Used to be decent years ago, but quality seems to have declined over here past year or two. Food: breakfast burritos are inconsistent. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes it's dripping with grease, sometimes it's filled with mostly potatoes. Zucchini fries and onion rings don't taste like anything. Service: Terrible. Went recently to eat inside and waited about 10 minutes to be seated with waitresses walking past and no acknowledgment. We asked if we could self seat at an open table and were asked to wait (which is fine, we understand if they're busy). Another party came after us and sat at the open table, but when they noticed we were waiting first they gave us the table and let us know that diners usually self seat there so we took the table (previous times we've come we've been asked to wait to be seated). That party sat outside and another party self seated inside. Another 10 minutes passed and both parties who came after us were given menus and drinks, while we were still waiting for someone to come by. We left. read more

Been coming here since 2002. They have the best breakfast burritos, the club sandwiches and salads are really good, and you can't beat these burgers! I also love their shakes and malts. The ambiance hasn't changed. Still gives homey, old diner vibes. And the service is always on point. They are a well-oiled machine. Highly recommend. read more

I used to go here as a kid in the 1970's and continued to eat here for years. The wonders were caring and fantastic, the kids took over and they did a great job as well. Now a new owner has the restaurant and has continued the great service that has always been provided. Restaurant is clean, food was hot and fresh to order. I had the pastrami sandwich with was tasty. And the French fries are still amazing. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend checking the out. read more

First time here and I've got to say... it's the best breakfast burrito I've had. The burrito is huge with all the meat--ham, bacon and sausage. The potatoes are warm and soft when you bite into it. And their onion rings are so good too! It doesn't have any onion taste! Which I really like. The batter isn't flakey and it's not salty. Dipped in ranch so good!! Best onion rings I've had too!! The food was good and affordable. I ate a simple dish of eggs and hashbrowns. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

We ordered 3 bacon breakfast burritos. It was more like hash brown burritos. No egg or bacon, it was a thin layer of "egg and bacon". One of them had soggy onions and we didn't even ask for onions. We were given a 20 minute pick up but ended being more like 40 minutes. Quality of the food has gone downhill. When I called to complain the lady that answered the phone did want to make it better. We just ended up getting a refund. Time to look for another place for burritos. read more

Anyone else feel this place has changed and not in a good way? I grew up in Covina and Alpha was a staple. However my visit this morning did NOT go well. I pull into the drive thru (no one was in line) and I waited for several minutes at the menu before an employee says, "I'll be right with you". Not even a hello. I ordered a breakfast burrito and pancake plate which took a while to be prepared. If that wasn't enough, while I was eating my pancakes I noticed something crunchy. I look at my plate and see tiny pieces of eggshell and then pull out a giant piece from the center. Never in my life have I found a piece of egg shell, let alone that large, in my food! Clearly someone wasn't paying attention on the griddle. Extremely disappointing. I did call the restaurant and then employee apologized. I have a week to come in and receive a new order. Scrambled egg barely mixed, concrete hard/ burnt hash browns &we've loved this place for decades, I know they sold to new owners a few years ago but quality has steadily gone downhill. Delicious double cheeseburger! Get it with grilled onions. Smoky, juicy, and enormous. This was the first stop on my search for the best cheeseburger in East SGV. I'd say skip the fries, nothing special. The service was phenomenal. The cashier asked all the right questions, offered water to us, and checked if we needed anything. Benches outside were clean. Food is very good but the drive thru menu needs the prices updated. My food was $8 more than I was expecting.

No frills mom and pop diner with decent portions and good cheap prices. I came here the other day for the first time and i'm surprised they have a drive thru as well! I parked and dined in. You order at the front, they give you a number and someone brings your food to you. I ended up ordering a side of sausage (which I think wasn't cooked as long as i'd like, because it was very soft but it was still cooked through I think, but it did make me feel sick after but that's a ME problem) and I got the chili omelet. I've had a chili omelet before from another place, but I think I like this one. They put two big slices of cheese on top and melted it so it was great. Hasbrowns are the thick shred potatoes. Overall, it's going to be my go-to if i want a cheap, no frills breakfast or lunch. read more

My cheese quesadilla was a half large tortilla cut in 4 pieces for $6.69 but the worst was side Combo Platter(zucchini, fries and onion rings) there were seven shoe strings zucchinis eight onion rings and about to 40 french fries for $9.99. will not be returning. Damn son, this is the spot for breakfast burritos! We are currently new to the area, sometimes for breakfast you want a breakfast burrito from a ghetto burger. We tried 3 other places in the area and were very disappointed until we got breakfast burritos from this place. They have different choices, but current burrito house favorites for us are gonna be the bacon burrito and chorizo burrito. I absolutely love that you can choose to add beans to your burrito, as a few of the places around the area don't do that. Whether I've ordered inside or at the pick up window, everyone is always so courteous and friendly. In terms of ambiance there's not much, it's a place with a few booths to eat. But every time I've ordered inside, I have not seen a dirty table, so they are diligent about upkeep and keeping the place clean. I cannot speak for other meals as I have not ventured out from the breakfast realm, but I definitely recommend this place for breakfast burritos. read more

Perfect french fries! There's more to love about this place, such as how friendly and attentive the wait staff is, the fast service, and (of course) fresh, hot food. I've only tried a couple of things so far, but their fries (which can be a deal breaker for me) are perfection. They come to your table on a heaping platter, hot, not greasy, firm on the outside but soft in the center. Unless you're ordering your food to go, if you are dining in you sit at booth or table and one of their staff will come take your order. This was unexpected and a refreshing change from most "burger stands" and fast food establishments that have removed most aspects of human interaction since the pandemic. There seem to be busy and attract "regulars", so I'll definitely keep coming back. read more

I first asked for my pastrami to be grilled well done. They brought me a pastrami that was soggy fresh out the water. Then, when I took it back, they just broke the sandwich down put the meat on the grill which already had cheese then they added another slice of cheese. I specifically asked for one slice of cheese like I do everywhere else this sandwich was horrible. I ate probably a 12:45 half. Stay away from this place. They make you wait 10 minutes to order. When you finally get to they rush you through and wont let you add a ranch dressing or salsa when you get to they window. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was nicely sized and pretty bomb. I think I have gotten the steak and bacon before. Definitely preferred the bacon. Servers and cashiers were nice and the place wasn't too packed so didn't have to wait long. Hash browns were on the soggy side but the size of the burrito made up for that. My most recent visit was very disappointing. The owner decided to increase prices without updating his menu boards. When I pointed out the menu board prices, he refused to honor the posted prices and made a claim for "keeping up with inflation". His attitude was very unprofessional, but the restaurant was busy so I'll give him a break on the customer service. Be very careful and check your receipts to ensure you are receiving the correct menu pricing.
