So far, this has to be the absolute worst mechanic experience I've ever had. I brought my car to the shop two weeks ago and still don't have it back. When they initially tried giving me my car back that Friday, it was filthy and had a random car part hanging out by the windshield wipers. It also drove worse than before. I returned the car the next day, voicing my concerns. That was over a week ago. They have supposedly been doing work to my vehicle without my knowledge or approval, with the main mechanic on vacation the entire week. It is my belief that I was sold on a transmission job, without anyone actually diagnosing the issue. So they are currently backpedaling, attempting to fix what was actually wrong with the vehicle, without keeping me informed of anything. Every time I speak to one of them, all they do is blow smoke up my ass. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT SHOP HERE. These folks have a big fat F with the BBB... Update: Octavio, who I've been back and forth with and who can't answer any of my questions contacted me at 5:35pm aka after business hours to try and dump the vehicle back on me in God knows what condition is currently in. This after having zero communication with me whatsoever regarding the condition of the vehicle, aside from "there were many issues". I'd say they were many issues that A. they caused or B. they ignored, because they never actually check the vehicles to see what's wrong with them before selling you on transmission work. Update.........after a year and a half tranny is still working perfectly in my 2005 GMC 2500. Great rebuild!

What a disaster. First had to wait a month to get the car fixed and when I finally did it wasn't done right. On top of that they drove it without permission for more than 500 miles. Took the car for an alignment and was told that the car had missing bolts. Not a professional shop and you will not get a quality job. read more

Went and got a second opinion and my transmission checked to also find out they never replaced the torque converter and now my car is making an unusual sound. The owners still have not tried to fix the problem or communicate because they know the job was not done. They cleared the codes enough to drive around for a couple weeks. They kept it for a month and a half because the warranty was about to be up so if anything went wrong they don't have to fix it. I have my receipt, a receipt for the codes that showed on my car after I was informed the job was done, I have text messages etc. I am a young single mom and this is my only means of transportation and I was taking advantage of. I do not recommend this Auto Shop AT ALL. I was almost in a multicar collision due to the transmission failing on me in the middle of a busy highway. My car could not go anywhere. read more

first time ever going to a shop to get something fixed and it was the absolute worst experience the guy didn't even say heels the owner when I first met him on top of that the truck never got fixed after going back four times . the only "good" they did was give me a Dodge Ram that The ac wasn't working in. I told him little 3 girls after going back to his shop to once again try to get fixed when I was telling him it was at 220 degrees he didn't care all he said was were closing sorry 20 mins before the shop is supposed to be closed . barely got home and boom tran fluid leaking everywhere mins you I have a f350 diesel not a light car to push. hands down worse place to go to read more

Never gave up on my mini van. Worked on it till it was running right again...at their expense cause this wasn't the normal transmission problem in mini van troubles. The absolute WORST NIGHTMARE ! Do not take your vehicle here. Do not do business with Affordable transmission. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Brought my vehicle to them for a transmission change back in January 2023. Car kept giving problems after transmission change brought back to them last month , June 2023 and today is July 27th and my car is still at their shop. No COMMUNICATION whatsoever. I've had to constantly reach out to one of the owners "Ocatvio" and that gets me nowhere. Extremely unprofessional doing business. With having to constantly follow-up (I'd give enough time in between communication because I do understand it can take some time) and time passes and zero communication from Affordable Transmission. I started coming this week Monday 7/24/23 to be exact, Octavio was actually in the office. He stated it would be ready before Friday 7/28/23. Today is Thursday 7/27/23 and the New Transmission is not even here yet. The WORST experience EVER. The transmission in my wife's 2012 Ford Escape dumped all of the hydraulic fluid on the driveway. It was her only means of transportation. I read all of the excellent reviews on Google for Affordable Transmission so I decided to give them a try. They arranged a free tow and inspected the SUV for free as well. The front seal had blown out and destroyed the pump and the torque converter. Bill gave me a phenomenal price and they completed the job within a few days on time. Purchased a rebuilt Transmission for a F250 SD at the West Palm Beach facility on Military a year ago. In July it started leaking fluid and I brought it in. Mechanic said the drain plug was loose. That's BS. I had already been under the vehicle and checked everything. The pan gasket was leaking. The mechanic then added more fluid even though it appeared to have too much, per the dip stick. Now, for the past 3 days I've attempted to have the gasket replaced. 1st day: I called and was told to bring it in first thing in the morning. 2nd day: Truck sat all day at Affordable Transmission shop without any info or work performed. I called later and was told to take it home because they "had to order the gasket". 3rd day: It sat in my driveway all day awaiting a response to bring it back. I called 3 x. Nothing. Last call I was told they needed to schedule getting it on a lift. WTF?? 4th day: tomorrow I'll see what happens but expectations are low. Conclusion: They don't want to fix it. Gaskets are readily available in most auto supply shops. This is a work truck. Without it I am stuck. read more

Than tested after repairs to ensure proper operation before being released back to me. They even do police cars, they are just that good. Ask for Bill. This place told me my transmission was bad when it wasn't. I brought my car in with an issue and left with the same issue. They fixed my transmission that wasn't even broken to begin with!! If they didn't know what was wrong with my car they should've said that rather than just taking money from me. My cars actual problem only costed 300 elsewhere, but they made me pay 3k for nothing. read more

My truck was there for a trans rebuild. When it was supposedly finished, I picked it up and found that it was driven by someone for personal use. There was food and syrup stains in the front and back seats. There was a brand new pair of Nike's stolen that were my 3 year old sons shoes. There were CD's missing, just to name a few items. Now, about the trans repair. The truck shook badly at times. Took it back. They had it for another week and seemed to fix that issue. Then the trans was leaking fluid from somewhere. Took it back again. Picked it back up supposedly fixed again. WRONG!!!! It still leaked. Took it back again. Now, a new manager there. Said they fired some techs for bad work, stealing, etc. He promised a fix this time. WRONG!!! It still leaks. I'll have it corrected somehow, but not there, as they do nothing but delay, lie, and rip you off. Don't worry though, as the owner will post some kind of reply trying to defend this negative review. if so, he's lying and I'll prove it. I'll keep an eye on the reviews here, and if there's a question of concern, I'll respond to whoever personally. There are plenty of trans places who I'm sure will do a much better, hassle free, theft free job for the same $$$$. Don't waste your money here. read more
