See these places popping up all over the place. I decided to try it while out and about with my coworker as she has been here before. I got the regular with two scoops, I got the spicy tuna and tuna luau. Added house sauce and toppings like crab, edamame, and fried onions. It was a pretty small bowl, but it surprisingly filled me up. There was nothing spectacular about the food, but it was good. I guess I can't really compare it to other poke bowls until I try a few other spots. Place was clean, service was fast, and the young lady working the cash register was very nice and friendly. I would probably come back eventually if I'm craving something different than the usual fast food places I frequent, but I have a hard time justifying paying $9.50 for such a small amount of food. read more

Today I tried my first poke bowl and it was AMAZING!! Me and bf always wanted to try this place but it always looked closed. It was empty when I went looked as if they just opened. However they were fast and efficient. The ingredients were fresh and many options. I got full off a regular size bowl and had some for later. I cant wait to go back! read more

One of the better choices for poke in the area. They offer small and large bowls only 2 scoops or 3 scoops. They also offer poke burritos as well. They have a number of choices for fish options. The one to try is the Tuna Luau. Its Tuna and avocado mixed together with their house sauce I think. It's my personal favorite. Also they are open later than other poke places. Weekdays it's open till 10 PM. read more

The weekend crew is pretty skimpy with the portions, asked for a 3 scoop and act as though the rice and proteins are coming out of their check. If I'm getting a three scoop I expect at least more than half a cup of rice. (The workers were all boys) read more

I can sea why this place is off the hook. OK, bad puns aside, Ahi Poke has some really solid poke to offer for a quick bite. The fish quality is pretty spot on for the price and I was surprisingly satisfied with the regular sized portion too. The fish that are already pre-marinated/mixed aren't overly salty either so don't fear those. The variety of toppings and multitude of sauces really lends itself to making a great bowl as well for those who like to bask in a sea of choices. read more

For $12, portion is very little for online to go order. We ordered the 2 scoops bowl with blazing salmon and spicy tuna. Felt like we would get more sushi on a traditional sushi roll then this bowl. Honestly doesn't even look like a full scoop. I've been to many poke places and this is our least favorite. read more

Came here for the first time last week, pretty decent food. I ended up getting the large with salad. Although it was tasty I will still hungry at the end. More salad please!! After they mixed it all together, all the pieces got hidden in the leaves, and the container did not look very full.. Overall though, it was quite tasty. I will probably be back :) read more

This place looked promising at first and good. But it's disgusting and very unsanitary. Everything basically gets crossed contaminated. They rush making bowls so all the ingredients are messy and they aren't filled they are basically scraping the bottom of the containers to finishing making a bowl. But let me tell you what it's disgusting I found a thick disgusting hair in my bowl and when I brought it to their attention they offered to make a new one and said the next one won't have hair! Really!!! Instead of checking the fish or throwing it out and refilling with fresh fish! So not sanitary!!!! I would never go back! I don't want nasty hair on my food!!! read more

Super happy with poke her. They give you real big portion and so many choices. They have these clear noodles that have no taste but I totally recommend getting them. It pairs really nicely with the sauces. I totally will come back when I'm in the area again. Ps the staff is super sweet. read more

This is a pretty decent poke place. It's conveniently located across the office for lunch or dinner. I like that it's kept very clean. It's also kept really cool and it feels really refreshing to get inside. I think poke or sushi places need to blast their AC because it gives customers the impression that their raw bar is fresh. The staff here are all pretty friendly and helpful. They are really efficient in helping you get to your base, protein, sides, sauces, and add-ons. The line can get long, but it moves pretty quickly. It also gives me confidence that others come back to this place so I know the fish is fresh. read more

I'm a frequent costumer at this place, food for me is good but small scoops. I was just disappointed about the fact that the last time we were there the lady that helped us dropped the packet of soy sauce on the floor then picked it up and still put it inside our to go bag, mind this, she even looked at us and still did it. Pretty good flavor and good customer service. The cost is a bit much. I can get more scoops at another spot for the same cost. I did like there was a big selection of toppings available. I had the house spicy sauce which was flavorful but could have a little more kick. Overall, good spot to satisfy my craving. read more

Poke is about the Fish, the main ingredient is fresh fish. Although the fish was fresh, their 2 & 3 scoop portion options left a lot to be desired. Most other places state 2 or 3 proteins but they give you a min of 2 scoops per protein. Here they say scoops and they mean it. 2 scoops for $11.49 is not that great. Besides that, sauces and brown rice were good. Not much more to it. Will only stop back if it's my only option and am not too hungry. read more

This place gives smaller portions for a higher price, so quality is expected. It's not here, that's why this is a 3-star restaurant. Generally, poke is really good, but this place is just okay. Their selection of sauces are from a choice of 6, but they're mostly spicy and/or have garlic, so I really only have 1 option: sweet sauce (no clue what that is exactly). I think this is one of the lesser satisfying poke restaurants I've been to. I even think the Tokyo Central's/Marukai's poke bowl is better than this place. $9.50+tax for a regular bowl with 2 scoops of fish. The bowl is slightly smaller than those bowls from nishin instant noodles. The ahipokirrito was the size of a smaller breakfast burrito, so not very filling for $9. AVACADO COSTS +$1 extra, so buy one from a store for $0.25 and add it yourself, since they only give you tiny slices of half an AVACADO. Some places give like nearly double the amount of food for a dollar less and with more options, so... I'm not returning. read more

Lawsuit waiting to happen !!! I went at 1:30 Let me break it down by categories for y'all ! The inside : - they are listed as Hawaiian style but it seemed a lot more like Japanese poke - the inside looked the exact same as chipotle for a second I was like "wait a minute " -don't come on a hot day cause there's pretty much no AC , at least when I went. Line: -There was only about 4 people ahead of me yet it took 15 minutes I watched my phone time. -AGAIN... 15minutes just for an assembly line. WTF!? - I understand if it's still technically the lunch hour but there wasn't a lot of orders ahead of me so that was so bizarre , it seemed as if they were short staffed Ordering aka lawsuit!!! -so you get up and order a regular or large regular is like $9 something and large is $12 something... way too overpriced btw. So you pick your protein , they even have tofu. So check it out ,this is the part that freaked me out ...you pick your protein then sauce then they pick up tongs that's been in water to then mix your poke with the sauce . You guys... I'm allergic to shrimp and I saw with my own eyes some one order shrimp and they use those tongs on non shrimp mixes as well!!! So me trying to live, asked them if they could use a different utensil and they did but dang how annoying is that to know they don't have a separate container for shellfish tongs. Other poke places I've gone to understand this danger and have the tongs that touch shrimp in a separate holding area . All I'm saying is this is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen. The taste: if you are a poke fan you will understand it's better to go to the poke spots either closer to the la fish market or near the beach cities , the fish tasted old and I have never paid that much just for poke. I will NEVER be back especially with their cross contamination practices read more

Not a happy customer this evening! I am a frequent customer to AhiPoki and for the most part I am usually satisfied with my purchase, however this evening my husband decided to order carry out and bring our order home since they were going to close in the next 30mins, they were only place nearby that was open. When he returned home, I come to find that the sides that we usually have with our poke bowls weren't available. He stated that most of the stainless bowls were empty, therefore my accompanying sides to my bowl were simply onions and cucumber, there was NO seaweed salad, NO radish, NO sprouts, and NO imitation crab. I seriously have a few cut up pieces of fish, some salad, and a side of ginger and two slices of jalapeños. read more

I recently discovered poke, and have been eating my way through some local eateries. When I passed by this place on my way home, I lamented over the fact that I never went to the pizza place that occupied it before but was excited about more poke. So the very next day I grabbed lunch there. I was initially disappointed with the prices, I could get more fish for my buck at some other places. However, that disappointment died down. It seemed the fish here was more fresh. The service was friendly and super welcoming. I look forward to eating here again, yeah it might be more pricey but I really think you can taste the difference in quality. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 - 9/100 AhiPoki is conveniently located in the adjacent plaza from Ikea and has plentiful parking available. The restaurant is very clean with a layout that is similar to Chipotle and the staff would allow me to taste test different things before I made my selections. I got a regular bowl of white rice with two scoops of tuna luau (diced ahi tuna mixed in with avocado, onions, and garlic soy). I also added the house sauce and wasabi citrus for a more in-depth flavor along with a ton of add-on's. Guava tropical drink was tasty too! Overall, I highly recommend this poke joint because ingredients were fresh and portions were generous. read more

I came in tonight around 20 mins before closing and I was looking forward to tuna luau but unfortunately they were out... Carissa helped me out tonight and before I ordered my bowl she had made me aware that they were very limited on their fish for the rest of the night due to a busier evening and she also explained to me they were no longer preparing fish... I understood but I wasn't interested in the few fish that they were serving. But right when I was going to leave she called me back in and said "everyone keeps leaving me because of our fish options, please come back" I thought that was sweet of her.. so of course I came back and she seared my shrimp for me and made me luau with the little bit of tuna they had left (just without the avocado)... thank you for calling me back in!! I would of regretted it if you didn't... outstanding service to her tonight for doing her best to making sure I was happy. I will definitely be back for her to serve me! AkiPoke is located in a bustling plaza near Ikea in West Covina, offering a modern and friendly atmosphere. Their poke bowls come with the option of 2 or 3 scoops, with 3 scoops priced at $16.50. One of the cool perks is that you can add extra scoops for $2.50 each, which is what I did--I went for 4 scoops. I ordered a half-salad, half-rice base, and the rice was fresh and fragrant. I chose 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 2 scoops of spicy salmon, and both were delicious. Their sauces, like the spicy house and garlic sauce, are lighter than cream-based sauces, but still pack a lot of flavor. The toppings were standard for poke places, but everything was very fresh. They also offer warm bowls with grilled salmon or chicken if you're in the mood for something different. Overall, it was a great experience with fresh ingredients and good service. Lol to the person who claimed that the workers there are racist for protecting themselves during a pandemic is delusional. This locations employees are extremely kind and great people, I would know because I'm a regular here. The food is amazing and the main reason why I choose this location over others is mainly because of how warm the welcome is when I arrive because they know me well. I've seen them give the same attitude to other regulars as well. As long as you're kind, they're kind. Definitely one of the better poke locations, and I highly recommend giving it a try. The food here is always consistent, good and fresh. The staff, the young lady serving the toppings had a great smile and was very friendly. The fellow taking the order seemed halfway there. I said no rice just spring mix, ok. He asked what protein did I want I said tuna, he asked again what protein did I want I said tuna, again he asked what protein did I want I said for the third time holding up three fingers tuna he replied you want 3 scoops. Workers were rude and in a rush. When I asked what was in their sauces no one knew. The young girl made a rude face when I asked what was in their sauces. The rest of the workers seemed like they couldn't understand what I was asking. They rushed me along like my questions were unreasonable but again they had no idea what was in the sauce. There is no where listed in the store or online what is in the sauces. I have an allergy but they don't have any allergy list. Poor service and customer care. read more

One of my favorite go to Poki restaurants. The spring mix was crisp, no browning, edamame was superb & carriers are always sweet. Salmon was large and chunky, crab was very finely shredded!
