Took my little brother here because we are both obsessed with Thai food. Although we were disappointed we couldn't sit inside in the cool sunken seating area on mats (looks like it is permanently closed) we still enjoyed sitting outside on a nice day and having a bite to eat before going to see a movie. We ordered the fresh rolls (with prawns), larb (pork), and a small Tom Kha soup. Everything was really tasty and my little brother said it was one of the best versions of the soup that he has had. The larb was a big portion which was a pleasant surprise. I wish rice came with it but oh well, not a big deal. They have a wide variety of different rice options you can get on the side, including jasmine, coconut, brown, and ginger (the one we ordered). The fresh rolls were amazing and I liked that instead of the peanut sauce they typically are served with, we got more of a vinaigrette that was nice and spicy. It was a fun twist. $85 for two with tip was a bit pricey since the only drink we ordered was one iced tea, but I guess that's inflation for you. Service was friendly and efficient. They have a happy hour drink menu that features $10 cocktails. We would come back.

Amarin Thai Cuisine has always been my favorite Thai place in the bay area but it's slipped a bit. the price has gone up, portion size down, and the taste isn't where it was. they're expanding, with a second location on the same street, but it seems like it's at the expense of quality. still a tasty place but not worth the price hike in my opinion.

The original Amarin Thai restaurant definitely shows its age. The place has not been updated in decades and the menu is as old as the tables and chairs. It's all run down. The servers are friendly and the food came out really really fast. Maybe too fast. The food was hot and actually seemed fresh. Just overall the flavor profile was just lacking. The spicy eggplant was cooked well but the minced pork was just a bit dry. The only real flavor here was the spicy sauce. The pad see ew was ok but the chicken was a bit chewy. Overall they're convenient and decent, but nothing to write home about.

Not your typical Thai restaurant, as ordered something I had never tasted before. Came here in a group of 7 as part of an organized "meetup" social. Anna, our organizer shared spring rolls, coconut milk soup tofu, and house special fried rice. Liked everything but especially the house special fried rice, which had brown rice, pineapple, peanuts, peas and cucumbers. Even carnivores like vegetarian dishes on occasion. Wife ordered the $21.99 pineapple curry with prawns which came with pineapple, tomato, bell peppers, lychee, sweet basil, coconut milk and red curry. Rice separate from the triangle shaped curry dish, which came with four prawns. When mixed with rice, the dish tasted delicious. Ordered the $21.99 Hoa Mok Fish, a mixture of red curry, coconut milk, eggs, Thai sweet basil, cabbage and cod. The cod went well with the sweet red curry dish, which lent a lot of flavor to an otherwise bland white fish. Tasted like a casserole, something I had never seen before at any restaurant. When I first received my dish, I twirled my fork through the dish. Fortunately, I didn't put the fork in my mouth, as it turned out to be the catfish curry paste ordered another diner at the table.

Located in Downtown Mountain View, parking is plentiful but may be limited at peak hours. There's a lot of seating and even an area where you can sit on mats. The noise level was relatively quiet. The pad see ewe and yellow curry were both very yummy. The flavor was delicious and rich. The curry got a good kick with mild. The chicken was good and tender but some pieces were a bit dry. Overall Amarin Thai Cuisine is a good place for some yummy Thai food.

Busy spot in downtown Mountain View! Came here in a Wednesday night and the restaurant was bustling with customers. The staff were friendly. I ordered Khao Soi, a chicken curry soup with noodles. Honestly the soup was overly too sweet for my liking. And it was Thai spicy (per my request) which was good. It was hard to finish the soup because it was just too sweet. I am not a fan of sweet curries, so it was hard to eat. I was unimpressed with the dish. I personally would rate this 3.5 overall and it's really pricey.

We had a great experience at Amarin on a Friday night. All of the food we ordered tasted awesome, especially the green curry. Food also came quickly after ordering.

Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Our waitress was attentive and recommended the Khao Soi. The curry was very delicious as someone who enjoys coconuts though still kind of spicy. I decided to get it with chicken though I did not expect it to come on the bone. I think the food was pretty good but nothing too special, it was reasonably priced for its size and I would come back if I was in the area.

this was a last minute find and we loved the food! Medium spicy was the perfect choice! The service was so fast, and the place is quiet and clean !

The food was delicious I enjoyed the green curry I ordered and the pan-fried noodles. Service: The server was also really attentive to our friends' nut allergy so I appreciated how they went back to check if the dishes were nut-free. The service can be slow also. We waited a while for our food and they almost missed the last dish we ordered, so expect to wait after you order. Restaurant: The restaurant has plenty of seatings. They have Thai decorations on the wall which is nice to see. It also looks like they have the tables where you sit on the floor, but those were closed when we came. Parking: Parking around downtown Mountain View's not bad. We just parked in one of the lots nearby.

We ordered yellow curry both pork and chicken, Basil chicken, pad see ew both beef and pork, Red Curry fried chicken, mango with sticky rice and the fried banana with ice cream. Both yellow curry dishes were good. Good balance of curry flavor and sweetness with slight spiciness. The Pad See Ews were also good with each stand of flat noodles fully coated with the sweet soy based sauce. We ordered medium spicy Basil chicken; was pretty spicy like biting on a red Thai chili pepper. We also had Red Curry fried chicken was good. The chicken was covered with sweet and spicy chili sauce. The spice level was mild so don't let the appearance fool you as it looked bright red with all the chili pepper seed. The Mango sticky rice had extra coconut cream on top of the rice. The Fried banana was ok. It had sweet but slightly sour banana wrapped in batter. Came with vanilla ice cream. The staff were very nice. Reasonable price for the portion.

first time to visit this restaurant for lunch Friendly staff there , ordered four items for lunch including the soup , salad , pork neck and Pad thai . The soup was pretty good and well balanced with sour with hot taste. The pork neck was the one I was looking for , grilled and taste so well with the source , the pork was so soft and I love it . The salad was the other one I like , which was so fresh and best match with soup and pork neck . The pad thai was just average in general . But the table was too small for four dishes , we did ask to change for a bigger window side table but i was surprised that the waiter refuse to do so although tons of table available will definitely come back again for lunch , wondering if they have any lunch special for weekday lunch ?

The photo is of scalloped tofu, which is basically fried tofu that was trying to imitate the look of scallops via round shape. The good news is that the tofu was very fresh, had a nice crispy fried crust, and the sauce and veggies had a good flavor. The bad news is that only three pieces of tofu accompanied the dish, which was really tiny, given the cost. I was expecting 6 to 8 pieces of tofu. The green curry was a little bit different. Because it came with rice vermicelli noodles and the curry was a little bit spicy, and the curry had fish. I think I prefer my curry with chicken after all and would've liked the spice level to be toned down a little bit. But I give credit for creativity. Nice outdoor seating, indoor seating was available too.

I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish.
