The space has a classy, mid-upscale vibe definitely giving "bougie" in the best way while still feeling comfortable and inviting. We visited on a Saturday, and the live music was phenomenal. The musicians played a great mix of current songs, which created an amazing atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. I also loved the thoughtful touch of offering personal handheld fans to guests if they got warm. The bar was another standout. I really appreciated that the cocktails are crafted using African or Black-owned liquors, making the drink menu feel unique and intentional. If you don't drink alcohol, they also have a wonderful selection of mocktails and natural teas, so there are plenty of options for everyone. The food took a little longer than expected to come out, but nothing unreasonable. The portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality and amount of food you receive. We ordered the oxtails, jollof rice, broccoli, peri-peri chicken, and pineapple chicken. Everything was delicious, especially the oxtails and jollof rice. My only recommendation is to be prepared if you're not a fan of spicy food the piri piri chicken definitely has some heat. Since they don't offer ranch or similar cooling sauces, just keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, Latha offers more than just great food it's a full experience. Between the beautiful atmosphere, live music, welcoming hospitality, thoughtfully curated drinks, and flavorful African cuisine, it's a restaurant I would absolutely recommend. Hubby just enjoyed the bread service, he couldn't get enough of it...LOL! We both had Filet Mignon...both medium...I added a Bordelaise sauce, which took mine over the top. We split the Brussel Sprouts side...it had tart cherries, bacon and a maple glaze...lovely!! Now, here's why it's a 4 instead of a 5--for dessert, I was so looking forward to their Bananas Foster (it's my favorite), but they no longer have it! NOOOOO!! I was obviously disappointed, but chose to have their Chocolate Cake. The cake was way too dense, but the ganache was decadent and so good. I ended up just scraping the ganache off...hey, it was my birthday!!!!! We'll still come back, the service is always nice and their steaks are delicious!! I appreciated the hostess showing the salad bar as we walked to a table, since we all had not been to this specific chain, but other Brazilian Steakhouse chains across the US (I've been to NYC, Jacksonville, Mesa, Scottsdale, and some in likely forgetting as I enjoy this dining concept). I was impressed by their selections at the salad bar, and enjoyed the caprese with balsamic glaze that was an available condiment. Manchego is always a must have if I see as well! The deviled eggs were a nice addition to the spread as well. As for the grilled meat items, they taste about what you'd expect at a Brazilian steakhouse. I wish they had chicken hearts like a location I frequent does. The grilled pineapple is always a hit with me. I did find myself more impressed with the salad bar though as the selection was pretty large, and could see myself getting just the salad bar on a future visit. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine for the table that was $25 off during happy hour, so I'd also be on the lookout to return during that timeframe as a $50 bottle became $25 which was great!
