I previously wrote a five-star review for Adept seven years ago that I seem to have overwritten instead of providing an updated review (d'oh). While I am woefully NOT adept at writing Yelp reviews... I'll summarize my previous review by saying I've used Adept movers for almost a decade now and will never use another moving company as long as I'm in the area! I first used Adept's services when moving out of my college apartment in 2014. Since then, I've used them at least four other times and am consistently amazed by their level of service and professionalism. Below is my review specific to my move today. UPDATE 11/18/23 - I once again cannot give Adept enough stars for their professionalism, expert service, and abilities! Adept are the only movers I'll ever use in the SoCal area - they are punctual, reliable, efficient, fairly-priced, and friendly every time I need to move. Dmitry and Kostya were my movers today and went above and beyond to make my move a total success! Adept has only gotten better since I've used them starting in 2015 (and they were wonderful then already!). You can now get a quote online from them and they have chip readers that they use for credit card payments (rather than the old fashioned manual entry). Alex provided my quote and was super helpful with scheduling and in answering any questions I had prior to the move. Adept is incredibly fair with their prices, especially for the quality of their work and how reliable they are. And unlike a lot of other movers, the professionals I've used from Adept have NEVER wasted time or dragged out the clock. They truly make it their priority to get your job done as quickly and efficiently as possible while ensuring your stuff stays intact and just as you'd left it. My scheduled move time was between 9 and 10 am today. To my surprise, Dmitry and Kostya showed up earlier than expected, around 8:15 am! (For those of you who've ever had a service delivery window - you know this is pretty much unheard of, since people usually come at the tail end of a window or way after the fact.) They immediately got to work, making sure to shrink wrap all my furniture for safety and checking in with me throughout the process to make sure they were handling everything properly. As he was moving other boxes, Kostya examined my desk and gently recommended that I pack the contents of it separately. He pointed out where the shelving connected and how it likely wouldn't hold my stuff during the trip, which would likely lead to damage. When I didn't have another box available in which to pack my desk things, Kostya provided one free of charge. He was also incredibly diligent in protecting the things I'd already packed. He assessed every open box I had and would ask me if it was okay to place soft items like toys or blankets in the spaces between more fragile items like plates and cups. I really appreciate his thoroughness here, because it helped protect all my items during the move! Dmitry and Kostya did a fantastic job unpacking when we were at my new place, always checking in with me to make sure things were to my liking. In fact, they also FIXED the mistake of other movers I had used previously! The one time in the past where I didn't use Adept - when I had a super last-minute move and booked the first movers I could find - that company didn't properly assemble my bed frame, which I didn't realize till after they'd left. This meant I heard squeaking and felt unsupported every time I got into bed! To be fair to the other movers, this bed is a unique/non-standard design that I think must have confused them, and I was sure I'd encounter the same issue regardless of the movers I chose. On a whim, I pointed it out to Dmitry today in hopes that he and Kostya could figure out the issue. Dmitry took one look at my squeaky, rickety bed and said "We'll fix it, no problem". When he and Kostya had to navigate through a tight hallway, they immediately realized they would need to fully disassemble my bed to get it through the narrow hallway to my bedroom. They ended up putting it back together WAY better than the other company ever did. Dmitry took his time making sure every screw and hinge was in its proper place, and my bed is solid as a rock now thanks to his and Kostya's handiwork - no squeaking whatsoever! Dmitry and Kostya really made my move today so seamless and pain-free. They took all the stress out of what could have been a hectic day, and somehow made my furniture more solid and functional in the process! Adept Moving Company was recommended to me by friends that had used their services in the past. I had no prior experience with them so I was pleasantly surprised when my move turned out to be faster and easier than I had originally anticipated. A four man team (Ilia, Sergey, Rustam and Berik) arrived exactly on time at 8am and they were all very professional and polite. After a short introduction and walk-through they immediately got to work. The team worked with purpose and I was surprised by how quickly they were able to package my furniture and electronics and move them into the truck. They listened to my instructions and asked my wife and I for clarification before just grabbing things and packing them. They treated all of my belongings with care and ensured that everything was properly protected for transport. They easily disassembled our large bed with a massive headboard and carried it out. We own several large, heavy, irregularly shaped mirrors as well as large flat-screen television sets and when I saw them carefully packing them, my mind was set at ease. They had plenty of wardrobe boxes to easily move our closets. The team was also very helpful with our outdoor plants and furniture. They moved several large potted plants and even carried the heavy clay replacement pots we had stored in garage to where the plants had been. From the time they arrived until we left to drive to the new residence around 11:45am, these guys had not taken a single break. By the time they arrived at our new residence I was already feeling sluggish and I hadn't performed a fraction of the work they had! But these guys did not slow the pace of their work at all. They immediately got to work unloading and unwrapping our belongings. They showed the same level of care and professionalism unloading as they did when they began. They consulted us where each item should be placed and made sure we were happy with the arrangements before moving on to the next task. They carefully unwrapped everything and reassembled all of the furniture that had been taken apart. I inspected everything as it was being unwrapped and I couldn't find a single mark on anything. It is also worth mentioning that they didn't scratch a single wall in either the old or new house throughout the entire process! Halfway through the unloading process, we ordered sandwiches for the team because not only were we impressed by the job they were doing but it was also clear they were not going to take a break of their own accord. This was the only break they took the entire time. At the end Ilia sat down with us and filled out the paperwork while explaining the charges and even contacting the management to ensure he had calculated everything correctly. The charges for the service were more than reasonable in my opinion. I have moved several times over the last few years and I have paid much more for much less competent and efficient movers. There wasn't a single moment where I regretted using Adept Moving Company. I highly recommend this company to those that want a quick and painless moving experience. This was my first time ever hiring movers--and I'm officially never going back to doing it myself. Viktor and Andrew were absolutely incredible from start to finish. Not only were they professional and punctual, but they treated us and our belongings with such care and respect, it truly felt like family was helping us move. We had some seriously tight spaces to navigate in our new apartment--especially with our oversized fridge and bulky couches--but Viktor and Andrew didn't back down. They got creative, stayed patient, and made it work without a single scratch or complaint. I was so impressed by their problem-solving skills and their genuine commitment to making sure everything was done right. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and stress-free during what is usually a chaotic day. I can't recommend them enough. If you're on the fence about hiring movers--don't be. They handled every single item with the utmost care, and I never once worried about anything getting damaged. They were so thoughtful and patient, even as I realized just how much stuff I had accumulated over the years. What impressed me most was their attention to detail and how respectful they were of my space and belongings. They carefully packed everything and made sure it was all securely stored in my garage while my house is under construction. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING YOUR MOVE. I'm not really a person that enjoys complaining, and truly understand that accidents happen. However, as they can happen, you should also be accountable when you caused them. We have had Adept to take care of our movings several times before, even left a 5 stars review for them before because I think you should be celebrated when you do right. Unfortunately that was not the case this last time when we had them to take care of our moving back in June 29th, to our ever first purchased home, where we did our best to do some remodeling, among the changes we decided to install a brand new flooring. When they were putting the fridge inside the kitchen they dragged in instead of lifting it; keep on mind we hired 3 movers exactly to avoid any damage to the floor with heavy items. As expected they destroyed multiple pieces of the brand new installed floor. This among multiple deep scratches to all of our appliances that were only 6 months old. As every moving company they had a very Ridiculous insurance that "covers" you in case anything is damaged at an incredible $0.60 per Pound (I think the only thing it's good for is to them not to be liable for any damage to your goods) Basically valuing your property as worthless. Anyway, after writing a claim to them for the damages to the floor mainly, because I knew the appliances damages were going to be a joke of an offer, I never got a response during 1 month, so I decided to call them, they said they moved to a new location so claims were on hold for now, waited another month, never heard from them, so I called again, they said I was soon going to get an answer, it took another 2 weeks to get a joke of an offer...$200 dollars for all the damages and making me wait over 2 months. I had to spend $1200 in the floors to replace the multiple affected pieces. So I declined the offer, call them again 2 weeks ago they said they were going to call me the next day, never happened, call them again a week ago only to obtain the same answer, so Today I decided to share this long review, to warn you: IF YOU DON'T MIND COMPANIES LIKE THIS ENTERING YOUR PROPERTY TO MAKE A MESS NOT ONLY TO YOUR BELONGINGS go ahead and book them. My decision of choosing this company based on a recommendation from my friend who has recently moved and I'm so happy I found your business on YELP. I called the company, the gentleman who answered the phone was very nice and even suggested me the way how to make my moving process cheaper instead of charging me more. This company is awesome! All I can say is WOW! MAX's team did a great job, they are the best. Max with two another movers came on time (punctual workers) and were totally polite and friendly. He clearly explained me a price and how many time it would take. They came prepared with everything, it was obvious that Max and the rest of the team were experienced. These guys worked professionally with some pretty heavy furniture and boxes, they had to walk walk up and down a bunch of stairs. Very nice and trustworthy guys who handled some very heavy furniture with ease. Max didn't refused any difficult tasks and special requests I asked of them. I had them stop at three different places - to take some stuff for donation to GoodWill, some parts of my old furniture to Storage. The truck was was heavy duty, large and fast. The most importantly - they were quick, efficient and take care of wrapping and packing everything so it was protected. They wrapped all of my 2 bedrooms and living room up with such care. Nothing were damaged, scratched or broken. Max's team even didn't ask to make smoke break, they didn't stop and kept moving. By the way, it was my 4th move in 5 years, and first in California. I have never felt myself so glad of moving process. I have to say these are the best movers I have ever used. They really did an amazing job. The customer service was impeccable, the price beat every other company I quoted and finally and mainly - The service was on a highest level.I'm really happy with their services, I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for affordable, professional and efficient movers! Their reputation is one of the best in Los Angeles. Their rates are the best too. No wonder you have 5 stars. Thank you again for moving us into our new home!!!
