What was left of the espresso martini and irodoni steak. Heaven on earth

Its been a while since ive visited. It will definitely not take me this long to come back. Just a perfect experience tonight Was driving through town on way back from my daughters swim meet and popped in with a steak craving. I knew what i wanted before i walked in the door. Their dry aged ribeye is something worth telling other people about (and i have) But BUT Tonight they had a featured waygu steak. Usually i dont splurge for waygu as the portion size is typical small. Not the case here. Our server, justin, was incredible. He said "i know you have your mind set on the ribeye but you have to try this steak" Apparently its a cross breed of waygu and angus (i had to google it as i write this because i couldnt remember the details). We ended up getting the irodori (yes had to google the spelling too) steak to share, but i was dead set on my ribeye After tasting the iridori, i wish i had ordered one for just myself, it was that good. Im usually not one to take a picture of my food but i snapped one to keep in my camera roll as a reminder to try it again. Even if that means a followup visit to 9 prime. Overall notes Espresso martinis were solid Wine list was very fairly priced with a few splurge bottles if you feel inclinded. Scott, the manager, was welcoming and charming. ...albeit i may be biased because of his name. We had a great conversation and recommend sayiny hi if you go in Justin our server was knowledgeable, especially for someone as young as he is. He mentioned he is in college but treated us in a manor that a tenured server would. We would request him in the future for sure. He had a good sense of humor too. He mentioed that he loves the food and from the one size too small vest he was wearing, it was evident! i left him a good tip to get a new vest. He was kind enough to bring the chef out to say hello and for us to ask about and compliment the waygu steak. The chef, jacob, was awesome. Knowledgeable but humble. Engaging and patient with all my questions. Would happily buy the man a drink if i see him around town. Only con of the night is, as anywhere in west chester, was parking. The snow made it worse as street parking doesnt really allow for the passenger to get out. Need to get the bourough to clean the streets better Kudos to the chef and team. You'll see us again.

An elevated dining experience at 9 Prime--West Chester's hidden gem! From the moment we stepped in, we were blown away by the stunning interior--modern, elegant, and full of character. The iconic bank vault we were seated next to added such a cool, historic vibe to the night. With a reservation, we were greeted and seated in under 5 minutes! The service was top-notch. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and attentive. If someone didn't have an answer, they made sure to follow up quickly. You could tell they cared about the experience they were creating. As first-time guests, they gave us space to explore the menu while still keeping things moving. The atmosphere was vibrant but not overly loud--just perfect for enjoying great food and conversation. We started with the Italian chopped salad with a grilled chicken breast substitution--they nailed it perfectly. My husband ordered the smoked burrata, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented. For entrees, I had the 8 oz filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and it was perfectly done--tender, juicy, and flavorful. I paired it with broccolini (requested with no oils), and they got it just right. My husband went with the lobster & black truffle carbonara, which was rich, decadent, and absolutely worth the splurge. We paired everything with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from Twenty Acres--a fantastic choice with great depth and smooth finish. This place checks all the boxes: ambiance, service, presentation, and flavor. Highly recommend for a special night out or a luxe dinner with loved ones. We'll definitely be back!

I want to start by saying our waiter was very pleasant, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere! The restaurant was also very clean, which added to the overall experience. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and it made for a lovely evening. I can't recall all the details of what we ordered, but I had a steak and my husband ordered the duck. The food was very good and we enjoyed our meal--it just didn't quite reach that "amazing" level for us. I'd consider coming back for another special occasion, but I'd probably explore a few other places first before returning.

The beautiful piano adorned with paper lanterns and flowers.

I hosted a rehearsal dinner for 55 guests. Chris was there to greet me, and understood my vision for the space. He took over decorating, and I returned to the most magical venue! The staff were all so accommodating and helpful. Then...the food!! So incredible! Everyone ate and drank as much as they could and had the very best time! Would 10/10 recommend 9Prime for ANY celebration! Enjoy!

Happy hour food: Cheesesteak Egg rolls, Calamari, Calabria Flatbread.

Surprised to see so many negative reviews. 9 Prime is a great restaurant with a wrap-around bar and a great happy hour. I have eaten here for both dinner and happy hour. The service is always great and staff friendly. The calamari is great and the cheesesteak egg rolls. Also, the steak skewer is good but small. The flatbread was just ok, it's more of a pizza than a flatbread bc it is not flat. There is a members only speak easy in the basement. This is a great option for a fancy dinner in west chester (steaks are great) or a nice happy hour. Definitely recommend.

This spot has so much potential but they definitely have a ton of kinks to work out. The host was nice and friendly but clearly lacked experience/professionalism. I wouldn't blame her though, she looked very young. Similar story with our server, it almost seemed like he was acting like what he thought a server at an upscale steakhouse should act like. The smoked burrata was NOT good. The smoke did not pair well with the cheese at all. My filet mingo was good but not super special, the scallops were great though. We got mashed potatoes and lobster Mac as well. Again, good but not exceptional. There were some really pretty parts of the building but we ended up stuck in the back. I would try it again but I'm going to give them some time to hit their stride.

The food is consistently solid and portions are not cheap. Bar program is a cut above the rest; first rate! Bar staff is professional and knowledgeable. Cool luxe vibe.

We went for their Easter brunch buffet and had a really nice time. They had a lot of stations, including a carving, omelet and create your own pasta. They had a variety of items and for the price it was really enjoyable. The service was attentive and kind. The chef even stopped by our table and introduced himself. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was also really nice. It's an old bank transformed, so it was really beautiful and bigger than expected. They had live music playing, which was really nice. I would definitely like to go back for dinner/ normal menu.

Nestled in the heart of West Chester, PA, 9 Prime stands out as a beacon of culinary excellence and refined taste. From the moment you step through its inviting doors, you are greeted with an ambiance that exudes warmth and sophistication. The most significant surprise was the number of young people in charge of the dining room. They provided a level of service and attention to detail you'd expect from 30-year veteran staff. The true star of 9 Prime is undoubtedly its food. Each dish is a testament to the chef's creativity and mastery of flavors. The freshness and lightness of the Caesar salad, the wedge salad, and pork belly started our meals. The dressing was perfectly balanced with the size of the dish. We enjoyed the Kansas City Strip steaks, with sides of bordelaise and brandy au poivre, and fresh Sea Bass, all recommendations from our server who knew the menu and wasn't afraid to share her menu insight. My wife commented that this Sea Bass was the best seafood she ever tasted. The Cabernet paired with the steak, another recommendation from our server, brought utter perfection to the main course. The lobster mac and cheese was loaded with fresh lobster and the truffle fries were so light and crispy, like no truffle fry I've ever seen anywhere. We finished our meal with peanut butter mousse. It was so light with perfectly balanced sweetness. All ingredients were impeccably fresh, and the presentation was nothing short of artful. The ambiance at 9 Prime is both elegant and comfortable, striking the perfect balance between upscale dining and a relaxed atmosphere. The soft lighting, live jazz music, at least on this Saturday night, and artful decor create an environment that is perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. It's a place where you can unwind and savor your meal, whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out. Ask for a table on the 2nd floor overlooking the main foyer. A coat service is needed for a restaurant with this level of service and food. Service at 9 Prime is nothing short of exemplary. A special shout out to Kendel, a marketing major at West Chester University. She brought expertise, attention, and fun to our dining experience. The staff overall is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. From the moment you are seated, you are treated with the utmost care and professionalism. The servers are adept at recommending dishes and wine pairings, and their attention to detail is evident in every interaction. 9 Prime in West Chester, PA, offers a dining experience that is second to none. It beats the likes of The Capital Grille and Del Frisco's. With its exceptional food, charming ambiance, beautiful decor, and outstanding service, it is a restaurant that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to 9 Prime is an absolute must for any culinary enthusiast.

We came here for Christmas Eve dinner and I want to start by saying every staff member was so incredibly friendly and that made the experience so much nicer. The restaurant itself is stunning, and we were lucky enough to have been sat in a private room, which was perfect for our group because some of the folks have a harder time hearing. I thought the food was very good, but extremely expensive (which comes with the territory in a place like this) while I am sure it is worth it for some of the meats and things, I think it may have been much for the sides and salads... I was pretty disappointed that there were really no great vegetarian options (I believe there were a few items when they first opened but no entrees or anything right now) I had to have a salad, which was good but I would have preferred something heartier. I understand it is a steakhouse but having a veggie forward option or two is not that difficult and lots of other high end places offer vegetarian dishes. Honestly this means I likely won't go back here for food, since there isn't much for me. I will however go back for drinks! The cocktails were delicious and very well made. I like that they had holiday cocktails and a good variety of options. I had the Charlie 75, Christmas Cosmo, and The Bowen. All were fabulous. I also enjoyed the desert, I had the ginger snap crème brûlée and it was phenomenal. Overall the experience was lovely, the drinks were good, but I was really disappointed in my lack of food choices.

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.

I'm always needing tons of water when I am eating so it's nice to have refills on the ready ! The free bruschetta was a pleasant surprise and the tomato's were fresh and delicious. I don't really like tomato's so when I like them you know they're dang good. We ordered the spicy rigatoni with a cutlet per Jenna's recommendation. And they had a nice breaded crunch. Literally the best cutlets I've ever had The pasta itself was very good too. Big fat homemade rigatonis. Sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful. We happened to have an entire area of the restaurant to ourselves and our waiter was attentive, gave great recommendations and was friendly. I had a piña colada sangria and a glass of sweet riesling, both of which were excellent. My boyfriend had two old fashions which he also really enjoyed. Once again, we were blown away by the appetizers. The crab dip is probably one of the best things you can get here. The grilled Caesar had excellent flavor and the shrimp were a good size. They were offering a special Wagyu steak that evening, which I decided to get and my boyfriend had the 12 ounce New York strip. This was my first time having Wagyu and it was cooked perfectly, medium rare to my liking and just melted in my mouth. We also ordered sides of plump crab meat so that we could top our steak with it, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and shredded brussels sprouts with bruschetta. While the mac & cheese and shredded Brussels left more to be desired, it didn't lessen our dining experience in the least. We ended dinner by sharing a delicious crème brûlée served with a biscotti (not picture because we ate it too fast!) If it hadn't been for the manager Michael teaching out to let me know he heard my feedback and offering a gift certificate to dine with them again, we probably wouldn't have come back, given this is about a 45 minute drive from the city. But I can honestly say that this experience completely changed our view of the restaurant and we will definitely be returning for future celebrations.
