I chose this moving company because they were highly recommended and appeared highly qualified. Unfortunately, my experience did not match their reputation. When the crew arrived, one mover (Brian) walked through my place and immediately said the job was "too big," then tried to upsell me on adding another mover for $40/hr before even starting. Once they began, they wasted time grabbing small items instead of focusing on the furniture, even after I asked them to prioritize the larger pieces. I was told they would disassemble and reassemble my furniture -- they didn't. I ended up doing it myself. The expected cost was $362 (109×3 + 35). They stayed until 6:15 PM, charged $371, and I still paid $400 cash just to get the job over with. To their credit, customer service did reach out to me personally by phone and email, and they issued a full refund for the inconvenience. I appreciated that. However, after the refund, they contacted me again and offered money to remove my review, which goes against Google's review policy regarding incentives for altering or deleting honest feedback. That part was extremely disappointing. Overall, the movers themselves were inefficient, didn't complete the tasks promised, and created more stress than relief. The refund was appreciated, but the attempt to pay me to remove my review was unacceptable.

They were very good! Had to move out of our apartment from the 3rd level and they handled it effortlessly. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience having Nick and Alex help us move to our new place. They were really efficient and getting our furniture to our new place and on time. They assembled and reassembled our furniture which saved us a lot of time. They were also really friendly to chat with and they also showed a lot of care to make sure our furnitures arrived undamaged

We used Adept Moving recently and they were absolutely fantastic. They are expert movers when it comes to wrapping and packing things to keep all of your belongings safe. Dimitri and his team moved very fast to keep costs low but they were thorough even in their speed. We didn't have to worry about the safety of any of our belongings and the team of 3 moved efficiently from the moment they arrived. I was so impressed. We are so grateful to Adept Moving and this is the first recommendation I give out to all my friends now.

Let's face it, whatever way you look at moving, it is a huge hassle. So, it's important to choose the right company so that this transition can be stress-free and seamless as possible. It was by luck that I stumbled upon Adept Moving. My boxes were packed all I needed was them moved, with a few large furniture pieces, a condensed wardrobe and some room accessories. Vladimir and Alex were the two from Adept that took care of the loading, the unloading and the transportation. Tina, at the office, was in charge of the logistics. I have to say they exceeded all of my expectations. Both Vladimir and Alex worked harmoniously with precision and accuracy. They were courteous, accommodating and conducted the move efficiently, with a high degree of professionalism. At the end of it all, I was extremely impressed and satisfied. Easily, one of the best, if not the best move I've ever had. read more

This is only a review of my phone call with them. Spoke to Adept Moving at 213-669-5670 for 24 minutes this morning. They would not provide a Not-To-Exceed total price which is required by California law. When I asked why they wouldn't provide a total price or Not-To-Exceed price, they became dodgy and gave excuses. I do not trust them and would not hire them because of this. read more

Hiring movers can always be a gamble, but I hit the jackpot when I hired Adept for my latest move. Nick, Alex and Musa were right on time, communicating with me via text the entire time, and they couldn't have been kinder or more respectful of my things. Nothing was damaged...they took their time to protect not only my furniture but also the doorways so they wouldn't damage the walls on their way in and out. And the overall cost of the move was affordable and better than many of their competitors after doing my research. I seriously cannot say enough good things about Adept Moving and especially this time, Aibek and Kazbek!! This was my second time with them and I had such a great experience my first time, I had to book again. This time, they being Aibek and Kazbek, helped me move from LA to Orange County and were absolutely amazing. I was super stressed out beforehand with moving again but they made the process so incredible I didn't have to worry about a thing. I had WAY more stuff than I thought I did lol, and they worked so hard the entire day. My move ended up being about 8.5 hours and these guys were still just as helpful and hardworking at the end of the day as they were when they first showed up that morning. They were so careful with all of my stuff, wrapped everything really well, and somehow managed to fit my entire life into the truck and then into my new apartment . Nothing was damaged and I never felt like they were rushing or being careless even though it was such a long day. More than anything, Aibek and Kazbek were just really nice guys. They were friendly, patient, professional, and made what could have been an incredibly stressful day so much easier. I was exhausted just watching them and genuinely don't know how they kept going lol. They were so amazingly efficient. If you're booking a move, ask for Aibek and Kazbek!! I would request them again in a heartbeat. They worked incredibly hard and absolutely deserve all the recognition they can get. Great move, found adept via Reddit and I was not disappointed. I had Aibek and Max who communicated every step of the way, what their plan of attack was going to be, and then went after it. They were extremely helpful in not only moving but graciously being open to swiftly packing and disassembling desks/bed/tables without taking their time. I have a 77" razor thin tv that they moved with white glove service. Great experience, good people, great value. Would definitely use adept again and the services of Aibek and Max. read more

George, Alex, and Garni were incredible-- super friendly and proactive. They hopped in to help with anything we were moving or packing even if we didn't ask them to, and they were friendly to our dogs and neighbors. We never saw them sitting idly (they worked a whole 10 hours, minus a half hour lunch break). They were very careful to make sure they were putting everything in the right place and they went out of the way to unpack as well. Not a single item broke or was damaged, despite 30 stairs and lots of oddly-shaped items. We have no idea how we would've gotten the job done without them. Would call them all again in a heartbeat! I previously wrote a five-star review for Adept seven years ago that I seem to have overwritten instead of providing an updated review (d'oh). While I am woefully NOT adept at writing Yelp reviews... I'll summarize my previous review by saying I've used Adept movers for almost a decade now and will never use another moving company as long as I'm in the area! I first used Adept's services when moving out of my college apartment in 2014. Since then, I've used them at least four other times and am consistently amazed by their level of service and professionalism. Below is my review specific to my move today. UPDATE 11/18/23 - I once again cannot give Adept enough stars for their professionalism, expert service, and abilities! Adept are the only movers I'll ever use in the SoCal area - they are punctual, reliable, efficient, fairly-priced, and friendly every time I need to move. Dmitry and Kostya were my movers today and went above and beyond to make my move a total success! Adept has only gotten better since I've used them starting in 2015 (and they were wonderful then already!). You can now get a quote online from them and they have chip readers that they use for credit card payments (rather than the old fashioned manual entry). Alex provided my quote and was super helpful with scheduling and in answering any questions I had prior to the move. Adept is incredibly fair with their prices, especially for the quality of their work and how reliable they are. And unlike a lot of other movers, the professionals I've used from Adept have NEVER wasted time or dragged out the clock. They truly make it their priority to get your job done as quickly and efficiently as possible while ensuring your stuff stays intact and just as you'd left it. My scheduled move time was between 9 and 10 am today. To my surprise, Dmitry and Kostya showed up earlier than expected, around 8:15 am! (For those of you who've ever had a service delivery window - you know this is pretty much unheard of, since people usually come at the tail end of a window or way after the fact.) They immediately got to work, making sure to shrink wrap all my furniture for safety and checking in with me throughout the process to make sure they were handling everything properly. As he was moving other boxes, Kostya examined my desk and gently recommended that I pack the contents of it separately. He pointed out where the shelving connected and how it likely wouldn't hold my stuff during the trip, which would likely lead to damage. When I didn't have another box available in which to pack my desk things, Kostya provided one free of charge. He was also incredibly diligent in protecting the things I'd already packed. He assessed every open box I had and would ask me if it was okay to place soft items like toys or blankets in the spaces between more fragile items like plates and cups. I really appreciate his thoroughness here, because it helped protect all my items during the move! Dmitry and Kostya did a fantastic job unpacking when we were at my new place, always checking in with me to make sure things were to my liking. In fact, they also FIXED the mistake of other movers I had used previously! The one time in the past where I didn't use Adept - when I had a super last-minute move and booked the first movers I could find - that company didn't properly assemble my bed frame, which I didn't realize till after they'd left. This meant I heard squeaking and felt unsupported every time I got into bed! To be fair to the other movers, this bed is a unique/non-standard design that I think must have confused them, and I was sure I'd encounter the same issue regardless of the movers I chose. On a whim, I pointed it out to Dmitry today in hopes that he and Kostya could figure out the issue. Dmitry took one look at my squeaky, rickety bed and said "We'll fix it, no problem". When he and Kostya had to navigate through a tight hallway, they immediately realized they would need to fully disassemble my bed to get it through the narrow hallway to my bedroom. They ended up putting it back together WAY better than the other company ever did. Dmitry took his time making sure every screw and hinge was in its proper place, and my bed is solid as a rock now thanks to his and Kostya's handiwork - no squeaking whatsoever! Dmitry and Kostya really made my move today so seamless and pain-free. They took all the stress out of what could have been a hectic day, and somehow made my furniture more solid and functional in the process! I so appreciate their expertise, quality of work, thoroughness, and diligence - and will always call on Adept for any moves I make in the future. Spasibo Dmitry & Kostya! : read more

Adept Moving Company was recommended to me by friends that had used their services in the past. I had no prior experience with them so I was pleasantly surprised when my move turned out to be faster and easier than I had originally anticipated. A four man team (Ilia, Sergey, Rustam and Berik) arrived exactly on time at 8am and they were all very professional and polite. After a short introduction and walk-through they immediately got to work. The team worked with purpose and I was surprised by how quickly they were able to package my furniture and electronics and move them into the truck. They listened to my instructions and asked my wife and I for clarification before just grabbing things and packing them. They treated all of my belongings with care and ensured that everything was properly protected for transport. They easily disassembled our large bed with a massive headboard and carried it out. We own several large, heavy, irregularly shaped mirrors as well as large flat-screen television sets and when I saw them carefully packing them, my mind was set at ease. They had plenty of wardrobe boxes to easily move our closets. The team was also very helpful with our outdoor plants and furniture. They moved several large potted plants and even carried the heavy clay replacement pots we had stored in garage to where the plants had been. From the time they arrived until we left to drive to the new residence around 11:45am, these guys had not taken a single break. By the time they arrived at our new residence I was already feeling sluggish and I hadn't performed a fraction of the work they had! But these guys did not slow the pace of their work at all. They immediately got to work unloading and unwrapping our belongings. They showed the same level of care and professionalism unloading as they did when they began. They consulted us where each item should be placed and made sure we were happy with the arrangements before moving on to the next task. They carefully unwrapped everything and reassembled all of the furniture that had been taken apart. I inspected everything as it was being unwrapped and I couldn't find a single mark on anything. It is also worth mentioning that they didn't scratch a single wall in either the old or new house throughout the entire process! Halfway through the unloading process, we ordered sandwiches for the team because not only were we impressed by the job they were doing but it was also clear they were not going to take a break of their own accord. This was the only break they took the entire time. At the end Ilia sat down with us and filled out the paperwork while explaining the charges and even contacting the management to ensure he had calculated everything correctly. The charges for the service were more than reasonable in my opinion. I have moved several times over the last few years and I have paid much more for much less competent and efficient movers. There wasn't a single moment where I regretted using Adept Moving Company. I highly recommend this company to those that want a quick and painless moving experience. Yelp will only let me write one review but I used the company 2 days in a row. It's that good! Review #1 Phenomenal Moving Experience with Viktor and Andrew! This was my first time ever hiring movers--and I'm officially never going back to doing it myself. Viktor and Andrew were absolutely incredible from start to finish. Not only were they professional and punctual, but they treated us and our belongings with such care and respect, it truly felt like family was helping us move. We had some seriously tight spaces to navigate in our new apartment--especially with our oversized fridge and bulky couches--but Viktor and Andrew didn't back down. They got creative, stayed patient, and made it work without a single scratch or complaint. I was so impressed by their problem-solving skills and their genuine commitment to making sure everything was done right. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and stress-free during what is usually a chaotic day. I can't recommend them enough. If you're on the fence about hiring movers--don't be. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING YOUR MOVE. I'm not really a person that enjoys complaining, and truly understand that accidents happen. However, as they can happen, you should also be accountable when you caused them. We have had Adept to take care of our movings several times before, even left a 5 stars review for them before because I think you should be celebrated when you do right. Unfortunately that was not the case this last time when we had them to take care of our moving back in June 29th, to our ever first purchased home, where we did our best to do some remodeling, among the changes we decided to install a brand new flooring. When they were putting the fridge inside the kitchen they dragged in instead of lifting it; keep on mind we hired 3 movers exactly to avoid any damage to the floor with heavy items. As expected they destroyed multiple pieces of the brand new installed floor. This among multiple deep scratches to all of our appliances that were only 6 months old. As every moving company they had a very Ridiculous insurance that "covers" you in case anything is damaged at an incredible $0.60 per Pound (I think the only thing it's good for is to them not to be liable for any damage to your goods) Basically valuing your property as worthless. Anyway, after writing a claim to them for the damages to the floor mainly, because I knew the appliances damages were going to be a joke of an offer, I never got a response during 1 month, so I decided to call them, they said they moved to a new location so claims were on hold for now, waited another month, never heard from them, so I called again, they said I was soon going to get an answer, it took another 2 weeks to get a joke of an offer...$200 dollars for all the damages and making me wait over 2 months. I had to spend $1200 in the floors to replace the multiple affected pieces. So I declined the offer, call them again 2 weeks ago they said they were going to call me the next day, never happened, call them again a week ago only to obtain the same answer, so Today I decided to share this long review, to warn you: IF YOU DON'T MIND COMPANIES LIKE THIS ENTERING YOUR PROPERTY TO MAKE A MESS NOT ONLY TO YOUR BELONGINGS go ahead and book them. My decision of choosing this company based on a recommendation from my friend who has recently moved and I'm so happy I found your business on YELP. I called the company, the gentleman who answered the phone was very nice and even suggested me the way how to make my moving process cheaper instead of charging me more. This company is awesome! All I can say is WOW! MAX's team did a great job, they are the best. Max with two another movers came on time (punctual workers) and were totally polite and friendly. He clearly explained me a price and how many time it would take. They came prepared with everything, it was obvious that Max and the rest of the team were experienced. These guys worked professionally with some pretty heavy furniture and boxes, they had to walk walk up and down a bunch of stairs. Very nice and trustworthy guys who handled some very heavy furniture with ease. Max didn't refused any difficult tasks and special requests I asked of them. I had them stop at three different places - to take some stuff for donation to GoodWill, some parts of my old furniture to Storage. The truck was was heavy duty, large and fast. The most importantly - they were quick, efficient and take care of wrapping and packing everything so it was protected. They wrapped all of my 2 bedrooms and living room up with such care. Nothing were damaged, scratched or broken. Max's team even didn't ask to make smoke break, they didn't stop and kept moving. By the way, it was my 4th move in 5 years, and first in California. I have never felt myself so glad of moving process. I have to say these are the best movers I have ever used. They really did an amazing job. The customer service was impeccable, the price beat every other company I quoted and finally and mainly - The service was on a highest level.I'm really happy with their services, I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for affordable, professional and efficient movers! I've been using Adept Moving for 5 years (and I've moved many times in that time frame) - but my most recent experience with this company was absolutely exceptional which is why I feel inclined to write them an outstanding review. I was moving out of my favorite apartment in Venice (where I house ALL of my favorite things), so it was really important to me that the boxes and all of my belongings were handled gently and packed with great care. I only had 2 movers - but believe it or not, that's all I needed! Ilia and Vitalik showed up to the job on time (5 minutes early), and were courteous and professional every second of their stay. I had everything packed and ready to go (for the most part - I still needed quite a bit of help as I'm a single female and didn't exactly know what I was doing with many free standing items - including all the kitchen ware). Since I had nothing to do but stand around, I asked Ilia to show me how to properly wrap each kitchen item in newspaper to avoid any damage - and he helped without hesitation (and gave great instruction!). Who better to learn how to pack fragile items than from professional movers? While they loaded a million of my heavy boxes (and oversized furniture into the truck), I confidently packed up my fragile stemware (this gave me something to do AND saved me money). The job started at 9am - and we managed to pack, load, and secure each item to be delivered to my (praying to God that everything would fit) 10 X 10 Public Storage unit on time and effortlessly with the job finished by 6pm. If I could say one thing, it's that both Ilia and Vitalik are Tetris magicians. I honestly don't know how it was made possible to move THAT much stuff (with so many fragile items and odd shaped furniture) into a 10 X 10 space - perfectly. I give a standing ovation for both of these men and their diligent work - and a big thank you to the owner and manager (I think his name is Daniel) of this company for running such a smooth operation and hiring such caring, dependable men. I just moved my one bedroom apartment from West Hollywood down to El Segundo. I'd never used a moving company before and was thrilled with how fast and easy this was. I scheduled a move for Saturday afternoon and asked them to please keep me in mind if a morning appointment opened up. I got a phone call the day before to confirm and they were able to move up my appointment -- and they showed up ten minutes early! My movers were Vitya and Max and they were super speedy! While one went over all of the charges and costs with me, the other immediately started getting stuff down into the truck. I like how thorough they were explaining every possible charge that could incur (both over the phone and in person). When the final bill came it was exactly what I had planned for, and the option to pay in cash makes their already low rates even lower. They wrapped all my furniture really carefully -- I have white fabric couches and all of my tables/chairs/dressers are white, and they were ALL delivered without a single scuff on them. They also took care to ask me about how I wanted certain things carried or boxed up. When I arrived at the new apartment, they were great about making sure everything was put in the place I wanted. Since my new apartment has wood floors (as opposed to the old one which had carpet), they made sure to put pads on the legs of all my furniture so that no damage was done to the floors. They were also extremely careful maneuvering the furniture inside and outside the apartment, taking care not to bump any walls. I really appreciated how thorough they were both in explaining the pricing and in making sure everything was packed and unpacked the way that I wanted it to be. Of course, the bottom line is that you really just can't beat the price here -- especially if you pay in cash! Would definitely recommend to anyone moving on a budget, a way better deal than all of the other moving companies. read more

After I wrote the review below, I was contacted by the company who made what I believe was a good faith effort to find out what happened and make amends. They also reimbursed me $250. They felt the problem was the inexperienced person who booked the job in the first place. I upgraded their star rating to 3 based on this experience, but it's probably a bit generous. *********** Adept charged us over $2500 for what was estimated as an $800 job and it took a full extra day. When we booked Adept we told them we lived on a street with narrow roads in Topanga. We also told them we had a 3000 sf house with an appropriate amount of furniture. In fact, we were overestimating because much of one floor was devoted to my professional work which was moved the previous day by another specialist company. Despite our warnings, no one ever came out to check in person and it was a "surprise" when they discovered they had to send a smaller truck. Subsequently, the move - estimated at a little under $800 - cost over $2500 and had to go to a second day. (Not all of that was due to the size of the truck - some was just ridiculously optimistic estimating.) I had given them $1000 in cash at the end of the first day - all I had and $200 more than their estimate - and believed was told I could pay the balance of both days at the end of the second day. However, the manager the second day said they wouldn't begin work until they were paid the balance they were owed from the first - an additional $500. As I was on the destination end and couldn't leave for other reasons, I had to find someone to send with the $500. This held things up an additional three hours and caused the move to go into the night. The actual crew moving crew was hard-working and very nice if not exceptionally expert. Had this review been based just on them I probably would have given them 4 stars. read more

Adept Moving Company took the pain out of an already stressful time that everyone has to go through when they move! Starting from my initial estimate process to my actual move, Adept Moving made it easy and smooth. We haven't moved in 11 years so I initially looked at the reviews of my previous moving company which were awful. Thus, I asked my friends for their input (they had used Adept Moving) and read all of the yelp reviews and tried to understand how people could give such a glowing review of a moving company??? But, now I know! As for the actual move, the team came 10 minutes early so they could walk the place with me so I could tell them what needed to stay and what needed to go. They were even able to help pack up some miscellaneous items we just hadn't had time yet to pack properly. Then Anatoli (the head mover) and Ivan set about to work. If you have the option, YOU WANT THIS TEAM OF GUYS. They treated my belongings as if they were their own. All of my furniture was wrapped so well and so quickly. There was NO damage to any furniture, boxes or belongings. Everything was excellent! When all was said and done, our final payment was so far UNDER the initial quote because they were so efficient. So to recap: we paid less than expected (was so reasonable), had great customer service before the move, had a great team for the move with Anatoli's crew) and a apartment that had all the furniture and boxes in the proper place before they left our property. If Yelp had an option for more than 5 stars I would give it! Thank you soo much Anatoli and Ivan! You made my day moving very easy, stress-free, with a smile. I didnt think that can be so easy with the guys from Adept moving. Customer service is great! I love Adept Moving! Thank you guys! I think, this is the best moving comany in Los Angeles! I have not been using and referring Adept moving for over 12 years. As a realtor my clients always come to me for referrals, adapt moving and storage is one of the very few companies that I can confidently refer to my clients in fact in the last 12 years they have literally moved 99% of my clients and they all have all been very very happy with them. Not only they are absolutely the lowest price professional moving company in SoCal, but they're absolutely the Best, they always arrive on time they always have all the tools needed for the moving, from blankets to boxes to shrink wrap, Free yes of their wardrobe Boxes. In well over a hundred moves that I've been involved or president I have never missed anything they always very very carefully and meticulously wrap things before they take it out of your house to protect them. I highly recommend to pay the extra fee for the shrink wrap specially if you doing a long-distance move or going to a storage facility it will keep things clean. I have meet multiple different crews, But they all have been great. I have personally used them four times they just did my last move on November 21st. For this move I requested only two movers as I was only moving half of my stuff. The crew that showed up were, Anatoli and Vitali. These guys were absolutely great they showed up on time, they were very friendly and nice, and got to work right away, they carefully wrapped all my stuff with shrink wrap and blankets, they had to go up and down the elevator and walk across the garage to the gate for each load, they work hard and fast but always careful with my antique furniture and fragile items. They did not stop to rest until they were finished moving my stuff. I have a second phase of move in a week and I will for sure request Anatoli and Vitali again. I used Adept Moving company this weekend and was really pleased with the experience. First a note on rates: Adept's rates were lower than other well-ranked movers on Yelp in LA, so I was a little worried that I would be upcharged for things I was not aware of, or that service might not be good. But actually the rates were quoted were exactly what I paid with no hidden nonsense. Note that the $59/hr rate shown on the thumbnail photo is just for two movers, and depending on the size of your mover you will need more (we had 3 movers), and that was fine because all of this was quoted up front. So the ethics of the company are solid. Secondly, although they gave me a 1 hr arrival window - they arrived 20 minutes early (which I prefer than being late!) and got to work right away. I was impressed with the strength and speed of the crew and they wrapped and prepped things really well - and left no damage to walls either at the 'from ' address or the 'to' address. They guys were all business and didnt stop until the job was done about 8 hours later. We even offered them lunch - but they declined and keep cranking! I would use these guys again in a heartbeat and think they are amazing. One thing I do recommend is a) our move was smooth because we packed almost everything ourselves - though I am sure they would have done a good job on this as well), b) we had lots of plastic wrap we had bought ourselves from U-line (www.uline.com). Adept has a charge to use their own wrap - so if you dont buy lots of it - you will want to understand their fee structure for this - we went through a lot of it - but everything was well-protected as a result. Anyway -they did everything they said they would, were professional, confirmed and communicated in a timely manner and were responsive via phone and email . Great stuff and thanks! read more

I have moved about 5 times in the past year, and have had experience with many moving companies. This was a local move within LA,so I called about 5 different companies for price comparison. Many of the companies in LA have costs to consider such as hourly rate and hourly minimum (usually 3-4 hours), sometimes truck rental, double drive time (which seems to be standard no matter what company), and some costs for packing supplies as needed. I had a great experience with Adept, getting a quick response from Daniel at the office. First we communicated through yelp messaging, then he sent me an email to confirm. When he wanted to clarify something I misunderstood in my email response, he called me directly to clarify. I received personalized text messages to confirm the day beforehand, and it was a smooth booking process. The day before my move, they also googled my home to plan out parking, which seemed pretty organized to me. On the day of the move, Ilia, Sasha/Alex, and Slavik were fantastic. They arrived early (!) but were happy to wait since I was just getting back from errands. I was moving from an apartment complex and offered to have them move their truck closer to my place, but they were considerate of other cars and people that needed to get around the truck. So they parked a little ways off and carried boxes and furniture farther distances without complaint and still very quickly. Once they started the move, they focused on the job and it was coordinated and efficient.They kept our move as close to the minimum time as possible, and did all of this very professionally. They work very hard and are serious about the job, but they are also friendly. All of the staff cared about doing a good job and it was a positive experience for me. I have used adept movers twice. They are extremly fast and very careful. I would absolutely use them again!!!Max, michael and nick was great and very professional. I decided to go with Adept Moving and Storage because of the reviews and Yelp deal. My experience was great! Our guys showed up on time, were super friendly and got to work right away. They took super good care of all of our stuff never took a break and we were so impressed and relieved that everything went just beautifully. If you need good movers that are dependable, won t overcharge you, threaten you, or take their time to run up the rate, choose this company. They are by far the most professional and effiecient I have ever seen. I was really impressed their hard work, positive attitude and willingness to help anyway they could. They are also extraordinarily strong. No scratches on our stuff and everything put exactly where we wanted it. We will be referring people to them. This company is solid. They do not mess around or waste time. I was impressed even with their driving. They did not try and take a round about way but went the most direct route. They were great at explaining what they were going to do and took very good care of all our boxes and especially our delicate furniture. It's great to see someone handling your stuff with care but not lagging it either. We have several pieces of nice furniture that we are really particular about and they brought blankets and shrink wrap to protect each piece before even moving it. They disassembled our beds in record time and had everything loaded into the new house. We didn't have to lift a finger and they didn't so much as ding a doorway while moving stuff. Andrey and Dima were fantastic!! This is by far the smoothest moving experience I have ever had, and I have moved between 6 cities during all of my training as a physician. Both gentlemen were courteous, professional, efficient and attentive to detail. They arrived on time, were very careful in handling all of my belongings, transported everything carefully, and worked quickly and diligently. I am grateful to both of them for making moving day easy, pleasant and stress free! I recommend Andrey and Dima to anyone looking to move. Other positive aspects of using this moving company included very honest, upfront pricing, both during my initial phone call and prior to the move itself. Pricing was reviewed immediately prior to the move by Andrey and Dima, there were no changes or adjustments from the initial estimate, and the final cost was exactly what I expected. Having moved many times in the past, I can say this is actually a rare case. During my move, both gentleman were very understanding about my schizophrenic cat, who split her time between hiding under the bed and having a mental breakdown. They were mindful of her presence, and I was not worried about her escaping at any point. I really appreciate their ability to accommodate for Meowzers, who despite her mental issues, is rather important to me. In addition to carrying all of my furniture upstairs [3rd floor], Andrey and Dima were kind enough to move my furniture around when I was deciding where to situate all the pieces. I've used this Moving company twice now for moves in the San Fernando Valley. The first experience with them was OK, yet my second experience was anything but disaster. I felt it necessary to warn others of what happened so it can hopefully be avoided. When signing on for a move, no matter how long or how short, be sure to ask about full insurance coverage or how you can obtain full insurance coverage. I will tell you why this may be important to you. During the move, the movers left the truck unattended while they came in for another load to my apartment (which will happen) and during the time the truck was unattended an individual jumped in the truck and stole my road bike. The movers did not tell me my bike was missing at all. I was taking inventory of everything that was delivered and had to run out to the truck to ask them about the bike before they left. I mean, isn't that a large item that you'd notice not in the truck (after you just placed it in the truck) and inform the customer right away?! After I ran out to the truck to catch the movers before they left, they told me to call the corporate office to file a claim and that's when I was told that I was only covered under the basic insurance (and mind you wasn't ever told about the option of having full coverage due to loss or damage of my items). Lady in the office said that lately they have lots of claims with the crew I was given. And foreman Oleg will be fired soon. After all this, there are lessons learned, yet please be mindful of what is being signed in your contract as it pertains to policies related to loss, theft, or damage. It may save you some headaches on the back end should anything happen to your possessions during a move. Choose ABC MOVING CENTER, PURE, NORTH STAR, SCORPION MOVING, anybody but them. read more

Called for movers in the morning and got a team the same day! As we all know, moving is a pain. All the time and packing. Yuck! Especially when you have a TON of stuff. After doing my research and calculating all the numbers of getting a uhaul truck and doing a self move, it was a no brainier that Adept Moving Company was the best way for me to go. I also compared rates with other companies, and this was still the best bet. On a Monday late morning, I called last minute and asked if anyone was available to help me move to a different city 2+ hours away. They promptly got together my moving team, Max and Sasha, and sent them over in just a few hours and a even few minutes earlier than promised! I was NOT disappointed. Max and Sasha were amazing. They worked swiftly and handled my items with care. They took zero breaks, even after I offered them water. They even helped me pack up some last minute stuff! The gentlemen were very professional and there was only minimal chatter about the work that needed to be done. After a long 5 hour day of loading and last minute packing, they drove over 3 hours with traffic and in rain to move me. Upon arrival, they promptly unloaded all my items very quickly and kept things neatly organized. No breaks. No food. I asked and insisted, but they insisted on working. All just to turn right back around and go another 2+ hours back to LA at MIDNIGHT! 3pm-12am from one city to another city in the cold, late at night, and in the rain!!! Max and Sasha, you guys are AMAZING!!! I can't say enough great things about you. Thank you for saving the day! I appreciate you sooooo much. Saw Adept recommended on Next Door. Then we saw all the great Yelp reviews, so we called. We called and booked an afternoon appointment. The guys called the day before and let us know they had a schedule change and could come to us in the morning. We booked it, so we could just get this done! Vitali & Anatoli came by and looked over what they had to move, went back to the truck and came in armed with what they needed to make this move happen. The one piece I was worried about was a larger couch, only a few months old. We have one flight of steps with a narrow passage toward the bottom. Every time we have had something large moved, it never fails, people will bump into the stucco wall. I always mention it to delivery guys. Well, Vitali & Anatoli wrapped that couch in moving blankets and shrink-wrap. So even if they happen to make contact on the wall, I felt better. I raced down the stairs to watch and the guys carried that heavy couch like it was light as balsa. AND, they didn't even come close to touching that evil stucco wall. Hooray! By the way they shrink wrap and moving blanket a bunch of the furniture and other items. You feel like they are wrapping and wrapping. In my mind was, "how many rolls am I going to pay for?" However, everything was snug. They handled everything with no problem. Placed everything where we wanted it at the new place. The guys were very efficient and did this whole job which included a 28 mile drive from our old place to new place in a very timely manner. Despite worrying about all the shrink wrap, etc, the total price was under $500 which I thought was fantastic. We made sure we gave the guys water during the day and decent tip to each guy. Moved yesterday using Adept Moving Company from Los Angeles to Long Beach. They were great. Competitive pricing (although overall a bit more than I wanted to spend to move), easy booking, friendly and professional staff. Up front about all costs (including the RIDICULOUS 'double time' drive time rates (a California state law apparently) and costs for supplies such as shrink wrap to wrap the furniture and mattress in) and made my move a lot easier than expected. Good moving company, costs just add up very quickly. I purchased the yelp deal (to save a whopping $15) and booked right away for my move (happening less than a week away). They texted me the day before to confirm my move, and I was all set. I had two men (Dmitriy and Sergey) help me move and they were great. They arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently and took great care of my belongings. Very friendly and hard working. Good attention to detail and very accurate about timing (they literally charge by the exact time, not rounding up) and additional fees. They even went the extra mile and switched the way my fridge door opened for me once I got to the new place. Great guys! Overall, Adept was well worth the money. The guys did all the heavy lifting, made me feel comfortable and cared for, and took it a step further to ensure I was happy. Great job boys! Only down side is the costs add up quickly and they will badger you to write a positive yelp review (don't get me wrong, ask once in person and its all good, even twice and its fine, but text me the next day too, like geez, I got it, I just moved, give me a second to breathe and I'll write you one).
