We are from out of town and I wanted to eat at a upscale place that overlooked the water. I made a reservation and specifically put in the notes we wanted a table that overlooked the ocean. When we walked in the place was virtually empty. Seeing how it was upscale I figured I didn't have to say anything about the water view. We got sat at a booth in the middle of the restaurant. I asked if we could sit in the area that I requested that oversees the water. I think the hostess was new as she seemed nervous and didn't know what to do. We finally got sat in the area I requested. Our server was nice yet very serious. He was taking care of the table next to ours. It didn't take long to realize it was either his first day or his last. He took forever to do everything and it got annoying fast. The table next to us was complaining about him too. For food I started with oysters. They were good but very small. I also tried the 2 bloody marry oyster shooters which my server acted like he was doing me a huge favor because it is apparently only served in the bar area. I didn't like it but honestly I didn't think I would. Entree I got the Choice Cowboy Ribeye. For what I think cost $80 it was a huge disappointment. Very little flavor. I was waiting for our server for so long I had to get up and find him. Once I did and asked him for salt he said "Oh you got your food already?". Keep in mind we had gotten our food at least 10 minutes prior. My wife got the half chicken which was actually decent. The saving grace for me was the creamed spinach. It was the best creamed spinach I have ever had. For an upscale restaurant I was very disappointed specifically the service. When you are paying these prices the hostess should know how to read reservation requests and apply it. Well... the cowboy steak was delicious, the dry aged porterhouse was absolutely horrendous. The latter was chewy, no sear, and absolutely no flavor - we had to douse it with salt. Felt like it came out of a microwave. We told the waitress and the manager came and they ended up giving us a free $10 dessert. Makes no sense, paid $70+ for a terrible steak and we get $10 discount. They should have refunded the horrendous steak at a minimum, we would have tipped them the amount and then some. Finally, the total bill with tip was around $280, another $20 and we could've ate at Valle right next door, an amazing michelin starred restaurant. Rethink how you treat unsatisfied customers. I recently visited 333 Pacific with my parents and was delighted to arrive just in time for happy hour. While my mom wasn't a fan of many menu options, my dad and I decided to indulge in appetizers and drinks. We kicked things off with some delicious truffle fries and calamari. The filet mignon skewers were a mixed feeling 2/3 were excellent, but we had to send one back due to undercooking, so definitely keep an eye on that! I did try my dad's drink, the whiskey and blood, that was really good....I'd definitely recommend that! Midway through the meal, we decided to try the oyster shooters, which were interesting, though I recommend sipping them slowly before taking the shot for the best experience. The elderly couple next to us recommended that when I saw them drinking them. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the Brussels sprouts; they were overcooked, although the idea of adding almonds was appealing. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, with a great setting. However, the crowd predominantly, older, which was fine since my parents fit right in. I would love to recommend this place to my friends, I guess just a heads up that the majority of the customers seem to be 50 and up. Tonight, my wife and I dined at 333 Pacific. We were given a table by the window, so we could see the pier, ocean, and eventually, a beautiful sunset. We began the evening with a bottle of Pinot Noir. Our first course was the Glazed Crispy Pork Belly. Oh so gos,with great flavor. By now, our server brought us so,e warm bread with herb butter. This is a beautiful restaurant right at the pier in Oceanside. Service was wonderful. Everyone was attentive and welcoming. We sat a table outside where we could see the hustle and bustle of the street and view of the water. The food was delicious as well. I started with a Caesar salad and then had the side of mac n cheese with added caramelized onions. The Caesar was fresh, crisp and just the right amount of dressing. I loved the house made croutons. Attended for a friend's wedding reception and I was super excited because I've heard great things about this place but I had never been here. The servers were nice, we had a great server (I can't remember her name). There was a long wait in between courses though and that was kind of a bummer as we were pretty hungry. We did have the Brussels sprouts appetizer which was pretty good, had too much balsamic on it though. We also had the calamari appetizer too but same thing the sweet glaze on it was a bit much and made the fried exterior on the calamari soggy. The dinner rolls were interesting, they had rosemary or something in them, but they were super hot and fresh. I was expecting a sourdough roll I guess so I didn't really like the rosemary component. The salmon dinner was a very small portion, the flavor was different too. I think there was a blood orange glaze on it and it's definitely different than what I'm used to, I've not had a salmon or any fish made with that. We were seated in the back in a nice reserved room and I really liked it. It was big enough for our decently sized party and the holiday decorations in the room were pretty. I visited 333 Pacific over the summer, and overall it was a really good experience with a few highs and lows. The location is amazing--right across from the Oceanside Pier with a great view. Upon walking in, the restaurant was very loud, which I wasn't expecting from a high-end steakhouse. The hostesses seemed pretty young and a bit casual, but they got me seated quickly. I was placed inside with a lovely view of the pier, plus a good angle of the TV at the bar (the fight was on, so that was a bonus). I was also seated right next to their wine cellar, which was a nice touch. Props to my server--by far one of the best service experiences I've had at a restaurant. She was super caring and attentive, checked in about every 10 minutes without being overbearing, and made sure everything was going smoothly from start to finish. She started me off with a steaming hot bread roll--served one at a time instead of in a basket--which was absolutely delicious with the butter. I ordered the half dozen oysters as an appetizer, the dry-aged New York strip steak for my entrée, and a side of macaroni. The oysters were fantastic--by far the best I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and served with great sauces (the little Tabasco bottle was a fun detail). The steak arrived sizzling on a piping-hot plate and was perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned beautifully. Honestly, one of the better New York strips I've had. It was served over tasty potatoes with little green onions on top, which added a nice flavor. The macaroni was creamy and good, though nothing out of the ordinary. At the end of the meal, they brought out a complimentary slice of cake. The cut was thin, but it was delicious, and I also ordered a coffee that really hit the spot. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is the noise level. For how upscale and pricey this place is, I expected the ambiance to feel more refined. We were blown away by an epic seafood dinner here at 333 Pacific! They were able to seat us right away without a reservation on a holiday weekend by letting us sit in the first-come-first-serve tables up front. Our server Jordan took great care of us all night, from cocktails to appetizers to the main course. Their happy hour was awesome, $10 per plate for a delightful lobster bisque, giant caesar salad, and steamed mussels. Then the main was absolutely incredible: we shared the Colossal Seafood Tower and they were NOT joking about the "colossal" part of that! We could not believe the portion sizes. A giant mason jar of delicious tuna tartar, a big bowl of shrimp ceviche, a dozen plump meaty oysters, tons of jumbo shrimp, a full dungeness crab cluster, and on and on and on. Amazing. The only thing we didn't totally love on the tower was the lobster, it was good but a little tough. (It could just be that I'm from the Northeast though so I get picky with my lobster lol) I have to mention though how amazing the bread course was. They could have just put out simple bread and butter and we would have been happy, but they went way over the top with these beautiful freshly-baked rosemary buns and three different kinds of soft whipped butter. Super delicious. Yes it was a little expensive... by the time it was all said and done, about $350 for three of us with tax and tip. But for being able to eat seafood a stone's throw from Oceanside beach, with great service, top quality, and huge portion size, well, you get what you pay for sometimes. From the hostess, waitress, to the manager who checked in on us - everyone was professional, quick and had the right balance of making sure we had what we need without it being overbearing The prices are aligned to the type of place as well as location. If you can, get a seat with the ocean view. There is a premium but it was worth it. My wife and I had 3 of our nieces with us. She had the filet, I had the burger. The nieces got the cioppino, pasta and chicken. We had shrimp cocktail, bisque and mussels for our apps. We got some potatoes and asparagus for our sides. It needs its own line item. One of the stars is the bread and sweet butter. Savory warm bread and sweet butter was a great combination. Everything was cooked perfectly and had great seasoning. The portions were more than adequate. Everyone had leftovers including myself. We were all full but my youngest niece wanted dessert so we got the cobbler. It was good but portion was small. So that is the only real negative we had. My 5 year old niece finished most of it. We have been to 333 Pacific several times in the past, but never for Happy Hour which is from 3-6pm, so we thought we would give it a try. The price is good at $10 for the appetizers and drinks on the menu. This is one of the Cohn Restaurants which usually have a good reputation for excellent food and service, and we live closer to another Cohn Restaurant, Vintana, which is one of our all time favorite places to go for a special meal. The view just outside of this restaurant is spectacular, especially around sunset since it's right by the Oceanside Pier. We ordered the 333 filet skewers which were delicious and the meat was very tender. The sweet chili calamari sounded good, but was surprisingly bland and a little chewy. This was very surprising because overall I've had great meals at 333 Pacific and this was definitely subpar for them. Also, in comparison, Vintana's Happy Hour menu is much larger and everything on their menu is excellent, including their calamari which is one of the best, so this one paled in comparison. We then tried the 2 Bloody Mary Oyster shooters for fun, and it was very good, though the amount of grated horseradish definitely surprised me and packed quite a punch, but overall it was a fun and refreshing appetizer. Overall, we'll return again someday, but I would just recommend avoiding the calamari. Most of the food is excellent, and the view is spectacular if you can get there by sunset. read more

Took my husband here for a special birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! Ocean views, white linen tablecloths, and a menu with something for everyone. The star in my mind was the kids menu -- all parents know the dread of going to a "fancy" restaurant with younger kids. But here, for $20, kids get a full three-course experience with plenty of classics to choose from. My 4 year old enjoyed his little crudite, buttered pasta, and brownie sundae. The service and food were excellent. My only critique that is negative is the service charge they tried to pass to me. I reviewed at the bill, which was approximately $400, and noticed a service fee. When I asked my server what this fee was, she explained it was from corporate to pay for health services for employees. She promptly removed it when I asked her to. The menu has this info in small font on the bottom of the menu. I tipped 18% for three of us with a decent bill. I'm not cheap but don't pass your corporate expenditures to me. read more

Well, I'll start with the good points. Dalicia was awesome, sweet, polite and professional. Ambiance was lovely. I asked two waitresses about the ceviche vs the ahi tuna light meals and both told me that that was a tough choice, but favoured the ceviche, so I ordered it. I started eating ceviche in Peru when I lived there in the 70's. I love it, but I must say this was some of the worst I have ever had, to the point I couldn't even finish it. It is advertised as fish and shrimp ceviche. I would say it was 90% fish and the fish was tough and chewy. The shrimp was almost non-existent. I would guess they cooked it in straight lime juice. In any case, it was awful. I don't usually leave reviews and this restaurant was lovely, but the ceviche was so bad I had to warn you. read more

We like to split the meat platter which has steak and a pork chop. The service is good, not Valle' good, but good. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a view. Now a new GM, David Robinson, has entered the equation. Many in our entourage are fans of the key lime pie martini. This item has been taken off the happy hour menu which was met with disappointment By the whole group of about 40 people. We have sent so many people there!!! The staff has stated many times over the years that this will always be on the happy hour menu. Dave could not have been more indifferent or condescending! He did not convey any appreciation for loyalty and made us all feel like we were mere peasants and our business was not needed, or appreciated.
