I was really excited to try this place but was let down by the taste of the food. Meat is decent quality but not seasoned at all. Beans tasted like nothing and the rice was flavorless and stale. Corn salad was definitely canned corn. Not fresh and authentic. I don't understand why this place has so many good reviews. This review is long overdue. We heard about this place prolly a year ago and really loved it from first bite. My husband loved their asado! It's cooked to perfection! They have two different lunch plates #1 ( less meat ) and #2 ( more meat). I always opt for #2 since we don't live too close we gotta make sure we get enough to last our craving. The plate includes three different meats : their asado / chorizo/ and pork belly. All of them are decent but asado just stands out !!! And I'm glad that they have the option of asado only ! What makes it even better are the sauces and the beans! I'm not really a bean person but man their beans are really flavorful!!! I honestly think they cook it in meat juices ! I seriously don't understand how I didn't know about this place before. But ever since I found out about it, I've had it almost every week. Thank god my coworkers also love this place and love coming here for lunch with me. This Argentinean BBQ place is owned by an elderly couple, and they are just the sweetest! I always get the Aca Plate No. 1 with all the meat and no beans. I would rank the meat like this: asado, pork belly, chorizo. I know a lot of people just get the asado, but I like the variety while I'm eating. I'm also obsessed with the salad and veggies here. Also, you got to have it with the chimichurri sauce. It makes the meat taste even better, if that's even possible! I've always wanted to try to paella, but they let us know that it takes a while to make, so it's difficult to get during lunch time. Stopped by ACA Grill last night for dinner. My roommate told me about this spot so I decided to check it out. The menu isn't too crazy where you'll be overwhelmed with options so that's good for me. To start I ordered a beef empanada and a chicken empanada. In my opinion chicken empanada is better, it has a little kick of spice. I decided to get Aca plate 1 which states on the menu that comes with "less meat" I just wasn't sure how much less. I got a mixture of the 3 meats which is an option. I'll probably get Aca plate 2 which comes with you guessed it "more meat" however the meat was real juicy and by the way, their hot sauce creeps up on you! But it's great. I'd go back. read more

OMG This place...SOOOO GOOD! ACA Grill is like a hole-in-the-wall type of Argentinian restaurant. The parking lot in front is small. There's not a lot of seating inside, but omg it's worth the minuscule troubles. Their best would be the ACA Plate #1 (you can opt for the ACA Plate #2 if you're a hungry beast since it has more meat portions). There's 3 meat options you can choose from: Asada (beef), Pork belly, and Sausages. You can pay extra for all asada on your plate. I personally don't like the sausage so I usually just get the asada and pork belly. And let me tell you...it's BOMBBBB.COMMMM! The asada is tender, as if it's been braised, and flavored with seasoning that I can't put my finger on. The ACA Plate comes with the meats on a bed of rice pilaf, savory black beans, and a fresh salad consisting of corn, onions, and tomatoes. The salad comes with a light dressing that brightens up the entire dish. EVERYTHING on this plate is SO GOOD. The plate comes with their house-made, delicious chimichurri sauce and their red sauce that's literally hot fuego. It's REALLY spicy so beware! Don't EVER douse your entire plate with that sauce cuz you'll regret it. If you get the plate to-go, they don't give you the red sauce for free. You have to pay about $0.50 for the red sauce and any extra chimichurri sauce you wanna take. Their cheese balls are SOOO good too! But make sure you get it early (if you can) because they run out towards the end of the day. Overall, I highly suggest ACA Grill for both dine-in AND take-out. I really wanted to like this place after seeing everyone's pictures and reading all the reviews however to my dismay I can only rate this place as average. My fiancé and I shared an all asado plate with cheeseballs since I don't eat a whole lot of meat in one serving. If you're like me and don't like fatty meat then you probably won't be a fan of the asado either. I do appreciate the way they marinate the steak though so I mostly just ate those crispy parts of the asado. Moving on to the rest of the plate, the rice and beans were bland. Rice has a lot of potential in my opinion so perhaps they don't season it a lot to balance out the saltiness of the meats. The corn was just canned corn, nothing special. And while I did like the tomato and the cucumber slices I was left craving some potatoes or some hot vegetable with my meal. I didn't feel like the vegetables or the salad were in sync with the rest of the plate. The cheeseballs however were magnificent. Tiny little place in koreatown. Big flavor. Located on 8th and Berendo, there's a tiny lot you can park at for free. The menu is straight forward. Food is amazing. In a plate you have your choice of meat, rice, which is buttery and flavorful, beans (i think it's Feijoada) are really good, corn, green beans, and potato salad. They have this green sauce that is so good...you can pour it over your food or dip. They also have empanadas that are so flaky and full of flavor. This is flavor town, folks. Population ME. Small little mom and pop joint in the corner of an old plaza (right next to good ol Mountain Café) is truly a new hidden gem for those of you that haven't found out about this place yet! They have a bar with variety of salads/sides and everything is FRESH and delicious! I'm a bit bummed out that they opened AFTER I quit eating red meat/pork but I promise you that it is to die for (from what my friends tell me). I also ordered the chicken empanadas and it was so good I had to order some more to take some home. This place is so underrated.... Authentic Argentinian food over here. They have three special meat that they base most of their meals on: chorizo, pork belly, and asado. I preferred chorizo overall. The Korean owners/workers are so so genuine and I feel like I'm eating a food served by my own parents. I ordered the aca grill plate #1, served with various sides and your choice of meat. You can mix the meats so I got both asado and chorizo. The sides include: salad, corn, yellow rice (AMAZING BTW), salsa, string beans and more. It was just $9.99... CMON that's like skipping Mc Donald's one day for an authentic, mouth watering meal. Literally the meat was so tender and juicy, I didn't have to worry about my braces. The plates are the way to go! You get rice, choice of meat (chorizo, asado, or pork belly), & salad/beans. Quick and easy, as well as very affordable for the amount of food you get. The meat itself is tender and full of flavor. I love asado!!!! Chimichuri is not the best I've had but pairs nicely with the asado. Service is excellent. The ahjumma owner is so nice and she actually wants to talk to you and get to know you. She was also very apologetic for the food taking awhile to come out. We did go at a random time during the day though, around 3:30 or so when no one else was there. Parking can be tricky since the lot is tiny. I would recommend meter parking if possible. Aca Grill came highly recommended by a friend, so my family finally ventured over for dinner. I got Plate 2 with the chorizo, asado, and pork belly. The chorizo was good, but of the three, my least favorite (hey, someone has to come in last). The asado was really tender and delicious, but my favorite was the pork belly, which was awesome. And the chimichurri took all three meats to the next level. Do not forget the chimichurri! The restaurant itself is tiny, and parking is ridiculous. But the staff is extremely friendly, and they have seafood options as well (which I will try next time). The reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because my wife's asado was tough and chewy. I didn't realize this until after I had finished my plate and was eating her leftovers. Had I known hers wasn't as good as mine, I would have given her mine (really!). Parking lot available and also parking on Ktown is not hard to find. Place itself: simple: a few tables. We didn't have to wait too much. This is more a quick bite kinda spot. Don't expect crazy service. Food doesn't take long but you won't get the "how's your meal going" kinda thing. Food: great flavor. Specially the tri tip. Very flavorful but again, my brain was expecting Argentinian, but the flavor was more of just BBQ meat. The chimirruri wasn't good IMHO, but then again I'm a purist when it comes down to it. There are two plates you can choose from, the only difference is the amount of meat you'll receive and the price; either 1/4 ($9.99) or 1/2 pound ($14.99) of meat. The plates come with rice, salad, and beans. Everything on the plate is so freshly prepared and homemade. It also comes with their delicious chimichurri sauce, omggggggg this thing is to die for! You cant help but drench everything in this sauce. They even have it in containers that you can purchase to take home! They also have homemade empanadas next to the cash register and I definitely recommend their beef empanadas, they're the best! the only thing that sucks is that they run out soo quickly, so if there are any left when you arrive consider yourself lucky! The service is always amazing because its run by a very sweet couple, they are always so welcoming and vibrant! The only thing i would have to complain about is the limited seating on a crowded night, and parking is super hard to find; but for how superb aca grill is i'm willing to deal with the headache parking and staking out for a table. read more

I was skeptical about this place when I first saw it. I didn't expect to see an Argentinian restaurant in Koreatown, but I felt like I had to try because reasons. I saw their ribs on the menu and I knew I had to get it. I don't know what he did to the meat, but it was amazing. Eddy, I think that was his name, told me that after the war there was a rather large Korean population in Argentina. That's how his family knew how to make this deliciousness. The spicy chimichuri(I don't know how to spell it) was a great compliment to the meat. Here's a pro tip, on the bones there's this thin film of crunchy heaven that you have to pick off and eat. Cheeseballs were great as well. Overall everything was beyond amazing. I came back a few weeks later to pick up another rack of ribs from here. Eddy asked if I wanted it cut or whole. I told him I was hosting a dinner party and he advised me to leave it whole. Arriving home to my hungry guests, I quickly sliced up the meat and it was cooked to perfection, still hot (I live in the San Fernando Valley... Almost an hour drive back because of traffic), juicy, and moist. My guests are everything. My dreams for a sandwich the next day were shattered at the end of the night. I'm not sure if it's because we were the only customers there, but the ajumma owner was very attentive and she went out of her way to make our meal as satisfying as possible. She even threw in a few cheese balls on the house! Any restaurant that gives me free cheese balls deserves an instant 5 star! The quality of the meat here is on par with some of the more expensive sit-down Argentinian restaurants like Lala's. I ordered the plate #2 with asado, rice, and salad. This place is great! The asado is amazing, fatty, flavorful, tender, and really steals the show. Pork belly was not bad and i have not tried the sausage. Empanadas are pretty good too, particularly the spicy chicken but if you go late, they might be sold out. Price is a bit high but for the quality of the meat you are getting, it's worth it. The space is pretty small and the food might take a while to come out but definitely give it a try if you are a fan of Argentinian asado. I usually get the combo plate # 2 with all asado. Argentinean food in Ktown?!?! Say no more. I worked a drive up to Ktown into my schedule days after I first heard of ACA. Though I had a good experience and do plan on going back, it must be noted... this isn't true Argentinean. It's got that Korean touch, which is nothing to scoff at, but has it's own flair. The prices were reasonable and the owners were super friendly... all the perks I look for when spending my bucks. I sampled the empanadas which are my failsafe Argentinean go-to, and these were light & flaky. I likened them to the type of dough used for Brazilian Pastéis, however, my preferences lean toward the thick, doughy Argentinean style empanadas. Even though I didn't get what I walked in the door thinking I would get, it was still satisfying and at only about 2 bucks a pop, totally affordable when compared to other empanada shops in the neighborhood. I would definitely chose ACA over the others. ACA is a great addition to the Ktown scene and I'm looking forward to going back to try some of their other plates. Came here recently because I needed to increase my iron intake with pregnancy. I give this place five stars all the way!! Loved the #1 plate which is smaller than #2 but extremely filling. You can customize it the way you want by replacing chorizo with more asado and pork belly. And and if you don't like black beans like myself, you can always substitute it with more of their bombdiggity rice. The asado and pork belly are super tender and juicy. I especially loved the asado...the way it melted in my mouth and the way it was charred!!!! Their house sauce is tangy and addicting, and the red sauce is extremely hot but oh so good. So refreshing to have a place that serves non-KBBQ meat in Koreatown. This place is the real deal. ACA Grill is what you imagine that mom and pop shop that makes amazing food. You would not expect a small place like this to serve excellent food at excellent prices. When you walk in, you start to wonder why the staff is all Korean but they apparently actually came from Argentina, so I trust their taste. The plate #1 is about $12 (which is slowly the norm in LA, otherwise go to some cheap fast food) and you get rice, bean, salad, and three different types of meat, pork belly, asado, and chorizo. I will admit, the chorizo was a bit dry, however everything else tastes awesome. Normally, this would get a 4 stars in my book but because they have a hot sauce that is actually spicy, +1 from me.
