I enjoyed my brunch there & my waitress Jess was great! She was very talkative & very accommodating to us. It was a very simple breakfast but good (eggs, bacon,sausage,potatoes,grits, biscuits). I would come back just bc she was great. read more

I can't say enough about the lemon blueberry pancakes! Cooked perfectly, super doughy, and the lemon drizzle was just the right amount of sweet without seeming too sugary. Our server was kind and apologetic when she didn't need to be at all! Food arrived quickly and disappeared just as fast. The diner was a bit small but still had just as much space as you could need to have a very well run restaurant. Loved it! read more

Stopped by for a quick Sunday brunch and sat at the bar. Bartender Mike was pleasant and accommodating with great recommendations. The spot had a good ambiance with exposed brick/industrial vibe. Chicken and waffles were very good. I would go back when back in town. read more

Haven't even tried our food yet, review reflects relatively quick to be seated, came at the height of lunch hour, put in our name, and texted and seated within about 15 minutes (1/2 the time they had told us). The host and Mike our waiter were both friendly and funny and efficient. Food was good. Fond of the decor, especially the old wooden bar. Be aware, not a lot of veggie options. read more

The food here was really good. It seemed like a family run place from the decor and atmosphere. There wasn't a wait for brunch on Saturday and we even had a group of 8. Our service was prompt and the waitress was super nice. I ordered the strawberries and cream silver dollar pancakes. It was just the right amount. I wouldn't have been able to finish the regular sized pancakes. There were a ton of strawberries on top and it came with a side of strawberry jam/syrup with whipped cream. They were delicious. Second time here and the food quality has gone down. Location - Great location near the main attractions and was walking distance to hotel. Service - Very nice staff and the service was good. Food - Not as tasty or as fresh to be hyped up anymore. The first time I came it was great from what I recall, but now it's nothing wrth checking out again. Prices - About the norm if anything maybe a lil higher than normal. Venue - They keep it well kept up and looks identical to 3 yrs ago since I was last here. Overall will not be coming back and find myself a new spot to try out. read more

Upstairs is a bit dark but other than that, great breakfast spot. Be prepared to wait in a bit of a line on the weekends (we visited on Taylor swift/grad weekend and it was only 30 min wait). Biscuits with the jam are fabulous read more

The place was nice and had a retro vibe. Reminds me of the old tv show Cheers. Brown wood/ dark. If you have a problem with steps be aware that there are plenty especially if they try to put you on second level. Food came out fast and was tasty! I would recommend. But it's a little expensive for just breakfast. This meal was $30.80. I added a OJ. So adding a tip just makes it more expensive. Also if you are driving to this place - parking is hard to find. Food was good but just a bit pricey to me. The server Mike was very nice! It rates a 3 in my book due to expensive/ lack of parking/ not handicapped friendly. read more

My teenage son considers himself a connoisseur of chicken and waffles and says these were the best he's ever had. He loved them so much that we had to go back again 2 days later so he could have them again. The rest of us had a variety of items including the biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, steak and eggs, and their homemade mixed berry jam. All were delish! The only thing might've been better than the food was the service. We were seated right away on both visits and both servers we had were super pleasant. A must visit when in Nashville. Located next to my hotel, I stopped in for breakfast on a Monday morning. The place was busy and had mainly locals which is usually a good sign in my book. My waitress was cheery and provided a few recommendations in response to my question. She said they were known for their prime rib hash and I decided to go with her recommendation. I was not disappointed. The hash was delicious and enough to tide me over until dinner. The hash was tender, succulent and flavorful and topped with three fried eggs. So grateful we came across such a neat place! The decor was on point, had so much personality and great history displayed to make such a unique ambiance. Came for breakfast and our meals were soo good and full of flavor. One of the best omelettes I've ever had. The waitress was so attentive and sweet. We came out happy, grateful, with bellies full. Was good breakfast place. Service was prompt and coffee was good and hot. The tables are pretty small which made it a little tough to fit all the plates and any bags /coats you have. Food was good though and would go back. Their homemade jam they serve dishes with was really good read more

I hesitated to write this review based on the Other reviews. Because if bland was a place it would be this. I put it on my bucket list for my trip to Nashville. We stayed directly across the street at the Hilton. We walked over for breakfast on Friday. The atmosphere was nice, it gives you an old-school diner feel. But the food, the food was very regular. I got the chicken and waffles, nothing special to it. My husband got the breakfast quesadilla, he couldn't even finish it, it didn't really have taste. The Service? Well Let's just say I felt very out of place. And I'll leave it at that. I'm glad to take it off of my bucket list! But, I love the location! read more

There were only three other customers. I got the eggs, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy with coffee. Coffee was good. The rest of the meal, eh. It was ok. Bland. Disappointing for Southern fare. Look at my picture. The pancakes are small, they don't even fill the plate. It's not worth going out of your way to eat here. It's definitely not worth the hype or a long wait. The breakfast at Cracker Barrel is better and you get more for you money. If you're ever in Kansas City stop in at the Big Biscuit. That's how breakfast is supposed to be.

The dining room felt like an extended family breakfast. The staff was amazingly attentive and were great stewards of their crash. Even down to those who were tidying up the tables, allowing for the next guest to sit down. There's a high level of detail even down to someone forgetting a thermos an hour after they had left the restaurant. My only complaint is that there's not one in South Carolina however, I'll get over it and that just simply means I need to come visit Nashville more often.

This was a random selection my two travel companions and I made. It was close to the Sheraton where we were staying and we wouldn't have to walk that far and dodge swarms of cicadas. What a fortunate coincidence!! We were only in Nashville for four days and we ate here twice during our stay. Both visits were wonderful. The waitstaff were absolutely the nicest people -- our favorite was Danny -- and the food could not be beat. We also adored their flower pens and they were so kind as to give my friend one as a souvenir! During my first visit I had the fried tilapia sandwich. For the most part I am pescetarian (no land meat) and wasn't expecting much from a southern fish sandwich. At one point I was literally moaning the sandwich was so good. Also, had the fried pickles, which were a salty snack popper. Highly recommend! The second visit I decided to just go for it and ordered the fried chicken. I could not visit the south without trying authentic Southern Fried Chicken. I was NOT disappointed. It was beyond delicious. I could not recommend this restaurant enough. My wife and I went here visiting town on a Tuesday morning. It was weird - we were the only people in there. Anyway, the atmosphere was VERY cool. A lot of World War II memorabilia on the walls. I'm a WWII geek, so it appealed to me as soon as we walked in. The music was 40s-era swing and jazz - also very cool. However, the food is the main point. They have a pretty standard breakfast menu from what I could tell. I ordered an omelet, but the server neglected to write my order down and when he brought it out, it was wrong. I ate most of it, but wasn't real thrilled about it. My wife's omelet was good. The house red potatoes are pretty good and the toast was good. Breakfast isn't tough to mess up, but our server didn't put the order in correctly. When we go to Nashville next, we might go there, but it probably won't be tops on the list. I don't think we would rule it out, though. read more

I recently enjoyed a fantastic brunch at 417 Union and had a delightful experience. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and the service was top-notch throughout our visit. I started with a refreshing peach bellini, followed by the prime rib hash and lemon blueberry pancake--each dish was delicious and well-prepared. The restaurant has a charming old-school vibe that made us feel right at home. Although we initially parked about two blocks away, we noticed a convenient paid parking lot on the side of the building, which is a great option for future visits. Well I'm back at my favorite place. Again, the Prime Rib Hash and Bacon Bloody Mary. Just to mention the southern hospitality is above and beyond service. Everybody is treated the same and it's good to see that. I've been to other restaurants and misjudged or treated poorly until I whip out the no limit credit card then the story changes. Neat decor too, I won't ruin the surprise (if you like staring at unique stuff). It was super busy but we got a table for 5 right away. I had the ribeye hash and my husband had the fried chicken plate and we shared a short stack. Everything was crazy good! Best Breakfast in Nashville! My favorites are the lemon blueberry pancakes and the prime rib hash with the Bacon Bloody Mary. There is some street parking or the library parking garage or the metro court house garage are nearby options. read more
