Beautiful new venue (open now for 5 months). Clean and very efficient restaurant with great service and delicious food. My husband and I had the 'Shop Local' Benedict', Journeyman Bacon, Brown Butter Hollandaise, Goguette Sourdough, Acorn Breakfast Potatoes and the meal was delicious! They do serve breakfast cocktails, a delicious Bloody Mary (according to my husband) and you can't go wrong with a mimosa (which was my preference). I had been wanting to try this place since it's opened, excited by the sound of brown butter hollandaise sauce. You order at the counter so i forgot to ask for my eggs to be medium so i has to pick out the parts i don't like. I was thinking, should they have asked me? The sauce was tasty though, and the bacon used delicious, thick and high quality. I got salads on side in place of potatoes, which was average little handful. My friend got two fried eggs bacon and potatoes. He has to ask for eggs to be cooked harder. I think maybe it should be a question the order taker asks; how do you want your eggs cooked? I got a specialty coffee latte which was nice. I'd try the place again; portions and pricing are average. Service is fine, ambiance is mod, food presentations clean and modern. read more

4 stars is very good from my perspective. 5 stars is exceptional, as in Michelin Star rated. The first time I tried acorn café, I absolutely loved what I ordered. I tried the Shop Local Benedict and it was absolutely perfectly done, the brown butter hollandaise was amazing. I could tell a lot of thought was put into everything on my plate. Definitely coming to try other menu items and update as i go. I highly recommend Acorn Cafe, and by the way breakfast is one of my favorite meals to eat any time of the day. So I stopped by on day two and day three (today) still packing them in, so good to see! Nice to have some affordable food for the locals too thank you for doing that !!!! Everything about the Acorn Café is outstanding! The brand new interior is bright, comfortable, and welcoming. There's also a beautiful outside patio with a fireplace and plenty of seating. The service is great, you order at the counter and you are served at your table. The servers are polite and looking to anticipate your needs. The food is excellent, the hardest decision will be what to try first! The eggs Benedict with bacon is one of my favorites, along with the chicken sandwich and the tiramisu French Toast. They also offer a wide range of delicious beverages from smoothies, coffees, teas, and a variety of beers and wines. Definitely try it out, you'll be impressed and wanting to come back! read more

They have a good selection of food dishes and also toys and books available for the little ones to play with. Another Foo Foo cafe not long for the world. Stopped on my bike ride for a coffee n pastry. Surprised by the white tables and all the apron wearing staff...quit a change from the Oakville grocery. Ordered an Americano & oat/nut/fig bar. Coffee quit good. As a home coffee roaster, that a compliment. The bar was WORLD CLASS! The good news...a menu of about a dozen items. That means what they do, they do well. Kudos! The bad news it was served on a ceramic plate with the numerous hoovering waitstaff asking if I wanted water and when I declined removed all the water glasses from my table. Seems like they have unsustainable expenses. Can they make a business based on tourists without much local support? Time will tell. I'm going back for a breakfast of Shakshuka while they're still there. May amend review after that. read more

A family friendly restaurant with incredible food (breakfast all day, I'm in!), friendly service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Beryl and Ally are the most incredible humans, so kind and they worked so hard to bring their vision to life. My kids ask multiple times a week to have breakfast at "Mr Beryl's".
