Food was very delicious. Service was great. Got our food very fast. Will definitely be back again.

Kalua Pork. I added the Sriracha and soy sauce. Delicious!

Stopped in on my way home from work for an early dinner. Ordered the Kalua Pork with rice and Mac salad. OMG it was delicious! Some of the best I've had. Mac salad was excellent and the rice was cooked perfectly. You order at the counter and it was delivered in under 5 minutes. If I'm ever in this area again I will be back!

Love this place for great authentic Hawaiian food at a fair price. Every time I come here I get great customer service and the food is cooked perfectly, the Spam Musubi has a nice amount of sauce cooked into it and always has a nice crisp to it. The Garlic Shrimp is my go to but they have a great Kalua Pork, Tuna Poke Bowl, and Loco Moco!

Aloha to good Hawaiian food in the Renton area! This place has got all the classic Hawaiian comfort foods at a reasonable price. I tried the mochiko chicken but I'd like to come back and try all the other items on the menu. Food Mochiko chicken is one of my favorite ways of eating chicken and I always get it to gauge a Hawaiian restaurant. The chicken was juicy and in the perfect bite size. The outside was just a bit crispy, but personally I like it super crispy. I really liked the Mac salad though because it was not smothered in sauce and had good flavor to it still. There's a nice sauce area where you can put on as much other sauces like spicy mayo. Atmosphere Casual and laid back. There's some nice wall art of the Hawaiian islands and there's also outdoor seating for when it gets warmer outside. Pricing Reasonable and cheap prices for Hawaiian food compared to other restaurants that serve Hawaiian food. Service  Self service here so you'll have to bus your own tables, get your own water, and silverware. The staff here is super friendly and checked in on me halfway thru eating even. I didn't expect it but it was nice. Other Plenty of parking in front of this strip mall and is shared with other restaurants. And it's nearby IKEA too!

We happened upon this gem when we were looking for a spot to grab dinner on the run after and three hour escapade at IKEA! Glad we found our new go to! I haven't had a ton of Hawaiian food but they had what I did know about - Kalua pork and some Poké! Many do the dishes had some Asian flare, which made it all the more exciting! We got those two as well as some teriyaki (our six year old is a connoisseur of fine teriyaki!) and, our new favorite dish, Katsu loco! Everything was good and the Katsu loco was a cut above everything! A play (obviously) on the Moco Loco with Katsu chicken, eggs, gravy and rice. It was the perfect combo dish - excellent chicken, some creamy yolk and some gravy, that while likely from a packet, was just right! Four dishes for five of us left everyone full but not so stuffed that the kids didn't want bubble tea! We called it in and about 15 minutes later we were set. Folks cooking we're friendly and knew what they were doing! End of the day, you should check this place out - it's well worth your time!

I'm from Cali and we have wonder poly food. This was my first time here and wanted some poly food and this is not the place. The food I order was Beach Boy plate and we order the garlic chicken. Both dish's were not great. The rice served over cooked watery and the meat was dry on the beach boy plate. I was so disappointed.

Not having eaten much in the Renton area, I was hungry and looking for a quick team lunch with a colleague. Driving around we spotted aloha and it was sunny so why not. Stepping into the storefront we were greeted with a friendly smile. My friend ordered the Kailua pork and you can have it with vegetables or rice&Mac salad. He opted for the veggies. I ordered the katsu curry and obviously it needs the rice to soak up the curry! Food came out fast and the verdict: 1) Kailua pork was good, not the best, but pretty solid. Personally I would have ordered it with the cabbage, but my friend didnt want it. 2) Katsu curry....that was bomb. The katsu was crispy and the meat was juice. With the savory mild curry, it was delish and there is that part of me wishing I was 10 years younger and I would totally have ordered another plate of it to eat...on...the...spot.

I'm giving them 4 stars because their food tastes so good. I love their Kailua pork moco the best. Talk about the best gravy!! Yum!! As far as customer service, they stink. They don't greet you when you come in. In fact, they look at you like an annoyance. Right in the middle of my order, the gal started walking away. Im like "Um.... My husband would also like to order!" I truly don't know what their issue is. Are they trying to discourage people from coming in?

This is seriously the best Hawaiian BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD. Fresh, cooked to order, and Hawaiian people! Do it! I've already gobbled some of the food up in the pic!

When I tell you they have the best garlic shrimp around.... they have the best garlic shrimp around! I'm constantly craving this, and I'm so happy that it isn't far from me. The people working are always so nice and sweet! This is my favorite Hawaiian place in the Seattle-Tacoma area, and for dessert they carry cakes of paradise which is always a huge plus for me.

First time trying this place and it was not bad for Hawaiian food. Ordered the lau lau combo, saimin and the kalbi. We had lau lau from another Hawaiian restaurant nearby and it was full of fat that I couldn't even enjoy it so I was happy to see that this was filled with meat but honestly wish there was just a tad bit fat in there to soften up the taro more. It was also pretty salty so I just had to load up on the rice with each bite. We probably wouldn't order the kalbi again. It was lacking flavor and prefer to make it at home. We also prefer our Mac salad to be more coated. Overall I'd give it a 3.75/5. I think the Korean owned Hawaiian spot just a few blocks down might be better but I was craving lau lau so I decided to try it out.

I ordered the chicken cutlet. Small portion, bland. Macaroni salad seemed like it wasn't fresh. Most likely not coming back.

Plus, lots of free parking (huge win for DT Renton). The space itself is quirky in the best way -- cozy, charming, and just feels good to be in. We ordered the Crispy Pork Shank and WOW. So tender and flavorful, and that creamy mushroom orzo + rosemary cream combo is unreal. Also had the Bleu Cheese & Caramelized Onion Steak Frites -- perfectly cooked, rich, and super satisfying with those fries. Drinks were on point too -- solid beer on tap and a really good Cabernet. Service was incredible -- attentive, friendly, and just overall made the experience even better. Food: AMAZING Service: AMAZING Vibes: Cozy + quirky perfection Red House stays on my favorites list.

We were immediately intrigued because it is a popular recommended spot, and it has a genuinely warm, welcoming atmosphere since the restaurant is inside an actual house. Our server was wonderful, being very patient and giving us great recommendations since it was our first time. We ended up ordering the Korean chicken wings along with a special they were running: a cranberry brie sandwich with sweet potato fries. We also both ordered their raspberry mule, which paired well with the meal. Because we enjoyed everything so much, we decided to get dessert. Tip: make sure you ask what the options are, as we couldn't find them on the menu. Overall, this was a great dinner spot. There is plenty of parking right out front, and everyone we met during our stay was kind and respectful. I will definitely be coming back during the summer!

I've only been here once, but it made an impression!…read more Came here on one of our recent hot June days. I knew I wanted to eat somewhere outside before wandering around Renton. I remembered Salty Blue was on my list and they had a front patio, so that was THE CHOICE! We found a small table for two right outside their window, just in the shade- perfect for me and my husband. I ordered the cod (battered) fish and chips, I wanted to go simple my first time. When it arrived at the table, it was a huge piece of fish sitting atop plenty of fries! The crispy batter stayed on the fish as I ate- a big plus. I enjoyed it with malt vinegar and an incredible sauce full of dill, and I LOVE dill. The fries were good but slightly soggy, maybe from the fish sitting on top, perhaps I'll immediately push them to the side next time. My husband got the grilled Mahi Mahi with chips. It looked beautiful and he said it tasted wonderful, even without any sauce or condiments. The servers came outside to check on us a couple times, which was much appreciated! We had our meals with a cold pint of beer each and just loved having delicious food while relaxing in the warm air on a sunny day. One of my favorite things about the food is that you can choose to have your fish & chips either grilled or battered and either with fries or salad. Fantastic for those days when you want something on the lighter side. The menu also has so many other items I'd like to try. Definitely will be back!

Price Point - There are several meat options served here that are very expensive but we tried it all. My personal favorites were the Spicy Pork Cutlet, the Salmon and Rice Bowl, and the wagyu sirloin skewers. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. For 4 people who ordered a little bit of everything, we spent 140$ That's three appetizers, 2 sides, and 5 main dishes. For special occasions, celebrations, corporate dinners, this place seems like a great option. Now, in regard to the portion sizes. Pretty simple explanation, they do feel a bit small. Lastly, do they have options for children? I would say no but that depends on what kind of food your kids eat Hahha. This is more of an adult restaurant not particular organized for kids meals. Overall, I definitely recommend everyone check this place out. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We lived the experience and would definitely come back if we find ourselves in town again.
