I don't even know how to describe the energy in this place, but you can just feel it the moment you walk in. The restaurant has a dark aesthetic that gives it such a cool, cozy ambiance. My daughter and I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons. Everything was so filling that we ended up ordering another bowl of the Dan Dan noodles! And honestly, I still crave them. The Dan Dan noodles were SO good. The sauce was the perfect combination of creamy and spicy, and there was a generous amount of minced pork that balanced everything out really well. The wontons paired perfectly with the chili sauce that came with them! They were spicy--my ears turned red and my nose started running--but I literally could not stop going back for another bite. Even the wontons alone were incredibly filling. I don't live anywhere near this place, and I genuinely wish I did. I traveled pretty far to get here, and I'd absolutely do it again. This was one of those meals that stays on your mind long after you've left!

Great cocktails, better food. Some of our favorites are the salt and pepper eggplant and the OG LaZy chicken. Inside is dimly lit with energetic music. There are only 6 or 7 tables inside and rest is seating. Outside is nothing special but you'll still have great food.

Service was very kind and they gave suggestions for what was most popular and what they liked, and I went with their suggestions, and it was all so good! The hamachi crudo had a really nice refreshing sauce to go with the yellowtail, and the curry for the duck was really really good. The tofu was what I liked the least because the fry seemed a bit too doughy, and not crunchy enough, and the sauce wasn't the best. Overall very positive though! Definitely recommend this viet fusion restaurant!

I wish they did a bottomless food option for dinner too that would be insanely amazing. Please try everything with pork belly, shrimp toast was omg ! Absolutely loved loved loved Shoto!…read more Came here with a friend where we partaked in the omakase premium experience. Firstly, the vibe of Shoto is unmatched. It feels very intimate and the restaurant is very spacious. The Omakase experience is one I had always wanted to experience and I'm so happy I got to experience it here. All the food items that came out were delicious and I was so full by the time dessert came out. Service was amazing and our server was pleasant. She made sure we understood all dishes that were coming out and everything came out fresh and prompt. This is the best restaurant for a date night or an intimate birthday dinner. I can't wait tomorrow to come back.

Amazing food Amazing service…read more Amazing ambiance I had the sake tacos which was salmon small bite size tacos. Definitely recommend getting two or three for your appetizer. The beef tenderloin (forgot what they called it) with the potatoes on the side. The beef tenderloin was cooked medium well and tasted so good, don't let it it sit because it can get a little cold quickly. The potatoes were soft fried and had a nice kick with the sauce. I want to try the spicy lamb next time. Paired it with the kemuri cocktail, a mezcal that hints of smokiness but sweet. Ended with one scoop of mango sorbet. My date got the chicken skewers and the grilled salmon well done, it was good but a little dry. Ended with the chocolate fondue with vanilla bean that just melted in your mouth. Parked it all with a Long Island ice tea top shelf. Thank you TJ for serving us and being attentive. It's located right y the street so you can't miss it. You walk in and they have a display of all their whisky. It's intimate but they have plenty room for group settings. Loved the decor especially the fire windows. Can't wait to come back!

I recently went for Restaurant week lunch in addition to trying their new unlimited brunch. Both experiences were as expected, which was phenomenal. I love Restaurant week lunch here since it's just their standard lunch but just a little bit cheaper. In regard to the experience, it's very much a fast casual but very upscale lunch experience. You can get in and out in about 35 minutes with a very good lunch. The unlimited brunch may have been too much for me. The food itself was great, it's exactly what you would expected. The brunch offerings are a combination of all of their restaurants, so you really get a little bit of everything from fresh fish and sushi rolls to salads and other sides and then you'll also have grilled options as well. My personal favorite was the miso, I honestly cannot get enough of the Hachi miso soup that they make. Also a big shout out to their dessert bar, which was absolutely fantastic. Overall, I thought brunch experience was really fun. It was just something cool to try and I left so so so so full. Also, to be able to try all the options from the restaurants within love Makoto, it was just very well priced. After being a patron for going on I don't know how many years now, I always find myself consistently impressed and satisfied with the experience at Love Makoto. Service is always phenomenal. The Service team is always just so pleasant and ready to assist and help. It overall it's just a really great experience.

I really liked the concept of one "old school" and one "new school" style of the same fish. But, the sushi just didn't live up to the hype. First, the pieces of fish were way too big. The fish was far larger than the rice and very difficult to eat. More like 2-3 bites. Also, some fish had skin on - which I know is a chef's choice - but I found it very unappetizing. Had to choke those down. And the "new school" hand-roll had imitation crab in it. So odd and doesn't feel upscale. We enjoyed the frozen strawberry for dessert. They're super cute and tasty. Just wish we had a better experience with the sushi.
