Great service, ambience is great for a casual date night! We enjoyed the crab wontons, pad Thai, and pad see ew. All were delicious. We can't wait to go back!
One of my favorite Thai spots in denver. They have really great noodle dishes. Get the Aloy noodle dish!
Server was very friendly as was the host. Food was great, albeit mine came out just a little cold (probably the first one made) it was still DELICIOUS, and I finished the entire dish. Cocktails were a standout - rarely do I see more than 2 on a menu that genuinely look good to try. We had multiple. Would love to come back and try the Panang curry again without it being cold. Definitely see myself returning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was busy, clean, lively, but not too loud to hear your group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FYI - if you go during the Rockies game parking WILL be difficult.
Came here for dinner with a group of 5 on a Tuesday. We were seated promptly and our waiter was very friendly. We got two sake bowls to share and it tasted amazing. We also got shrimp lettuce wrap, which was interesting but could be skipped. I got the bison kao soi and my friends got bison curry and bison drunken noodles. All the dishes were amazing. My kao soi had such flavorful broth and it's served with both soft and crunchy egg noodles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great place for group meals and most main dishes were worth a visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Came here with some teammates while in town for a nearby conference. It wasn't too busy on a Thursday night, so we were immediately seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Server was very hospitable and the seating and ambiance were both comfortable - the hanging plants and fireplace make for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Thai street barbecue, which is served with lemongrass chicken, papaya salad, and sticky rice. You can order how spicy you'd like it on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the spiciest. I got mild spice with level 2 and found it to be just right. The accompanying fish sauce was very strong but tasty. The only thing that could have been improved was the sticky rice, which was too dry and difficult to get out from the basket it was served in. My coworkers ordered level 3 and 4 spice for their dishes and were happy with how they came out. Overall would recommend this spot if you're looking for elevated Thai close to Denver's downtown area.

Did you know Aloy is on Yelp's Top 50 Restaurants list in the Denver area? I didn't either until recently when I attended an event where Aloy was presented as such. After having a couple of their dumplings, I was intrigued to try their other dishes, and Aloy did not disappoint us. Since there at least 4 locations, the one we went to is located near Coors Field, and it was easily accessible. We were greeted by Como, our waiter, who promptly seated us right away. While waiting, Como took our drink orders. Since we knew what we wanted to order, it didn't take long for the group made up two tables of diners, mild and spicy, to decide. Both tables were given a platter of 3 appetizers: crab cream cheese wontons, Brussels sprout, and corn fritters. Biting into my wonton, I was reminded how much flavors this wonton was filled when I had it at the event. It was creamy inside while the outside was crunchy. It was accompanied by a small slice of spiced orange. I thought the sprouts were cooked perfectly, and the corn fritters were very good. This appetizer platter came with a hot and sour sauce with chili. Its texture was like honey, but had a very distinct flavor, and I liked it a lot. Our 5 entrees came very quickly. One after other, so it was hard to keep up the flow. The first 2 dishes were the pad Thai with shrimp and the drunken noodles with chicken. While we were eating a couple of bites, the panang curry and the eggplant wok with pork were served. And so, the food must move on, and moved on they did: from our plates and bowl, to our mouths, and landed in our tummies. The last dish was the bison kao soi, which was a noodle dish with two different types of noodles where diners would pour the delicious golden broth over it, and then add toppings on top of the dish. Out of the 5 dishes, I would say my favorite dishes were the pad Thai, then the panang curry with its delicious coconut sauce. I didn't really get to enjoy the drunken noodles, but know it was very good from diners at my mild table. My least favorite? The eggplant wok dish with pork. The eggplant pieces were cut too thick, and the consistency wasn't what I expected it. We did order mango and sticky rice to share among 5 of us, but it wasn't enough for me to truly comment on this dessert, but diners should know that mango and sticky rice is a very common dessert to order at Thai restaurants. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was very nice. Lots of natural light was pouring into the windows, and we were able to have conversations without additional noise other than ourselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of the eggplant dish, I would have to give their food a B+. Their service? A solid A. Remember: if you are near Coors Field, stop by for some excellent Thai dishes. Your taste buds and tummy will thank you!
We came again for happy hour and I stand by my statement- you cannot order a bad dish here. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 2-6pm, and you can't beat $5 appetizers and $5 cocktails. We ordered just about everything off the menu- egg rolls, wontons, potstickers, and the fried shrimp, then spent the rest of the time bickering about which was the best. Ultimately we didn't decide, but the fried shrimp was served with a remoulade sauce that took it to the next level. For drinks we did the Negroni, which we struggled with because it was very gin forward. Not our fave but I'm sure if you like gin you would enjoy it. I can't remember the names of the other cocktails and their website is hard to navigate and doesn't have everything on it, but they were SO strong (100 points to Gryffindor for that!). We also had the mango sticky rice, which was delicious- loved the sauce it came with. The food is amazing and may have ruined me for any other Thai restaurant. But the real star of this visit was our server, Corey. He was so friendly, so patient, and just willing to go whichever way we were going. We will be asking for his section next time we come in, and I suggest you do too.
Delicious Thai food. I had takeout from here, and it was ready very fast. I tend to always get Panang curry at Thai restaurants, and this one was among the best! It was a great combination of spicy and creamy with well cooked chicken.
My first time here and definitely mot the last. Talk about portion sizes! For how big everything is, the prices are totally reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sit at the bar for a casual experience (full menu) or spice it up at a table with one of their wonderful servers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Shoutout to Nikki for taking care of us all night. I ordered the chicken thai rice at spice level 2/5 and I could not have gone any higher than that. I also had a smoky mezcal cocktail that was the perfect pairing with my flavorful dinner. Highly recommend the egg rolls as well. Delicious!
One of my favorite comfort foods is pad see ew so I've tried it from my different places and sometimes the noodles are right. I liked that this menu had a choice of noodle. I ordered through DoorDash and was able to get what I was looking for! I got pad see ew with beef and an order of egg rolls. Everything came when expected. It was delicious and the noodles are the exact kind I love and I even had extra for leftovers. This will be a go-to for sure!
The food was absolutely delicious! We were the first to try the new fish on the menu and it was very delicate and flavorful. The Tom Kha Noodle Soup was my favorite and I can't wait to order it again. The service was great. Our server knew everything about the menu. If you are looking for authentic thai cuisine...then this may not be your place. But if you are looking for a modern, hip, aesthetic, fusion place for lunch/dinner, then I would definitely recommend this place! Our group of 6 walked in for lunch on a Friday and were quickly sat at a high table with a great view in front of the restaurant. We were starving so we definitely over ordered. We couldn't resist ordering the fried brie bites (not very thai but so intriguing!). Spoiler - they were delicious! Portions were all so big and we regretted each ordering our own entrees because so much food went to waste :( Service was friendly and fast! Their thai iced tea and french press coffee hit the spot too. Their pad thai was more saucey than traditional pad thai so I actually really liked it a lot. (Pad thai isn't typically my favorite) The drunken noodles were my favorite entree though and is always my go to at thai places. This was a great lunch to have before walking over to breweries nearby. read more
I love Thai food. Good location, quick service, great food. This place has everything you want and it all looked delicious. We can here for lunch and they got us out in under an hour which I always appreciate on a work day. I ordered the sizzling spicy with tofu and it had a little too much sauce on it. Wow everything was SO good! Probably my new favorite Thai place. We were randomly craving Thai food and found this place. We were able to get in on a Saturday night. For appetizers we got the fried wontons, spring rolls & soft shell (which was our favorite). We also got a tom Kha soup which is the best I've had. Dinner didn't disappoint either. Aloy is my go-to Thai spot in Denver! They do great take out and in-restaurant dining- their dishes are flavorful and thought out, I've loved everything that I've ordered here! My go-to favorite dishes are the pineapple fried rice, Panang curry and drunken noodles! Recently, I ordered the Duck wontons and was astounded as how incredible they were! Another bonus is that they offer GF rice noodles in their dishes if you happen to be Gluten Free, which my fiancée is! We regularly order the drunken noodles GF and I would argue that it's just as good if not better than the original! A must try for a Thai food in Denver! read more
Post pandemic Pad Thai with a touch of modern elegance about it. I must say, I absolutely love, LOVE, LOVE this locals haunt! It's been a takeout essential this past year however getting to have an actual sit down meal again at this chic spot.... Very well then, sold. Perfect date night or a solid Sunday-Funday locale. I would highly recommend trying the alligator appetizer (and not just for the alliteration!) but was sorely disappointed in the Pad Thai (Tommy's Thai has ruined me for life--growing up with authentic and spicy Pad Thai set the bar pretty high) BUT if you don't like spicy food this might be for you. It's just about your palate and what you're into, and I personally wish I had chosen spicier food because that's what I'm into. Overall I was really impressed with the atmosphere, of course the decor but our server was AMAZING. One person in my party of four was an over an hour late and she was great about checking in to see if we needed anything (spices) and whether he was coming/if we wanted to pre-order for him. We weren't there during their busiest time and were at a four-top so it really was just out of kindness that she made sure we were taken care of and not out of a need to fill tables or push us out the door. We decided to visit Denver for a long weekend, and did heavy research about where we would eat. We visited many incredible restaurants, but what I'll remember most if that Ally Modern Thai had the best Thai food I have ever had. I look forward to going back to Denver largely because I am excited to visit Aloy, again. read more

Made a trip here with my husband specifically to try Khao Soi. We got there around 530 on a Friday. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. The host was very nice as well as our waitress. We started with some happy hour potstickers(wontons) that were really good and shisito peppers. My only complaint about the peppers is they weren't blistered enough! Other than that they had good flavor. For main dishes we orders the Khao Soi and drunken noodles with shrimp. The portions for both of these were huge so you could definitely share. The Khao Soi was really good and the chicken was perfectly cooked! The flavor was good alone but as with any Khao soi it is imperative you add the given lime juice and other spices and pickled goodness they give you. So yummy! The drunken noodles were also really good. I didn't love that it was garnished with beets bc that's a little off but overall it tasted really good. Lots of veggies and shrimp as well! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and they have a decent happy hour menu. Now to continue my khao soi tour! read more
Seeing Aloy Modern Thai at a recent Yelp event, it reminded me that I'd ordered takeout from them a *long* time ago... and it was time for an IRL visit. Takeout food, IMHO, isn't always the best representation of a restaurant, though it is nice to be able to order a meal from the couch in sweatpants. But I digress. Aloy gets busy on Saturday nights, so get there early! Like, early bird special at 5:30 pm. Even then the restaurant was filling up and by the time we left, there was bar seating only. Speaking of the bar, if it's a smaller group (2-3 adults), I'd recommend sitting there since it's happy hour ALL DAY and that didn't seem to be a high demand area. The rest of the space was pretty busy. What to order: cream cheese wonton, which I 20000% realize isn't authentic for any Asian cuisine. But it's deep fried cream cheese with sweet and sour dipping sauce. I don't eat these at home, nor would I cook this at home. In other words, it's a special treat. I also recommend the Thaigarita if you like spicy, spicy cocktails or a Bangkok Breeze, reminiscent of a fuzzy navel. For entrees, I had a cashew stir fry with shrimp and it was loaded with veggies and very "saucy", which employed the side of black jasmine rice. For Denver, this was pretty darn good Thai food. It's not terribly spicy or "out there" in terms of menu items, but Aloy is experimenting with their drinks and menu items to be a bit more creative than the standard offerings. If you're near downtown/Five Points and seeking something different, go for it! read more

I dropped by Aloy Modern Thai this week for the Restaurant Week menu and I was not disappointed! For the first course, I went with the Hot Durango River Rock, where you cook your own wagyu beef slices on a hot rock in front of you. The accompanying ponzu sauce added a nice touch to the flavour of the wagyu slices. For the second course, I ordered the Spiced Duck. The duck was cooked really well in a myriad of spices, which resulted in a complex but not overwhelming flavour profile. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender. The accoutrements of cherry tomatoes, grapes and green bean went well with the duck itself. Finally, I ended my meal with the crème brûlée and coffee chocolate mousse. Unfortunately the crème brûlée was not brûlée; there was no caramelised sugar atop. The dessert choices were underwhelming; I was hoping that the restaurant would offer some Thai dessert options to match the first two courses. read more

Was out of town from Florida and was recommended this place by locals at our hotel bar. SO HAPPY ABOUT IT. The pleasant man who sat us (maybe the owner? Not sure) recommended the wings and said they were the best in town. He wasn't lying! Crispy and delicious! Skeptics can relax. Aloy is indeed modern and Thai. Good outdoor seating in COVID times. Corn fritters were not particularly Thai. Nor are the shishito peppers. But both were good. The papaya salad could have used more garlic. The pad see eew was great. The apple cider was a really good pairing with the spicy food and warm weather. Food is a 3 but service was 5. Attentive server who made excellent recommendations. Overall a lovely Thai food experience in downtown Denver. read more

Food is excellent. We ordered Pad Thai, Kao Soi, Shrimp Spring Rolls, and Satay. While the flavor is right and customizable, their sauces just elevates the taste even further. Plus point for the concept of farm-to-table. My only concern was there are some flies. Which for me say that there's some cleanliness issues. read more

The food was delicious!! The staff was also very friendly. The manager kept checking on us and refilling our water glass every time it got low (the water was so fresh! Omg) the manager was friendly and made conversation with us each time he came to the table. We all got level 3. It was good but definitely spicy. I would recommend starting at a low level then add spice as needed. read more
Aloy is a great surprise! It's a farm to table Thai place (which I didn't realize existed) in downtown Denver. The interior is clean, fresh, and beautifully decorated. The dishes are Thai favorites you expect at hole in the wall places but prepared consciously. I had the Eggplant Wok, which was phenomenal and quite a large portion (which I really appreciate). My husband had the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with vegetables, and it was a nice balance of spicy, sour, and lemongrass goodness. My only complaint: Why are the curries based with shrimp? Please please add vegetarian curries like your Boulder location has! read more
