuff and 'burned' it but it came out) - they took it back, apologized; fixed it quickly and nicely. I believe (but don't know) this is family-run; too, so that's another plus in my book. They're on my way to work, so will continue to use them. I've been going here for about a year, and without a doubt, this is my favorite drop off wash and fold. I've never had a bad experience and always have my clothes finished on time. They even repaired my laundry bag (which had a big rip at the top) for free. I didn't even ask them to do it! I just picked up my laundry one day and it was fixed! Hate to leave a mediocre review since I have been going there for one and a half years now, and I was happy with the service most of the time. Last time I picked up my stuff one of my pants had detergent stains all over the place, a belt got missing and three sweaters had shrunk, one of them really noticably. I went back and complained; they could fix the pants and found the belt. However, my 145$ sweater was ruined and all responsibility denied. The woman I spoke to said I must have put it in the laundry, implying I was lying, straight to her face. Pretty disappointing given that I am a frequent customer. It didn't seem they have insurance, the only thing she offered me, after arguing for a while, was store credit. Not going back, so - no, thanks to that. read more

This review is mainly for their alterations, though I have had one thing dry cleaned here (it was perfectly satisfactory, done quickly and inexpensive). After losing some weight, I brought 7 items here to be tailored in the waist--pants, shorts, and skirts. They did an impeccable job with my clothes. There was only one item I brought that they told me they couldn't work on because of the material, so they didn't alter it (it was spandex, and I really respect that they evaluated it and decided not to touch it instead of trying to work on it and risking messing it up). I can't even figure out where they managed to make the cuts and take fabric off, and I am so pleased with their work. I have several more items I need to be tailored and will definitely be returning to 24 Guerrero. For the 6 items I brought, it came out to $82. I thought this was a fair price, especially since it's way cheaper than replacing my clothes with newer ones in different sizes. If you live in the neighborhood, or even if you don't, I highly recommend coming to them for tailoring! read more

This was my dry cleaner for ten years. They are great at getting out spots -- even the ones they say they "can't" remove. I've also had good luck with very basic alterations (hems, buttons.) I had to remove two stars because for some odd reason my clothes regularly came back smelling worn! OK, it was MY smell, but I'm really not all that stinky. It was like things were pressed, but not actually cleaned! I used to to smell every returned piece before I paid and had them re-clean anything that wasn't fresh. You can't beat the prices for wash and fold. We drop off several bags of laundry each month, and I love that they do same day. They don't do a super careful job folding like some other places that charge more, but I am generally not too worried about wrinkled shirts and unmatched socks. However, if you have anything you really, really like, don't take it here. I ALWAYS end up with some articles of clothing that aren't mine (usually a couple of kids' items or someone's underwear), and I suspected that meant that a few of our things might migrate into someone else's laundry. Last time I got my clothes back, sure enough, I am missing a new Lululemon top that I had waited to purchase forever until I could treat myself. I called and they don't have it. Used to come here for wash and fold and occasional dry cleaning. I talked my roommate into bringing her laundry here and they completely ruined her comforter cover. They recently ruined an expensive white dress shirt by turning it blue. I only noticed when I got home, and when I brought it back in the guy basically blamed the fabric. I wish I could trust this place since it's so convenient, but they're way too hit and miss. I don't think they look at labels or pay much attention to the clothes they hand back to you. Take your clothes to 25th St Cleaners just a couple blocks away. Way nicer, more communicative and trustworthy. read more

They put my whites in the dryer with a tube of cherry Chapstick - not mine - and it left greasy red stains on my clothes. Thankfully just my gym clothes. Everyone makes mistakes, right? So I gave them another chance. This time they apparently washed my darks with my lights or something, and I've got red stains on my bath towels. Of the maybe 6 or 8 times I've taken them things, twice there have been issues. I don't like those odds. Not going back. read more

I can't say enough good things about 24 Guerrero Cleaners!!! Their prices are very reasonable. They do same day service. They are a dry cleaner and they do wash and fold. Last week I brought in a pair of white linen pants that I'd spilled red wine on 2 weeks before. The stain had long since set and I had given up hope of ever wearing them again. When the guy there asked me if he could work on them for a week, I said "sure", not expecting anything. I couldn't believe it when I picked them up and they were perfectly clean - no trace of the stains!! Also, the man who owns and runs it with his wife couldn't be nicer. My bf is a bit of a linguist and the owner teaches the Captain a new Cantonese phrase every time he comes in. "Please" and "thank you" are important, but when he came home from the cleaners sweetly proclaiming, "Wo ai ni", I knew we'd never take our clothes anywhere else! read more

I've now given this place 3 chances, and I really have no one to blame but myself. The first time I went, I got someone else's blue sweater. I took it back and they thanked me profusely and gave me a discount for my next load. I had to go back. . . right? The second time, I got some dude's T-shirt. I took it back and expressed concern. If other people's clothes were in my bag, surely some of mine were in their's. . .right? They assured me that this never happens, and again I got a discount. The third time, my brand new pillow case came back with a hole in it. While they offered to patch up the pillow case, I'd be an idiot if I went back for more. read more

They're cheap. BUT they've shrunk multiple items including shirts, t-shirts and now today, jeans that I've expressly said need to be cold washed and hung dry. The savings don't really work out when I'm constantly having to throw away things. Also they've lost many socks and smaller items over the 6 months or so I've been using them. They frequently can't find things that I know I dropped off. About once a month I have to insist on having them them go look for shirts in the back until they find them. Basically, It's all a bit hap hazard and frustrating in there. Overall they're nice enough people. Some advice: buy some net bags, put all socks in one together, and everything you want washed cold and hung dry in another, and label the bags. This at least helps to mitigate mixups and mass shrinking of everything you own! read more

I used them for years. The colors became less vibrant with every cleaning. They are tightwads and it shows in zero capital improvements to the property which is large and dirty. The worst part was that they ruined two dresses, puckers and stains came back that were NOT on the fabric and blamed the fabric. I quite immediately and I highly recommend finding another cleaners. They seem friendly enough but when there are problems they will NEVER ACCEPT responsibility. In fact, they hide behind Chinese language problems. Go elsewhere read more
