I bought a house that came with solar and I knew nothing about it. None of the equipment that showed how much energy I was producing was functional. I contacted the manufacturer and they put me in touch with Ambrose solar. The technician had to come out twice because of the amount of work that needed to be done but he was on time, very knowledgeable, went above and beyond and exceeded all my expectations. My system is up and running, I can now see everything I wanted to about my system's efficiency, and they are still continuing to look into my system to make sure that everything under warranty is working as it should. We chose Ambrose solar to install our new solar panels. After interviewing three separate solar companies we went with Ambrose as they had the best reviews, the best pricing and and best support. Tory was our energy consultant and Noelle was our project manager. They did a great job explaining all the details and were available to us throughout the entire process. They answered all of our many questions and were extremely helpful. On the day of the install we had two teams on site. They were on time and very professional. The solar panel installers worked on the roof and ran all of the cables thru the attic except for one small section where the roof did not have an underlying crawl space. That short cable conduit was run discreetly under the eave and painted to match. A second team installed the new electrical panel and they did a fantastic job. They patched and painted the stucco and replaced the sheetrock inside of the garage (access to the back side of the electrical panel) We are very happy with the cost and quality of the work done. I know. Like you, I was skeptical about making the move to solar. But with PG&E looking to raise rates another 5% again this year and every year for the foreseeable future, it made sense. I would be paying 25% more for electricity within the next few years. From the moment their sales rep sat down with us, we were very interested in hearing more. Ambrose works with a separate roofing contractor, electrican, and of course the SUNPOWER product. They kept me up to date with information. They filed for the permits and included that in the fees. They contractors were extremely polite and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and made it look like they were not even there. Everything about this process was easy and simple. From start to finish Ambrose solar took care of all of our concerns. They were able to add solar panels onto our new home and combine that system with a pre-existing system on our property. Let's start off with the fact that I shopped around before choosing Ambrose. Why them then? Because their customer service was EXCELLENT! Paul was so great in explaining their panels and even had demo panels to show us quality and construction compared to other solar panel vendors. No other company did that with us. The field office is so sweet and very punctual when it comes to responding to you. What puts the cherry on top? The fact that you can text the field office your questions and more and they respond to you via text if you prefer! I mean, that's really convenient and personable. I would highly recommend Ambrose. This company lived up to its 5-star reputation from beginning to end. I assessed 10 company bids and decided to go with Ambrose/Sunpower. Ambrose was actually the first to respond and communication every step of the way was excellent. They were the easiest company I've ever worked with for home projects and very reliable. Everyone on their staff was very nice and dependable. Everything went smoothly and the project was completed within a very reasonable time. I had some bids that came in cheaper for more kWs (with Hyundai, LG, Panasonic panels and Enphase inverters), but I decided to go with Ambrose/Sunpower because: 1. Single warranty for panels, inverter, parts 2. Most efficient panels on the market 3. Easy company to work with 4. panel quality I decided to get a little less power, for a little bit more money, but the overall bid was very competitive when looking at the total package. Fair to say it took me a while to pull the trigger on solar. Believe me when I say I probably did too much research. That being said, Ambrose taught me a lot, and were always happy and prepared to answer my questions from start to finish. Adam our sales guy went out of his way to give me detailed responses to all my questions and walked me through the entire process. Chewy and his install team could not have been better. Showed up on time, introduced themselves, and went right to work explaining what the plan was and how they intended to execute it. I am currently awaiting PTO from PG&E which should be any day now and I will get to see how well the system hums along. I will update when I do. Ambrose just completed our 20 panel 8.50 kW solar install a week ago. We were pleased they sold SunPower panels. Best in the business. The virtual consultation went smoothly. Our sales consultant Todd Longdren was amazing. Informed, friendly, and genuine. Noelle assisted with setting up the project. Very professional, responsive and kind via text, providing support through the entire process. The install crew was incredible. Even though it took longer than expected to complete the job, they were honest, reliable, informative and courageous!! Our two story roof has a knarley pitch... Ambrose Solar was such a wonderful company to work with from the start. After comparing quotes from 4 different solar companies, Ambrose and the sunpower product they most prominently offered seemed to have the best combination of customer service, value, and quality (they offer other products as well). The design they made for my house is also beautiful. My decision to choose them only became more solidified during and after install. The installation team headed by Trent was completely professional and worked hard for an entire day (staying well after the sun set to complete their work!). I got to speak with their crew at points throughout the day and was astonished to find out how passionate the whole team was about solar and working - there was no sense at all that they were just slogging through a work day just to get paid. Furthermore, I never felt like the team was rushing to get out of here. There was such attention to detail in even the small things like a dedicated final walkthrough of the lawn to pick up anything that had fallen off the roof. It's very apparent in all my interactions with this company that they are very customer service oriented and you just are left with the feeling of immense satisfaction after they complete the job just right. I'm happy to recommend Ambrose Solar to all my friends. (Minor side note on the SunPower monitoring system/app, which Ambrose Solar has no control over: it's disappointing that the app does not have panel-level monitoring so it'll be hard for the homeowner to detect if a panel or microinverter is defective/broken. From what I've read online as well, it does not seem that SunPower is really monitoring that closely for problems either). Ambrose Solar was absolutely amazing! I did some research on a few different companies but I kept coming back to Ambrose being at the top of my list. So, I went ahead and signed with them. I started working with David Northup and he was so awesome from the start to finish...and really, still is! I couldn't have asked for him to be any better, seriously. He was/is on top of everything. I ran into a couple of small snags during the process and he fixed them SO quick, really the moment he heard of them...even got my panels on ahead of schedule. Not very many companies solve issues like this, big or small, it was a breath of fresh air. I also worked with Brie and she was so amazing too! She keep me up to date on the process the whole way through. There was not a day that went by that I didn't know what was going on. Why did we wait so long?? The experience with Ambrose Solar was stream less. From the estimators to the office staff and the installers. The panels do exactly what they said they would do. Our energy cost have decreased to near nothing. They were patient with all my questions. Even after being installed and up and running, when new laws were in the process regarding solar they were up to date on info and had no hesitation clarifying. This company is rare in todays world. What an exceptional team! I used Ambrose for Sun Power solar panels and Tesla Battery. I had received proposals and sales people & did research over the course of a year and this company and the product offering was the best for me. The team from the beginning to end and then some has always responded very effectively and efficiently. From the beginning, Ian explained everything, answered all my questions and offered suggestions. The combination of the product offering to the service and installation team was professional and always there to help answer any questions. Same with the follow-up. My wife and I are interested in placing solar on our future retirement home. We had been interested in doing so since 2018 but between a year long ordeal with back surgery and then my wife being caught up in the Pandemic as an ICU RN, we just got back to looking at this this fall. We contacted Ambrose Solar, referred by one of the panel markers, and they sent out a man to look over the house. We have some unique issues that need to be addresses to get solar on the roof. Nothing crazy, but a little different than most. I was told we would be getting a proposal in a few days. Then we were told in another few days. Then we heard nothing. I emailed them multiple times and to multiple people at Ambrose and heard nothing. If a company does not want a job, then a responsible company tells the potential customer that they do not want the job and why. It is called professionalism. Ambrose Solar appears to be neither Professional nor Responsible. We have no idea if they do good work or not. All we know is that such behavior is not a good sign. read more

I had already received quotes from four companies when I called Ambrose. Two of them tried to up-sell me to twice as many panels as were recommended for my small, two bedroom, newly constructed house (ADU). After collecting information about my project, Lani set up an appointment with a designer, Tory, for an on-line meeting to go over details, recommendations and present a proposal. Before the scheduled meeting Tory emailed a detailed 3D computer model shade analysis report. He explained how the report showed that the roof orientation and proximity of large trees made solar impractical. He recommended that I use the report to seek an exemption from the current solar mandate for new construction. You have to admire such professionalism and honesty. The next time I am looking for solar on a project, I will call Ambrose first. read more
