The food was high quality. The servers friendly, helpful, and well trained. The ambiance very comfortable. They go above and beyond making this a family friendly spot. My daughter called their happy meal, a decorate your own pancake plate, her favorite meal she can remember, asking if we could come again tomorrow. They've got books and toys to borrow while you eat. They've got step stools for kids at the sinks that kick down and retract automatically. They even have a backpack hanger in the bathroom for the changing table! That won't sound exciting if you're not a parent, but if you are like me you've also wondered where the hell to put the backpack in every single darned bathroom anywhere. They do all this in a very refined way, so that if you don't have kids you won't be bothered, you'll likely just notice all the very well done details too. I ordered the Eggs Benedict on terrific flavorful gluten free toast. The brown butter hollandaise was thick, creamy and aplenty. The roasted potato medley was very nicely crisped. I had some of the bagel with lox and the lox was super soft and tender, not too fishy or salty, the fried capers were an excellent touch I'm stealing. Great service at the counter. Our friendly cashier there patiently helped me navigate my indecision, and then came to the table to make sure we all liked our selections. Every server was smiling and as energetic as the coffees. It was extremely busy on a Sunday morning but it was fairly easy to grab a table and our food didn't take too long to arrive. I tried the avocado toast which was filled with lots of flavor and my partner had the chicken sandwich that came with chips! The iced snicker doodle latte was also amazing as it was not too sweet. Great atmosphere for a date, family gathering or just friendly hangout. Their drinks are 10/10, initially I didn't know if it was worth it for a low alcohol drink but the 13-15$ is deserved for their amazing mixes! My very picky boyfriend enjoyed everything and even tried new things liking them as well!!!I don't want to recommend it hoping that I could keep this great place to myself, but they were already busy when I went. Even with them being busy I was able to get a table and enjoy my meal in a timely fashion. Just had brunch there for the first time. I had Huevos Rancheros (delicious) and my husband had the Eggs Benedict which he loved. The beans in my dish were undercooked, but the dish was well-seasoned. Warning: If don't like cilantro, this dish was loaded with it! I'm sure they could leave it off though. I asked to have the egg to be over easy rather than sunny side up to be less runny. The side of salad could use a bit more dressing since I barely tasted it. The place is gorgeous. Love the outdoor fireplace. The food was very pretty however, both myself and my mom thought the food was lacking in flavor. I ordered the avocado toast with poached egg. The bread they used, which was seeded rye was not toasted at all! We joked that toast was in the name, how could the bread not be toasted. The avocado mash on top was again, very pretty to look at however, needed some flavor or spice to it. We also ordered the hash brown, which was more like a deep fried waffle potato. Very greasy and very disappointing. Mom got a bagel and cream cheese, again just alright. Their matcha was good and mom liked her chai. I found out about Acorn Cafe on Sonoma Magazine highlighting their Lemon Ricotta Hotcake and knew I had to come try it! Came here for a late lunch on the first day of summer. Ordered the Lemon Ricotta Hotcake and the fried chicken sando. Wow! Blown away by the lemon hotcake. It's a little thicker than your usual pancake topped with House Lemon Curd, Whipped Ricotta, Oat Crumble, and Lemon Lavender Ice Cream. Delicious, soft, fluffy and light for brunch without feeling stuffed like a typical pancake. The chicken sando was gigantic served with a side of chips. It was like a gigantic burger banh mi, tasted like one too from the sliced carrots, daikon radish, cilantro and jalapeños! It was perfect except too much house sweet soy sauce that leaked all the way on the bottom of the bun which became soggy and the dish became oily. Otherwise a great option for brunch or lunch! We ordered our food and I ordered the breakfast burger because it was the first thing that caught my eye. And if you know me you know I am a huge fan of brunch so the burger made sense. We lucked out on a table that became available outside and food came out in about 20-25ish minutes (reasonable for a Saturday afternoon). That breakfast burger was 10/10. I didn't event realize that there was a hash brown until I took a bite and it was perfectly crispy. That burger alone was the perfect serving size. I even split it in half. Barely touched the salad, I think I would have preferred fruits or another side instead. Nonetheless, I highly recommend and cannot wait to come back. Yep this place has 4.5 stars for a reason!!! Went for the first time today after hearing about it from many people. You walk in and order at the counter and then pick a seat (lots of nice outdoor tables too!), which I love because you can order your food asap!!! Lots of yummy stuff to choose from on the menu!! The açaí bowl is absolutely mouthwatering, so amazing. And I also got the strawberry mimosa thing The Sunrise I think it was called and the "brekkie sando", with nice thinly sliced shaved ham, scrambled eggs on a flakey croissant, and potatoes as a side. My friends got the chicken sandwich and the Benedict and they both were very happy too!! Every thing there is so delicious! They also have a cute kids menu with crayons and some toys for kids too. When it came to their coffees, they were pretty good with the Dutch Cookie being my favorite to get anytime I come in. With food, I mainly stick to the Breakfast Burger.
