Great new spot with a well crafted menu. All the ingredients pared well with eachother . The bread of the banh mi was crunchy and buttery. The pork and lemongrass beef were also really flavorful. They also set up a condiment bar so you can dress your bowls however you'd like them with a variety of sauces and toppings. Food is pretty good, lighter versions of what you would expect at a real phö or Vietnamese restaurant. For example, you can tell their chicken broth isn't one that is simmering all day in bones, but more of a chicken soup broth. Service is really slow though, and seems like they are trying to figure things out (like maybe first time restaurant owners?), but everyone seemed really nice, just a bit overwhelmed when they got busy. We did order some to-go bowls as well (after dining in) and both orders they got wrong (didn't find out until we got home), probably explains some of the confusion you can hear in the kitchen, but on the bright side, what they did give us was also good. Overall, would definitely go back and try other options, hopefully they get their service ironed out, but a good option for this end of town. read more

We gave this place a shot tonight since we all love pho. Unfortunately the broth was very bland and had almost no flavor. The noodles were overcooked and on the mushy side. I'm not sure if they forgot to add the bean sprouts and Thai basil, but I didn't detect any in my soup and they didn't give it to me on the side so I'm not sure what's going on there. We did go and ask them for a side of bean sprouts and basil and they gave it to us so that was nice. The portions are very small for how much you're paying. I'm used to a giant bowl of noodles with a deep rich broth and lots of thinly sliced meat. Hopefully olace is just working out the kinks when you open a new restaurant. read more

Everything is just okay. I have no complain. It just this place is not what we were expecting. We were expecting a traditional Asian restaurant instead this is an American version and a fast food style. This place is not for anyone who is looking for an authentic taste and even some of the ingredients are different from what we used to in authentic Asian restaurant. They don't have beef broth in their menu. The plastic bowl and the plastic spoon and fork was also unappealing for us. Service is good. The set up needs to improve. A Noodle Story was popping on this fine Sunday afternoon! It was our first time coming here, and although it was busy, the service was excellent. Everyone was so nice. We all ordered the customize your soup bowls, which were delicious. The meats were cooked nicely, the broth was delicious, and the veggies were fresh. The portions were just right; not too much and not too little. Next time we plan to try the entrees and banh mi, which I'm sure will be just as delicious!
