I consider myself an LA poke aficionado and love trying new poke shops when they open up. I've been waiting for one to open close to work (I knew one would pop up eventually at the rate they're going) and this was close enough. While it was very good, it wasn't the best I've had in LA. At first impression, it was very clean and the staff was super friendly. They offer a nice variety of seafood options (tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, albacore, octopus, shrimp, scallops) and toppings as well. What stood out here was the sauces though! I loved the sauces. I went with a gangnam/yuzu ponzu/sesame oil mix and it was awesome! Not like other places when they say "the spicy shoyu or wasabi mayo is really spicy" and I feel zero spice, this gangnam sauce had a nice little kick to it! Everything was pretty great aside from a few minor changes I would prefer: 1) The chips were soooo salty (I did half chips/half white rice base). 2) The chunks of tuna and albacore were really big. I prefer them a little smaller, but that's just my personal opinion. 3) The avocado (shout out to free avocado with check in lol) was kind of hard and not very ripe. Other than those minor personal preferences, it was awesome and I was stuffed for the next 6 hours (which is pretty rare for me haha) off a large bowl (4 scoops of seafood). Great value for $13! I will definitely be a regular customer since I work only a mile away. No dedicated parking lot but there is plenty of street parking surrounding the store which is usually easy to grab :) read more

So, we couldn't wait for this place to open. Dropped by today for our 2 for 1 deal, and left hungry and totally disappointed. If you have a shell fish allergy, think before eating here. No guarantee available to assure separation, just the guy asking " do you have an epi pin"? Either put a sign up indicating you cannot guarantee shell fish separation if a patron has allergies, or consider making the effort to accommodate customers with this potentially deadly allergy. read more

Simple and efficient poke place. They got what you need - protein, veggies, sauce. Service was fast and friendly. The bowls look small but they pack it in there so I was FULL afterwards. I have a sensitive stomach and usually get a bad stomachache but the fish here seemed fresh as I didn't have to run to the bathroom afterwards LOL. This place has only been open for a week or so, but I am soooo glad that I looked again for a Poke place close by (6 min from WB). Great fish, fresh fish, awesome and friendly staff, ripe avocados and sweet mangos! Soon they will be honoring the Poke bar stamp card /loyalty program here too. On my way to a free lunch! Worth the trip and this is such a cute area. My husband and I eat paleo clean and it can be a challenge to find good, healthy choices when grabbing a quick bite. Standard strip-mall store front style place, which is fine 'cause this is not meant to be fine dining. There a few tables/chairs and counters inside, but not alot and it tends to be noisy when busy - which is pretty much all the time. Fresh, clean smelling place; a good thing since they serve raw fish. Go down the line, build your bowl (base + protein + flavor) add sides and toppings, pay the cashier and enjoy. Very reasonably priced (2 scoops of protein = $8.95) and the portion is large! Clean, fresh tasting fish and other ingredients. Easy in, easy out. Think it took us more time to find street parking than we spent getting the food. Not impressed with the multi-tasking cashier who handled money then turned around to assist with finishing off food orders. Other than that, thought this was great! read more

I am here to tell you that I am quite the connoisseur of raw fish. I probably have more mercury in my body than a thermometer. And i am here to tell you, this place is A grade raw fish. I have been going here since they opened a couple years back, and just coming back from there today, it hit me that I have not written a review yet! The bowls here are amazing ! The rice is always so perfectly cooked and sticky, the fish (ESPECIALLY SALMON AND TUNA) is so buttery and sweet, and the add ons are just more icing on the most decadent wedding cake you have ever tried! Not to mention the service is amazing as always!! Each and every worker has a great personality and seems to enjoy serving you! I have been to many Poke restaurants and by far this one is my favorite. Parkings can be challenging as it located near Porto's. Selection of Proteins are great and they will explain it to you if you have any questions. They used to have chairs and tables but I guess it's all bar tables now, unless you sit in front of the store at the bench. Very inexpensive and restaurant is always clean. They have a complimentary H2O. They have reward card with stamps and I think that's cool. Healthy choice. I love it!! read more

Decent poke. Parking can be found in the surrounding neighborhood and it's close enough to my workplace to satisfy my random poke craving. At lunch there can be a line but they keep the options well stocked and plentiful. A check-in on yelp yields you either free avocado or mango. I opt for my avocado on the side. They do offer to mix it in but I find that it makes everything look like it's covered in cream. Inside is clean and the people are nice. You can also get a loyalty card, but note that it cannot be used at the Eagle Rock or La Canada location. read more

So I was very excited to see this place opening up, just down the street from where I work. There are two places just like this near my house in Sherman Oaks, and I eat at one of them all the time, so I have a good deal of experience with this assembly line style serving model, which I call "Chipoke". It's a great, affordable healthy option and a welcome addition to the area. I decided to try All About Poke at lunch today, and it was pretty solid. Seeing as the owner is active on Yelp, I figured I would share a few thoughts here for him to see. 1. Avocado. No other poke place I've been to (at least 3-4) charges extra for it. The pricing of the medium is exactly the same as the other place I go to, but they don't charge for avocado. It's one of the "sides" that come with your bowl if you choose it. I know it's not the cheapest ingredient, but with every other place including it, it feels like it would be a better move to include a small portion as part of the bowl rather than charge for a larger portion. Maybe charge for an upgraded amount or something along those lines? 2. To go container is too small. The food portion was fine, I'm talking about the actual plastic container. I got 1/2 brown rice, and 1/2 salad as my base. The fish on top was warm when I got it back to work (5 min walk). Some of the salad was already soggy as well. When I put it all in another (bigger) bowl and mixed it all up it was a bit better. However if, let's say, I had gotten all rice and traveled any further, I'd have ended up with very warm, mushy fish and that sounds...not so appetizing. I appreciate the fact that the rice was fresh and warm, but smushed into that container, it doesn't really make sense. A slightly bigger to go container with some ventilation would solve that problem. 3. I had the "Gangnam" sauce, and it was pretty tasty. The only issue was with the amount. When just mixed with the fish and toppings the portion seems fine, but when mixed with the rice/salad etc, it wasn't nearly enough and the flavor just kind of faded away. Next time I'll ask for more. Also, why mix it in the paper containers? Seems more difficult for the staff and also wasteful. Every other place I've been to just has metal bowls. That seems like an easier, cost effective, and more environmentally friendly way to mix the fish/toppings/sauce. read more

Just got takeout today, Monday night and there were 3 ladies working. Wow, the staff here are so rude. Didn't know you needed a chip on your shoulder to scoop poke. I had a hankering for some poke one night and wasn't in my 'hood. So, not sure where to turn, I just threw "Poke" into Yelp and this place came up. Um...WTF is this magical fish jungle? It's amazing!! Tons of fish with your order, delicious selection of veggies and sides and toppings...and forget the toppings over here, fish over there, sauce on top and go...these guys TOSS (as it SHOULD be, in my opinion) all your business together with sauce FIRST, then put it on the rice/brown rice/salad, throw in the sides and let you pick amazing toppers like crispy onions, furikake, garlic...OMG. Heaven. My only complaint is there is no seating. At all. A bar you can stand at and some public benches outside. But who the hell cares? Be like a normal Angelino and crush it in your car! This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood here in Burbank where the selection is very limited; restaurants that are either unhealthy, mediocre, or just too busy. All About Poke delivers fresh food that is healthy and without the long wait. I am able to order my food and be out the door in less than 10 minutes - try doing that at the nearby Cuban-American restaurant on the corner! The ingredients are fresh, the price is reasonable, and the service is good. I will make sure to come here often because simply put, I dont want them going out of business. Poke bowls= Super fad right now. It's healthy, quick, and good. So of course I was excited to see this open 2 blocks down from my work. The one caveat I saw though was, their signage says: All About Poke Fresh Hawaiian Fusion. Up til this point, I've had Japanese style poke bowls (daichan), Hawaiian style poke, and these new trendy poke bowl pop ups that are served Chipotle style. The difference with Hawaiian style is the fish is marinated hours before it is served so it is rich in flavor, as opposed to these new pop-ups that pour the marinade of your choice as you go thru the Chipotle-style line. The difference in taste is night and day. But of course one is not customizable. To my disappointment, All About Poke is like all the other pop-ups where you choose your marinade and fish and it is just mixed together. Another disappointment was they do not offer Yellowtail. Its not the most popular choice in these pop-up shops, but this was the first store I have been to that did not offer it. Perhaps they will have a rotation of different proteins later. Aside from those 2 disappointments, the fish was fresh, the portions were big, staff was very nice, and the store was clean. I don't see why I wouldn't come back here considering the lack of competition in Burbank currently. read more

I loved all about poke! So many toppings and the proteins were super fresh! My favorite were the scallops! So freaking delish! Definitely a place to come back with more people. Only downside was that there was no sitting area. We went to eat there and we had to eat in front of the place on the sidewalk. And I couldn't even eat the wrong order because it had scallops on it and they make me itchy. Just discovered this place and wish I had sooner. It's like everything I love about sushi in one bowl for a good price. Super close, fast, easy and delicious. My 4 year old was even delighted by his bowl of rice, edamame, avocado, cucumber and mango. We will be back and probably soon! read more
