We have 5 cars in the family. This shop has put 4 tires on 3 of them and maintain the other 2. I took the time to write this review because the team at this shop is quick, honest, and caring. The last 4 tires were for my wife's car while I was out of town on business. The sales person, I wish we knew his name, treated her very professionally and made a tire suggestion that turned out to be wonderful for us. Usually they offer impeccable service, except for this time. Don't get me wrong it was ok, but what happened should not have occurred. 1. I purchased 2 tires and I asked one guy how much air they put in the tires and he said 35 psi. I don't have the smoothest ride, but after driving it for a couple days it was vibrating more than usual. I check the air pressure, and find out they only put air in my 2 new tires NOT the other 2 that remained. That should have been protocol. 2 of them had 35 psi and the other 2 had 30 psi. After putting the same amount of air, the excess vibrations stopped. 2. I was about to leave, to find out they did not give me one of the tires they had changed, in order to use it as a spare tire. So not good. I live in Mecca and that mistake would have cost me money to drive all the way back there to pick it up. read more

Yesterday I went in for a free tire rotation and free balancing on the 4 Michelin tires that I bought here some 20,000 miles ago. Since I had an appointment I was a little disheartened to see a line of 9 people in line ahead of me to just consult with one of the attendants. I finally got to talk to Brandon at exactly my 8:30 appointment time. He told me they would get right on it as I had an appointment. I was on the road 40 minutes later. It's typical of the great service I have always received with all 3 sets of tires I have purchased here. I neglected to write a review when I had a tire failure in Mission Valley on the newest set about 3 days after I purchased them. More than a little upset, I called Larry, the Indio manager, while waiting for a AAA tow. Larry, clearly sympathetic to my situation, recommended that the tow truck driver take me the company store a couple of miles away in Kearny Mesa. Once dropped at that store I was on my way within 20 minutes with zero cost to me. What more can you ask for? I drive to San Diego or Los Angeles often. I always stop here first to check the tire pressure - a free service. Some would consider this non-revenue activity a pain in the posterior. But, I have yet to encounter an attendant who did not cheerfully perform it, plus one of them recommended I stay to check on a possible slow leak. Sure enough, they found a small nail in the tire and fixed for free. 'Nuff said. Larry runs a great shop and has nothing but customer focused employees. read more

I visited this store after being recommended by Big O tires and ho wanted to charge me $40 dollars to fix a simple flat. I arrived at America's tire in La Quinta where I explain d to sales person I have a nail in my left front tire. Sales person says me problem and no charge. We will take car of it. And check all your other tires. This should have registered as a red flag. So I went next store to get some food. 5 minutes service called saying I have a flat on my right side tire. That can not be repaired. I would need a new tire. They said it was a thorn. My fault that I was busy and said go ahead. Fix it. I regret giving them opportunity to take advantage of my honesty and a first time visit. There was no indication on my car saying I have trouble with my right tire only my left. As stated before Big O tires did the inspection and found no other problems but my left tire. I guess nothing is free???? Good luck. Karmas a bitch. read more

Larry, (Manager) Has a exceptional group of employees at this location. Referred by AAA I made a appointment online. I missed my appointment, and John followed up with a phone call said, sorry you missed your appointment (I had overslept). Would you like to come in? I will be honest I did come in around noon and they were swamped. I went to their competitor and they found nothing wrong. Tire was bothering me so I decided to come to this location this evening. I was impressed. The employees greeted every single person through the door. They found the issue. Told them I was on fixed income and didn't get paid till the 18th. They said no problem, we will get you a loaner if needed until then. They ended up replacing my tire. No questions asked, no selling. This is one place I highly recommend Michael, John, Omar and a few others I didn't get their names, so very helpful. Now even though I was joking around with them, because a few of the guys are San Diego Charger fans (sorry, ha ha ) and I am a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, the atmosphere was warm friendly and inviting. One employee even mentioned he has worked for the company since he was fifteen. To me that is dedication. You need tires, wheels, rims, a repair this is definitely the place to go. They did not fix the problem that day and it took a couple phone calls before this issue was resolved. Staff members tried to hide issue. Shady. read more

I have been using this company for probably 15+ years and have always had exceptional service. Yesterday was no exception. I was in Indio on my way home when my car alerted me to a tire pressure problem. I was within a few miles of this business and drove straight there but they had just closed. When I got out of my car, I could hear my tire whistling as the air was pouring out quickly. I needed help ASAP. I rattled the door and they let me in and made an exception to help me and I got my new tire in record time. No hassle, but same amazing service I have become accustom to with their staff. Ok so I decided to give this place another try. I took time off from work and made an appointment to have the tires rotated on my husband's truck. They took me at my appointment time and assured me that I would be out quickly. So they tell me that I am done but instead of handing me the keys they say that Tyler needs to talk to me. WTH??? He tries to explain that they stripped one of the lug nuts but not to worry because they will pay for the repair - well duh. The problem is who is going to pay me for time, gas, and trouble to make another appointment, take more time off from work, drive to the other side of town to correct their mistake. Terrible service, I missed my appointment by 15 min. No advisor was helping clients with appointments. My appointment was at 10:15,I got there at 10:28 and I had to wait in line was until 10:55 to be helped. The order was processed and from there the wait was until after 12:45. I came into Americas Tires today with an appointment to get 4 news tires put on my gmc that we ordered a week ago. When I checked in for my appointment, they realized my tires were sold yesterday so they upgraded my tires at no additional cost and was given a rebate on the Bridgestone tires also. Bought a used BMW that had 12 yo tires on the front and needed replacement SOON even though the tread looked great. (the desert can 'eat' tires)This car has different-size tires on the front and back PLUS tires are designated to be mounted as 'outside' and 'inside.' In addition I wanted the same brand and tread design if possible since the back tires were near new. I was told these tires were being phased out by the manufacturer and possibly weren't available. I thought I would be classified as a 'difficult customer' - but no, they found a matched pair in Riverside, had them shipped in and mounted on Monday. Additionally, they told me they would not sell tires older than 8 months from the Manufacture date. How awesome is this service?! AND, they were at a great discounted/discontinued price! I saved a lot of time, money, and hassle with these folks. Even better, Discount Tires is an affiliate, so I can get the same great service up and down the west coast. By the way, I got to watch them mount them since the car was on the outside bay by the waiting room - I watched them buff/clean off the discs (car never was driven much) clean the spindles and wipe down the chrome wheels. I have never seen a busier tire store and now know why. read more

Today has been an all around pain in the neck with Americas Tire at two different locations. Yesterday I called the Indio location to check availability on a set of tires. The salesman gave pricing and verified they had six in inventory. I headed down right after with the expectation and hope the work would be completed. Once I started the paperwork the salesman went to physically verify he had the tires. After some searching he let me know he only had one. Thats fine, he offered to order it and stated it would be in by 9am the next day. This morning I call to check if the order had arrived. I was told it had, and they now physically had the set I needed. I made the trek, found my original salesman, confirmed they did have my order then began waiting. After two hours of waiting they finally pull the truck in. They pull one wheel off but let the truck sit. I watch as it sat untouched for twenty minutes. Finally I approach the technician to ask if there is a problem. The problem is they no longer have the tires I ordered. I head back into the showroom to speak with the salesman. He must have seen me upset so he waved me over. He asked if there is a problem so I said your tech says the tires aren't here. He informs me he just found out himself. At this point I've spent two and a half hours at Americas Tire. His coworker and him banter back and forth in front of me; apparently the coworker sold my tires. There was no offer to make things right nor any respect for my time. I received a refund and left. I call the Palm Desert location to check availability and was told yes they have it. I set an appointment this time and head over. After waiting 90 mins past my appointment I ask an employee where I'm at in the queue. I was never checked in. I dob't know if its Thursday thing but this has been a pretty horrible experience. Sorry Americas Tire but you get 1 star today. read more
