My friend & I had lunch at Aierloom Bakery last Thursday. It's such a quaint spot! We drove separately and I found street parking easily, but I imagine it's more difficult to park during peak hours and weekends. We sat inside, but there are a few tables outside as well. The staff were friendly and service was quick! I got the Crispy Goddess Sandwich with a side of Rosemary Potatoes. In my opinion, the sandwich doesn't look super appetizing, but it's full of flavor. The chicken wasn't too dry and the slaw was crisp. The rosemary potatoes were well-seasoned and filling. I ended up finishing the potatoes and packing home the remainder of the sandwich. The staff were so attentive; they brought out a to-go box before I even said anything. Overall, my friend and I had a good time catching-up and lunching at Aeirloom Bakery! What a find! We drove to Toluca Lake on a whim, thinking this was a cool bakery with a few sit-down spots for a simple breakfast. Nope! This is a full on restaurant, with lots of places to sit inside and out and a stupefying menu filled with vegetarian-friendly gourmet items. I just show one side of the menu -- there is a lunch side and a breakfast side, and you can select from either/both. There are a lot of things that list Niman bacon, but you can just opt to take that out. It would take me many visits to try everything I thought would be good. We all chose omelets and one person chose pancakes. The portions are large and every single ingredient was fresh, right from garden to table, it seemed. We opted for lattes, caramel, regular, brown sugar, and one that was choclatey. Nothing was cloyingly sweet, just smooth. Our server Ritch was perfect: professional, funny, friendly, and efficient. We should have had a reservation, as it turns out, but we only waited a few minutes to get a great table for four inside. Didn't see much in the way of bakery goods to take home -- just some croissants, so may you have to order things in advance from the kitchen. The atmosphere was bright, upbeat -- sunny day helped -- and spotlessly clean, floor, walls, ceilings (check out the clever sound attenuating squares), and windows. Maple & Mornings Café is such a lovely little spot -- warm, inviting, and a great place to unwind with brunch or a cup of coffee. I really appreciated that they had plenty of street parking nearby, which made things super convenient. The food was hands down the best part. I tried the Avocado Toast and their House Omelette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and for the price, it felt like a great value. Service overall was good -- our server was cheerful and checked on us often, though the front counter staff seemed a little distracted at times. It wasn't a big deal, but it did slightly affect the vibe. Still, the food and cozy atmosphere more than made up for it. Had a great time here! Pro tip, they do have a yelp waitlist--which is nice especially for our big party. We timed it perfectly bc once we got here for a Saturday lunch, our table was ready and set for us. Had a few things to share like the bread and friends and the blackberry crunch French toast which was amazing! I ended up ordering the Brie La La which was a great take on a Benedict. The staff was super nice and Diana was a sweet and wonderful server for our large party of 8 adults and 2 kids! The fresh orange juice is also yummmy!! Would love to come here again. Thank you Yelp for leading me to Aeirloom. We had the most enjoyable brunch. n a beautiful old white clapboard building. Inside the decor is calming and lovely. The owner, Benton, sat us and was charming and attentive. Our server gave us the kind of personal attention that made us feel like honored guests. Terrible customer service. I felt unwelcome as soon as I stepped inside. Multiple workers passed me without asking what I needed. I told someone behind the counter that I placed an online order for pickup. He merely said that it would be on the counter if it was ready. He didn't bother to ask for my name or anything about the order. I was confused since my order said it was ready for pickup 20 minutes before I got there. I then waited at the register for someone to help me. No one bothered to come even though I was standing there for 5 minutes. Mind you, the restaurant wasn't even full. There were a lot of empty tables inside so I'm not sure why no one was available. Finally, a worker came to the register and asked me to step aside while he rang up another customer. He completely ignored the fact that I was already there waiting. After the fact, he asked if I had been helped. He went to the back to check on my order but ended up not being able to find it. Someone else, presumably a manager, then came out to look at my receipt so that they could start working on my order. I asked why it wasn't ready when it clearly said it was ready for pickup. He went to the back and I'm assuming found the order because he came back out with it shortly after. There was no apology and no concern whatsoever. It was challenging to find the place because of the lack of signage. Street parking is available and gets busy on weekends. Signed in to wait 30 minutes for seating. We got outdoor seating along the street but didn't mind. Foods my group ordered: 1. Mexi-Yum Bowl - portion is fair and tastes fresh, healthy and satisfied the hunger. 2. Simply Southern - disappointed to not have tried the chicken with waffles because they ran out if waffles so pancake was the alternative. It was a different take on the chicken as well, it was served with pre cut slices of lightly breaded chicken breast instead. Flavor is good though which the syrup enhanced it way more. 3. Poached and Pink - smoked salmon on baguette which was an interesting flavor 4. Sunny Sandwich - scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato and guyere tasted great as well 5. Round and Rich - is a chocolate chip Pancake which is fluffy and tasty. Again, drizzled with their syrup enhanced the flavor even more Drinks: 1. Mango Sorbet - mimosas topped with mango sorbet is a great combo! Chef's kiss! 2. Raspberry Sorbet - mimosas topped with raspberry Sorbet didn't really intrigued my palate. 3. Let me preface that I am not a brunch person, but wow, this place changed my mind about that! My bf and I came here and were graciously welcomed by the owner? and his friendly staff. While waiting, I embarrassingly had my allergic sneeze attacks and was offered napkins for my nose by one of the female workers. Like wow, those small gestures say a lot! The ambiance is very cute and relaxing. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Bathroom was well kept. I ordered the sunny side sandwich and it was delicious! I love how fresh and tasty the ingredients are. I love my veggies so when I saw they were generous with the arugula, I became ecstatic! The bread was well toasted. The orange juice was very fresh as well so worth the $6 price. At first, I thought it would be a poured over OJ, but I think it was freshly made. Appreciated the pulp too. Price is appropriate for what you get. Parking is tight as there is a small lot in the back, but bakery is along the residential strip so another option is street parking. We had ordered pancakes and the vegetarian Benedict. They appear to have a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but it was full. Called in 2 days before a busy mother's day weekend to reserve a table for 12, and they accommodated us with no issue. Our party arrived at staggered times as expected, and we were seated comfortably. The brunch dishes and drinks were served in standard time and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. A homely, rustic atmosphere surrounded us as we celebrated our going-away party. Our toddler and young child were also free to roam around and play, which would normally draw the ire of staff and other customers, but in our case everyone was friendly. Too cute and quaint. The food was good, nothing above average, and that's better than bad. The plates were hot but the food wasn't. I had to ask melted butter evenfor the pancake. We arrived at 9 am on Saturday. It wasn't crowded. Outside has umbrellas and tables seat four or less, and it's dog friendly. I love the cappuccino. Every mug was different and cute. We spent about $25 pp. For breakfast. Me: 1 PC, bacon ,eggs, rosemary potatoes and cappuccino. The chicken is sliced and put on the waffles. The service was great and fast. By 11 is was more crowded. This spot is perfect if you need a new place to take your besties for brunch-- I even saw a few people who were dining alone and reading books out on their front patio. It's really a great atmosphere, and the prices are shockingly low as well... it kind of felt like I got transported back to 2013 when I was reading the menu. However, I don't think I'd recommend this place to any vegans, mostly because I was super disappointed in my tacos, which just felt very plain and low-effort. Maybe I just ordered wrong? This use to be a French Restaurant that we used to frequent. We had breakfast here this morning and were really happy with what we had. The coffee was nice and strong. If you are not big eaters like us share. The dishes are a generous portion. We shared a great breakfast with Chocolate Pancake, great delicious sausages, Rosemary Potatoes, and English Muffin with egg, bacon, and cheese. The place is same as it was when it was the French restaurant. Serve was great too. We can't help but turn our heads to see what was being served. They all look really delicious.
