Such a cute hidden spot for brunch in Sausalito! My friend and I came based on Yelp reviews and weren't disappointed. We arrived on a Sunday around noon but they still had plenty of seats so we could sit down quickly (they don't take reservations). Interior design reminded me of one of those pubs/restaurants you would find near the water- lot of nautical designs and such. Servers in general were quick and we got our food quickly too (maybe a 10 min wait?). Can I first just say how extensive their omelette selection was? They had 25+ different omelette options so most likely if you want folded eggs for lunch, you can find something here. -Popeye Omelette (spinach, Italian sausage, mushroom, and cheeses)- I ordered this one and it certainly was a loaded omelette (which thankfully I was craving). Even with the sausage and cheeses, it thankfully was not salty but was super flavorful. Veggies provided a nice contrast to the heavy proteins and made you feel less guilty by giving you a decent portion of veggies in your omelette -Mexican (steak, avocado, sour cream, cheese, jalapeno, fresh salsa)- my friend ordered this one; a bit heavier than the popeye but the jalapenos provide a decent kick to it for those who like spicy foods. However, my friend commented that he liked the Popeye omelette over his choice. I will note that the potatoes that come with the omelette were super salty and peppery- it almost formed a crust on the outside of some pieces and I had to cut around them. If I am in the area again and am going to go for a hike, I'd come back here to load up with a yummy omelette for my hike! read more

Came on a Saturday for brunch and the parking lot was full (they have limited parking in the front - unsure of the parking spaces in the back as they looked to be reserved for the other businesses around). Stopped by this cute eatery near the harbor for breakfast. The restaurant was filled with locals. The owner came to our table and greeted us and offered great suggestions. Food was great. They served the usual breakfast fare and many Mexican breakfast dishes. The portions were also generous. It is obvious the owner and staff take great pride in their restaurant. FOOD: Variety of Benedict's like bacon avocado, apple sausage, crab, and veggie; hash browns, potatoes, fruit bowl side options; they have Omelets filled with whatever a girl could want; offer pancakes and waffles; Mexican breakfast options with a variety of hot sauces. Really, their house hot sauce is so good I almost forked my sister for killing it. I really want more of that hot sauce - I didn't even eat my side of hollandaise on my chicken Benedict because the hot sauce was so freak'n good - it's like smooth salsa with perfect heat. Ok, maybe it is salsa but I swear they said hot sauce. Whatever it is, it is fantastic. Mimosas: real easy to drink - sweet, fresh, with the pulp (though I'm sure you could get it without pulp). I found out about Anchorage 5 from a coworker. He kept talking about this place in Sausalito that had the best corn beef hash. The next best corn beef hash I ever had is from a can. Now, the only time I will eat corn beef hash is if I'm camping, at a friends house or for dinner if its the last thing we have at the house, so I would have the stuff sporadically. At first, I thought this place was in the touristy part of Sausalito but nope, it's tucked behind commercial buildings along the water. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a nautical time warp. The place looked like it hasn't changed since the early 80's. I wasn't too concerned about the decor, I wanted to see what the hub bub was about the corn beef hash. We were greeted by a friendly server and took our drink orders immediately, afterwards he took our orders and our food came out in about 10-15 min. For the corned beef hash, instead of bread, I orders corn tortillas on the side. The verdict? The corn beef hash tasted superb! Definitely not from a can, I can tell it was made fresh and had some crisp in it, just the way I like it. The corn tortillas went very well with the corn beef hash. I came here during a day trip to Sausalito/Marin with a group of friends. We all enjoyed it enough, but I wouldn't say it's worth a drive if you're coming from out of town. I wish their breakfast menu had a few more items that weren't so focused on eggs. They had a HUGE omelette selection, but that took up most of the menu. I ended up getting the Yukon omelette, which has spinach and artichoke hearts. I thought it was good, but wasn't really amazed by it. I did like the hash browns that were served with it. How could you go wrong with potatoes?! The restaurant has a nice quaint feel to it and friendly servers. We came with an appetite and ordered the crab melt with side salad, salmon eggs Benedict with fruit, and a bowl of clam chowder. The crab melt was fairly bland, with the crab and cheese together as a indistinguishable mush on a slice of sourdough bread. The Benedict was a bit more flavorful, well made, and with tasty salmon. The clam chowder was decent with hearty chunks of potato and bacon, although lacking in the clam and less thick than we'd prefer. The fruit and the side salads that came with the plates were predictably fairly awful. Overall, we'd probably give this place a 2.5 star rating (using 2 star as average) but given the reasonable prices and friendly service, we bumped it up to a 3. read more

I used to come here every month or so with my wife. She and her mother have been visiting for years. They know the owners and the servers. It's a welcoming environment and a local breakfast place. The food is really good. They have a nice selection of omelettes (27 on the menu). I try to order a different one each time. My wife is addicted to the huevos montana, which is one of Anchorage's specialties. The location can be a little hard to find, since it's a couple of winding blocks off the main strip, but it's worth it. Tried a new place in town. I got the Huevos Montana. It was surprisingly light, but very filling. The portions are appropriate vs. cost for Sausalito. Our coffee cups never went empty. When it comes to local breakfast joints we usually go to Bayside because it's cheaper and they have huge servings, but the they are hit or miss on quality. Lighthouse is at the same price point as Anchorage, but the wait is crazy. This is place is a good compromise for a higher quality/pricier breakfast with good service. read more
