Food was good, Ambience was okay. Just a heads up, they do charge for every single person in your party (AYCE option) whether they're aged 1 or 100. Eating or not. My 1yr old was charged $11.55 & all he had was a bowl of rice lol Anyways, we did arrive an hour before closing or AYCE was done. Not too much people but I guess we brought the crowd because it got packed the second we sat down. Worker explained the AYCE menu & left us to be to get situated. We had ordered & everything started to come out accordingly. But I guess at one point they were backed up because they totally forgot my daughter's chicken wings. Eventually it came out after a long while... I really only loved the unagi portions they provide. Other sushi spots give a quarter of what they serve. You can definitely taste the wasabi in their spicy ahi or whatever seasoning they use that tastes just like it. Other than that everything else was good. Even their tempura, spicy ahi, with unagi sauce was surprisingly good. Tempura tasted fresh! Wish we took photos but we were starving and scarfed everything. Service could've been better! No offer for water refills. Constantly had to flag them down if we needed something. Even the music was a bit loud, an elderly lady across from us was getting annoyed bc the worker kept walking right past her and she kept trying to get his attention. Overall, it was an okay first time visit. read more

If it wasn't for the food, this review would have less than one star for the service alone. Every visit I have made has been progressively worse in service. On 27 May at 1921 hours, we ordered 2 sumo spicy ahi bowls to go and waited outside because it was crowded inside. After about 15 minutes we went back inside to pick up our food, but the cashier who took the order couldn't find it! Another employee told her she had forgotten to put in the order. Instead of apologizing and expediting our food, they acted like they didn't make a mistake- as if we inconvenienced them. We waited 20 more minutes before we received our food. The food is their only saving grace, but aloha should be a priority. read more

Came here again after trying the AYCE and got a sizzling special and it was way over cooked. It was cooked to the point there was no taste and had to let it soak in the soy/garlic sauce to try and rehydrate it. Won't be buying the sizzling special again. read more

I was craving for pickled mango and remembered that I seen some at their Kapalama location. So I decided to check this place out to see if they had some also. Unfortunately they did not have pickled mango but they had some other goodies. I ended up getting their cucumber kimchee, taegu, ocean seaweed salad, and the "Broke da mouth". They all tasted so ONO!! The pleasant young gentleman who welcomed us had informed us that they usually do have pickled mango but was not stocked today. He did let us know when I should check back to see if they have pickled mango so you bet I will be back! And even if they still don't have pickled mango, I will be picking up another "Broke da mouth" !! read more

First time, a little pricier but it's fresh fish! Had sumo bowl special, hubby had sushi. Both came with miso soup. Bowls & boxes have option of white, sushi or brown rice - yeah. If you ever been to the OG one at fort street mall in downtown this is the same they get all their fish fresh from the auction and the variety you can get has so many choices for starch or salad and even some delicious miso soup. Got the bento with ikura and ahi, it was so good the ordering was efficient and a reasonable amount of waiting since they didn't really have to cook it (raw). read more

Wanted to try this new spot. Had a party to go to and didn't wanna go empty handed. Debated on what to get so I guess I'll have to go back and do another review. So here's to our first choice option : 1) aburi platter It was a hit everyone loved it. So yummy. Was across the street golfing and when we left the parking lot placed the order on the app App was so convenient and easy to navigate. Funny story as this was my first time and didn't wanna disappoint my family ordered an extra aburi salmon and aburi hamachi. Yummmmmmmmmmmmy! Fresh and Yum! The only issue as to why I didn't give a 5 star is because on the app when I chose get direction it brought me across the street from the Prince Golf Course into the housing area ! I was like WTH is it a house business. Had to look at the pictures and make a uturn and found the spot . Definitely will be back read more

I thought this location was going to be like the one in ala moana, like a dine in experience with a grab and go situation but it wasn't. my favorite is the cali roll with the spicy minced ahi but they did not have it so i ended up getting their sumo bowl , and it was huge but it was so tasteless? like you needed to put a ton of shoyuu to make it taste good. It did not have any flavor. I got this like tray they had and it felt like they were trying too hard to make it like a local plate, the stuff they had out like in ala moana is great like a grab and go. I did go right when they opened, so it didn't feel like they had an organized system at the moment, it was pretty busy and its so awkward in there people are eating in and there are people just finding a spot to even stand in to wait for their take out order, then there's people wanting to start an order but you couldn't tell if someone was waiting for their order or wanting to start an order. parking wise its in the shopping center where safeway & ross is located in ewa beach so you'll definitely find a parking spot. overall i would like to try they AYCE but initially i was disappointed because they didn't have the one thing i really wanted, which they should add hehe. read more

Maybe some stuff they have is decently price due to inflation but $7 for 2 thin cut of hamachi nigiri is total rip-off. Same with the salmon that's $5 I think. Went there for the wife craving for spicy Ahi and got her the Sumo spicy ahi with extra tobbiko and end up sharing the bowl, bowl is huge and enjoyable and that blue fin ottoro man wish I sat down inside I could of gone for 3 more rounds, cashier up front was helpful and cool kitchen staff always gave the shaka even tough busy to appreciate the customer. I highly suggest getting the sashimis over their pokes. Sashimi salad was fresh but the poke isn't. I'm assuming they think they can hide the discoloration when making poke with the old fish but I can see how old it was. You don't get miso with takeout but do with dine in. It's different with other locations. The service was quick though. It looked like a basic dining area, nothing fancy. I wouldn't recommend this place. Honestly, it's because their poke was a let down. read more

this place... i cannot with them. prior to going here, i checked their IG account to see if they're still offering the $10.99 spicy ahi bowl special. find out that they still got the special going on & 2 hours ago, they posted the hours as 9a-6p. it's 230p & i drive there, excited to see how huge this "sumo bowl" really is. then bam! they have a sign saying they sold out & are closed. noo! like you guys really can't post that on social media so we ain't gotta waste our time & gas?! i read previous reviews that they have done this before, closed early. ahi & vegetable, let's get it together now! do yourself a favor & call before you head down since they can't seem to stay open during their posted hours. read more

All you can eat sushi!! Sign me up. A few friends and I decided to try the all you can eat option on a Monday evening. Phew, get there early. We waited about 2 hours to be seated. The staff seamed a little overwhelmed with the amount of people but they pulled through. The reason for the 3 stars is the quality of their sushi. I would rank it near Genki Sushi for some but others, I would say is less than. For example, their spicy ahi seams puréed. You could barely taste the spicy ahi. Their shrimp tempura is very oily and mediocre. When the ahi sushi came out, some of the ahi slices were deep red, almost maroon colored. I wasn't a fan. Upside: It is BYOB. Yes, I know, we get what we paid for since the all you can eat only cost $38.99. I have heard great things about their other items on the menu so I may try them again. However, I would opt out of the all you can eat option. read more

Reminds me of Sushi Bay in terms of the food (spicy ahi bowl) that I ate. Workers were really upbeat and fast so good service. Sit down type restaurant similar to Yummy's, Panda Express, and the former Rainbows that was previously here. There's an $11 special for a Jumbo Spicy Ahi bowl for their grand opening! Update!!! I tried the other location in Kalihi and nope, NOT THE SAME! Their spicy Ahi was more spicy and it had a really strong taste of wasabi already in it! Ewa's one is waaaayy better shoots! read more

We were in Ewa looking for a late lunch and I remembered that ahi and vegetable had a new location. Totally exceeded my expectations and much better than the location that used to be open downtown. Miso soup was included if you dine in plus they gave us some hamachi poke for free. Food came out quickly. The sumo bowl was huge and I had to take half home for leftovers. Service was great. Plus the place was empty since we went around 3pm. Good lunch option if you're in Ewa! read more

Pretty good food. Mom had the grilled salmon which came with a garlic Shoyu ponzu type sauce which was really good. I had the spicy ahi sumo bowl with brown rice. Gotta say the spicy ahi is no joke. You definitely know it's spicy. Probably the best spicy I've had so far. We dined in and was gifted with some house poke. It was a combination of a red and white fish. Very tasty!! My husband wanted to try Ahi & Vegetable in Ewa, so we stopped by one afternoon. The restaurant seemed clean, which is always a plus. The menu had lots of options. My husband got their poke special and he really enjoyed it. I got the Garlic Ahi and was disappointed. I asked for the Ahi to be very well done, and it wasn't, and I asked for extra Furikake on my rice, and it just had a small sprinkle. I wish the fish had been cooked thoroughly because the flavor was awesome. They seemed to have a lot of young, possibly inexperienced employees, which may explain why my requests weren't fulfilled. I'm sure my husband would like to go back at some point, but I don't think I will. read more

The miso-based broth in the udon was delicious, and I appreciated that the shrimp tempura came on the side to stay crispy. My personal favorite, however, was the spicy tuna on top of the cone sushi--it paired perfectly with the udon. The prices are great, and I was happy to learn they have a second location on Kapiolani. Disappointing Experience with Unwelcoming Service AUGUST 7; LATE POST My family and I visited the sushi all-you-can-eat restaurant for the first time recently, and sadly, it didn't live up to our expectations. Despite the promising reviews about the food quality, our experience was marred by unwelcoming service and an uncomfortable atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find the restaurant not too crowded, allowing us to get seated quickly. However, the initial excitement quickly faded when we encountered an unenthusiastic and uninviting staff. The young employees seemed more interested in their conversations than in serving customers, leaving us feeling like an interruption rather than valued guests. Our initial interaction with the boy who greeted us set the tone for the evening. His lackluster and monotonous demeanor conveyed a sense of indifference, as if taking our order was a chore. When we sought guidance as first-timers, his curt explanation of the rules came across as dismissive. We were taken aback by his attitude, which unfortunately persisted throughout our visit. The food itself arrived relatively promptly during our first round, satisfying our initial hunger. While most dishes were enjoyable, the spicy ahi failed to impress. We've had better elsewhere. As we began considering a second order, we were abruptly informed by the same boy that we couldn't proceed until we finished every last bite on our plates. This embarrassing encounter highlighted a lack of tact and customer-centric approach. Our subsequent orders were met with lengthy waits, and we had to prompt staff for missing items. The delays seemed unjustified given the moderate number of patrons and staff on hand. Frustratingly, even our third order took an unacceptable amount of time to arrive, leading us to abandon any further rounds. To add to our dissatisfaction, the quality of service extended to the cashier as well. We were billed for a diet drink we never received, and while the issue was resolved, it underscored the overall unprofessionalism and inattention to customer satisfaction. Regrettably, we won't be returning to this establishment. The uncomfortable atmosphere and the rude and unfriendly demeanor of the staff overshadowed the food quality, which was merely passable with a few exceptions. The second round of poke was saltier and the fish appeared aged, causing us to question the freshness. In conclusion, this was the worst all-you-can-eat experience we've encountered. While we understand the need for rules, the lack of communication along with the attitude regarding the "eat-all-your-food" before ordering rule, combined with the 90-minute time limit, left a sour taste in our mouths. I recommend going to the Kalihi location instead. This place isn't good. They gave us items we didn't order, and when I pointed out that the ahi nigiri and ahi bowl weren't part of our order, the guy insisted, "You marked it on the sheet." I DID NOT--I even double-checked my order! Basically, we had no choice but to take it. I don't understand why he couldn't just take it back to the kitchen. In the end, we had to pay for it even though we didn't eat it! Feels like they're trying to scam customers here. They also charged us $6 per uneaten roll. We only had ONE piece of sushi left--just one!--and they still charged us. On top of that, they even tried to charge for a 1-year-old. Seriously?! Never coming back here. Our family of 5 went to the Ewa Beach location on the eve of 1/22/25. We each had the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu and was pleasantly surprised as there were lots of choices. The service was great and pretty quick considering we ordered a lot as our 'ohana loves sushi and Japanese food in general. The food was tasty and fresh. The only suggestion is that the salad comes out in a deep square dish, so I wasted 1/2 as it was a lot for (1) serving, whereas I could've split it as my husband also ordered a salad (it should be served in the miso soup sized bowl). They let you know in the beginning if there's a lot of "waste", you'll get charged extra; so I suggest to order what you want and go from there. Will return again when we're craving sushi! read more
