I was looking for a good Asian place between Logan and North of Boston and I found one. Great vibe at All Seasons, small but good draft selection and plenty of food choices. Whether your feeling Chinese, Vietnamese or Japanese, they seem to have it all and do it well. Everyone in the place had smiles on their faces. The food is not over the top, but the crispy ribs were an interesting spin on wings and the Drunken Noodle bowl was spot on. Good balance of heat, noodles, veg and proteins. The food was good, the service here leaves something to be desired. I have been meaning to come here for years and I finally made it here and honestly it took forever for the bartender to follow up. We sat with empty drinks for easily 20-30 minutes and it took FOREVER to place our order for dinner. When we did they failed to bring us everything we ordered but never came back to ask if everything was fine and THEN charged us for the missing item. We had to ask to correct the bill and to add to this when we asked for the bill it took EASILY 15 minutes for the bartender to bring the bill while he talked to a friend/Co-worker at the bar. All Seasons Table is a very cute date night spot. The bar was busy and they also has live jazz music playing when we came in. This place is clean, well decorated and has an upscale feeling to it. We ordered a smorgasbord of different foods... -Crispy ribs with chefs special sauce -Crispy calamari -Lobster roll -Mongolian beef -Baked scallop roll I wasn't a fan of the calamari because it was a big chunk of fried stuff with a small piece of calamari. The rest of the dishes were delicious. They have generous portions of food so I would be careful with ordering too much. I did also appreciate the amount of lobster they put on the sushi roll. The prices are very reasonable for this place. Although, we didn't order any drinks that night the bar was packed and the drinks looked well made. read more

I was craving Asian fusion so my wife found this place on Phantom Gourmet. It was worth every cent. There was a 20 minute wait on a Saturday night but it didn't last that long. We were able to get drinks relatively quickly considering the bar was packed. Had a few sips and the buzzer went off. We started with the Spicy Tuna app, miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. The tuna app was great. Essentially a ball of spicy tuna and tempura crunch covered with avocado. Salad was as good as a salad gets. Same with the soup. For main, I had the Chilean Sea Bass in ginger and scallions. BY FAR THE BEST SEA BASS I EVER HAD. Came with broccoli and rice. Wife had chicken teriyaki. Nothing special but not terrible. It is like they don't know what the words "ridiculously spicy" mean. I'm often in here for lunchtime takeout, and its never disappointing. However, it is very inconsistent. Some days its delicious, and I never want it to end, some days, its just okay. Nothing I have ever asked for spicy (no matter how many adverbs I put in front of it) has ever come out spicy. I want to feel like my lips are about to fall off spicy. The best I've gotten here is a slight runny nose on a cold day. Not to mention they will still give you a lunch portion at lunch less the extras, even when you ask for a dinner portion (I'm a big girl, the lunch portion isn't going to cut it) and will charge you the extra $5 for the dinner portion anyway. I've never had the sushi... for good reason. On more than one occasion, while waiting for my order, I've witnessed the Sushi Chef blow his nose, not wash his hands, and go back to making sushi. Umm gross. Overall? I keep going back. It is tasty no matter what. But if you want something specific, try somewhere else. I give 2.5 and I usually round up, but the sushi chef with bad hygiene grosses me out too much so they get a 2. read more

This place is so good that my wife and I decided to have our wedding dinner here. We are absolutely in love with it and it is easily our favorite restaurant. It's hard to find a place that hits all the high points, and it comes in a place you'd never expect. It's unassuming from the outside, but once you step in, it's all business. The decor is elegant and classy without being overt. There is a bar with wide-screen TVs off to the side that looks comfy but in no way obtrusive to the dining experience. The waitpeople are knowledgeable, very attentive and professional. They serve a variety of Asian cuisine from Chinese to Malaysian. In particular, we like the sushi. The food is quite good for this price range and we have yet to find a better value. You will leave not regretting your decision to eat here. read more

I am lowering my previous 4 star review because I've been there about 20 times since writing it and that hostess still doesn't acknowledge my existence. I stand there like an idiot while she checks her blackberry until she looks right through me with a thousand yard stare and leads me to a table. The food is still great, but I feel like a chump every time I go there. In fact, I think I won't go there anymore. i can spend my money somewhere else. That said, the people in other reviews who complained about the volume of the un-amplified background jazz group may want to consider the serious possibility that they are , in fact, old farts. It's acoustic jazz - musical wallpaper- it just barely even exists on the auditory plane.It couldn't possibly be any more unobtrusive. If it's too loud for you, you are way too snooty and refined for us to be friends, I'm afraid. read more

One of the best upscale sushi experiences I've had outside of Boston. The decor of the place looks belonging of the Back Bay, yet it is in Malden center amongst convenience stores and bars. The bar is very long. When we arrived, there was a wait for a table so we were able to get a seat at the bar instead, right in front of the sushi guys. Service was rolling fast through the whole evening. The waitress and sushi guys both worked well together to get our food out fast. Drink orders were taken immediately, then an amuse bouche of 4 small crab meat phyllo's were brought over. They rocked. We ordered shrimp tempura as an appetizer, it came with 2 long shrimp among lots of tempura veggies. Then for entrees we got a bunch of sushi a la carte and a sushi pizza that was highly recommended. I wasn't sure what to expect for the sushi pizza, I actually pictured a pizza with sushi, but what arrived were about 8 strips of sushi, on top of a tempura base, topped with peppers and Asian sauce. It was amazing. Highly recommended! The a ala carte sushi was excellent. They were out of toro but the I especially liked the yellow tail. Also, the amount of rice they use is very light. They don't use huge amounts of rice, so you can really taste the freshness of the sushi. Prices were very reasonable. The total before tip with drinks was only $66. Yes! During the meal, a jazz singer sang, while a band played with piano, cello and sax. It was awesome. I believe they do live music Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 8pm. The restaurant was very clean, even the bathroom was impeccable. I am so happy we found this place. We will certainly be back! If you go..try the sushi pizza. Your in for a treat! read more

You know it's suspicious when the only Asian people in an Asian restaurant is myself and the waiters. It's Malden, every third person on the street is Chinese! Now I'm all pro Asian fusion food and integrating it with other cuisines, but not if it means losing all the good flavors. It's a very pretty restaurant with a huge bar. I can see why all the white people like it. But the food is tasteless, under-seasoned, overpriced. My odd-colored roast duck entree was $19. C'mon, it's like 99 cents in Chinatown (which is a 10 min T over). Friend got miso salmon and fried calamari. Same story. I know you pay for the atmosphere too but c'mon. A beautiful, modern, upscale ambiance that makes me want to go for a date night! Very romantic and nice. We shared fantastic dumplings and a shrimp tempura roll. We gobbled up both, and I want to try their shrimp tempura on it's own: it was fantastically crispy! We ordered the chow fun and the drunken noodles. They are almost exactly the same dish, but the drunken noodles has a great kick and extra flavor that I preferred over the chow fun. Let me recommend the drunken noodles over the other dish! I would love to try the drinks (everyone had a good looking cocktail) and lots more dishes the next time I visit. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL and BAD SERViCE!! My sister in law made reservations for a party of 20. We showed up and ended up with a total of 23! They had to move us to a different room on the side where the bar was. The place was completely empty!!! Which I was happy because it was kind of private! Well, let me just start with this--- it took them 35mins to offer us a drink and actually took our orders before offering us a drink!! Not to mention we showed up at 6:00pm and didn't even begin to order our food until 7:15pm. We ordered appetizers and the waiter brought out all the together and did not know who was who! We had to sit at 3 desperate tables! He was just sooo unorganized!! We didn't get all our good and start eating until 8:00pm (total 2 hours waiting). So here's the catch... The restaurant was empty!! I watched 2 waiters and a manager sit at another table just hanging out while this one guy waited on this big party which, MADE NO SENSE!!!! And was totally UNPROFESSIONAL!! Also before we ordered we asked if each table could have separate bills so that it would be easier to see what everyone owes! But NO!!! The manager did NOT allow it!! So we stood around for 30 mins trying to figure out who owed what! COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT! All in all, the food was good!! BUT, service was the worse I ever witnessed!! Overall three and a half stars. I went here for my birthday dinner there were seven of us, reservations were made and my mother informed them it was my birthday. My brother and family had already been and they had nothing but wonderful experiences. My brother raved about their "sushi pizza" so of course we had to start off with that, it was delicious! It was composed of fried seaweed with a layer of their sticky rice adorned with fresh tuna, salmon, jalapenos, and drizzled with a spicy mayo. Props for presentation. We also opted for the calamari and the edamame, the edamame hat a nice spicy kick, they were addictive for sure. The calamari left a lot to be desired..... the batter was nice, crispy and salty, but there was basically no calamari inside just a tiny little piece.... so you're basically just eating fried batter. Two people at the table got hot and sour soup, I tried some and it was very good, nice balance between sweet and spicy, I myself got the miso soup and it was nice, your atypical soup. As for the entrees, I just wanted sushi, so we got a melange of about 7 different rolls, my bro picked them all out and I enjoyed each one. For the variety and quality, it was excellent bang for your buck. I agree with either the reviewers on the service aspect, they kinda snapped it. There were only a handful of patrons while we were eating/ordering yet the service was soooooooooo slow and they were not particularly friendly or pleasant. Everyone enjoyed their hot entrees, as follows: Pad thai, general Tsos shrimp, Hunan beef, and drunken noodles. I myself did not partake but all were well received, needless to say the overall meal was quite enjoyable. I DID NOT appreciate the fact that they were given notice about it being my birthday dinner and did absolutely nothing to accommodate my mother's request that they bring out something at the end of the meal. Nor did they even acknowledge that it was my birthday, so that was a major fail, mind you they didn't even give us enough fortune cookies for everyone at the table so my dad didn't end up getting one. Originally on Bolyston St, we perused the seafood fair and decided to head home to Malden, where we'd "settle" for something more in our price range. We enter All Seasons Table - it's her first time, my third and the place never ceases to amaze me. I was born and raised in Malden, and it's always been more of a homely type of city with diners and chains, not classy, swanky places with live jazz. That isn't to say we weren't incredibly pleased. It's like were high after dinner, but that might of been the plum wine and the fact that they served the oysters we craved. Might I add they're the best oysters I've ever had and were accompanied with a delicious, sweet fish sauce. So stupid good! For an entree, we split the mango shrimp - one mango half each, the perfect sharing size. (It's like they knew!) We polished off the evening with dessert - the tempura ginger ice cream. Everything was amazing! We could have walked out of the restaurant, died on Pleasant Street, and when our friends shared the bad news, they'd comfort each other knowing that our last meal was at All Seasons Table. read more

I'm not sure what this place is trying to be, but it appears to be succeeding... and that might be precisely why. Visited AST for the first time on 8/17/11 (a Wednesday night), and was impressed overall. Let's bring out the stereotypes to describe the experience. Stereotype 1: Any place that's "pan-asian" usually fails at doing anything exceptional because it tries to do too much. Not the case at AST: from my friend's thai-inspired pepper chicken and my distinctively korean kimchee stir-fry, to the mouthwateringly good looking sushi at the next table over, the food left nothing to be desired, and challenged my initial skepticism upon seeing the lengthy menu. Don't skip the appetizers here either: you know you've hit a creative asian restaurant, perhaps even worthy of the word "fusion," when they manage to do something creative with something as mundane as edamame; in this case, the spice was finger-licking good (and I NEVER lick my fingers in a restaurant ;o) Stereotype 2: Any ethnic restaurant that has a significant clientele of the same ethnicity as the restaurant's is a sure bet. This is a tricky stereotype to talk about, particularly in this case, but I've been to a number of places supporting this maxim, and I'm happy to say it's definitely the case at AST: I overheard plenty of japanese, mandarin, and korean; and all patrons in the space no matter the ethnicity seemed to be relishing their meals as much as we were. Just keep in mind that a person for example of japanese origin might not necessarily be there to eat japanese food. Stereotype 3: Pan-asian restaurants are all about the drinks. A funny stereotype, this one, and fortunately (or unfortunately) not true at AST. Their wine selection had a couple gaps that could easily be filled, and their cocktails didn't knock the ball out of the park or anything, but then again they more than made up for it with the food - the drinks were the least of our concerns (and in this writer's opinion, perhaps a bit overpriced considering the location). Be prepared to make reservations or wait, even on a weeknight, although the service seemed efficient during our particular visit. And be ok with a lackluster atmosphere. At least they didn't go for the kitschy/cliché polynesian look that so many pan-asian restaurants adopt by default... but the "modern" decor seems a bit forced, even if it does instill a feeling of cleanliness into the dining experience at AST. From the reviews of other yelpers, it looks like the live music nights are also something of an acquired taste. I'm nevertheless definitely looking forward to my next visit! read more

All Seasons Table has it all. Great food, excellent service, the live jazz was superb, I'm coming back without a doubt. I had the Golden Maki Roll, which was made perfectly. I shared a bunch of other rolls as well as the blue fin tuna sushi (raw fish on rice), which was very good. The appetizers, though greasy by nature, were not overwhelmingly greasy. We had the crab ragoon and a few other options. Their beer is fresh and priced rather well. $5 for a 16 oz. Sapporo. It tasted like it was from tap, which I've never seen before for Saporro. I didn't see a can anywhere, so I'm just assuming. Even their coffee was excellent. It's highly unlikely this place will let you down. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine. read more

Lunch specials are large sized portions and offer a better variety than dinner specials. Don't leave without some crab rangoon. The location is great for the both the casual or upscale diner. Been going here since it opened. It used to be a great place. But quality has gone down hill. Salmon and tuna sashimi were not good, maybe not fresh?. Aromatic beef was overly sweet, could not even eat it, as we normally would, as was the tofu eggplant. Really everything lacked flavor. And the music in the main dining room on a Saturday is unbearably loud!!! You can't even hear yourself think much less hear others speaking. This brand new restaurant opened yesterday, (21 April 2007), a friend and I decided to check it out, and we were pleasantly surprised. The first thing you notice is the red table with a western lion's claw table, that the menu's and business cards are stationed at. (Which The interior design is wonderful, the contrasting colours of red on the right side as well as the brown on the left, work wonderfully.) The black painted industrial exposed duct work are not really so much. The dishes are wonderfully presented, the appetizers are delectable. The very friendly and accommodating staff add to the uniqueness of this new restaurant, (Though it I classified it as being Chinese, it is Pan Asian) The dishes run, $12.00 and up, for this restaurant. If you visit this place, you'll notice that the very unique interior design is reminicant of a museum, (With alcoves containing various items, including bamboo vases and various replicas of Buddhist artifacts.) One thing that I personally thought took away from the decor was the two HDTV's that were on either side of the bar. Don't let the high class interior throw you, the dress for this restaurant is casual. read more

I am Chinese so I hate to pay for overpriced Asian food because honestly, Asian food should NEVER be expensive (unless you're paying for sushi). This place was good food and good service but I think it's overpriced. I've gotten the drunken noodles and at $11 before tax, that is almost double the price of Chinatown. It was pretty good but for that price, I'd expect more in terms of quantity (Sorry, that is the Asian in me). Pleasant Street in Malden is a pretty good representation of the strange puzzle that is Malden. There's townies flocking to the bars, work-a-day folks heading to the bank or the Dollar Store, and harmless teenage hoodies hanging on the church lawn. Now, in the middle of all of this is a new Asian fusion restaurant. All Seasons Table is sign of the clunking start of the gentrification of Malden. It's just a really nice place. Up front there's a snazzy bar, in the corner there's a baby grand, and extending to the back there's those crazy big planters with fancy moss in them. Our waitress was adorable and attentive, the service overall was fantastic. The food: nothing that really blew my socks off, but it was reliably good. Fusion places can be iffy, but I think AST is trying hard to get it right and it's showing. Edit - 12/13/07 - so I came here about a week ago and again it was pleasant and fun but not awe inspring. The place still looks amazing. The food is decent, but I wouldn't come here if I really wanted to have a top notch eating experience. I don't think I'm ordering the right things, bah. This is just about the sushi. We got... 5 rolls to split between the two of us. The presentation in the large plastic box (we got takeout) was quite pretty. We absolutely loved the Spicy Tuna Rolls. They're definitely different than what I'm used to expecting, but they were really quite good. We also enjoyed the Rising Sun roll. Basically, this review all turns on the All Seasons roll and the Philadelphia roll. I expected more from the All Seasons roll, a roll with tuna, cream cheese and mango slices. However, I never got the taste of the mango. Then, the Philadelphia roll just had this fishiness about it which the cucumber and cream cheese seemed not able to overcome. We'll try again, but this time I think we'll dine in. On another note, when we called to place our takeout order, the person on the phone gave us neither how long before we should come to pick up our order or how much the order cost. read more

The atmosphere is welcoming and our waitor came to our table to introduce himself as well as recommending dishes to us. The choice of music is fun and upbeat. Everything is decorated nicely! Anyways, we ordered a Roti Canai for appetizer, shirmp tempura, and the mango duck with eggplant! Mmmmmm the roti was deff my favorite and a must try. Usually my first thought with "Asian Fusion" is one ethnic style is bound to suck - usually the Sushi. Not so at All Seasons! The sushi here is awesome, and what a surprise in Malden. I've eaten here frequently since it's opening, and continue to pray for their success. This is hands down the best sushi I've ever had outside of the city. Great quality fish, frequent specialties (toro, live scallop, etc.), and the chef is creative and artistic. I highly advise ordering a standard package (sashimi meal, boat, etc.), and then just asking the chef to do whatever he wants. You'll be surprised and pleased with the results. And, yes, the Chinese here is also top quality. This would be a great place to take a date. The environment is upscale (and very feng shui), and the staff is professional. I went here on a Friday night with a group and it was extremely busy. Fortunately when we got there a table was being cleaned up and we were seated 5 mins after. The atmosphere was nice and I loved the live jazz music that was playing, it fit the restaurant nicely. Too bad we were seated on the other side of the restaurant so I wasn't able to watch the band play. The waitress was nice and helpful but the service was slow. The appetizer took over an half hour to come out and another 30 to 45 minutes for the main entree. For appetizer, we ordered the fried calamari, it was more boiled than fried but it wasn't bad. For the main course I had the Sushi Regular combo and I wasn't impressed at all by it. The sashimi was not fresh and it was lukewarm. For that quality, $18.95 was not worth it. I could get the same Sushi Regular combo for cheaper at a different restaurant and it would taste more fresh. I'm guessing that sushi is not exactly their specialty. I wanted to order some dessert but after the disappointing (and expensive) main entree, I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes or so for dessert. I would come back and give it another try just for the live jazz band but I would definitely order something else that is not sushi related. read more

A serious Malden gem, All Seasons Table would only be top-tops if it were slightly less expensive. The menu spans many woks* of Asian cuisine (*oh god, I hate myself). The Chinese food here is particularly devastating - Mongolian Beef, I'm looking at you. And the Chinese Hot & Sour soup is not to be missed. It rivals my absolute fave H&S soup from Great Chow in Quincy. So I'd been a few times for the Chinese - but during my last eyebrow waxing, my aesthetician and I were chatting about my hood and she mentioned an excellent sushi joint. "In Malden? Are you sure?" I inquired. "Yeah!" she was pretty pumped about it. "All Seasons Table. It was so worth it." I was skeptical, though I'm not sure why, cause everything I'd ever had there was so delightful. So one evening, me + my fella did some recon. Eat as Much Sushi as Possible. Mission: Accomplished. We ordered an assortment of makis and hand rolls and sashimi. The spicy tuna hand roll was criminal. Fella particularly enjoyed the tempura soft shell crab maki. Oh me. Oh my. It was gruesome. We racked up quite a bill. Was it worth it? Yes.
