Long overdue review! This was my first time visiting this location. Lucky for us, we got seated immediately when we arrived. The ordering system is like any other AYCE sushi spot. You fill out the paper menu and give it to the waiter. Our waiter was friendly and was quick to take our order. Not only that, but our food came out quickly. The nigiri were very fresh and it was a crowd pleaser. Don't skip out on the appetizers! I know it'll get you full but we couldn't resist ordering since we wanted to try everything. Went back after about six months to see if things had improved. The food was actually quite good again. Cut well, good portions of rice, everything tasted fresh except for the cucumber salad which tasted pretty leftover. The music is still way too loud. Our server was rude, she was quite impatient with us, stressing the 945 last call. It was 840, and they close at ten, we have dined there at this time before without being warned of this repeatedly but i guess our server had somewhere to be after work and wanted to make sure we were following along. She was attentive enough but just flat out unkind. She also slammed my water refill down pretty hard at one point which she then offered an apology for...I won't say it felt insincere, but it certainly did seem a little forced. I still tipped this shining queen of the hospitality industry fairly well on the chance that this restaurant does tip sharing, the people preparing the food did well and they deserve it. We then went home satisfied enough. And then i woke up at 2am and threw up the majority of my meal. Maybe it was the cucumber salad, maybe it was sticky menus or the uncleaned soy sauce bottle we were given. Who is really to say. Another swing and a miss from a formerly terrific institution. It'd be cool if anybody from this company would offer any kind of response to this, but apparently you'd have to try making an actual complaint while still in the restaurant to get any real attention. Have always driven by this place and finally decided to try it. It was about a 30 minute wait for seating (they don't take reservations) on a Friday night at about 7:30pm. They have a wide variety of options with portions small enough so that you can try several different items. You have 3 rounds to order as many items as you desire. If you want a hand roll, you just write HR in the column. It's a 2 hour limit. One thing for sure, the pictures in the menu are not necessarily what the food comes out looking like. My girlfriend and I got around to trying it out and because she likes to get speciality rolls, the deal of "all you can eat" worked out in her favor mathematically. I kept things simple and enjoyed the veggie tempura, avocado and salmon rolls. They have a good deal, so if you are hungry, this spot is perfect. The rolls are great and the tempora was perfect. Came here with my friends after Sake2Me had closed down their waitlist, but honestly I don't regret it one bit. We had a great time here with their service and quality of fish! The AYCE Sushi price here is $42.99 for the regular menu options. I honestly think that's enough choices for that price. Food takes a bit to come out and comes out sporadically. Such a cool spot! I was quite pleased with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Clean and modern. They have a full sushi bar inside. We decided to do the All You Can Eat (AYCE) option. We ordered sashimi at first to test how good the quality of fish was, and determined it was good but not great. Once we realized the fish was not best served as sashimi, we moved onto rolls and that's where things really shown through! The rolls were delicious!! For AYCE they typically serve 4 pieces at a time which was the perfect serving portion for trying a little of everything! And most importantly: not too much rice!! I feel like most AYCE places try to make really large rolls with lots of rice. And the proportions here were perfect! (Better than most actually) Service was fantastic! There was always someone checking on us which was awesome. Such a fun birthday dinner and so glad we came here! New favorite AYCE sushi spot for sure! read more
