Coconut pandan with ice cream- waffle
    Raymond S.

Waffles so good don't need syrup! Great way start day and very nice pineapple cream soda! First customer of day, open 11 so took little longer but very nice out door patio. They were out of soft serve so this has scooped! Maybe they do this if asked.

These vegan combo spring rolls were really good! The sauce was ok to me personally but the rolls themselves were so flavorful it didn't really matter about the sauce. Indulged in a chocolate dipped ice cream- so good and so big. Service has always been wonderful here. Really kind folks. First time visiting after sunset and it was really cute and cozy. Will need to come back and try their waffle special and pho :).

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fast and fresh Vietnamese noodles, rolls, and soft serve ice cream. Was very intrigued when I saw this place go up by Honeybees. This part of Long Beach is not known for Vietnamese food so it was certainly a welcome addition, but how good was the food? In my estimation, pretty darn good! Our first time we got the food to go--tofu rolls, shrimp rolls, and vegan noodle bowl. Some of the rolls had tears in the skin when we got them, but tasted fine. It's great that they offer vegan options, especially when they already have a pretty limited menu. On our second visit we ate on site. I requested a shrimp only bowl, as their regular bowl is shrimp and pork, and they were able to do it. The hubby got the vegan bowl again, and this time I decided to get the house waffle special: coconut pandan waffle with vanilla ice cream and coconut flakes, and it was yum! Portions are generous but probably pricier than what you might get on Anaheim street--if you're not looking for vegan, that is! We are fans and will definitely be back.

We came near opening hour. Super quiet as it is in residential area. One order ahead of us and it's a wait. They share staff with honey bees Waffles smell coconut great. We got is plain without toppings or ice cream The meat on the rolls were warm. Great crunch & veggies were fresh I enjoyed the food but wouldn't make extra trip. There are lot more other places with better spring rolls.

New but part of honeybees. They have 3 categories, egg rolls, bowls, and ice cream. Lots of outdoor seating under umbrellas. Food ordered and delivered in under 10 minutes. I ordered the pork egg rolls (an order comes with 3). It comes with a peanut sauce on the side. I removed one star because the rolls have 4 thinly sliced pieces of pork. Overall ok. They have vegan options and ice cream id like to try. Definitely a nice lunch spot to check out.

My favorite place for vegan spring rolls! What I love about this place is that they have vegan chicken as an option for spring rolls which I have not seen offered anywhere else. Out of all of the vegan spring rolls I've had, this place is the best even above top rated vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Orange County. I love how fresh, flavorful and crunchy it is. Definitely great for a snack or light meal. The spring rolls come with a house vinaigrette however I had asked to try the peanut sauce with it which is delicious and I think tastes better with the spring rolls. I saw that they offer ice cream as well and am hoping they will add more flavors aside from chocolate and vanilla. The only downside is the cost which is a bit steep compared to other places that offer spring rolls. The service is great and the employees are very friendly. As for parking, I didn't see a designated parking lot however there is neighborhood parking available.

Food - 10/10! Oh my goodness their tofu spring roll is so delicious!! As well as the pork one. I will definitely be back to try out the desserts as well as other food times. Service - ordered for pick up and it was on time. Ambiance - Outdoor sitting, there's benches outside to sit at. It's a nice little spot!

I checked out this relatively new place today after cycling. It's conveniently located one block east of Redondo on Third. Such a cute store front and eating area. The menu and ice cream offerings harken back to old days but with healthy food. We tried their special House Spring rolls, Third and Loma Vermicelli Bowl, and homemade iced chrysanthemum iced tea. Oh so delicious and healthy! I could have ordered more but I'll be back. Folks next to us had some ice cream and said it was awesome. Next time. They also have waffles and pancakes?! Good takeout opportunities but enjoy their picnic tables outside with your pooch.

NEW ITEM ALERT! PHO! They are now serving a variety of types of pho (brisket, rare steak, shrimp, vegetable, meatballs), and it is surprising delicious and tasty. My mom is a picky eater when it comes to her (Vietnamese) food, so the fact that she approves and likes it says A LOT! The noodles have the perfect soft/firmness to my liking and the broth is tasty. Brisket meat is tender too. Comes with fresh basil leaves, green chili, and lemon. Table condiments of hoisin sauce, rooster chili sauce, and sliced jalapeño soaked in vinegar available. Friendly and accommodating service. So glad this place is serving fresh, delicious Vietnamese food in Long Beach which saves me the trek to OC which I typically do to satisfy Momma's picky taste buds :). Quality food. Nice inviting ambiance. Corn hole available for entertainment. Well done and thank you, 3rd & Loma.

Found street parking and it is next to a Honeybee coffee shop. 3rd and Loma is like a window stand restaurant where you order from the window outside and they only have picnic tables outside to eat. We order the grilled pork belly spring rolls that came with 3 and peanut sauce. Sauce was good. I thought the spring rolls were good but lacking flavor and taste within the meat. Service was friendly and kind. Food came out relatively quick for a Saturday afternoon.

My friend and I shared a variety of dishes: -Student Noodle: If chow mein and pad thai had a baby, this would be that dish. Without the fish sauce, the noodles tasted like chow mein. This dish overall was good! While I would still opt for pad thai, the noodle texture was good and I enjoyed the flavors. We got this with crispy pork and it was tasty, but I wish it was crispier. I liked how it wasn't too fatty. -Fish Amok: It did not look like the picture, but the dish was still good. It was a sweet fish curry which was sweet from the coconut milk. This was tasty and the fish was soft. It wasn't fishy at all. This paired well with the rice. I would still opt for a savory curry though. -Beef Skewers: These were yummy and I enjoyed the charred flavor of these! The flavor was very similar to Filipino skewers. I liked how even the fatty parts were enjoyable. Steamed Rice: Fluffy and not mushy which I liked. It came served in this cute rice bucket which preserved the heat of it. The restaurant was decorated nicely and was pretty clean. Bathrooms available which were also clean. The service was good and attentive. There's lots of free parking in the lot in front. Overall, a solid Cambodian restaurant that's worth checking out in the Long Beach area!

Originally, we were going to try to hit up Zuzu's petal, but the line was ridiculously long and the parking was a nightmare, so I decided to take her to my 2nd choice, which was Kin Long. I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill local, Thai place with food that is more homestyle and tastes slightly above average to hit the Thai food fix. Boy, was I wrong! First and foremost, they have their own parking lot, so YAY! It's starting to sound like my standards are low, but they aren't. OMG- their restroom is clean! JK. From the outside, it looked nice enough, but I was impressed when we entered. It had a comfy, modern, clean, and beachy elegance to it (the lights and that chandelier) without it being stuffy or looking disjointed in terms of interior decor. Servers were very polite and accommodating. I let my friend order since she was the guest. She ordered the garlic shrimp noodles and scampi shrimp to share, and the Thai tea drink with the ice cream bar. I ordered 3 cocktails (Jalapeno + tamarind, Lychee, and Thai tea martini) and they were all good (not overly sweet and weak sauce, but balanced, tasty, and had the right amount of buzz). We had a light lunch since we had AYCE hot pot later that evening (Mikiya - yes I'm a good host). The garlic noodles exceeded my expectations - shrimp were huge, seasoned well, and just cooked through, the noodles were broad, float, tender, and had a slight chewiness to it. The scampi shrimp were huge, tasty, succulent, and cooked perfectly (not surprised since the shrimp with the garlic noodles were so good). NOTHING WAS OVERCOOKED OR MADE ME GO.... "MEH...." and I've been to many Thai restaurants even the highly stylized kitschy ones like Farmhouse Thai in SF. The waiters were very attentive. They made their rounds to make sure waters were filled and all guests were taken care of. It helps they were also handsome too! LOL. I generally find many places nice in the competitive LA, but not nice enough for me to travel from the SGV. However, I will go out of my way to visit KL again to try the rest of their menu (drunken noodles, pork jerky, crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc.) because they left a good impression with me. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food, cocktails, clean restrooms, ambiance was coastal modern, has its own designated parking lot, and service was lovely.

Walk inside and--on this Saturday, January 3rd--it's still decorated for Christmas, which somehow adds to the cozy, unpretentious vibe. It's around 2:30 p.m. and the place is packed, which is always a great sign. We ordered the chicken pho with ginger sauce and the brisket & rare steak pho. You get the classic sides--lime, bean sprouts, basil--and we also added the crispy egg rolls, which came out hot and crunchy with a satisfying bite. The pho arrived piping hot, deeply aromatic, and comforting in that way only a well-made broth can be. They give you chopsticks for the noodles and a large spoon for the soup--exactly how it should be. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Around $12 gets you a big, steaming bowl that feels like a full meal, not a tease. The broth is clean, rich, and balanced--not greasy, not salty--perfect for a cold, rainy Long Beach day on the Cambodia side of town. I took my time with it, savoring all the layers of flavor, especially after adding sriracha and hoisin (which is absolutely the move here). The beef was tender, the rare steak cooked perfectly in the hot broth, and the noodles held up all the way through. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There's mellow, calming music playing in the background that makes the whole lunch experience feel peaceful and grounding--no rush, no noise chaos, just people enjoying good food. Come hungry. They give you a lot of food, and it's the kind of meal that's hard to stop eating even when you're full. The staff seemed very short-handed -- only three people working on a busy day. The dad had very poor customer service and seemed checked out, which made the whole experience feel unwelcoming. There were awkward moments when he took our orders. The biggest issue was the soup itself. It didn't taste like traditional pho -- something was off with the broth -- and unfortunately none of us could finish our bowls. We didn't say anything because we could see they were struggling. I hope this family can get proper staffing, train on customer service, and improve the kitchen consistency.
