Came early morning around 8am for a warm cup of oat latte, which was really nutty and comforting. The place can get super busy, but I was able to be productive here in the morning and there was ample seating. The perk about coming here early is that there's free parking before lunch time in this busy plaza. Usually my go-to drink is their New Orleans cold brew, less sweetened. Being a coffee queen, I had to check out Alchemist Coffee Project. I've heard of this spot from my hubby and just never gotten around to it. Until one day, we did! A friend showed me this spot and swears by the quality of the coffee. I personally come here for their mint matcha and the spam musubi bun. A ton of ktown people come to work here so it can get pretty packed when you try to find seating. However if you do end up snagging a spot, the atmosphere is pretty great. It's not quiet enough for hosting meetings though. Admin and solo work is the way to go. Pet friendly! You can def bring your dog and let them chill with you. Cute coffee shop located in downtown ! The coffee is pretty tasty, and had nice latte art to it. The location itself can get very crowded since it's very popular. The cashier/baristas are friendly! Parking can be tricky since it's in downtown. We parked alongside the street area, and it was metered. Which of course we were two minutes late, and ended up getting a parking ticket by LA city parking lol. Oh well, just be cautious parking is tough here! Parking: the parking lot is decent and there's always people coming in and out. So even if you don't find parking right away, I'd say you'd fine one in five minutes or so. Drink/Food Order: I ordered a vanilla latte, tiramisu latte, and a chicken pesto sandwich. Overall, I was pretty happy with my order as each one turned out well. The tiramisu latte was a sweet caffeinated drink with milk that was more of a dessert. Next time, I'll order something else just to try other things on their menu. As for the chicken pesto, it was very delicious from the salad on the side to the crunchiness of the bread. Seating Area: if you're looking for a study spot, this is a good place to go. If you're not trying to watch a zoom lecture, this place has high fast internet where you can get work done. I went during a fairly busy time, and the noise level was average so the music wasn't over powering people's voices and people were mostly focused on their work. There is plenty of seating as well but not that many outlets. This place also has one restroom that is kept clean and available to use for customers. The reg matcha latte was well sweetened but I wish the matcha was a bit stronger, overall it was pretty decent and I wouldn't mind ordering it again! My sister said her lavender matcha latte was good too but the matcha taste wasn't strong either and she mostly tasted lavender. I started off with their highly recommended Duo Latte which is a combo of espresso and milk tea. Perfect pour, perfect temp and just plain perfect. What was also recommended was the cold brew mojito which was such a delight and luckily I had that to go to keep my buzz flowing. To accompany my latte I ordered a couple of their eye teasing nibbles. First was the cheesecake fraise that had a nice vanilla and lemon mousse with that tasty strawberry insert. Ohhh Goodness! And to top it off was the Sophia, ohhh girl you had me ummm. This cafe is the smaller of the two, placed in a strip mall. The space has ample seating, lots of natural light, and plays good music at an unobtrusive volume. Their bakery case is fully stocked with goodies from Farmshop. On a recent visit, I tried their signature Matcha Forest, and found it to be sickly sweet. It was like drinking a cup of melted ice cream, which might be nice for dessert, but it was 9am. Their Misugaru Latte (grain milk and black sesame!) is much better. I like their coffee. I usually get an iced americano. I also get their blueberry muffin which is really good. I'm giving them a 2 star rating because of their customer service and disregard for it. I'm a student at Southwestern Law and sometimes I want something different than Starbucks so I come here. However, they make it difficult with their bad customer service to want to continue coming here. First, my buddy and I came here before class to get some coffee and pastries. My buddy asked the cashier if she had any dairy free pastries because he can't eat dairy and she said "I think these dairy free. They should be." So I asked, "is there a way to be sure?" And she responded "oh I'm sure they are. They're labeled." Made me wonder if she's just guessing at this point. Then, as we are waiting for our coffee, I see the cashier talking with her coworker (idk if it's the manager) about our order, so I walk towards the counter and ask if everything is ok, and she said "yea." Turns out the cashier charged my friend less for the muffin he got. So on our way out, the cashier tells him "hey, wait, I'm sorry. I charged you the wrong type of muffin. That one cost more, I need to charge you the difference." She stopped us on our way out to charge us a dollar off her mistake. Now yesterday, I go in and get an iced americano, the woman charged me $5 for a regular iced americano (I drink mines dark, no sweetener). As I was paying, I thought to myself "did she charge me for the large one?" I assumed she did. When I got my drink it was a regular sized americano, not the large one. I asked the male worker if his menu was recent and up to date, and he replied "yea it is." So I point out that I was charged 5$ for a regular sized American and their menu says it's 5$ for a L. Then he tells me "Oh I guess it's outdated then." So inconsistent, and they're basically just answering without even knowing, just like the cashier did with the muffin and now this. If it's $5, I don't mind, but just be honest or at least make an effort to look into the issue. The dude just disregarded the issue and walked away as if it was not a legitimate question. Funny how when they charged less, they made sure to stop someone before leaving the store and get their dollar back. But when they overcharge someone, or they are inconsistent, they seem to brush it off and disregard any error on their end. I wonder how many people they do this to? read more

Took it back and received a nonchalant sorry from a different staff member who was not the same one who recommended the pastry. It was a waste of $9 and it seemed like the business was not interested in doing anything to address the problems with the food. I don't necessarily expect a comp pastry or a refund; I understand if you are not able to do that. However, they didn't ask me what was wrong, they didn't even try to take feedback.
