Came here on a Saturday night, with a small group of bachelorette girls (5) of us. We were available earlier, so the restaurant was available to provide us our table ahead of time. Food - lobster ceviche & patatas bravas - Lobster ceviche: slices of lobster marinated in a citrus marinade. Refreshing, flavourful. Refreshing and light. Paired with a bowl of light shrimp cracker chips. The portions were a little small, but that's also another reason I decided to add on potato bravas. The potato bravas were a great compliment, crunchy potatoes drizzled with a garlic aioli sauce. Would recommend as an add-on to a meal if you're looking for a little flavourful, yet generous sharing portion side. Drinks: - midsummer manhattan - spirit forward, whiskey based drink. Sipping drink, packed with quite the punch. Lasted me the entire nights drinking convo! Ambience - For a small group of 5 we were sat in the second patio area with an intimate small table. Seems to be that we were placed towards the quiet side which we enjoyed. the place was quite busy, but with a mix of loud inside and quiet outside, it gives the place a social feel towards the bar. This place is beyond a great time!! The atmosphere and people will have you staying all night. Beto (Alberto) the bartender makes the best drinks, gets to know you and can make you something you never knew you wanted but will have you asking for more. Josh and Beto were so much fun, I highly recommend sitting at the bar when you go, missing out on these guys' personality and drink artistry would be a shame. We enjoyed our time there, had so much we forgot to take pictures, but you can't go wrong with any of their amazing drinks and the food is fabulous, the corn agnolotti with have you eating every last bite of crab. read more

We were staying in the hotel, so I figured we should check this place out. The view is pretty good, but they only open at night. I wish they served breakfast and brunch too. The service was pretty good. Every minute they would come and check drinks. I think it is a bit too much I don't like this much attention. The food was delicious. I have nothing to complain. I'm a bit torn to be giving this place 3 stars because it has so much potential, but at the end of the day, the food left much to be desired. My best summary of this place is that I think it's worth checking out purely for drinks as they have a cool bar section, but the food is skippable. Venue/location: If you're looking for great vibes and views, this place could fit the bill for the area if you're coming only for drinks or ok with average food. It's on the rooftop of the Roven hotel and plenty of free parking in the lot behind the hotel so no need to valet if you don't want to. Service: I'm surprised at a lot of the negative reviews on service. Maybe they improved but I experienced none of the issues that others have been saying here. My low rating does not reflect the on point service from everyone here, although we went early and when the restaurant wasn't busy so it could've made a difference. Food: The biggest factor for the 3 here. It's not terrible, but I expected better especially for a more upscale place. Before getting to the food, I had a non-alcoholic Strawberry Fields drink and it was super refreshing and perfect sweetness level for a hot summer evening. It was well presented even for a NA drink, so I think the actual cocktails are worth a try at some point. My biggest rant is saltiness and how overly flavored the sauces are with all the dishes. Or maybe I'm just too healthy??? Both my boyfriend and I wiped out the water after finishing our sea bass and the Mary's Organic Chicken dish. It's a little better when you get pieces without the sauce, but the sauces were a no-go for both. Also even our beef tartare felt like the seasoning overpowered the beef itself, with heavier horseradish and yolk taste than what I would've preferred. So net net, the 3.5 is accurate for this place but ok to take risk if you're here for just the mood and drinks. read more

Had a great experience. We were hotel guests from Las Vegas, we came for my birthday weekend getaway. We were welcomed with complimentary glasses of birthday Rosè which was much appreciated. We tried few different items but the one item worth talking about was the lobster ceviche. It was so delish. I wish it was a bigger portion. We ate that up! our server Tom was super helpful, attentive and a fellow resident of Las Vegas. He really made our dinner enjoyable. I also got a complimentary birthday dessert came with a candle. Me and my husband had a dinner date for our post-anniversary but also decided to have dinner first before heading to Indio. I did enjoy the appetizer-grilled Spanish octopus, salad-heirloom beets, and the main entrèe- Icelandic Salmon as well as the free spirit drink that is a mix of coconut, pineapple, and pear flavors. My husband had Mary's Organic chicken. He mentioned that the outside is crispy and salty while the inside is bland but combining them adds richness to the food and he liked it. For mine, I liked how the Salmon was soft and did not taste as fishy at all. The staff were all accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I truly had a great time here! Is this trend of poor ratings a ruse? Not sure what the other diners are complaining about but there's nothing wrong with this spot. I wrestled with coming here all day because of the crazy reviews but I'm glad I fought the urge to believe the crowd. Maybe it's an elaborate scheme to keep people away via poor reviews, but my experience tonight was memorable and one for the books. I regularly seek out OUTSTANDING experiences and this was no less. At the bar, tenders Frankie and Dan were very busy with other diners but equally attentive and with EXCELLENT recommendations and finely made drinks that were the HIGHLIGHT of the evening. I saw maybe a lead server who was excellent with communicating an 86'd dish for the night and was secretly glad I'd already put in my order...the service and team ethic seemed strong. For food, I had the scallop crudo and lobster rolls to start and they where amazing. Freshly sliced scallop with a memorable herb/oil accompaniment and the lobster rolls with mini buttered and sliced bread rolls in the traditional fashion. Even better with a few dashes of Tabasco supplied by the bartender;) The pepita-garnished sorghum squash was tasty and the duck breast also very good. I always give credit to places that avoid the temptation to over-sweeten a nice cut of duck. Here the veg and sauce was more of a balanced acidity which I enjoyed very much. I'm partial to duck more well-cooked through but the portion was more than enough for me to enjoy, even if maybe a more rare-cooked duck breast could be considered my sole culinary regret. I had to fight the urge to order more food, but the portions were really quite generous and so I reeled back my greedy temptations for additional pasta. I only wish I had a reservation to stay at the Kimpton so I didn't have far to drive "home." Definitely my next stay for Palm Springs in the future. Came here during restaurant week in PS. The set menu is surprisingly well worth the money. I believe it's $59 for a 3 course dinner. Avocado Strawberry salad was refreshing and so was the watermelon gazpacho. My seafood bouillabaisse was excellent. Every component of the seafood from scallop to shrimp was cooked well. The seafood flavor was definitely a chef kiss kinda delicious. Husband's chicken was tender with crispy skin. Yum!! We both got the ice cream for dessert and the chocolate fondant cake was complimentary since it was my birthday. They also offered complimentary Prosecco since we were staying at the hotel. Actually stumbled upon this spot but so happy I did. This place is a VIBE as soon as you walk in. The music, decor and view were everything. The staff was friendly, professional and personable. The drinks were absolutely delicious. The only con for me was that I wished they offered more food options at the bar. As a party of one, I really would have liked to eat there, but I really didn't have a lot to choose from. All in all, I highly recommend and I'll definitely be back. read more

Nobody checked from the chef to our server? We finally flagged down our server who said they would re-do ASAP. The manager, Luis, stopped by and said he would expedite. 21 minutes later, our server apologized for the delay of the 2nd try. My husband declined and we asked for the check. Luis never came back, there was no attempt to invite us back, poorly handled. Cross this very expensive (overpriced) restaurant off our go-to list! The venue itself is very nice. Good views and the inside quite nice. However, for being a Michelin star restaurant, our experience was not great. The service was fine, but the food and presentation were mediocre. For example, the start of the meal was standard bread buns with olive oil... nothing special about it. The drinks were good, but a bit short of "craft" experience. And the entrees were good, but there was no component that elevated the experience beyond a "nice" meal. In short, there are steps that the restaurant can take to make the experience worthy of a Michelin star rating. read more

Not that picky with wine - however they ( rooftop bar patio ) served us glasses of sauvingnon blanc that were obviously "old"... and had been opened a long while. It was undrinkable. They didn't know how long they were open and they didn't have more of it. Replaced them with a more expensive wine and charged us the higher cost. Nice views. read more

The restaurant is beautiful and the service is excellent, but this is definitely a pricier restaurant meant for special celebrations and dedicated to being a fancy place in terms of pricing and decor. The food was generally good, but about 1.5x as expensive as I thought it should have been, and the dishes were well cooked but generally quite rich and salty. My brother got married at the Rowan, so after the ceremony we had dinner at 4 Saints. Is the food good? Yes. Is it expensive? Yes. Does the wait staff treat guest like family like at cheesy chain establishment? No. They sort-of looked incredibly miserable. I get it, it's really dark and depressing inside. Bring a flashlight. From a nice restaurant you often expect a bread basket to start off with, 4 Saints did not have that. So to make due, I ordered the lobster roll for an appetizer since I was starving! I told my dad we'd split it since it came with 2. I was surprised to find out each "lobster roll" was the size of my pinky... which I aptly swallowed in two bites. Tasted really fishy, but the aioli like spread they used was good. The pasta I ordered was pretty good! The dough for the noodles tasted amazing, real quality. The sauce was heavy and rich, so all my acid refluxers beware! It was one of the cheapest things on the menu at approx $25. My dad ordered a very expensive steak, and it was just that, a steak. When he asked the waiter if he could have some bread with it, the waiter looked at him as if he were some uncultured swine who didn't speak 5 different languages and said "we don't have bread." Interesting, so what did you use for the lobster rolls or the burger on your menu? So my dad ended up ordering a side of fries instead. The way I've been described with it was going to be potatoes layered with mushrooms layered with greens and cheese layer which I could probably eat around Nope it was like an over priced side of some kind of scalloped potato and Not a good one Our friend had a steak which looked terrible and according to our friend and my husband who had a bite - it was terrible. We were looking for another bar and decided to check this out because of its rooftop bar. This is located in the Rowan/Kempton Hotel. Very dark interior but bear views facing the mountains. The restrooms are outside next to the rooftop pool. My favorite drink was the date/old fashioned. A bit of sweet and bourbon was the right combination. We went to 4 Saints for our 15th wedding anniversary last evening. We arrived and were impressed with the beautiful decor and location (Rooftop of the Rowan Hotel). We had an early reservation and looked like the first people to be seated which was not a problem for us. After we sat, several other couples and families arrived. The servers immediately brought us over water and a complimentary glass of Prosecco or champagne (for our Anniversary) which was a lovely surprise and was also very good. The server came over and introduced herself. She also asked us if we had any questions about the menu, which we did. She was lovely and very helpful. Joe order a drink, Chambord's on the rocks and I asked for an ice tea. When she came back with the drinks I noticed the color was not right and asked her if the drink was Chambords and she said no it was another drink with a similar name. We all has a good laugh and ended up, they do not carry Chambords in there bar, so Joe ended up with a Pepsi. When we ordered our food, we both decided to have the 16oz NY Strip Steak (cooked Medium) . Joe wanted his plain with no sauce or spices and I ordered it as it was noted in the menu. Joe didn't want an appetizer but I ordered a Heirloom Beet Salad. As an appetizer. The salad came and it looked good, to be honest the beets were cut into tiny cubes and did not look like the focus of the salad. Overall, it was tasty and I ate the whole thing. I just wished beets were the main ingredient in the salad. When they served the steaks ( $90 each) they looked beautiful. We took photos and we were excited to enjoy these steaks. Joe cut his in the middle and I cut mine at the end and unfortunately they were both rare (almost raw) in the middle. Unfortunately we had to send them back for additional cooking. They left us the fries and we snacked on them until our steaks returned. When the steaks were brought back, they looked good and we started to eat them. They were salty but were good and much better cooked. Were they the best steaks I every had, definitely not!! You would think for the price we paid, the steaks would have been delicious and memorable. Unfortunately they weren't. They also brought us out new fries to go with our steaks. After dinner, we were thinking about dessert. While we were both full, I figured we look at the menu and make a decision at that time. The waitress brought the dessert menu, and there were four items on it and we were not interested. We asked for the check and promptly paid the bill. The waitress was lovely and wish us a Happy Anniversary before we left ( very sweet). Overall, 4 Saints was good, not great but the service was very good. The food was adequate and not great. The prices were high but it was a special occasion and we knew about it and didn't mind. They also treated us so nice for our special day. Will we be back.....I don't think so. read more

I wish I took a picture of it because looking at it was kind of embarrassing. We ordered a basil watermelon dish for $18, and we got 3 tiny balls of watermelon. The size of Penny. Imagine a big white plate with 3 tiny balls of watermelon in it. That's it. Either add more watermelons or take it off the menu. We also noticed the roof top had no music. The hostess gave me a blanket because it was chilly and all of the staff were amazing from there. They were all working collaboratively together to be beyond attentive to my husband and I. We had the old fashioned, the octopus, the ravioli and a deconstructed crème brûlée...all delicious. That said, the customer service outshined everything else. There were 7 of us and overall, it was pricey, but decent food and drink. I started with an espresso martini which was very good. The food was small plates and a la carte. Our server, To. Did a great job of pointing out his favorite dishes so I started with the Watermelon salad, which was very good, and then went with the Chilean Sea Bass. The sea bass was beautifully cooked, but not crazy about the tomato based sauce it was topped with. While both were delicious, I personally didn't think they complimented each other that well so the symphony in my mouth was a little lacking, which was a shame because again, the sea bass again was wonderful on its own. I also tasted the side, potato's grata which was delicious, the beet gnocchi was inedible for our dining friend and spews sent back. The desserts we just had ice cream which was perfectly fine. The atmosphere itself was obviously touristy, young and full of beautiful people being that it was on top of the Rowan Hotel. Nice place to frequent for an occasional visit, but it's not going to a part of our regular rotation. At least not yet. read more
