Had my air duct clean to a house I just bought. The work done was excellent. They clean and sanitized my vent. No hidden fees they tell you the price up front and what additional fees are needed depending on the number of vents you have. I had 5 extra vent so I knew the outcome. They will recommend additional stuff if needed but they do no hassle you to get it. They ask once and thats it. they thru in a free dryer vent cleaning which was needed badly they showed my the results. They left everything clean afterwards as well. The 2 young men that came and cleaned out the vents were very professional, and not only were they professional they were very clean. They cleaned up the mess, every time that the vent was finished. My nephew was asleep in his room, and they waited to clean that room until the very last. They cleaned the back bedrooms (except my nephews) then the front of the house, bathrooms, kitchen, etc, and then asked me to let my nephew know they had to clean that vent. I will hire them back every year to clean my vents. If I could give them 10 points, I would give them 10. My sister had gave me money that she owed, I left it sitting out (not thinking anything about it) she said to me later, your lucky those guys didn't take your money you left on the dresser. I scheduled service because my daughter had a cold/allergy/upper respiratory thing this winter that jut wouldn't completely go away- alot of coughing in the evening and morning. Every week, when I clean the house, I notice alot of dust and grime re-settled on surfaces, which is just a part of living in southern california, so thought it made sense to try cleaning vents that hadn't even been cleaned since central heat was installed about 8 years ago. I almost cancelled the service after reading online some opinions about how vent cleaning is unnecessary (and preferring to spend my money on fun things like going to dinner!) but I am so glad that I didn't. Rich and Beth showed up on time, explained everything to me and got right to work. They showed me the crud that was as coming out of the vents and literally caked on my furnace filter that was making my heater work really hard and poorly (and to be really loud). Then they sprayed a very mild freshener in the system when they were done. I hate ALL perfumes, so I was worried about that but I really couldn't smell it at all. They also gave me tips for venting/running the dryer to minimize indoor pollution, cleaned up after themselves and honored the deal I found online with NO upsell at all. Bottom line- my daughter stopped having that "crunky" cough almost immediately, my heater started working silently and more effectively and I am thrilled that we decided to do this. Casey came to my home today and cleaned by vents, dryer vent and replaced the dryer hose. I am absolutely delighted with the great service. This is a response to Ed Mack's response on 3-2 to my original post on 2-29. I have no reason to lie.I know nothing about his rating,reputation,or his company other than my communication with him prior to scheduling and reviews on Yelp.My review was focused on my interaction with his employees on a personal level and not in terms of them performing the job correctly.Yet his focus was on telling potential customers how great he and his company are since he is scared they will know the truth of what occurred.He ignored my accusations other then to state that," There were some bizarre accusations made here that can't be true." Bizarre yes,because the entire experience was just that in terms of the behavior of your employee. As for the truth,you state that you know what was said and you know what couldn't possibly have been said by them.Obviously this is a lie.You only know what they told you after the fact.If you had an open mind,wanted to improve and really did care,both about your customers and the employees you send out to service them,you would listen to the feedback I wrote.If the school called you and said your son was a bully,would you claim they are lying,have the facts wrong,because you couldn't bare to think otherwise?Or would you look at,ask,investigate,then punish,take action,and get help for,your kid if he was bullying others? Ignoring,justifying and changing the subject doesn't make the truth go away.You were not there!! Only your "top tech" as you referred to him,whose name you mentioned,and I think it was James but since he never introduced himself,I cant be positive,he and his assistant and I are the only ones who know the truth,not you,Mr Mack.Why don't you state his name so we all know or are you afraid to? His assistant was a very sweet,quiet,polite,and saw it all.When I said to him on their way out,"Thank you for being polite and respectful towards me" and said that ,"I had no problem you you",he looked at me and said,"Thank You" was a gentle kind voice and look in his eye.However just at that moment,Mr.Arrogant,control freak James yelled towards me and said,"Why are you talking to him,he works for me?" He acted like he owned him(the assistant) and this guy was his possession,and I had no right to speak to him.And yes I am now speaking in angry and critical terms with my words in this review because of all that has happened,but I never said anything derogatory towards him while here other then to ask him; "why he was speaking to me in a condescending manner?,why he couldn't just answer my questions without getting so mad?,why he was in such a rush?,and why was he was refusing to work along side the other guy as we initially agreed to before he arrive?" He blatantly refused to stay in the same room with his helper,specifically said that I was slowing him down,and getting in the way.He insisted he had to work in 2 rooms at once despite what was agreed upon prior.He continuously refused to wait til I could be near him in the area which he was cleaning,since I was concerned the curtains may pulled or dirtied by his ladder,because he was in a frenzy to hurry up,going in and out of 3 rooms at once.He seemed as though he could have been high or maybe this is his normal personality,but it certainly was not relaxed,professional,considerate,or easy for me to deal with.The process may be fine for some,who gave good reviews on here, but I specifically said ahead of time I wasn't comfortable working that way.I am disabled,elderly,and specified exactly who I wanted,someone patient,willing to answer questions,who would be ok with me watching,someone considerate not pushy. Yet your guy was the exact opposite. He most definitely said the words,"what,do you expect us to do,hold hands too when we are working in that small room together?" Why would I make that up Mr.Mack? It happened. Aside,from the constant complaining about me,about his time being wasted by me,him not working fast enough,not having time for my questions,being unwilling to do one room at a time,the most disturbing remark of all was when he walked over to me after hiding behind the hallway when I was leaving you a message and he said,"I have it all on tape,I've been videotaping you all this time!!!" I have no idea why he would do that but like I said,he behaved like a punk,like a kid who is spiteful,unapologetic,deceitful,stuck up,and most definitely not a professional.This Mr Ed Mack is illegal and unethical and there have been legal cases over videotaping customers in their home by hired workman.You refuse to admit to his actions or apologize for them,or state that you will do anything corrective instead you choose to defend this guy,knowing that he conducted himself in extremely unprofessional,harmful,and most of all an illegal manner.Your behavior and actions are now as bad as his.I have set up several security cameras outside my house so you can tell your beloved worker that he better never set foot on my property again. read more

I've used Air Duct Professionals twice and both times have been excellent. The first time was for dryer vent cleaning and the second was for air duct cleaning. All the technicians that came have been on time, polite, and respectful of our home. They explain what they are going to do before the work starts and the price is always what was originally quoted, never more and no attempts to upsell. They have all also been respectful of the fact that we have dogs, making sure to close the front door whenever they come in and out and even turning off the loud equipment a few times when our dog got nervous about it. I wish I remembered the names of the first two technicians we had because they were great, but for our second visit we had Sean and he was very pleasant to work with as well. I made both appointments with the owner and he was very patient with me, explaining their process and answering what I'm sure were silly questions from me. ADP was one of the first businesses I called after looking on the internet. When I called I was able to speak with Ed, the owner, and discuss what I was looking to have done. I needed the service performed closer to 5pm due to my work schedule and Ed informed me that normally they're done for the day at that time but to give him the opportunity to see what could be done. Ed called back the next day and said they'd be able to accommodate my schedule. When they arrived they were professional, explained the process, confirmed the number of vents to be cleaned and got to work. They were done in about 1 hour. After researching on the internet I chose Air Duct Professionals to clean out my air ducts. My house is over 3400 sq.ft. & the person I spoke with on the phone, Ed, told me what the cost should be. I was informed, up front, that since I had 2 separate heating/cooling systems & over 20 vents there would be additional charges. No problem because I heard this up front. The technician sent to my house was named Casey. The fact that he showed up 15 minutes early was a great surprise! He explained everything up front & after counting the vents, gave me the estimate. This guy was very careful not to cause any damage to both the vents and my ceiling. He did not rush himself & when he found it impossible to remove a few of the vents (due to my home builder's bad installation methods) he dropped my price to show that. This Company was amazing!!! Ed was super knowledgeable in effectively educating me on the steps and procedures as I was trying to schedule my appointment. Then on the appt day, James and his assistant came in and upon arrival were very professional, thorough and extremely detailed; they spent almost 2 hours at the home cleaning 8 air vents plus the dryer vent. I had gone thru a very bad experience with a prior company who specialized in carpet care and claimed that their air ducting was the best way; but it was like night and day from that company to this company. Air Duct Professionals untilized the RotoDent Brush Machine which is the best and most effective way to thoroughly clean all vents in the home versus the other company who utilized a teeny brush attached to a hand drill. I liked the fact that the owner of the business, Ed Mack, answers the phone himself and made himself very accessible by phone, texting, and email. He was very patient and thorough in the way he communicated. I also liked how he responded to each of the negative comments on Angie's List - that shows that he cares about providing good customer service. His technician, James, was professional and courteous. He called me on the morning scheduled to let me know he was going to arrive in an hour. We were informed by a home inspector that our HVAC unit was bringing in air from the outside without actually going to the roof to look at it, so we asked James to go on our roof to check to see if this was true. He went on the roof and confirmed that it was, and later sealed it up with tape without us asking him to do it -- we appreciated his thoughtfulness. I left to do errands while James cleaned our air ducts and exhaust fans at our request. He called to let me know he was going to be done in 20 minutes. When I returned, he showed me the dirt that was cleaned up by his equipment. I was a bit uncertain when only one tech showed up, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he performed the cleaning. It took about an hour and a half for 12 ducts in an empty home that we just purchased. i doubt that the ducts had ever been cleaned, because he had to empty his machine TWICE during the service. You'd be amazed at what can be found in the vents. Pennies, army men, a huge collection of crayons, even a wooden spoon, along with piles of other dust and debris. The tech was clean, quick, thorough and friendly. He showed me where to replace the furnace filter and explained how to clean the permenant filter that he put in. They use a sanitizer in the ducts that left the house smelling fresh. I purchase their deal on Angie's list and that made the experience even sweeter. VERY affordable. Highly recommended. read more
