The staff were super friendly & the service was unexpectedly QUICK. Chicken Katsu Curry: the chicken was crisped to perfection. the whole dish was extremely rich & flavorful. I was expecting more curry but it didn't ruin the dish. Bulgogi Gimbap: HUGE gimbap roll! the veggies tasted fresh & the bulgogi was seasoned well, a nice hint of spice. asked for a side of sriracha on the side & it really elevated the flavor (super spicy!). extremely filling & dangerously delicious. I wish more people knew about this place. It is truly a hidden gem. I will definitely be returning to try more menu items. If you're in the mood for good Korean food, COME HERE. The Sotteok-Sotteok is a skewered treat with sausage and crispy rice cake alternating with a few sauces. The chicken katsu was perfectly fried, nicely crispy, with the chicken being tender and juicy. The pork katsu was also perfectly fried and crispy. The curries came with the katsu plates and was delicious. Everything was really good and service was friendly. It's a small shop with about 6 tables that can seat 4 people at each. Cozy vibes, simple and aesthetic decor, and really yummy food.

Customer Service: 0/10 It was our first time here, and the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We ordered our food from a kiosk, and the young Asian lady working didn't even inform us that there was self-serve water or where to find to-go boxes; we had to figure it out ourselves and go ask. Worse, she completely ignored my daughter when she tried to ask a question, literally trying to make herself look busy even though she knew my daughter was speaking to her. During our meal, we noticed that while she completely ignored us, she actively greeted and thanked the other customers who came in after us. When we left, she was standing right at the cash register and completely ignored us again. It is incredibly disappointing to see an employee be so selective about who they want to greet and provide decent customer service to. Furthermore, whether she is part of the family that owns the place or not, her attire was entirely inappropriate for a work environment--she was wearing black-and-white checkered pajama pants with an oversized t-shirt. Professionalism and basic courtesy seem entirely missing here. Please do better. Food Review: * Cucumber Salad: Had no flavor. It was basically just sliced cucumber tossed with some sesame oil. I love cucumber salad, so this was a major disappointment. Rate: 0/10 * Chili Wonton: Super plain with literally no flavor. I love chili wontons, and these were completely tasteless. Imagine eating wontons with absolutely no seasoning. Rate: 0/10 * Chow Mein: This was okay--probably the best dish out of everything we ordered. Rate: 3/10 * Black & Gold Molten Lava Bun: It looked interesting with a sweet, glittering liquid gold filling inside, but it wasn't as good as it looked. While the bun was soft, the filling fell short. Rate: 2/10 * Shrimp & Pork Shaomai: Just okay. We've had much better elsewhere. The outside wraps were dried out and chewy. Rate: 3/10 Would I come again or recommend anyone who happens to be nearby: No. Go somewhere else.

Waitress gave us a few minutes to make our decision and our order was processed and receive within minutes. Our usual family of four was a family of three for the evening and this was the restaurant we chose. Boy did family member number four miss out! The service was impeccable from the moment that we walked in. That includes being greeted right away. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive and on top of the details. We ordered some pretty standard items off the menu to please everyone-vegetable chow mein, lemon chicken and pot stickers. Even though these might sound like boring dishes, they actually came out with such flair! The presentation on the dishes were gorgeous. They tasted amazing as well. I love the lighting of the restaurant. It gave it such a chill vibe. It's on a very busy street but you've never know it once you walk in it kind of feels like you are more tucked away in a smaller neighborhood.. I'm definitely looking forward to the next visit where I can try some more items like their Korean short ribs, I'd love to try some of their Curry's and a lot more of their chef specials!

I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.

Came here for dinner a couple of times, the first time I ordered the rainbow roll ($15) which is my barometer for sushi at restaurants. Decently sized, the fish was fresh and the roll was filling. Daughter ordered the ramen ($18) with the red option, which she enjoyed with the plethora of toppings. Dinner the second time, I got the teishoku set with salmon ($21). Two decently filets of salmon came with rice, miso soup, salad, deep fried egg roll and salad. You also get a choice of either croquette or chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was a highlight for me! I missed eating this savory custard when I used to live in Japan. Their version did not disappoint! This has spot has become a rotating staple for me and am looking forward to trying out more of their sushi rolls.

There were two other tables of folks when we got there around 5:30 and a few takeout orders came in while we were there. Only two people working, so I'm glad there wasn't a crowd! They managed perfectly well. We started with the chili edamame - it was delicious! Simple and tasty. My husband got the Udon noddle stir fry with chicken. It was really good! Not greasy or salty, just flavorful! Lots of fresh veggies and the noodle to meat/veg ratio was on the mark in my book! I got the chicken and prawn hibachi! So good!! It had a little too much sauce for me (even after asking for very light sauce), but that didn't stop me from enjoying it immensely! We had plenty left for lunch today and the best part - no congealed oil on either dish! I felt like it was a little pricey for three dishes ($57), but the portions were huge, so it covered two meals. We would definitely eat there again.
