We had John at All Point Solutions replace a 10+ year old Takagi tankless water heater, and replace it with a Navien NPE-240A2. The former owners didn't use the proper filters and it hadn't been descaled, so would vibrate loud enough to hear throughout the entire house when the water flow requirement was high. John was very communicative during the estimate and leading up to / during the install, and did a great job. The prior owners had installed the Takagi in the attic so he provided options for both a replacement in the existing location as well as a new location in the garage. We went with the existing attic location for various reasons, and John did a great job with how best to run the exhaust and drip pipe to ensure it met code while also not disrupting the area we use for storage. So far the unit has been working great. My father also used him for a similar install of the same/similar unit. Would definitely use John again, and highly recommend him! read more

I was ​in the market to install a​n inside ​gas ​tankless water heater, ​and as everyone knows​, it isn't cheap so I started browsing Yelp to find the best plumbing company in order to be educated enough to make the right decision. ​I called a couple ​of plumbing companies to get quote​s ​f​or ​t​he tankless installation.​ Each time I had to take pictures just for a quote to ​switch from a regular inside gas water heater to ​an inside gas tankless water heater. When I called John nobody picked up, ​so I left a voicemail and John returned my call i​n less than an hour. John ​​couldn't make it ​for over 3 weeks but ​he was the ONLY company willing to stop by ​to look at my project. ​A​fter giving him a view of the project, John was able to give me a clear ​strategy for the work. John is my hero! He is an honest and competent plumber who successfully identified and resolved my hot water issue. Unlike other plumbers who wanted to replace my tankless water heater without finding the root cause, John took the time to listen and diagnose the problem. He discovered that the circulation pipe was crossing over to the cold line, causing the hot and cold water to mix due to a directional check valve issue. After fixing this, I now have hot water in my showers again, and John confirmed that my tankless water heater is still in good working condition, saving me thousands of dollars! I rarely write review on Yelp or any other sites, but what John has done is really impressive. Our old Navien NR-240A tankless water heater starts malfunctioning and has cold water sandwich issues, but after suffering 1.5 month back and forth terrible service from First American Home Warranty and without any progress, we finally had enough. My wife looked online and was recommended John as Navien specialist, after talking with us on the phone and understand what we have gone through (having a baby at home and does not have any hot water in the winter for 2 weeks plus), John offered to help fixing the existing unit to see if it can help mitigate, he came with all the components that are potentially needed (alert ! The plumbers from First American brought nothing), and immediately gained our trust with his expertise and deep understanding of the system. He tried to fixing components that could be problematic, we end up having to replace the unit (Thx First America for breaking it) Our original replacement service were originally scheduled on Wed, but John helped accommodate and after two hours, he came back with an assistant and kicked off the replacement work, he is super efficient, knowledgable and shared details of the new unit, and after two more hours, we have our hot water back !!!!!! He ended up arriving an hour early which is a great surprise when you need a plumber! We wanted to reroute some of the pipes of our Navien water heater in the garage. We contacted a few plumbers listed on Navien's website, one of them referred us to John and All-Point Solutions Plumbing. John stood out from the start because he was very responsive in communications unlike many contractors we've talked to. We are not familiar with tankless water heaters but John is always happy to explain things. After a couple of back and forth communications with John and our city office, we finally came up with a plan. We were impressed that John was every patient in discussing and adjusting the plan throughout the process. After we finalized the plan, John and his helper came and finished the job in less than half a day. I never leave reviews, but I feel that APS plumbing has definitely earned their 5 stars. After taking a lukewarm shower, I discovered a leak in the tankless water heating system. Of course it was New Year's Eve, and all the plumbing companies my husband and I called were off for vacation or simply stated "I've never heard of that system before." Finally, we called APS. They admitted up front that they had never worked with the brand we had, but that they were familiar with tankless systems, and were willing to come (on New Years Day) and diagnose the problem and give us a free quote. John showed up with another technician, and within a few minutes they had patched the leak and discovered that the water heating pump was not working quite right. To make a long story short, John was able to get a new part (even had it shipped overnight) and had the pump fixed and working. He even drew diagrams to explain how the tankless water system works. We have not had any issues with the water filtration system. We are very happy with it. On the other hand, in February 2012, our tankless water heater started leaking again.
