Arrived today to my appointment at 4 PM and the tiny waiting room was packed with 5 more people, almost 90°F inside with no AC. Then they told me they couldn't see me until 5 PM. They could have at least called to move the appointment instead of making everyone wait in uncomfortable conditions. There was only ONE dentist for everyone waiting! Elvis charged me $200 immediately, and when I said I was leaving, he refused to refund me and claimed he "didn't know how." Please beware this place tries to scam you out of money and is consistently changing providers to con people from using insurance. I have great insurance through my employer and it is: MetLife one of leading companies for dental insurance. This was my dental office I Would get my routine cleanings from prior to covid and decided to change offices. The reason being that it was always really nasty inside at the chairs, the carts they use to house the tools, and after I kept observing that they use balloons and random zip lock plastics and hand gloves on equipment as protection against germs from X-ray tools and other utensils placed in your mouth. It has been 3 years since I have been back here due to cleanliness and after covid I was way more aware of these things being a nonnegotiable. In the last 2 years I keep getting texts messages from this office to do cleanings. so out of convenience, I decided to see if things changed. They have changed and for the worst. When I first get there things moved smoothly with no wait, but when I went to the chair I immediately saw alarming things. 1. The head of the chair had blood or a red colored liquid on the side of the head rest area on the seat. I immediately pointed it out and it was wiped. My gut said run, but the tech said it was lipstick or something which is still very disgusting, because if I didn't point out she would have not cared or wiped. They took X-rays and I was very alarmed that the tech had random pieces of plastic on the tools and it was very thin and not fitting on the pieces properly, I eve felt the plastic uncover one piece of the plastic while In my mouth. When we weee done with X-rays, the tech told me the insurance verifier had to go home for the day so I would have to come back at a different time. I let them know I could call my insurance and verify coverage. So I did in the chair. When I called my insurance company, they let me know that the office changed providers a few times and is out of network after the office desk person let me know as they called me 3-4 times to confirm my appointment and verify my insurance coverage. After hearing this i immediately asked to speak with someone in charge, because why am I here and why did they do x-rays before covering any of this with me and I no longer wanted to do anything with this disgusting office. Mind you I have 22 veneers and have never had a cavity in my 30+ years of living. I have good dental hygiene, just sought out a regular cleaning. The tech let me know the manager wasn't there (just like the insurance verifier) either. The manager called me back hours later and let me know that I needed to pay for an x-ray or she would take me to collections. I believe she is the same lady who called me 3-4 times trying to confirm my appt saying insurance was 100% so I was covered as always (being that I get 2 cleanings a year on my insurance). In addition, this place is scamming people and pushing services on them and then trying to get people to pay out of pocket for miscellaneous services. I Never met Dr Manoj Bay but he is the provider behind this horrible, unclean, understaffed, unclear messaging and lying to get people into the seat place. I had to find another dentist and was able to get an appt the same day. Who Metlife insurance trusts!!! I HIGHLY do not recommend this place to anyone it's disgusting and unethical and scammed me out of services to bill me fees that are included on my insurance. I wish I could give zero stars. I came in six months ago with cold and heat sensitivity on one of my molars. They found a small cavity in the X-rays. After drilling into my tooth they told me I needed to go to a specialist. I paid about $700 to get a special root canal done. It has been over three months and they somehow couldn't manage to get my crown approved in time. My tooth recently broke, and I was informed that I now need an implant. I expressed my frustration to the owner and she called me rude. Not only have I been in pain and uncomfortable for several months, I will now be out of a couple thousand dollars because of this mess. read more

Avoid 3D Dental at all costs - unbelievably rude and unprofessional staff. I called this morning to schedule a cleaning and have two teeth looked at--one with a cavity, the other possibly needing a root canal. These services are covered under my insurance, which I had already verified with my provider. Still, I understand the office needs to confirm on their end. The first person I spoke with was a man who clearly wanted to rush through the call. Without any explanation, he abruptly put me on hold. When he returned, he said he had to restart his system--which would've been fine if he had communicated that up front. After I gave him my information, he again placed me on hold to verify my insurance. No problem--until he came back with a condescending tone, stating that I already had a cleaning and X-rays in January 2025 at another location. I had X-rays, yes--but not a cleaning--and when I tried to explain, he repeatedly interrupted and talked over me. When I finally called out his dismissive and rude behavior, he gave the textbook narcissistic response: "I'm sorry you feel that way." Then, mid-conversation, he placed me on hold again. I hung up. When I called back, I got Vivian--easily one of the most unpleasant people I've ever dealt with in any medical office. She answered with a curt, "Can you please hold?" to which I responded, "No." She snapped back with a sharp "WHAT?" as if she couldn't believe someone had the audacity to not comply. I calmly explained that I had already been on hold and didn't want to wait again. Her response? "Too bad. I have other people on hold, and I have to help them first." At that point, I reminded her that if she wasn't actually going to give me the option to say no, then don't bother asking. That seemed to set her off. She came back with a heightened, hostile tone and began talking over me, then claimed, "I can't understand you at all." English is my first language--and I speak clearly--so I asked if she'd prefer Spanish. Her response? More raised voice, more attitude. She then had the nerve to tell me that if I continued to "speak to her the way I was," she'd hang up. I asked her how it was acceptable for her to speak to me that way, but not the other way around. Her reply? Just more deflection and condescension. Bottom line: this office talks down to patients and treats them like they're beneath them. The staff is rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I wouldn't trust them with my dental care if they were the last office on Earth. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

Stay away from this dental office. I went in for a Routine cleaning for the first time. They took the X Ray and the dental hygienist went straight on polishing my teeth. Right after the appointment you can still see the stains and things supposed to be cleaned. This has never happened with my previous dentist. The front desk lady was telling me my insurance does not cover routine cleaning every 6 months( plot twist it does) and i have to pay out of pocket if I want my teeth to be cleaned every 6 months. I honestly wished I listened to the reviews that say "DO NOT GO HERE". Went in as a first timer for tooth pain(wisdom tooth). The first day that I go in, they do an exam, x-rays,cleaning,etc. After reviewing the X-rays, the dentist told me that I would need a tooth extraction both on my wisdom tooth and upper premolar. So he also starts working on my mouth, getting rid of cavities and fillings.(I assume) Wasn't told exactly what they were working on. When that was finished, the lady at the desk talked to me about my extraction procedure stating that my insurance would completely cover the entire procedure, that I would have to pay $1500.00 for two bone grafts. Originally I was hesitant to seek any kind of dental care due to the cost. Because I know my insurance won't cover everything. She talked to me about setting up monthly payments so that kinda of reassured me that things would be ok and I felt confident about getting the surgery done. She then told me that I would need to put down a prepayment for the surgery(any amount) so I put down $100.00. I had to put in another $50.00 as well. So out of my first visit I paid $150.00. And I made the appointment for the tooth extraction. Two days before my extraction appointment I get a phone call saying if I can come in for more fillings....I didn't think too much about it at the time, but usually when the dentist takes out the cavities they fill the teeth after. So I wasn't sure what was done the first day then if I had to get fillings done for a second appointment. I also asked them if my insurance covered it and they said it did. This is where things get a little messy. The day of my extractions, I go to the office and when I arrive they decide to take down my payment information and I am being told the total I would have to pay for the extraction procedure. Let me make it known- It was a different amount than what was said when I first went here. It was almost $3000.00 and I'm standing there thinking to myself, "How did they come up with that amount when I was told a different amount". This is when I begin to feel that they did something shady. Because how is it that I was told my insurance is covering the entire procedure, find out it wasn't and I have to pay almost triple the price than what was originally said to me? Makes no sense in my book. They tried helping me with setting up an account to make monthly payments however they needed a prepayment as well and the price for that, I didn't have. So I'm beyond frustrated and I end up walking out- forget the extraction it's not happening. A few minutes later when I have composed myself after legit having a breakdown I go back to ask for copies of my dental record. (MIND YOU, They don't give you any type of patient copy or paperwork that you sign for anything) So I request a copy of my records and am told it will take awhile....not sure why. So they said they can email me them by the afternoon(Wednesday) so I leave them my email address. A few hours later into the afternoon I get a call back and voicemail saying that they can still do the extractions and that I had a rollover with my insurance. Do I go back? No I certainly do not. And I don't call them back either. At this point I am done and looking for a new dental office. When afternoon passes I check my email and what do I find? Certainly no email containing my dental records. They didn't send me them when they stated they would, but had the audacity to call me saying they can still do the procedure? You can make a call but it takes days for you to send an email? Make it make sense. I tried calling numerous times that day as well to ask again for my dental records around no avail. They wouldn't answer the phone and it was a few hours til closing time. I end up calling the next day(Thursday) same reason- wanting my dental records. After making again, numerous calls(they wouldn't answer). I finally was able to speak to them again asking for my dental records and was cut off by having the lady tell me that I still have a carryover on my insurance and that we can schedule another appointment for the extractions(I told her that isn't why I was calling, I am requesting my dental records, I'll use the remaining balance on my insurance elsewhere. Within five minutes, I kid you not, I receive an email with my x-rays. Only my X-rays....I'm here thinking if they can send it literally that fast after I made the phone call, how come they didn't do it then when I had first asked? It doesn't take a whole day to send an email. As I am writing this review I am currently still trying to get the rest of my dental records as it is my right to have access to. So if you are looking into this place, heed when I say "DO NOT GO HERE". I honestly feel a lot was done on my mouth that I didn't need done at this time. My sensitivity in my right side doesn't allow me to chew, or drink on that side. And my eye has swollen up - I'm having to take several days off work because of the migraine. Very low quality customer service. They put in a filling and within a year it was jagged and digging into my gums. I moved to another state so had to pay out of pocket for an X-ray to see the issue. When I contacted them they said they would re do it. I didn't get back to California for another few months and they told me I would have to pay out of pocket to fix it because it had been longer than 6 months. I had the pleasure of getting treatment by Dr Gurvis. He only works Fridays for some reason, Here is some of the thing he did I found really good. I swallowed my front tooth veneer after a drunken night eating over toasted bread and looked like a homeless crack addict! (reason for visit) 1. He was able to use what was left from a rotted tooth cleaned and was able to match the color perfectly. (He took time to consider many factors. This is always a very hard task for the most experienced doctor) 2. To be less invasive he first tried a smaller post (screw thing) but when it say it wasn't enough used a larger one). This is important because you want to maintain as much of the original tooth as possible large posts weaken it) 3. He is very experienced and knew from xrays what was wrong with my teeth ( more than 3 decades teaches dentistry gains foresight that you can't find anywhere else almost like psychic abilities). 4. He was very careful in not taking more than needed from cavities. (Some dentists will shave much more off than needed) 5. I wanted to drink some whiskey (being Scottish) before my visit and asked for permission. To my astonishment he agreed so next time i cam I had a shot before and I really enjoyed my time there which was not like the usual anxiety attack that is perpetual in a dental visit. 6. Without being pushy or condescending Dr Gurvis was able to give my guidance about possible scenarios regarding the courses of action I could choose for future dentistry that i know I needed to do but have been ignoring! He is a really good dentist but I think I rocked the homeless crack addict look (see pics) before I found him. read more

Went on Monday for a regularly scheduled cleaning and it was not what I was expecting. Going to this place, I always know I'm going to get more than what I'm going for and that's not always a good thing. I say that because this place will definitely look for ways to milk your insurance at all costs. I've been there 3 times for teeth cleanings and I leave with ad on's every single time. And I get it.., make your money, but not at the expense of me having to return in pain. I have been to different dentists before and have had both cleanings and fills so I know what the experience and after experience is like. This last time I went, I was told I needed 4 different fillings. I said okay and signed off on it. Unfortunately I've been in pain when chewing these past 3 days so I finally I called the front desk and told them about it. She said that apparently the dentist who worked on me did not file down the fillings enough so it is causing my bite down pain. I asked if this was normal, she said yes it happens. I'm thinking that they don't do a good job here of being accurate when doing this procedure so they consistently have patients coming in with this issue. Like i said before, this has never happened to me over the years at different practices, so it comes at shock for them to tell me it's normal at this one. She told me to come in to get it resolved, which is the good part, but the bad part is that a simple cleaning turned into such an inconvenience. Not to mention that the cleaning wasn't up to par in my opinion. All I feel that was done was brushed with a lil bit of polish and rinsed out. No floss, no picking, no checking for gingivitis in between teeth. Nothing of what I'm use to. I was really wanting/hoping to get my wisdom teeth pulled out here, but with this last experience I have lost all hope and confidence in coming back. The staff is lovely, I just expect better training, I know that may not be their fault. So this review might be in regards to higher ups. read more

My appointment was scheduled for 3pm and I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour and only after I went to the front desk to ask how much longer I was going to have to wait did they say they are backed up and will see what they can do. I've never had to wait that long ever for the dentist or doctor when I've made an appointment ahead of time. That was my first time at the office and it was really disappointing, probably the worst dental experience I've had because my appointment was rushed through, they hastily took X-rays and did like a 10 min clean. They're tools didn't look good, they looked tarnished and kind of grossed me out. I only came to this office because I changed insurance providers and my usual dentist didn't accept my new insurance. I will not be coming back, I'd rather start over and look for a new office. I would not recommend this office. Dentists are very nice as is the front desk but have been having issues. Have been in tooth pain for the last month. Office keeps sending in my requests to my insurance using the wrong dentist and claims keep getting denied. There is no voice mail on the phone and I have been trying to rectify the issue for 3 days now after being in a month of pain with no help. No one answers the phone. Horrible clinic stay away from them they are always trying to take your money. Went in for a service and they try to charge me when they told me insurance covered my procedure. That if I wanted to take all 3 wisdom teeth out they will need 30 min to take the 3rd teeth out and wanted to charge me 1k for that 1 teeth. I told them to avoid paying out of pocket I will just do the two since Insurance covers it then they stated that there was no issue they can perform the procedure as mention with no out of pocket cost. They never verbally told me that they will perform a bone graft on me during consultation I woke up to them claiming they did it and charged me 1k. Why would I Consent to a bone graph when my body can naturally heal itself. As a medical professional it is your duty to make sure your patient understands and is aware of the procedure done which wasn't the case here. It feels like a violation since it was NEVER mentioned in consult ! Do yourself a favor and don't get any services with them ! read more

I was swollen, in pain, and it was done improperly and botched. I had to go to another endodontist that I trusted and they confirmed that it was not done correctly. This office and dentist did NOT claim responsibility and would not pay for charges for having to go and get this done properly. Do NOT trust these people. They are rude and incompetent. The office is run down and not well maintained. They do not use up-to-date techniques and practices. Be warned. I have been going to 3D Dental for a few years. The first couple of years were great, they took great care of me. But something changed in the past two years. First, the upsell tactics are just exhausting. I could be going in for a simple cleaning (I have 2 covered by my insurance every year), and they somehow find a reason to sell me something that isn't included. Last week I went in for a cleaning. The dentist that checked me, poked me around with a sharp instrument and made me bleed, claiming I needed 'deep cleaning'. I agreed and they showed me that I would need to pay an additional $155 to what my insurance covers. Mind you, the dentist who recommended that was not the same dentist that performed the cleaning. There's always 3-4 people coming in and out and that completely throws you off. Then, the dentist who actually performed the cleaning suddenly declared that we're only going to do the left side of the mouth that day, without much explanation. Once again I agreed, and wanted to confirm that the $155 extra that I'm paying covered both sides of the mouth (otherwise why would you give me a quote for one side of the mouth?!) - He confirmed! I came back today for the right side and after they finished, I went to check out and they wanted ANOTHER $130 for the right side of the mouth. I was completely stunned and told them I was told I paid the $155 amount for the entire mouth and even confirmed before starting the treatment. I did not agree to pay another dime. Not to mention, that the last few times I had my teeth cleaning there, it hurt really bad, even with numbing gel. I've had cleaning in other clinics in the past (and even at this one) that did not hurt that bad. Another incident happened about a year an a half ago, when they offered me a mouth guard to avoid grinding my teeth at night. They checked with the insurance and said it doesnt cover it and that the cost would be $450. Something did not seem right, so I called the dental insurance, went over the different kinds they do cover and they confirmed that it is insured and provided the code. I then called the manager at the dental clinic, gave them the right code (apparently they were using the wrong code) and my co-pay dropped to $50 ! ($400 difference). After today's incident I have honestly had enough and will be looking for a new dental office. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience. I called in early May 2022 for a first-time patient appointment (basic check-up and cleaning), and received an appointment on June 3rd at 8:15am. I gave them my name and my number. I verified their hours of operation on yelp, and their page said the Saturday hours are from 8am-4pm. Great. I didn't receive a reminder call the day prior to the appointment, but didn't think anything of it. When I arrived at 8am on Saturday, June 3rd, the office was closed. The hours painted on their window said the Saturday hours are from 9am-4pm. I was annoyed, but figured the person on the phone meant 9:15am. I returned to the office at 9:10am, and the office was still closed. I waited till 9:15am, and no one came. It was completely empty. I called them several times throughout the day (10am, 11am and again at 3pm), but no one answered. I don't want my dental services (records, treatment, etc) in an office that is so far unreliable. Hopefully other first-time patients have a better experience at this office. I will not schedule an appointment with them again. read more
