Avoid this location at all cost!!!! I bought my tires and the whole extra policy from America's tire in Riverside,ca and never had problems getting my tires rotated and air checked. Riverside or Chino Hills, These two shops gave excellent customer service. Today I had my niece take my vehicle into Fullerton to be told that my policy is not on file. They told her that they checked the tires and they were fine with a number from a chart. Not once was the vehicle moved or even got air checked. Now this was her first time running this type of errand and trusted the employee. If I was there in person, this would not have happened since I would have talked to the manager about their $$$ policy I paid for. I will never use this shop and will advise everyone to take their money to another location. I have been coming to America's tires for years, to its many locations in so-cal. This is my first time at this location. The staff, Eddie and Alejandro are very polite and extremely knowledgeable. Went in for a quick repair for a leak, but the tire wasn't able to be repaired, so they gave me a new one, since i was under their warranty. Service done in less than 1 hour. Total was supposed to be almost $250-$300 without warranty, but I paid only $39. Definitely recommend!!! read more

I came in here for a tire rotation but found out that one of it was running thin so I had to replace it. I was told that they had it in stock and it would take about 1 hour to finish. However, after 50 minutes of wait and they finally told me that they had to special order it and I would have to come back. I wasn't very happy with it as I just wasted almost 1 hour for nothing. However, the manager Eddie called me back within a hour and told me they had the tire delivered and I could go back to get it done. He apologized for it and made sure I would be taken care of right away once I come back in. I understand these things happen and I appreciate Eddie's taking the initiative to follow up and make sure customers are heard and taken care of. To reiterate: I've been a Discount Tire customer for 30 years, first in San Diego, and now, since moving to the OC, this location in Fullerton. This is an update to my previous review. I have to say, based on my experience today, service has slipped. We made a 9:30 appointment on Friday because my wife had a flat. She has really good Michelin tires and somehow a spring-part with rabbit ears became stuck in the sidewall. We arrived a little early. We stood waiting for 15 minutes. We had two customers ahead of us. There were really just two agents in the office. They took phone calls that could last 10 minutes. Thus, people calling in had priority over people waiting in the lobby. As we suspected, we were warned that a sidewall puncture cannot be repaired, that we might be looking at a new tire. After the initial contact, we retreated to the Starbucks across the street. We were called fairly quickly and told the bad news that the tire could not be repaired. A comparable Michelin tire was over $300, and, prorated, would cost us $171. OK, my bad for not getting the tire protection. We were told the car would be ready in 10-15 minutes. We headed back to the shop. When we arrived, our car was not in the bay. We figured it was ready. However, once again, we had to stand and wait another 10-15 minutes before we could be helped. I think the gentleman wanted to help me before the woman in front of me, but I did not deem that fair to her. I think that those customers with appointments should have a separate counter or register to be helped. And they really have to have more people working the counters. Waiting 15 minutes just to talk to someone is excessive. They are a busy shop. Good for them. As for me, after reading reviews that echo my experience of service having slipped at this locaton and, in some instances, a feeling of being deceived, I will be going to Costco for both our cars. Customer service alone gets a 10/10, staff was really friendly and the guy who helped me out was great. He lived local and we talked for a bit about the area and things around. Got 4 new tires after I was offered different options to see which ones I preferred with price and all. Gave me a great time estimate even though I came in last minute and was done right on time. I had an overall good experience at this America's Tire location. I came in due to a flat tire. I pumped some air into the tire and head over in the morning. I arrived just before they opened on a Monday morning ~7:50am and the advisors started checking in customers. I don't remember my advisors name but he looked over my tire and noticed a nail in the center. He shared that they would attempt to patch it but also explained my current tire tread and whether I may need new tires. I appreciate his thoroughness and explanation! The tech took my keys and got started quickly. The techs kept me informed while waiting that they were able to patch it and no new tires were needed. They were done in just under 45 minutes and the patch was free! I went in with super bald tires the metal was showing through I thought it was just gravel r from the road but nope it was actually metal threads coming through tires. I had to leave my car over night I was afraid to drive it for fear the tires would blow out on me. They were so nice they hooked me up with 4 new tires from Goodyear and they shined up my rims too. I have always loved America's Tire because they inflate and patch my tires for free. I recently bought a Tesla and in the first week I ran over a nail. I first went to Tesla Service Center since the car is brand new and they said it would cost $120 to plug the hole, but if they can't then it would be $470 for a tire replacement. I searched the Tesla forum and they said to just go to a tire shop since it's just tires, so I headed to the nearest America's Tire. They attempted to repair it but the nail was long and damaged the tire wall, so I had to replace the tire for $400. They had the identical Tesla Good Year tire with foam inside. Went to this location for this first time as they were the only one within 50 miles that had my tires in stock without a special order. Cole helped me check wear on my old tires and mentioned how they were in great shape. I knew they only had 30k miles on them. I was sizing up and was planning to put the old set on our other vehicle. Asked him to please save the olds for us, pointing to the other vehicle that we were planning on putting the olds on. He agreed it was a good idea, and wrote it on the invoice to save the olds. He then told us a story about how his manager let him sell a set of 4 old tires on OfferUp that nobody claimed for $1000 and his boss wanted a chunk of 10% for letting him do it. We didn't think much of it just that it was a bit odd, and left to get food for the hour while they worked on it. Vehicle is ready 45 minutes later. We drive over and I go in. Cole gives me my keys and says "Hey I'm going to grab your olds so we can load them just sit tight" Suddenly there is an issue. They cannot find my 4th old tire. It seems that it has vanished magically into thin air. He goes around looking for about 10 minutes. He asks the other techs who worked on my vehicle if they have seen that 4th tire. They have not seen it. WTF is going on? They just had my vehicle on the rack and the techs who work on tires everyday don't know where they set tires when taking them off a vehicle? They have no procedure? Techs are mostly young and college aged car guys so I know they are sharp on car stuff. We get some sort of explanation that a random box truck comes to pick up their old tires and there's a slim chance that those guys must've grabbed one of my old tires and thrown it in and driven off. Me: "Ok. So let's call them then to bring it back." "We don't have their number, we can't call them." Me: "Ok let's check the security cameras to see where it went" "We don't have security cameras" Me: "Ok well we're going to need to figure this out somehow then. This isn't acceptable." "We can take off the tire recycling fee" Me: "That's not going to work, that tire was still worth way more than that and is still under warranty." Shop Manager comes over and takes us into the office to "get this sorted out" He sticks to the same story that some guys in a truck come to the shop to grab olds, and grabbed only one tire. This all happened perfectly in the short window that my vehicle was on the rack. What a coincidence. Very unfortunate for me. Just bad luck I guess. We tell them that they will need to pull my vehicle back in and remove all 4 new tires, refund me, reinstall the 3 olds they have still and figure out how to get me a 4th tire again. Manager says it is impossible to find a tire in similar wear, and he will give us a brand new tire in the old size to make up for it instead. We get a free tire in the old size, but now we have to go source a used tire with similar wear that we do not know the history of. After all of this I walk out to my vehicle to inspect the work and find that they gouged deep chunks out of 2 of my rims with the bar on the tire changing machine. RIMS ARE $300 EACH. WTF. There was no damage when I left the truck. Impossible that I curbed these wheels as the sidewall goes out thicker than the rim. Not sure where the 4th tire went, and we may never know. But based on the OfferUp story I heard in the beginning, I'm not sure what else to assume happened. Disappointed. I was told by AAA that the hole in my tire was repairable. Americas tire has free tire repair. I think this free tire repair is a Total Scam to sell me new tires I didn't need. Now that I think about it I don't trust them after reading other comments on the internet. They gave me all bad recommendations as to not keep my other good tire as a replaced the 2 rear. When I look at the hole a screwdriver can be held securely in the tire. Tried to sell me one expensive tire not matching the make and model of my rear punctured tire, or 2 cheaper tires as a pair. When I called back later the same day to get my other tire, I was told it was picked up and not at the store. I just felt lied to throughout the whole process. Service was fast and with a smile but I felt that is empty and worthless without the substance or recommending the honestly what you need or the feeling that they are telling the truth. I read some reviews with other tire shops where one shop said it was not repairable and the other fixed it with little to no charge. Perhaps the shop can respond back and I will take this review off. Eddie and his crew took care of me after a bad experience with a Subaru Forester and the studs on my wheels. Subaru uses a soft metal for the studs which the lugs mount on. These often fail resulting in the inability to replace a tire without replacing the studs The manager at Subaru even confirmed this with me. Luckily Subaru is across the street. America's Tire is a very busy store, so it makes sense to make an appointment if you can. I think they're busy because they're doing a good service. They also fit me in quickly to take care of a repair. I hope to not see you guys for another few years for my next set. My tire needed patching and I was told it would be 2 hours just to determine if it can be patched or needs to be replaced. One of my tires popped and I came in here for a new tire. Team member Anthony was very helpful and noticed my front tires were low on tread, and should be replaced. Also noticed that I needed new wiper blades. All very helpful, but I told him I was budgeting my finances and would come back next month. He suggested their credit card but I don't want to incrue debt right now. I pay for my tires when Store manager Josh comes and tells me about my tires again, how they're low on tread and need replacing. I told him what I told Anthony, that I'm in a budget but I'll come by next month. But while I'm waiting for my car to be finished, I hear Josh and Anthony laughing about my car and making fun of it. Saying how crazy it is that I can't get new tires, or that I refused the wiper blades. They were saying "I think those are the original tires" and snickering. I almost couldn't believe it. I turned my head to make sure I was seeing what I was hearing and when I moved they started to whisper. Needless to say I won't be coming back here next month for my new tires, or any other Americas tire at that. I'll find any other tire shop that doesn't treat you like a second class citizen. Always seem to have tire issues around or near my birthday, but this location has the nicest staff. They're so friendly and greets you so nicely on the crappiest moments bc of your flat tires. They're knowledgeable and truthful! They've never pushed sales.
