It's been many years since I've been here and I found myself craving an Asian buffet for lunch. This one is like many others, pretty typical pan-asian fare with a smattering of things that seem out of place, like beef tacos. Nobody eats those. It was about $20 with a drink, which is pretty reasonable. No items really stood out as great, but there were definitely items to skip, like the beef ribs with minimal meat and no flavor, and the soups that somehow needed salt. I'll be back when I'm in the mood, but definitely won't rush to do so.

This was one of those last-minute decisions, and where to eat. And it actually turned out to be a pretty good decision as the food selection and variety. Here was very bountiful. There was a little bit of everything from Mongolian noodle style, to Sushi, to suites And savory. There are multiple rooms for dining a very populated restaurant. Per person if I recall it was around $25 $28 per adult and kids are around half of that price. And we went on a Sunday afternoon made about four visits up to the Buffay, so we definitely insured to get the moneys worth. I know it's nice to see Buffay locations open post Covid so we like to enjoy one every now and again.

All you can eat (AYCE) buffet with a variety of foods. They have more seafood options on Saturdays and charge the dinner price of $26.99 which includes a drink, fountain sodas or tea. The lunch special is M-F for $19.99. They have a small sushi section, a chef who takes teppanyaki order, a variety of seafood and Asian dishes, plenty of desserts and appetizers, and basically plenty to choose from. Crab legs are very popular and the tray empties quickly but they are constantly restocking. We had fresh food throughput our time during weekend lunch hour. We started out taking small portions of things we like and went for seconds on good old favorites. Nice decor and a large dining room with attentive staff to fill up drinks or take way plates. A great way to Ty a variety of foods. Will definitely come back with the family.

    Frozen salmon sashimi

Salmon sashimi. First I saw the Salmon sashimi in a pale and I pick some and it looks slimy so I smell it and it didn't smell fishy so I ate some, I came and ask for more hoping the cut some fresh one but the cook pull out from the freezer and place these frozen cut salmon pieces on to the same display dish.. yuck I almost threw up, I came home and was doing the runs .. beside the salmon all the dishes are cold , was not enjoyable. I give this place many chances but today is my last time coming here. It was dinner time when I was here. If you want a better experience going to lin's fusion.

When I left around 1:55pm, the line was out into the parking lot. $30 adult, $2 fountain drink, $36.45 with tax. I was greeted and sat at my table and my drink was brought out quickly. The tables, silverware, and plates were clean. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance. Next time I'll bring gloves though. It's busy, but not too disorganized, it seems people were going the opposite direction of most buffets, so at times, I couldn't tell if I was cutting in line or not. Everytime I went to get more food, my previous plate was removed and any spills cleaned. Even though there are a ton of people eating and walking around, it's surprisingly not that loud. The food: Grilled Brisket - not tender tastes like a chuck roast (pot roast) Cajun mussels- sweet and spicy Stuffed mushroom-breadcrumbs, flavorful, juicy, sweet earthy Butterflied fried shrimp- crispy and cooked well Hofun - flat noodles, semisweet, al dente, has onions Baby bok choy- tender and crisp, bright and lightly seasoned Pot Roast- savory, semisweet, tender. Better than the brisket (blasphemy) BBQ pork rib- sweet bbq sauce/glaze, kinda dry, but decent Green beans- steamed and sauteed, lightly salted and garlic, cooked well Salmon nigiri- delicate flavor with great rice Shrimp nigiri- clean flavor, mildly sweet shrimp Cheese mussels- sweet, cheesy, tender, plump Tuna Sashimi- firm, tender, not fishy, slightly oceany, clean flavor Grilled steak- nice char, but well done, so chewy and tough Sausage- bright and savory flavor. Kinda tastes like a breakfast sausage. Skin has a good snap to it Pot sticker- ground chicken? golden crust with perfect amount of filling, tender and crisp veggies Grilled calamari- firm and tender, nice char

We had a really great experience here at Golden Corral. What started off as a negative experience…read morequickly turned into an extremely positive one because of the outstanding customer service from Frank. At first, we didn't even know Frank was the general manager. He was out on the floor collecting plates while my wife and I were sitting at a booth. He noticed I hadn't eaten my enchilada and kindly asked, "What was wrong with the plate? How can we improve? What didn't you like about it?" That immediately showed me he genuinely cared. I explained that the enchilada just wasn't to my taste and felt dry, like it needed more sauce. I also mentioned that the sauce on the grilled chicken didn't sit well with me personally. Instead of getting defensive, Frank listened carefully and responded professionally. He thanked me for my honesty and said he appreciated the feedback because they are always looking for ways to improve and make the customer experience better. I also told him that one of the best things Golden Corral has is the steak and chicken bar, and that's one of the main reasons we came there. Again, he listened and acknowledged everything respectfully. I then mentioned that it would be great if they offered Menudo. Frank immediately replied, "We have Menudo, and this is what we can do for you." Not only did he make it happen, but he personally went the extra mile for both me and my wife. That level of customer service is rare nowadays. That's when Frank introduced himself as the general manager, and honestly, it made complete sense. You can clearly see he cares about his job, his customers, and the success of the business. Golden Corral needs more managers like Frank. Frank understands something important that many businesses overlook: if customers are leaving food unfinished on their plates, there's usually a reason behind it. Instead of ignoring the problem, he acknowledged it and looked for ways to improve. That mindset not only creates loyal customers, but it also helps reduce waste and saves the company money in the long run. My wife and I truly appreciated the professionalism, care, and effort Frank showed us. Because of him, we will absolutely continue coming back. Thank you again, Frank. Your hard work and leadership do not go unnoticed.

I have never been to Golden Corral and it was selected by my boyfriend who loves GC for quantity reasons. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Sherrie was our server. Sherrie walks around with a huge friendly smile, is quick to offer extra likes cinnamon flavoring for coffee, check if we needed anything we couldn't locate, and pick up and bus all the tables. We felt beyond welcomed and it was a homey feeling, like we were at a friend's house! I am a huge fan of menudo. I decided to try the menudo was actually shocked. Don't get me wrong it isn't completely like an abuelita was in the kitchen making it, however it was edible. It had a clean smell and not a barnyard smell. This is an accomplishment that surpasses most "authentic" Mexican restaurant, and I experienced it at a buffet. The only thing missing for me was tortillas and fresh cilantro and onion.. Butttt we don't complain over here .. so I'd rather not have cilantro and onion over tasting cow ass.. I walked over to check out desserts and happened to catch Alicia F doing temperature checks. This alone would have sent me over the roof happy. Food quality and cleanliness coupled with customer service bring me back to places that have mediocre food time and time again! Will I return: QUITE POSSIBLY... I walked in noticing the support of sending military kids to camp!! This is big for me having so many friends and family who have served our country and the state of affairs during this time. This isn't a political post, this is only to mention supporting children of those who support our country with their lives!

Service/ ambiance: Came here on a Thursday around 8 to be greeted by a 45min. Wait--we stuck around. The place was super packed, and because the windows had the blinds down with art work; it felt a bit claustrophobic and overwhelming. We got an alert that our table was ready and checked-in. The hostess then left us, and waved us down to signal where we were sitting (they could've told us to follow them lol) The waitress was nice, but seemed a bit scattered. Automatically asked what we wanted, but we had never been here before, so wasn't sure how it all worked (they never explained). The walls of our booth were littered with scrape marks and chipped paint. The booth had no cushion whatsoever, making it extremely difficult to get comfortable (ok...there's a cushion, but it's flat). The table was the most annoying part. No matter if you scoot it more towards you or the other side there still so much space. I'm basically sitting at the edge of my seat trying to eat because of the distance--if you're a bit heftier on the stomach--it's perfect. (Random observation: the bathroom looks nice, but not well kept. There's graffiti and cravings all over, which makes me think I'm in the bathroom of a dive bar) Food: As I mentioned I was craving sushi--their selection was lack luster. Almost everything had the same ingredients. The salmon sashimi looked pale and had no color. There were some pieces that were sliced so thin you could basically see through it. I ordered two rolls for my daughter (crazy roll & snow mountain)--both were lacking flavor. The presentation for them was as if they didn't care or even try? Every time I picked one up it would fall apart. The Hibachi steak was cold and dry. Shot ribs were just lathered in sauce (not my preference), and mostly came with little meat and all bone. I'd only come back if the majority of people I'm with want to go, but I wouldn't suggest it myself. The service felt rushed. Food could have been presented/ prepared better. Space could've opened easily by letting us see out the windows and not feel so packed like a can of sardines, and could definitely use some touch up paint and better cushions. It could've been an off night, but this is what I experienced.

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.
