We were very disappointed this last order we had. The Szechuan chicken was way too spicy and very very not crispy. The sauce was all over the bottom of the bag completely leaked everywhere. The noodles were mushy for the chowmein. The chicken wasn't very flavorful for the Hunan chicken. The crab Puffs didn't have much crab flavor at all, nor were crispy, they were very doughy. Great food, but my mother didn't like the fried rice, because it was very dark compare to other Chinese restaurants have lighter in color. I ordered honey walnut prawns without the walnuts because my wife was allergic. Guess what they did, THEY PUT A HANDFUL OF WALNUTS! On to the food, we ordered vegetarian Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, Kung Pao Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken and Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. For starters everything was bland, I mean we had to add a ton of soy and sarachi sauce kind of bland. The chicken in the Kung Pao was weird to me, it was long strips, instead of bite size. Ok. I have never ordered from this restaurant before until last night. The woman I spoke with was very friendly, one star. The food came earlier than expected, two stars. The food was delicious!! Three stars. That's where I'm going to have to leave it. Upon preparing a bowl of the wonton soup for my kids, I noticed a few things floating around in the broth. I thought maybe it was seasoning and continued to feed my family. Well, for lunch today I thought I would heat up the leftover soup for my baby and still, more floaters. I had my doubts last night but it was late, they were hungry so I dismissed it. I investigated it further today though. They are not flecks of seasoning. They are little bugs. I just fed my family a soup full of bugs. I know the whole, "an average human consumes x-amounts of bugs" theory. But come on, this is a bit much. These were the tiny little bugs found on vegetables. You know exactly the ones I'm taking about. Which tells me they did not wash the produce. I don't care if there are bugs ON the veggies, but if you're serving these veggies in a restaurant, it's probably a good idea to wash them before you prep them. A very pleasant experience overall, I love the fact that they serve lunch specials on Sundays. Our party of 4 all ordered the individual lunch specials, and we're not disappointed. Everything tasted good, and the food was very quick to come out. The portions are enormous for how cheap the food is. The individual plates run from $7.15 to about $8, depending on what kind of meat you get. The plates also come with your choice of chow mein, fried rice, or steamed rice, plus a spring roll and a wonton. We also ordered an order of the pot stickers and house chow mein, and both were flavorful. Service is good, as the waitresses are very attentive and pleasant.
