We had the absolute BEST experiences of our trip at this restaurant. We had such a good experience the first time we came, that we visited twice on our 4 day trip. Our server Jack was the kindest human being ever, and made us feel so comfortable about the handling of my husband's food allergies (gluten, dairy, etc.). He was so personable and professional, and has a ton of experience in the food industry himself. We trusted him completely, which is rare. Now on to the food, the first night I got the soft shelled crab, which was delicious. It was very lemon forward and a generous portion. My first time ever having a dish of the sort and I was pleasantly surprised. The other night, I got the Scallops and truffle risotto, which was amazing as well, but the real star was the risotto. It was so good, I would recommend getting it as an individual side with anything. We also received the crème brûlée for our anniversary, which was great as well. My husband had the shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, and elk over the course of his 2 dinners. Both were the best meals of his trip. The ambience of this place was also super nice, and there was plenty of parking since it was near a shopping center. All of the wait staff were extremely professional and seemed to enjoy working together. They all seemed genuinely happy to be there. We will definitely be coming back every time we are in town!

One of the best experiences to be had in the Rosemary Beach area. Service was simply amazing from start to finish. The Wagyu Bread-Seared Snake River Farms Wagyu, Brioch, Cured Egg Yolk, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Truffle was a unique way to start the meal. For my main, I went for the special Steak Flight - Petite Filet, Boursin Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Bordelaise - Elk Chop, Rahlua Glaze, Truffled Risotto - Wagyu Rib Cap, Hen of the Woods Mushroom, Wagyu Butter with a side of Wagyu Tallow Fried Tots. Oddly, the only somewhat disappointing part of the flight was the wagyu rib cap. It is not that it was bad, I just was expecting more from it. Everything else was outstanding. The place itself feels like a modern steak house, and with it opening just three years ago, it should. Parking is easy, though you might need to walk a bit!

We made a last-minute Sunday reservation at Ambrosia and had an amazing experience thanks to Stefen S. From the start, he went above and beyond--especially for my pregnant wife. He thoughtfully recommended pregnancy-friendly dishes and even pointed out their mocktail menu so she could still feel included, which we really appreciated. It had been a few months since our last visit, so I decided to trust all of Stefen's recommendations--and he did not disappoint. We started with the prime rolls for an appetizer, and for our entrees my wife had the snapper while I went with the BBQ shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious. Stefen was attentive, knowledgeable, and answered every question we had. The service alone is enough to make us come back more often. Great job, Stefen--keep it up! Ambrosia, we'll definitely be back.

This is our new favorite spot! The best service we've had since moving to the area one year ago (and we've been to a lot of restaurants)! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Upon entering, the hostess welcomed us and already knew it was our anniversary. Our server brought us each a complementary glass of champagne and sang to us - how special! The food was outstanding and it was an overall great experience! We are going back for our daughter's birthday and can't wait!

We experienced service , service, and more service....tonight here at Ambrosia and found it was very polished and we were told by management that it is constantly being perfected. Amazing, because we were already impressed when we approached the front door and it was opened by a staff member who welcomed us and asked us if we wanted to dine-"of course"! And the other hostess stand staff said they had a wonderful booth for us and yes they did! Drink good, salad good, soup good, steak good, mashed good...

Good: nice atmosphere and friendly staff Bad: sloooow service, overpriced for quality, slooooow bar service The bacon appetizer is cute, but not worth the price. It's bacon served with five different seasonings. 1) applewood, 2) bourbon glaze, 3) black pepper, 4) pecan, and 5) coconut/coffee. It's just bacon. The difference in flavor is subtle and you're paying for the presentation. It comes with scissors and tongs to serve. (About now, if the management is reading this they're saying, "Oh, no! They're on to us!) The bread service again is ok - not special. If you want a sweet treat before your meal then this is it - think breakfast roll. The crab cake is just ok. Do not waste your money. It's overly buttery (greasy) and they'll tell you it's one of the best crab cakes you'll ever have - it is NOT. It's also small for $38. That's the appetizer folks! Not worth it. The Caesar salad dressing's flavor was a bit like "The Emperor's New Clothes." They will tell you it's there, but you can't actually confirm its presence. The BBQ Shrimp had a very strong shrimpy flavor. Overly so. We are from southern Louisiana - we do know seafood. It's what we grew up on all of our lives. The lobster bisque has a nice flavor, but very thin - more like a soup than a bisque. The Taste of 30A was fine. It's a good way to try different dishes. The flounder was dry - definitely overcooked. We didn't say anything because the service was so painfully slow that we didn't want to mess with what little flow they had. The petite filet was typical - not special. If you find yourself at this restaurant, order the molten lava cake. It's not the best one you'll ever have, but the best item you'll get here.

Made reservations at Ambrosia to celebrate my husband's birthday. It came as a surprise that this restaurant is located in Watersound. From the hosts to our waitress- Teraine, the service was top tier and made the restaurant feel like a true fine dining experience. Starters- pineapple rolls + angel eggs: The pineapple sweet rolls are a must! The sweetness of the bread is truly addicting. The angel eggs were a fun play on deviled eggs. The bacon on top is an explosion of flavor in your mouth. My husband and I then shared the tour of 30A. Of the three dishes you get to sample, the snapper was my favorite. Each dish comes over a unique side featuring either coconut rice, gnocchi or risotto. Each dish was also unique and packed with flavor. It gave us such a good sample of the quality of foods at Ambrosia and the local seafood. We got Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes as our sides. Sides are big enough to share tapas style. Also be mindful that the Brussels are topped with bacon though it can be removed upon request. Dinner was topped off with a birthday crème brûlée on the house. My husband enjoyed his birthday and we would recommend Ambrosia for special occasions or a romantic date night to anyone in the area.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The bar area is stunning. The staff was kind and truly seemed to try. Our visit was in 4/2025. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was good but I could identify what would have made it better. The grits needed Gouda, the dish needed spices for more flavor. It's not spicy at all so I asked for pepper and hot sauce. It took a long time to come... but it helped. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. My son ordered elk well done. That's his preference. He sent it back to the kitchen twice and it never got cooked well. We were all finished by the time they brought it to him the 3rd time still bloody. These were unfortunate misses. I would try Ambrosia again but order something all together different.

It was very very nice..went to Panama for a girls weekend to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance was warm and inviting. I wish i could remember our servers name but i will post a video with her singing. She was absolutely amazing. There was no stone unturned to ensure we enjoyed our experience. The food was great our drinks were amazing. If i didn't say it earlier every person we came in contact with the greeters, hostess, manager was friendly and it made my experience there more rewarding.

This restaurant is aptly named, as it delivered one of the best dining experiences I've had. Love the atmosphere, classic steakhouse feel where you're welcomed at the front door, leave the Florida sun behind for a bit, and move into the subtly energetic bar or the peacefully bustling dining area. Or hit both. Food, cocktails, and wine selection are outstanding. We started with the angel eggs--I do not like deviled eggs, but these beauties changed my mind temporarily (and not just the name change), as the egg and crispy shrimp made for incredible bites. The Hawaiian bread starter was fluffy and sweet. I tried the taste of 30-A (selection of three fish entrees): it was hard to choose a winner (snapper by a hair over the flounder), and the portions were quite generous (given the price compared to the full individual dishes, I honestly figured we'd see little bite-sized portions, but when you add on apps, delicious sides, and a bread pudding dessert that I'm still thinking about, each one was nearly enough for a meal!). There was also an elk special when we were there that needs to make the main menu, as it was beautifully cooked, tender beyond belief, and had that perfect gaminess (in a good way) of elk without the need for a ton of adornment. One comment on the cocktails worth adding: the Foster Old Fashioned was was a unique and delicious spin on the classic cocktail (using a rum base instead of bourbon, and it really was like drinking a less sweet bananas foster)--very much worth a try. Service was top notch. Bartenders were excellent, our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and the hostesses were welcoming. I very much look forward to a return visit...or preferably visits.

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and the Food, service and atmosphere where all great. We both got filet mignon with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese and everything we had was delicious. One of the best places to eat in 30A Also we tried the She crab soup and got a complementary dessert of crème brûlée. Both were excellent! I highly recommend Ambrosia.

Excellent service and food! Highly recommend! The truffle risotto was the best I've ever had and the scallops were cooked to perfection! The grouper in the seafood trio was the favorite! Errin was our server - he was very attentive and recs were spot on!

We visited Ambrosia for my mom's birthday. The service was outstanding and the restaurant was beautiful. We started with the Pineapple Sweet Rolls and the Wagyu Bread. Both were amazing. For entrees our table ordered the Wagyu Filet - cooked perfectly, Wagyu Zabuton - my husband said it was a tad salty for him but cooked perfectly otherwise, Crab Stuff Flounder - delicious, and Redfish Pontchartrain - one of the best things I've ever had, will recommend to anyone. For sides we got the Brussels Sprouts - I hate brussels sprouts and these were delicious, Mashed Potatoes - so creamy and cheesy, and the Fried Okra - taste like homemade. Such a great experience, will definitely come back!

Uhhhhhh mazing. We sat in the bar & had an incredible meal. The ambiance of the bar is very cool. The food is incredible. We had the ceviche, scallops, lobster bisque, Nola oysters, raw oysters, roast chicken & Brussels. Drool. Everything was 11/10! Bri was our server and very nice and cool. My friends and I came here for a fancy meal at the beach. The seafood was all outstanding, and our chocolate lava cake was to die for. Our server Hayden and his trainee Miki were phenomenal. Although the dinner entree soft shell crab was salty, the service and accommodation were excellent. Hayden was so pleasurable and knowledgeable in regards to our whole experience. I would definitely recommend this place to you! The crab cakes didn't seem to have any filling in them Whats so ever. I love that. They had this amazing bacon appetizer that was definitely worth the salt and calories. Il be back for that. Dessert wasn't so appealing but we wil definitely be back. Ps management spelled my servers name wrong on the receipt. It's Hayden not Haden! Please put some respect on his name! read more

First time at Ambrosia. First impression, easy access location from 98 with ample parking. Beautiful interior. We were seated at one of the rounded booths. Perfect! Lynn, our server, was quick to introduce herself. She did a fantastic job taking care of us without hovering. Food came out timely yet we never felt rushed. We had an appetizer (shrimp cocktail), wedge salad, a main course each (snapper, shrimp & grits), a shareable side (okra), and key lime pie to go. Everything was delicious and fresh. Only bummer is they did not have the flounder. I guess we need to go back :) You can tell they take pride in serving fresh seafood and prime steaks. read more

The food is pretty good, but the service was not good at all. Not sure if it's because we sat on the patio, but we waited 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table to get our drink order (after we went inside to ask for someone to come take our order). Service never improved after that either. We had to go back inside to ask for our waiter to come back out and refresh water and take another drink order. It took forever for each food course to come out too and we had small children with us. We complained to the manager after we had gotten the bill and put our credit cards down. The bill came back $20 more expensive. To make up for the mistake, we were given a $25 credit and one of our drinks - a happy hour old fashioned for $9 - for free. That was the cheapest of all of our drinks, and 5 adults were drinking. Not a great experience. read more

Decent food and nice ambience, but: Over 2 hours wait for our main courses on a prix fixe menu, no apology from the manager, despite a visit to the table at the 2-hour-fifteen-minute mark. Then, no coffee! Lots of dishes prepared with common allergens (tree nuts) not listed on the menu, no warning. Also: dirty silverware with food stuck to it was given to us twice during the meal. All of this was for Thanksgiving - fairly unforgivable in my opinion. This is a casual restaurant with pretensions of fine dining - but make no mistake, the prices are set at fine dining level. read more

A fairly recent built restaurant in a new shopping center on hwy 98 the snapper & grouper were really good, service excellent and attentive. Ambiance was professional with a good following of high end customers. Plenty of parking. This place was in my top 3 restaurants I eat at in the immediate area. read more

Well, despite outward appearance (and that's your run-of-the-mill Florida strip mall restaurant), Ambrosia lives up to Its name. It was surprisingly delicious and has an "especially pleasing taste." They got points out of the gate for accepting reservations. For some reason, restaurants down here at 30A seem to pride themselves on their "first come, first served" approach so it is refreshing to find establishments who still respect order, proactive behavior, and my time. This all showing up like sheep ready to be sheared at the same time and then standing around for 45-90 minutes waiting on a table and hoping after all this that the food and service isn't sub-par? I don't know about you but in sf ont have time for foolishness like this. Ambrosia understands. The staff were friendly start to finish, from the hostess stand to the busser to the server, everyone was vivacious, attentive, and gracious And, most importantly, the food. The menu is diverse without being too extensive. Everything seemed well-thought out and meticulously planned. All of our meals came out together, on time, were served at the proper temperature and were beyond delicious. I give it a resounding two forks up. Bravo. read more

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. A small group of us went and had dinner at Ambrosia, and we all really enjoyed it. Terraine, our server, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and very honest with us about the menu, which we appreciated. I had the scallops as an entree, and it was by far the best scallop dish I've ever had. Prior to the main dish, we ordered several appetizers, which included the deviled eggs, escargot, crab cakes, and the NOLA style oysters. They were all excellent. The ambiance was perfect, the wine and drinks were incredible, and the food was amazing. Thank you, Terraine, chef, and staff for an excellent small business Christmas party. read more

In all fairness this restaurant is new and going through some changes in the kitchen. We gave it a try for the first time. Our bill after tip was $342.48 which included a bottle of wine around $75. For the price the food was not up to par I'm sure due to the changes. My husband had the Crab Cake and I had a mid-rare Petite Filet for our entrees. My steak was an end cut of filet which really should be used for medium-well or well-done steaks. We ordered Escargot, a Caesar Salad and Pink Moon Oysters to start. We had to send the oysters back the first time because the shucker absolutely mutilated them. See photo. For the price they needed to be right. The second oysters that came out were great. After sending back the oysters we didn't want to send back the steak as well. The steak flavor was good but the tenderness and temperature was not there. We also ordered the Truffle Mashed Potatoes. Again, the flavor was good but they were very runny. Rebecca the waitress was impeccable! A wonderful personality, eager to please and very attentive. She really did a great job and should be commended! Entire staff was very friendly from the hostess stand and on. Decor was lovely, lighting was great and an overall nice atmosphere. On our way out we discovered the AWESOME bar near the entrance hidden behind the wine room! We wish we would have seen it on the way in! Very reminiscent of a New Orleans style bar. Swanky! We will definitely come back and give it another try and hopefully the new chef will have recipes and operations tweaked to perfection. Had the food been worth the price I would have given a 10 star if I could! read more

This restaurant is situated in a newly (still in progress of development) built shopping area called Watersound. The interior gives a feel of cosmopolitan with contemporary- you can tell they spent time thinking about the details, even down to the substantial menu covers to the script font. Well put together. The raw oysters melt in your mouth and were served very chilled. I am not much of a cocktail lover but the Dragonfruit Margarita was well balanced. The Fruits de Mer had the biggest scallops cooked to perfection! They were sweet and light. I really enjoyed the Wedge Salad. It was topped with creamy blue cheese with bits crispy bacon. Delicious. The best 5-star restaurant on 30-A! We all had seafood, and the scallops, crab cake, and stuffed flounder were superb! The service was outstanding, especially our server Camilla (ask for her). We dined at Ambrosia for the first time last night. It was absolutely delicious. It was everything you would expect for a fine dining experience. Lynn, our server, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Ask for one of their booths if they are available. The seating was extremely comfortable. We can't wait to return to Ambrosia for another scrumptious meal. Be sure and make a reservation now and ask for Lynn. Thanks again!!! read more

Ambrosia was incredible. The food was delicious and the staff were all very well trained. They were always filling our drinks and making sure all was right with us. This is absolutely the best food in 30A. The restaurant itself was beautiful. It is all white; it truly makes you feel like you are at the beach! Ambitious and overpriced restaurant with terrible service. Food was average (oysters were small and tasteless). However the main negative point was the service. Our dinner took 2.5 hours! Well, we had a party of 6, which slows down the choices, but not to that extent. For example, after ordering a bottle of champagne we waited for 15 min just to get the waiter back saying that they ran out of that particular brand and then waited another 15 min to get the brand they had. Amazingly they have a zillion of servants running around just to do weird things like suddenly pouring tapped water with ice into your glass with sparkling Pellegrino... Will never go to this place again. read more

The edamame hummus was weird. It didn't have a ton of flavor and the wasabi peas and ginger on top were just strange. The Brussels sprouts and shrimp wraps were good. The shrimp wrap was probably our favorite app. For my entree, I got Sandor's ravioli. It was good, but not hot. The ravioli was handmade and very cheesy. The fish was perfectly blackened. Unfortunately our bride's steak was undercooked and she didn't want to send it back after the long wait and waitress attitude. I got the key lime pie to go and it took forever to get it. We had to ask another server to get it. It was amazing, but not worth the hold up after an already negative experience. We let the manager know about our experience and while they were very apologetic and offered us a discount, our experience was what it was and we had already paid. I appreciate their acknowledgment and offer to make it right.

This is the third time this has happened. Someone walks in and the entire staff acts like they're Beyoncé. Upon leaving, the manager looks at us and says nothing.
