Follow @jfoodreviews Solid food Vietnamese food in kerrisdale neighborhood. Street parking infront is paid. I ended up getting the -bun Bo hue (beef and pork noodle soup) -chicken wings -hot coffee with condensed milk. Solid food and they also had interesting starter combinations on the menu to try different appies. Interior doesn't look that great. But the food is amazing. Will come back for their pho

Small rare beef and meatball pho

The food is very good and comforting! I especially loved their chicken wings. They are $1 each during happy hour with a minimum order of 8. They are super crispy, not dry, seasoned well and has lots of garlic. It pairs very well with the lemon dipping sauce that comes on the side. I would definitely come back for their chicken wings. The I got a small P4 - rare beef and meatball pho. It was good! It comes with pre-cooked bean sprouts so if you want them raw, you should request for that. The employees are very nice and the restaurant is very spacious.

Store front itself is nice, clean and spacious. Decently quiet for a good conversation with some comfort food on a Monday evening. The $1 wings for happy hour is for the win. Minimum order of 8 so we had 4 each. Wings were super crispy - well done! - but not quite as flavourful as pheom phen. I think their seasoning is close but they can be way more generous with the seasoning. It mostly tasted like super delicious crispy wings but not pheom phen wings, lacking in the sweet and savoury flavour. Otherwise lots of garlic seasoning and the dipping lemon sauce was decent. The p1 special pho was also phenomenal. I enjoyed the usual topping - beef ball, beef slice, tendon, tripe - but the rib was to the next level. Cook to perfect doneness, fall off the bone without losing the bite and texture of the beef. It also has a distinct flavour like lamb - yum! 10/10 would come back again. I'd like to try their dessert and drinks next time as well!!

Came here for the $1 wings. It was fried well. The downside was that although there's lots of garlic, you don't really taste the garlic. Would be good if they threw in butter garlic and green onion at the end to infuse the flavor. The lemon pepper sauce was extremely little. It's a very shallow dish and meant for a couple of wings. We ordered 15 and it was the same small dish. The bun rieu was nice. Very tomatoey and has a slightly sweet tone. I like it more than bun cha now that they are so salty.

We had seen a video on instagram about how the chicken wings from this place were so good so we had to try! They have a happy hour special starting at 2:30pm for $1 per wing. They also have $1 off beers and house wine, $6. We ordered two dozen wings, some spring rolls and some chicken skewers. The server had a hard time understanding our English, and his English was very limited. We had a friend with us who is gluten free and we were asking if there were gluten free spring rolls (made with rice wraps) or if the chicken wings were dipped in cornstarch instead of flour. After speaking with the chef we found out that they both have gluten. We suggested the alternatives, hopefully they will consider it! The wings were excellent, nice and crunchy on the outside and moist inside. The topping was fabulous, we just wish it was freshly chopped garlic rather than the jarred garlic. They give a lemon and black pepper dipping sauce. We were really happy and will be back for their special. The place itself seemed a bit dirty and old. When we went to pay, we could see in the back and it didn't look great. It was very empty. Hopefully it will be able to make a few updates and get some more customers in so it stays open! The wings are worth it!

We went to this place for lunch on New Years eve afternoon. It's a traditional small Vietnamese cafe with minimum decors. On that day, we ordered the Beef Curry Noodle Soup and Hainanese Chicken Rice. The curry noodle soup was tasted great, however, the meat beef meat was a little tough on that day. The rice dish was great in taste with a beautiful presentation. Service weas good with minimum attention. I would recommend this place for a quick lunch!

Love this place! Came here for dinner at 700pm on a Saturday. Saw only a few tables seated. We were greeted and seated right away. Despite it looking empty at initial glance, the restaurant is huge with tables stretching into the far back. The decor and furnishing is simple and unassuming. Food: We ordered the special pho, salad roll, beef stew pho and a lemongrass pork banh mi. Mom had cravings for the chicken wings so we waited until 8pm for happy hour prices ($1/wing). Pros: - soup for the pho came out piping hot. I love this and makes the food so much more satisfying - beef stew pho is so flavorful and balanced with big chucks of tender beef. Please try it. - chicken wings came out piping hot and really good size - banh mi was tasty. The bread is light and not too chewy with plenty of protein filling - service was friendly and attentive, they even offered to change plates and chopsticks at some point - seating is very spread out between tables so it feels more private and comfortable

Seems like the place changed hands again. Super good and "quick" service. The Chinese female owner was quite friendly. Decent price hence decent viet place. The current viet coffee of $3 is a good deal hence the additional star ( 4 star review). Would prefer it a little stronger though personally. And even though I asked for less sweet, it was still a tad too sweet for me. Pho was decent with added shiracha and their spicy sauce. Otherwise broth was a tad lacking for my personal preference.

Very good value. Their chicken wings are to die for with that dipping sauce. Vietnamese coffee was a HIT. Service was outstanding. Very friendly and courteous. The only thing will be that the lemon grass chicken and pork chop were a bit on the thin side.

After seeing a TikTok, I decided to try @26 Viet for myself. There's underground parking located behind the restaurant, accessible from the alley. Just take the elevator up to street level -- the entrance is right beside the elevator. The vibe is casual, and we were warmly greeted by a very pleasant server upon arrival. We ordered: 1. Lemongrass chicken on rice 2. Crunchy deep-fried whitefish 3. Crunchy deep-fried chicken wings 4. @ #1 beef noodle soup Our food arrived quickly. The lemongrass chicken came out first -- it was flavorful and enjoyable. Next was the beef noodle soup, which I found to be just okay. Then came the whitefish. The server winked and mouthed "this is very good" as she placed it down. It looked great, but to me, it lacked flavor. Lastly, the chicken wings arrived. Visually, they reminded me of Phnom Pehn's chicken wings, but again, they were missing depth and seasoning. I really wanted to love this place, but to be honest, the food didn't quite hit the mark for me. That said, the service was excellent -- super friendly and attentive.

Under new ownership this is a really nice restaurant run by a very nice Chinese lady. I ordered the wagyu beef pho which was delicious. She often came by to ask how everything was. The broth was delicious and the meat tender. Yum yum!

Signature Beef Noodle Soup with beef rib, beef ball, beef tripe, beef brisket, and rare beef.

The restaurant was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly, super helpful and patient with us ordering and accommodating my allergies. A waitress talked with the chef in the back, and she reassured me that the chef would use new oil for the snack platter so there's no cross contamination with any fish which it was greatly appreciated! I would recommend to try this spot! And I look forward to returning to try other menu items in the future.

A Gastronomic Awakening in Chinatown! You don't truly know…read moreuntil you go--and now that I've been, I'm haunted. As I write this, I am literally still dreaming of the Hong Kong Style BBQ Pork. It didn't just "eat" well; it dissolved into a decadent, sweet, fatty puddle of pure bliss. Walking in, the vibe is quintessential Chinatown: a bustling counter, a glass case showcasing glistening roasted treasures, and a seating area that trades fancy decor for pure, functional authenticity. We were clearly out of our element, probably looking like deer in headlights, but the staff met our confusion with warm smiles. Then came Bobby--the absolute heart and soul of this place. We walked in expecting the standard American-Chinese routine, but Bobby whisked us away to a cozy table and treated us like family. He started us off with a fragrant jasmine tea so naturally sweet and floral it didn't need a grain of sugar--perfect for a biting winter night. While we flirted with the Happy Hour menu, Bobby took the reins. You don't say no to a man with that much charisma and passion! On his expert recommendation, we pivoted to the Two-Meat Combo (BBQ Pork + Soy Chicken) with a side of their famous Roast Duck. The food arrived in a lightning-fast 10 minutes, but the real treat was Bobby's play-by-play on how each dish was prepared. You can taste the pride in every bite. The balance was masterclass: a symphony of sweet, salty, and umami. The meats were succulent, the skins were shattery-crisp, and the glazes were perfectly sticky. The undisputed heavyweight champion, however, was that Hong Kong BBQ Pork. Imagine the best "burnt ends" of your life, drenched in a caramelized, mouth-watering sauce that demands your full attention. We left Chinatown BBQ feeling more than just sated--we felt enlightened. If you're looking for a "one in a million" meal, let Bobby order for you. You won't regret it.

The char siu and soy sauce chicken were both cooked perfectly, moist and flavorful. The green scallion sauce was not necessary but it was still delicious ! Would've been great over rice. The extra fatty char siu the server gave me to try was over the top! Perhaps the best char siu I've had to date. My server, Bobby? Did a fantastic job and was very informative and I can tell he really likes what he does thru his enthusiasm

Even without the free lunch set they are super great deals with most lunch sets $20 or less. I ordered a beef toro, pork and chicken lunch combo. It was a lot of food! The lunch set comes with salad, soup, side garnishes, rice, and the three meats. I love that they clearly label each meat. The sauce was delicious and the meats generally pretty good. I loved the toro - very fatty the way I like it and cooks quickly. The chicken was very delicious and juicy just takes much longer to cook of course. The pork was only OK. It wasn't the fatty one and kind of dry. My wife loved her udon and also we got a steamed salmon. You grill it in a closed container and it was good, the salmon goes well with the ginger. Also got a green tea mochi dessert and they stick a birthday candle sparkler thing on it. Fun and good! Ordering is super easy via an iPad like thing and they are pretty helpful. Love to come back!

This place doesn't offer free parking and the parking fees are of Vancouver standard at around $14 for 2 hours. You can purchase parking time by minutes so perhaps you can park for 1.5 hours and cap it at around $10.50. They offer very good quality beef but no lamb options here.
