Salmon avocado roll Shrimp tempura roll and Spicy tuna roll

Excellent addition to the neighborhood and a must try if you like dumplings or sushi! They have an excellent lunch special where I was able to get 3 quality sushi rolls and a bowl of miso soup for $15. The staff is very friendly and everything we ate was delicious! It's slightly tucked away next to the Jackson Ave 7 train stop, but if you are in the neighborhood, I recommend stopping by. I look forward to future meals at Aja Dumplings!

So freaking good. Fresh and so tasty

Everything is so delicious. From the dumplings to every sushi roll. They take the time to make everything by hand. You can tell that each piece of your dish is hand made. I love eating here. One of my favorite new neighborhood restaurants to eat at. The staff is so nice and welcoming. They personally appreciate your patronage and treat you like family. Highly recommend.

Accommodating, quick and tasty if you need a basic dumpling fix, friendly staff. Have had better bao buns at lesser authentic places.

First time ordering from here and it did not disappoint. Their shrimp tempura is very tasty as as their pork dumplings.

We came for dim sum and stayed for lunch. I loved that the rice rolls were made only if someone ordered them. My fav is the shrimp rice roll. The shrimp rice crepe wrapped me in its warm embrace while the fresh shrimp was almost crunchy, steamed just right. The chicken feet will always be one of my favorite dishes, they marinate it well and it's usually very flavorful. Our seafood chow fun was very well made, fresh rice noodle with shrimp, scallops, squid and other seafood cooked just right. The chefs here are spot on every time in taste, texture and the degree to which everything should be cooked to perfection. It's always a joy to feast here for celebrations, family dinners and everything in-between. Two thumbs up! Ocean Bay Seafood Restaurant is definitely a hidden gem and consistently brings amazing comfort food to all who crave an exciting foodie adventure.

***This review is strictly for their banquet-style entrees, not dim sum***…read more THE FOOD ---------------- + Banquet-style platters were solid - Our group of 3 tables ordered the Five combination cold appetizers platter, Fried Tofu, Braised Fish Fin and Crab Meat Soup, Sliced Abalone with Mushrooms and Bok Choy, House Beef Short Rib with Broccoli, Lobster, Crab Fried Rice, Crispy Fried Chicken, Steamed Fish, Longevity Noodles were all decent. Highlights included: ++++ House Beef Short Rib with Broccoli - Meat was soooooo tender. It literally fell off of the giant bone in the middle. ++++ Steamed Fish - I wasn't sure what type of fish was ordered, but the fish was delicious. Fish sauce was tasty and the fish was silky smooth. ++++ Lobster - Can't go wrong here, although it wasn't the traditional Cantonese-style as it was drier, but, nevertheless, still excellent. THE SERVICE ------------------- = LIGHTNING FAST! Our entrees for our 3 table banquet came at a ridiculously furious pace. Before we could even pick up the community spoon to scoop food from the prior entree, the next one would come out. It was wayyyy, waaaaayyyy too quick. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + MASSIVE main dining room that is perfect for dim sum on weekends. + Private dining room - We sat in here for our small banquet. There were 4 large tables inside, but it was plenty spacious. - Valet only parking lot behind the restaurant was a nightmare and JAM packed, even on a Thursday afternoon at 12 PM. Can't imagine what it's like on a weekend during dim sum hours. Yikes! = The restaurant is located in a residential area, so you can potentially get lucky with a street parking space, albeit a few blocks away. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = There is a takeout area connected to the main restaurant. They sell dim sum, bakery pastries/buns and roast meats there.

Cash only - local tofu joint with so much freshly made product. The weekend special rice rolls (cheung fun) are freshly steamed and worth the wait - steamy and super silky. Make sure to sauce up your rolls before leaving because the entrance gets crowded due to the line. Do refrain from eating them too fast though because they come out piping hot. It's a tofu shop first, so there is no seating available for you to sit and eat. On the line, we saw many cars from local businesses in the area pull up to pick up buckets of tofu and 10 pound bags of bean sprouts. Beyond the weekend special steamed rice rolls, we could tell from the bustle that their other products are very popular with the neighborhood restaurants. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the flat rice noodles (Ho Fun) being made behind the steaming rice rolls section. I highly recommend trying their other products too - their tofu pudding blew us away with how silky it was. One of my friends came back the following week for more of their fresh soy milk (still warm in the bottle). Freshly made, this tofu shop is one of a kind and powers so many people and businesses with their delicious products. --- Note they are taking December off from selling their weekend only fresh rice noodles which I sincerely respect. Although I'll miss being able to pick up my weekend Elmhurst freshly steamed rice noodles, I appreciate they are giving themselves time to take a break.
