Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.99) - "One of the best!!"
    Ian A.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.99). It's heavenly. It's one of the best in the SGV (or possibly all of Southern California). It's thick, yet it's juicy. The crust is thin but crackly. The ingredients screamed fresh! I LOVE Alamansor Grill (Alhambra)!!! I arrived at Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) on Friday (around 9:17AM). Parking is spacious. Its parking is shared with the golf course. Customers can order at Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) even if they're not playing golf. When I entered, Staff quickly welcomed me. Staff let me choose my own seat (inside or outside patio overlooking the golf range). I sat outside underneath an umbrella, and a friendly waitress eventually greeted me. Staff (receipt says Denise) is professional and friendly. Staff quickly answered my questions, and Staff worked hard. My food arrived in seven minutes and 36 seconds. As mentioned, I adored my Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.99). I selected my eggs to be scrambled. And I chose hash browns for the potatoes. It all had immaculate textures and flavors. The hash browns had an uncommon crisp crackle; the eggs tasted fresh & soft; the gravy is well-seasoned and light; and the chicken fried steak is hearty and huge! I felt taken aback by this Chicken Fried Steak's magnificence. This is my most requested breakfast dish at any breakfast diner... and out of many, many different breakfast spots, I'm humbled that the best one came from a restaurant at a f***ing golf course! I left Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) with a full stomach and a dumb smile. Regarding ambiance, Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) is clean and welcoming. There's an outside patio with a fresh airy breeze; the golfers are nearby, and customers can observe them playing. However, the only music is radio with commercials. The interior also has clean tables; there's also two large flat screen TVs showing the news or sports. Overall, I had a magical, delicious experience at Alamansor Grill (Alhambra). The food is affordable, filling, and cooked passionately. The chefs are very talented! If you love Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, this is a must-try! I am so happy!! 5 out of 5!! GO!!

What a great place for breakfast. I came at 745am Saturday to eat with my kiddo cuz he wanted pancakes and an omlette. Prices are great. Quality is good. Service pretty fast. There were 2 other parties there, probably to eat before playing golf. A great place to eat with your family before/ after playing at the park.

We met for a late breakfast/early lunch on Sunday. It was so nice to see our friends at the Grill. I ordered my signature breaky 2 eggs, hash browns and hot cakes. We also ordered the french toast breaky and a grilled chicken sandwich. Service was 10/10 as it always is!! Parking is a pain because it's a busy space. The vibe is always it because they are so awesome. THIS WILL ALWAYS be my #1 choice for an all American breakfast. The price is super affordable and the breakfast menu allows you to customize and add on all your favorites.

Came for breakfast and decided to sit outside because the view is so nice! Lovely place for outside seating as you get to see people golf and lots of birds. We got the menudo, huevos ranchuro, and waffles and they were all good! I like how they dont skimp out on meat in the menudo. Our server was also really nice and attentive and checked up on us often. Would definitely be back!

We tried this place on a whim and it was pretty good! The service was very attentive and fast. Nice ambience with a view of the golf course and the prices were decent too. Our food was hot and fresh and I appreciate that my omelette was nice and stuffed! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. :)

One of my favorite restaurants. I love their food, service and ambiance, everyone is really nice here and prices are average. We come at least twice a month, at least

I met some friends for breakfast here the other day. It's a nice little restaurant located at a golf course. I ordered the Chilaquiles Plate with red sauce, as the server mentioned that the red sauce was spicier than the green sauce. OMG!! It was super spicy! A friend of mine ordered the Chilaquiles Plate with green sauce, and she was literally sweating. Poor thing! So, if you like it super spicy, go for the red sauce! Another friend ordered the BLT, and she said it was really good. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was great. I will definitely go back again!

First time visiting, located next to the almansor golf course. Friendly service, affordable food with indoor & outdoor seating. The food came out quickly. My friend enjoyed the Chilaquiles Plate & I enjoyed the Build Your Own Burger with salad. Great place to eat, especially if you're playing golf & need a break!

Came for their Sunday Brunch buffet! It's good to make a reservation, but I found that the day I went there were still a good amount of empty tables, so probably also fine to walk in. As advertised, there's unlimited crab legs, prime ribs, and many more like cod, chicken, etc. There were 3 made to order stations - omelette, waffle, and pasta. One side was also very Mexican style focused, with menudo, chilaquiles, and beef fajitas. The interior is also very nice and well lit, with a great view of their golf course. I would recommend coming to Almansor's Sunday brunch for large family get togethers!

My first time trying Almansor Grill food. The clam chowder was so good and the Asian Salad was delicious. I need to try the other plates The service was wonderful very welcoming and friendly. I got to talk to Dolores and she was so sweet and explained some of the plates from the menu. The ambiance is peaceful you can have a nice lunch and chat or have a drink while seeing the nature outdoors. You can also sit outside. I would come back to tru the breakfast. Recommended it.

I haven't eaten here in ages, but had the pleasure of dining in on Easter Sunday morning and feasted on an omelette, hash browns, and some delicious French toasts! IMHO, this is one of the most affordable places to have brunch, and I miss being able to come here on weekends to enjoy a nice breakfast overlooking the golf course and Almansor Park.

Comfort food at a reasonable price. We came in on a Sunday after church with a party of 7. Service was quick and efficient. Food was good-no nonsense. We ordered hamburger with onion rings, chicken sandwich with fries, Rueben sandwich with fruit, nachos, 2 omelettes (one with bacon and sausage, the other one with mushrooms and onions) and a breakfast burrito. Prices for all entrees were around $10-$11. No complaints except that the Rueben was a bit salty.

The Legendary Chopped Cheese was definitely a highlight. The bread was fluffy and soft, and the meat was well-seasoned and flavorful. The ketchup and mayo combination reminded me of a thousand island-style sauce and added a nice creamy, tangy flavor to the sandwich. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito definitely didn't skimp on the fillings. It was packed with fluffy eggs, bacon, and crispy waffle fries. There was so much egg in this burrito that it was definitely a filling meal--and the waffle fries were a fun addition. The Chicken & Waffles were also delicious. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and well-seasoned, while the waffle was denser with a nice crispy exterior. I recommend adding maple syrup and hot sauce for that sweet-and-spicy combination. Overall, Monty's is a solid spot for anyone craving hearty comfort food with generous portions. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

I arrived in Alhambra one Sunday afternoon with the intention to hit 4 food spots to redeem free offers. They are part of the 24 participating restaurants in the food passport. I only got to two places and Popping Yolk Cafe (PYC) was one of them. PYC was number 6th stamp in my food passport! Free parking was easy at the Mosaic Parking Structure (4 hours limit). Very short walk from parking to restaurant. First time at PYC. I was lucky to get here thirty minutes prior to closing time. They specialize in breakfast and brunch only. Their free passport offer is 1 Benedict Entree or 1 French Toast Entree. Dine in only and no substitutions. Thanks PYC! Interior space was quite nice and vibey. Tables were clean. Ambiance was relaxing and cozy. Love the beautiful yellow decor! Plenty of inside seating with no exterior seating. Mia was the young lady staff who welcomed me with a friendly greeting and took my order. She was super nice, patient, and helpful. Other staff members were cordial and attentive. Thanks Mia and All! WOW, what a super amazing free food offer! I didn't hesitate and got the Avocado Benedict. Both eggs were perfectly poached. Avocado was just ripe. Ham slices were thick and tasty. Hollandaise sauce was rich and buttery with a bit of tangy taste. Just one small gripe, the english muffin did not appear to have been toasted. It was tough to cut through. Other than that, it was a fantastic benedict entree for a first timer like myself. I was feeling hungry so I also got an order of Ube French Toast and one Mango Green Tea (refillable). Another WOW, delicious house ube filling in a deep-fried toast topped with semi-sweet coconut flakes and fresh blueberries along with a drizzle of maple syrup and condensed milk. VERY YUMMY! This one is a winner! Mango green tea had deep tropical and tea flavors... nice drink! Menu has a great variety of egg benedicts and crunchy french toasts along with sandwiches, omelettes, burgers, crepes, waffles, pancakes, salad, and snacks. Prices were reasonable for the huge portions. Highly recommend! Love to return to try their other specialty breakfast and brunch items. I just need to get here early. Btw, besides Alhambra, they have two other locations... Pasadena and Hacienda Heights.

Worth the wait! I loved the variety of brunch dishes, some combinations that were rather unique and I hadn't seen before like a kimchi butter fried chicken eggs benedict. I got the Nashville fried chicken eggs benedict like it seems everyone does and it met the hype! The home fries were lightly crisped to perfection. The service was good as well, they came and refilled waters often. Our lychee sangria was pretty sweet but was really refreshing in this heat. Not too loud so you can have a nice chat with friends. There is free 4 hour parking in Lot 2 Parking Garage across the street.

The only thing was it was a tad bland for my taste but they have salt and pepper on the table to adjust to your liking. Apple Pie: The slice I thought was a flattie but a baddie. I had the following for dinner: For an appetizer, I had the spiced meatballs. They were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and had an amazing sauce. I also got to try the calamari, which was equally as incredible. For the entree, I had the bacon wrapped filet. Again, cooked to perfection and the taste was wonderful. The side was definitely not quite right. I got the garlic mashed potatoes. They were the most plain potatoes I have ever had. No garlic, no salt, no seasoning. I think they might have accidentally missed the seasoning. For dessert, I tried the bread pudding. It was good; however, I was expecting more from the dessert. Our server was on the face very nice; however, he also was very robotic in his responses. For example, he never let you finish your answer after he asked a question, before replying again and walking away. So overall, an excellent experience. I would return again and give it another try!
