It comes with 3 larger rolls, some pickles in the sides, and a vegan fish sauce. Everything tasted really fresh from the lettuce to vermicelli noodles. The pho I got, was quite salty--I could taste that a lot of fish sauce had been used and I added more hot water to the broth to thin it out. The meat in the pho was good; however, they gave me a dried-up lime, which was a sign of how the rest of the meal would go. I also bought a pork and shrimp spring roll to save for dinner later, but it turned out they had made it with only shrimp. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fast and fresh Vietnamese noodles, rolls, and soft serve ice cream. Was very intrigued when I saw this place go up by Honeybees. This part of Long Beach is not known for Vietnamese food so it was certainly a welcome addition, but how good was the food? In my estimation, pretty darn good! Our first time we got the food to go--tofu rolls, shrimp rolls, and vegan noodle bowl. Some of the rolls had tears in the skin when we got them, but tasted fine. It's great that they offer vegan options, especially when they already have a pretty limited menu. On our second visit we ate on site. I requested a shrimp only bowl, as their regular bowl is shrimp and pork, and they were able to do it. The hubby got the vegan bowl again, and this time I decided to get the house waffle special: coconut pandan waffle with vanilla ice cream and coconut flakes, and it was yum! My favorite place for vegan spring rolls! What I love about this place is that they have vegan chicken as an option for spring rolls which I have not seen offered anywhere else. Out of all of the vegan spring rolls I've had, this place is the best even above top rated vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Orange County. I love how fresh, flavorful and crunchy it is. Definitely great for a snack or light meal. The spring rolls come with a house vinaigrette however I had asked to try the peanut sauce with it which is delicious and I think tastes better with the spring rolls. I saw that they offer ice cream as well and am hoping they will add more flavors aside from chocolate and vanilla. The only downside is the cost which is a bit steep compared to other places that offer spring rolls. The service is great and the employees are very friendly. I checked out this relatively new place today after cycling. It's conveniently located one block east of Redondo on Third. Such a cute store front and eating area. The menu and ice cream offerings harken back to old days but with healthy food. We tried their special House Spring rolls, Third and Loma Vermicelli Bowl, and homemade iced chrysanthemum iced tea. Oh so delicious and healthy! I could have ordered more but I'll be back. Folks next to us had some ice cream and said it was awesome. Next time. They also have waffles and pancakes?! Been driving by here a couple of times and decided to stop by for a late lunch with my mom while perusing the neighborhood. I ordered the pork and shrimp Loma bowl and my mom got the pho. We ordered from one window and picked up from the second window with the counter that held the condiments. There's outdoor seating with patio umbrellas. My mom is a little more critical than me when it comes to eating out. Here's her observations: 1) Seating: tables and chairs were dirty. Not because it was outdoors, but because no one wiped down or cleaned up after previous guests. 2) Pho broth was salty. Mom ended up eating a lot more of the noodles and eventually just dumped her food. I got her a Thai tea from next door to help cut the saltiness and make her feel better. 3) Mom warned me not to put too much prepared fish sauce in my food because it's typically salty. I poured the entire cup over my noodles and salad because it wasn't. I appreciate a nice sweet and balanced nuoc mam. No complaints here. I felt my dish was great. I enjoyed the fried pork slices and the fresh salad. I would have to agree with moms on her pho broth though. She had me taste it after I was trying to justify there being people who just like salty food. Yeah, the saltiness was no bueno, especially on a hot day. Though there are better options further south in Orange County.. these might be the best summer rolls found in Long Beach! Really enjoyed them but they weren't perfect- the rolls had tears in the rice paper unfortunately and because of the overall ratio with veggies to meat, I did find that the pickled veggies were a little overpowering. She closed the sliding window to check with her coworker and came back to tell me they will grill up 3 shrimps per order. Ok, thanks. Literally took 1 minute and the shrimps were overcooked and bland. The fish sauce was good. I mean, it's fish sauce. The shaved steak, I couldn't tell you since it disappeared after I mixed my bun. House Special egg rolls were good but not the peanut sauce. Sweet and something off. We used the fish sauce from the bun for dipping sauce. Let's talk about our $5 ice cream. Came to this place for a Yelp Elite visit. I saw that they did spring rolls here, which are one of my favorite Vietnamese snacks, so I had to come! The storefront looks really new and modern and they even had cornhole to play. It's located on the corner in a neighborhood, so there's only street parking available. I got here around 11am and it was relatively empty. I order the house special spring roll and the shrimp and pork spring roll. It took about 15 minutes until the food was ready. The house spring roll has a grilled pork with a egg roll wrapper. This is very similar to the grilled pork roll that they have at Brodards. The flavor of the pork was good and the dipping sauce decent, but I would still have to say Brodards is better. The roll has too much veggies in my opinion so I felt like it wasn't well balanced. It was more like eating a salad than a spring roll. The shrimp and pork spring roll was decent as well, I really enjoyed the dipping sauce for the shrimp and pork spring roll. Overall, I think this spot is pretty good for spring rolls. If you're nearby in the area, you should definitely check them out! read more

I live about 5mins away and it has been a great new addition to the neighborhood. When I heard they started pho, I immediately went after a long road trip and it was the best welcome home comfort food. My favorite is their house special rolls. I absolutely love the sauce & the crunch in the roll. It makes it so unique. I also feel their spring rolls are pretty big and it can be eaten for a meal (rather most restaurants would be an appetizer). I am often pretty full but when I can, I go for the soft serve and have fun with the toppings and chocolate dip! The service is great. The owners are often there and so welcoming & kind. I know my veggie friends like their veggie options and it's a great hit. I often grab these on the way to an event as it's filling but won't get me into a food coma & pretty easy to eat in the car. If you wanna dip, a quick stop is probably recommended but such an easy eat and will be devoured in minutes. Tried the Shrimp Spring Rolls (no pork). They were freshly-made, stuffed with green leaf lettuce, mint, vermicelli noodles, and shrimp--amazing! Delicious peanut sauce too. The artificial turf is comfortable and clean, new and springy. When you're a new restaurant, and you skimp this hard on quality, you simply will not last. I will never be back.
