Ingredients are very high quality and recipes are authentic. Because it's so close to the casino area some tables may be uncomfortable due to smoke so ask for a table on the side that's not facing the casino. read more

Service was excellent, we were not rushed and no one was cranky that we came in minutes before closing. The casual restaurant was beautifully decorated and could easily be classified as a fine dining establishment. The servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered a lasagne and a pistachio cannoli. The lasagna was amazing and more than enough for two people. It was richly made with pork meatballs, soft melt in your mouth beef and smoked mozzarella. Our first Vegas meal during this trip and that's because it was one of the few places that opened late and can fit us in. Popular place too! They mention this is a casual place, but menu prices are not as casual. We (party of 4) shared the following- Seafood pot - nice flavor broth with various seafood inside, plus a bread. They did give us the free bread in the beginning which wasn't that great, but it was better after dipping the bread inside this broth. Ribeye - med rare and it was pretty good! Nice size too, and they offer to slice it for us which was nice. Tender, flavorful for the most part. Great color in the center. One of our faves for the evening. It doesn't come with a side unfortunately, so we used this as an opportunity to add on a veggie- the asparagus. Branzino - not much special here. Comes with some tomato eggplant stuff, pretty standard. It was good, not overly dry. Skin wasn't crispy. Veal chop - one of the bigger dishes here. We practically treated this as a pizza. Sliced and served. Drinks- tried a pink sangria and it was pretty sweet. Had their version of an old fashion adjacent, and somehow that was sweet too. Decent and convenient spot, but not much really stood out for me other than its non casual prices despite us being told it's a super casual restaurant. read more

I had a few specific changes to my order and they were all so accommodating and friendly. Pretty sure we ordered most of the menu and none of us could fault an entire thing. Would have loved for the pizza crust to be thicker but that's a personal picky thing! For my main, I ordered the fillet (without lobster) and then a side of the brussel sprouts and spinach! The spinach was delicious - my boyfriend would agree. He ordered a pasta dish and absolutely devoured it. Clearly the food was very good! Another standout was the pull apart garlic bread. This review is strictly based off of my takeout experience. I decided to give my kid a break from her typical Asian cuisine and went ahead with Allegro for dinner. The menu offering is pretty impressive factoring in you being a carb/pasta lover like myself. Here you will find the traditional appetizers, an array of pastas, vegan dishes, and they even offer wood stone pizzas. The cocktails seem endless so feel free to pick your poison and the desserts menu will make it tough just to settle with one. With me being in a rush for my kid's dinner, I quickly settled with an order of the RIGATONI & MEATBALLS. Be advised that the wait is the toughest part but you kind of have to expect that when it comes to Vegas right? It'll be a good 45+ minute wait MINIMALLY!! So don't come here thinking it's gonna be prompt. Food: At $34 (pre tax + tip) the portion for the rigatoni and meatballs was good. This comes with two large, fist sized meatballs that weren't too dense. Flavoring was good and the pasta was al dente. Nothing to rave about but no complaints either. My only complaint is the need to call the restaurant to place orders for takeout as opposed to other establishments that allow for online ordering. I am being generous and giving this restaurant two stars because of the food only which was decent. The rest of the experience was unpleasant. I ate here for dinner with my wife and two younger children because the reviews said the food was good and it's proximity to the awakening show. Both of which are true. we had the margarita pizza and chicken parm. Service was on the slow side, our waiter checked in on us but not often and it was hard to get a drink. The primary reason for the subpar rating was our seating location. I'm not sure if it's because we had two younger children with us or it was random but we were seated approximately 10 feet away from the kitchen. The design is flawed having tables so close to the open kitchen for starters, I could feel the heat of the oven the entire time which was not pleasant. The bigger issue was an employee who was apparently in charge of food being ordered stands at the open kitchen and yells into kitchen. For two hours we had to listen to this guy yell "VIP margarita" "soup" and other various dishes. It made dinner unpleasant and kind of stressful. Let me start with the positive. The food was excellent I ordered the veal chop and my wife ordered the chicken parmigiana the entrees were cooked to perfection and the sauce was something to rave about. The food was brought out expeditiously and was hot when presented. Alas service is 90% of a restaurant experience. After the meal we were offered coffee and desert. My wife opted for the expresso and a dessert. Cream was requested for the expresso. The expresso was brought out without the cream. After 5 minutes or so my wife started drinking her expresso. The server came by and I asked if we could get the cream for the the expresso, The server blamed the food runner for having forgotten the cream. 10-15 minutes after our dessert order the table next to ours ordered dessert. Shortly thereafter they got their dessert while we continued to wait. Out server came by and I inquired about our dessert adding that we had tickets for a show. She claimed it would be right out, however I heard her calling out to the kitchen staff for our dessert, leaving the impression that the order was not been placed. By this time my wife had finished her coffee and we were going to be late if we continued to wait. I walked over to where the chef was and heard him calling out for our dessert at which point I asked for our bill so we could leave. I understand when restaurants get busy staff is overwhelmed and sometimes errors occur, however it would have been much more palatable if our waiter had been up front about the delays. I never look to get a comp under circumstances such as these and always refuse it, but they didn't even offer to comp the coffee!!! read more

Terrible Service & Manager Lacks Basic Hospitality Skills Had a really disappointing experience at Allegro in the Wynn. I came in a bit later to join my colleagues who were already seated. Despite half the restaurant being empty, the manager, Summer, refused to let me add a chair to the table, claiming it would block an emergency exit (it absolutely wouldn't). She insisted I sit at a separate table, which was completely unnecessary and inflexible. It's honestly baffling that someone so unwilling to accommodate guests is in a management role. Summer is simply not the right person for this job. hospitality requires common sense and a customer-first attitude, both of which were severely lacking. The food itself is nothing to rave about. The only reason people go here is because it's open late, and most of the time, empty. Check the Yelp ratings.they tell the real story. Skip this place if you have other options. read more

When the head chef asked what I needed, I simply said, "just an update on our pizza, please." He then came to our table, said it was ready but that he couldn't bring it over because "the server has to bring it," and suddenly shouted, "I'll get the manager". Then came Summer. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she made things worse. No apology, no effort to make things right--just an attitude. I even told her I wasn't asking for special treatment and accommodations, and I didn't care to speak to her, just wanted our damn food so we could leave. Apparently, unless you're dripping in diamonds and carrying a puppy on your shoulder, you're treated like nobody here. Our salads were brought out and a bit later we received our entrees. Several thought our pastas were a bit too al dente. I was very excited about my lumaconi pasta. However, it was just okay. While nothing was wrong with it, it wasn't a dish I would seek out again. At the end, they brought a birthday dessert for me. It was a tasty bite. The caesar salad was delicious and could be shared. The eggplant parmesan appetizer was 80% cheese, 20% eggplant. Not good unless you enjoy forkfuls of cheese and red sauce.
