A great corner location for some delicious breakfast and coffee. We shared the Cajun chicken and waffles and opted for the two egg two waffle Combo. We were torn between the Cajun chicken vs the Texas fried chicken so ordering a side of the Texas style checked that curiosity box. The Lavender Latte is made with two lavender pumps but I requested just one and the lavender flavor was perfectly balanced ... not overpowering the coffee. Service was friendly and helpful as this was our first visit so the server's suggestions made it easy for us to make our final decisions. A five star " best waffle spot" in the LBC. For & Waffles

This was a really delicious skillet. It was packed full of potatoes. They didn't skimp out on anything. The service was also pretty fast for it being super busy. I would definitely eat here again!

This restaurant is in downtown Long Beach. A garage is conveniently located next door. The restaurant has cute decor and indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The waffles were delicious. The chicken fried steak was pretty good. The eggs and potatoes needed seasoning, but I understand that most breakfast restaurants do not use much seasoning. They provided three different types of hot sauce, so I was satisfied.

We stopped into this place because it was next-door to our auto rental location. It's one of the best breakfast places we've ever been. The waffles are massive, but so incredibly light. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the staff was so incredibly nice. It's such a cute place in the middle of the city. We really loved it.

They'll keep you hydrated..and how cute is the iced tea refill?!?!

We had a great experience here. We had never been and were curious about some menu items. The owner took our order. He was very patient, answering all my questions and giving recommendations. The breakfast was great, but the standout was the carryout burger we got for our kiddo. The burger was phenomenal. Great service, tasty food, and an easy walk from hotels near the mall and convention center.

Everything was delicious and the service was great. Eat here, you won't regret it. We had a combination of breakfast dishes and one lunch item - the steak sandwich with a side of salad. The breakfast items were perfectly done and they even split two of them up for us to share. Eggs and proteins were cooked just as we asked and then there's the star of the show: the waffles. These are some of the best "American style" (my terminology, not theirs) Belgian waffles I've ever had. They're light, fluffy inside and not very sweet- the ultimate Asian diner compliment. That's probably because they pair their waffles with everything from chicken to sausage to bacon to churro-ifying them, so a balanced base lets them use their waffles as the foundation for many different dishes. Ultimately what matters is the taste, and these did not disappoint! The steak sandwich was also great and delicious, meat cooked perfectly, with arugula helping add a flavor dimension to balance out the richness of the steak. The decor of the restaurant is a mix of modern industrial (like a breakfast Chipotle) and a hint of old American diner. It's clean and comfortable if a little lacking in pizazz. This is the first review I've written that uses that word. It will probably be the last. Anyways, eat here! It's great.

Lavender honey latte. It was very sweet!

I visited this waffle spot twice, once for dine-in and once for a to-go order. The dine-in experience was fantastic. I loved the clean, spacious interior and stylish decor. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Cajun chicken wings and waffle. The wings were freshly fried hot, juicy, and crispy but they were a bit lacking in flavor. The waffle, though, was amazing: light, fluffy, crispy on the outside, and served hot. Just a tip: the powdered sugar and butter look beautiful on top, but I recommend getting the butter on the side so the waffle doesn't get soggy too quickly. The honey lavender latte tasted great, just very sweet. Unfortunately, the next morning's to-go order wasn't as good. I know it's tough to keep quality high with takeout, but the waffle was soggy, the eggs were hard, and only the bacon stood out. The breakfast feels a bit pricey for what you get, but it's a nice occasional treat.

This breakfast restaurant continues to be my go to when I'm visiting Long Beach. The food is very good, I had the Cajun breakfast scramble in. It may have been one of the best scrambles I've ever had and this is what I typically order when I go out to breakfast and I feel is the measure of a good breakfast restaurant. Plenty of seating, free parking close by which is a huge plus, near all the Long Beach convention center hotels and the service is exemplary. I'd be hard pressed to find a better breakfast place not just in Long Beach but anywhere, highly recommended.

This is a cool chicken & waffles restaurant. The owners are French/Armenian and have added some items to their menu which are influenced by their heritage. There's also a very large, shaded outdoor patio.

Hands down one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had in my life. We came on a Monday morning at about 1030 and it was not too crowded. It definitely started to fill up after 11 AM. Our waitress was super nice and had recommendations for us. I decided to go with the waffle stuffed with sausage. It was the best waffle I've ever had in my life. My spouse had the chicken and waffles. He could not stop raving over how well the chicken was cooked and how delicious it was. Next time we are in Long Beach we will definitely be back. This place is amazing.

Been waiting for the place to open up and finally had the opportunity to go! I got a Waffle Combo with Strawberry & Nutella toppings. This comes with 3 eggs, 2 bacon, and 2 sausage (I had them substitute sausage for more bacon). Partner got Cajun Fried Chicken and Waffles with 3 eggs. We overall like the food, definitely would go again. They are ADA and dog friendly. They also have indoor and outside seating. Service is on top of it and accommodating as well.

Honestly just alright for a breakfast spot. I ordered the avocado toast which was tasty although kind of small. Also got the home fries which were very underwhelming. Kind of tasted just like soggy potatoes without much flavor. Should've just gotten fries as a side instead! My latte was very pretty, served in a mason jar with these nice layers of espresso and milk, although it was a bit too sweet for my taste. All in all, not a bad spot for brunch although I'm not sure I'd go back when there are other spots to try.

Are these the best waffles I've ever had in my life? Absolutely. Do they also have delicious lattes? YES! I was blown away by my experience here and couldn't believe how delicious the food was. I ordered a vanilla oat latte (10/10 and taste like it came from a local coffee shop), the sausage infused waffle (100/10), a side of fried chicken (9.5/10, so juicy and well seasoned) and the breakfast potatoes (would skip). Overall everything came out hot, fresh and delicious. Service was great and everyone was kind and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and more spacious than it looked, but they should get some fans to deter any flies coming from outside since the door was open. Overall, I love this place and will 100% be back.

We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

It's right in Belmont and one neighborhood away from the water. Great date place and bar too. 2026 update: This breaks my heart. The menu has changed, the chef has definitely changed and service has unfortunately gone down. First off they cut a good portion of the menu and the physical design is not the easiest to read. (that's not really a problem tbh but it's something to note) What is the problem are the following: Ordering food for 3 took 20 minutes for servers to come, get food, and water + drinks we ordered. food took almost 45 minutes to arrive at the table. I get the kitchen makes a lot of stuff but this is crazy. at this point we were here for over an hour without eating. Not only were the orders wrong but also food portions were noticeably smaller. Credit due here, they fixed that (ofc which takes an extra time). Final straw here: To get someone's attention, get the bill, then for them to come get the bill, pay, and give us our cards back took: TWENTY MINUTES. Just to pay. tldr: food prices went up, staff not attentive, food still decent but different chef. Food is noticeably saltier. Probably one of the best smelling restrooms I had ever. When I was leaving, I politely ask the hostess if she knew what the name of the smell was bc it was so awesome. She wasn't telling me the exact name. She essentially told me the essence. While in the middle of her talking, a female manager aggressively told us that they were not aloud to tell patrons the scent. Hey, I get it, but as a person who was a manager for one of the highest ranking upscale casual dining restaurants, who has worked in 5 star resorts, knowing how to provide kindness to both guests and staff, this manager did not present those skills. This manager was quite frankly disrespectful not only to her staff, but to me. There is a way to handle situations without embarrassing your staff member and making them feel small and showcasing your flex of power to a diner who was about to drop hundreds for a dinner in our volatile economy. This manager did NOT handle this appropriately. Like i said, she was rude, extremely aggressive to respond, and not once smiled and said, "I'm so glad you love it. It's our secret to get you to come back." She did try to say it was a secret, but seriously... with the way she treated her staff.... I think she better focus on hospitality rather than the scent in the bathroom. After this interaction, I actually watched and observed the manager during the remaining time of our dinner. I wanted to see how she interacted with her staff. I wanted to see if she knew how to manage without flexing on her staff bc obviously she doesn't know that words matter and what you say and how you say it can make or break your staff's entire night which can reflect on how they treat their guests. I get this is lengthy over a restroom scent, but as a person who thrives on seeing the beauty in how a management team can make a huge impact on the success of a company, if she's openly rude and aggressive to me and her hostess, how is she with the rest of the staff and guests? Just a little food for thought. I will say, that interaction totally changed my view for the remaining time of our dinner. I truly hope that the female manager who was working last night June 1 reads this and changes the way she handles situations. From what I saw and experienced, she needs to take a step back and regroup. She needs to be retrained on how to treat her staff, how to smile with kindness, and how to kindly make a joke about the scent kindly with laughter rather than an attack on her staff. To the hostess: I'm sorry you had to be treated that way. You were incredibly kind from upon greeting us even to the very end. You're awesome. I'll return back, but I do hope next time, the manager from last night is on a better wave length as the people who help create her position. There are a lot of great managers out there willing to take that place.
