Went to try for lunch and it was really good, I definitely needed more dressing though. The man who must own this (I'm not sure, I see him there all the time manning the register) is wonderful. The woman in front of me was checking out and sent her salad back in the line because he said all of their salads should be filled to the brim. Honestly I can't even give a one star because the service I just had was unacceptable. I waited for 20 minutes and then after everyone in front of me got their food the gentleman asked me what did you order. Well then I asked if it was already made or was even started and got told I'm sorry we had alot of orders ahead of you but mine you the lady that paid for her meal before me got her food and then a lady that came after me got her food. I'm highly disappointed by the poor service I just received. This also was my first and last time going here for breakfast unfortunately. Should have a better system in place so people are not waiting this long. read more

The people working there were very pleasant but the food was awful. We ordered a build your own salad with roasted chicken and other veggies (nothing special or out of the ordinary). The taste of this salad tasted like I had licked a fish that had been laying out in the sun. It was inedible. I also ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich which looked like someone had thrown up on a piece of bread. It was in between hot and cold and moist and mushy. Also inedible. I really LOVE Ajamo. I've had a few of the salads, my favorite is the Chinese Chicken salad. One of the guys that works there recommended the Miso Vinaigrette AND the Thai peanut dressing with this salad and the combo works perfectly...definitely a must try! The veggies are crisp, everything tastes amazingly fresh and I've never, ever had a bad salad from this place. The line moves quickly, the employees are always pleasant and the food is good. I gave 5 stars because it's so tasty but I wanted to give 4 only because if you choose a salad that has shrimp/fish/steak in it the meat portions are rather small. However..,...because I've had nothing but great experiences here, Ajamo - you get cinco stars from me!! read more

I've been working downtown for about 5 years and this place is an absolute gift to the downtown lunch scene. Its tough to find a fast, healthy, and FRESH lunch around here. Other options just don't compare when it comes to salads...I usually end up with some weird fake grilled chicken and a stomach ache. Ajamo however, has got it down right. So many options for salad or sandwich combinations and all the ingredients are so fresh. I love that they have different options for greens including kale and arugula, an array cheeses, and vegetarian/meat-eater friendly options for proteins. Ajamo's chicken knocks it out of the park, it's super juicy and freshly shredded. Their dressings are homemade, not overly salty or loaded with preservatives. Everything just tastes right and like something you would want to make for yourself at home. The staff are all extremely friendly and you can tell they care about the product they put out. holy cow, Daily Special salad with strawberries, feta, edamame, avocado, fresh basil, cucumbers over romaine/ mixed greens, balsamic vinaigrette. I chose to also add lemon chicken (freshly shredded, hot and tasty.) This was probably the best salad I ever had - fresh ingredients, excellent tasting dressing. And of course the whole staff so pleasant and engaging. Do yourself a favor and get to Ajamo for lunch! read more

New place is State House Square. It is a salad bar where you can make your own salad or pick from the one of the list. I had a farm house salad which was really good, great fresh ingredients and not too much salad dressing. My only gripe would be the price. I mean $11 for a salad? That is a tad ridiculous and the portion was a little smaller than I would have liked. I was hungry two hours after I ate. Not sure that I will be back. read more

Absolutely impressed by this little gem! The staff were AMAZING! Super friendly and helpful. I had the Farmers Lunchbox salad - SO good! Very fresh and good quality ingredients. I saw they had a Black Angus & Bean Chili, but being gluten free I need to be careful with soups - so I asked if they used flour. The lovely woman went in the back to confirm whether or not I can have the soup. I'm so happy I could - it was delicious! Very mild but hardy. The gentleman at the register was an absolute pleasure!
