    Half of waffle
    Vera M.

Okay, this place is very good, in comparison to the other eateries out there, the price range is pretty competitive with most Breakfast spots. Only here, you definitely get value for you're money! For instance, they're waffles you get two whole waffles, which is considered a half waffle, then there's the full, which is four squares, they are light and crispy and so ever delicious! And the bacon Omg! Freshly prepared thick applewood bacon, and if you Iike cornbeef hash, it's very good as well! Coffee is delicious as well. Now parking is a little tricky, there's a under ground parking structure with an elevator, you take a ticket and the restaurant will validate up to two hours for you, so that's a plus for them, as you know how hectic downtown parking can be. The restrooms are nice and clean. The overall customer service is great as well, they give you a very warm welcome through the front door, I was greeted like a queen lol! With that being said I would return again and again! And by the way they can accommodate large parties, this time it was 15 of us.

Tried the Cajun country skillet it was so delicious. From the gravy flavor, to the Cajun chicken flavor, to the eggs to the house potatoes everything was delicious. It is a generous portion had to take the rest to go.

Been wanting to try this place and during race weekend I met my friend there right next to the metro station. It was a little busy but my friend was already waiting for me. It's a nice open restaurant with a lot of seating and a covered patio outdoors. I kept my choice simple and had bacon and eggs and it was delicious. Fluffy eggs, plenty of bacon and crispy hash browns. The sourdough was good but I wished more butter was on them. My friend had the Ham, egg and cheese burrito which look well put together. It came with red and green salsa but the green was tolerable for both of us. I watched others get different things and they look pretty good. I will have to come back and try other dishes.

A great corner location for some delicious breakfast and coffee. We shared the Cajun chicken and waffles and opted for the two egg two waffle Combo. We were torn between the Cajun chicken vs the Texas fried chicken so ordering a side of the Texas style checked that curiosity box. The Lavender Latte is made with two lavender pumps but I requested just one and the lavender flavor was perfectly balanced ... not overpowering the coffee. Service was friendly and helpful as this was our first visit so the server's suggestions made it easy for us to make our final decisions. A five star " best waffle spot" in the LBC. For & Waffles

This restaurant is in downtown Long Beach. A garage is conveniently located next door. The restaurant has cute decor and indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The waffles were delicious. The chicken fried steak was pretty good. The eggs and potatoes needed seasoning, but I understand that most breakfast restaurants do not use much seasoning. They provided three different types of hot sauce, so I was satisfied.

Delicious chicken and waffles and latte's. The owner was our sever and he was very accommodating. The inside was spacious and had enough seating. Loved it and will come again!

We stopped into this place because it was next-door to our auto rental location. It's one of the best breakfast places we've ever been. The waffles are massive, but so incredibly light. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the staff was so incredibly nice. It's such a cute place in the middle of the city. We really loved it.

They'll keep you hydrated..and how cute is the iced tea refill?!?!

We had a great experience here. We had never been and were curious about some menu items. The owner took our order. He was very patient, answering all my questions and giving recommendations. The breakfast was great, but the standout was the carryout burger we got for our kiddo. The burger was phenomenal. Great service, tasty food, and an easy walk from hotels near the mall and convention center.

This was a really delicious skillet. It was packed full of potatoes. They didn't skimp out on anything. The service was also pretty fast for it being super busy. I would definitely eat here again!

This is a half waffle (two squares.)

Everything was delicious and the service was great. Eat here, you won't regret it. We had a combination of breakfast dishes and one lunch item - the steak sandwich with a side of salad. The breakfast items were perfectly done and they even split two of them up for us to share. Eggs and proteins were cooked just as we asked and then there's the star of the show: the waffles. These are some of the best "American style" (my terminology, not theirs) Belgian waffles I've ever had. They're light, fluffy inside and not very sweet- the ultimate Asian diner compliment. That's probably because they pair their waffles with everything from chicken to sausage to bacon to churro-ifying them, so a balanced base lets them use their waffles as the foundation for many different dishes. Ultimately what matters is the taste, and these did not disappoint! The steak sandwich was also great and delicious, meat cooked perfectly, with arugula helping add a flavor dimension to balance out the richness of the steak. The decor of the restaurant is a mix of modern industrial (like a breakfast Chipotle) and a hint of old American diner. It's clean and comfortable if a little lacking in pizazz. This is the first review I've written that uses that word. It will probably be the last. Anyways, eat here! It's great.

Lavender honey latte. It was very sweet!

I visited this waffle spot twice, once for dine-in and once for a to-go order. The dine-in experience was fantastic. I loved the clean, spacious interior and stylish decor. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Cajun chicken wings and waffle. The wings were freshly fried hot, juicy, and crispy but they were a bit lacking in flavor. The waffle, though, was amazing: light, fluffy, crispy on the outside, and served hot. Just a tip: the powdered sugar and butter look beautiful on top, but I recommend getting the butter on the side so the waffle doesn't get soggy too quickly. The honey lavender latte tasted great, just very sweet. Unfortunately, the next morning's to-go order wasn't as good. I know it's tough to keep quality high with takeout, but the waffle was soggy, the eggs were hard, and only the bacon stood out. The breakfast feels a bit pricey for what you get, but it's a nice occasional treat.

This is a cool chicken & waffles restaurant. The owners are French/Armenian and have added some items to their menu which are influenced by their heritage. There's also a very large, shaded outdoor patio.

Hands down one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had in my life. We came on a Monday morning at about 1030 and it was not too crowded. It definitely started to fill up after 11 AM. Our waitress was super nice and had recommendations for us. I decided to go with the waffle stuffed with sausage. It was the best waffle I've ever had in my life. My spouse had the chicken and waffles. He could not stop raving over how well the chicken was cooked and how delicious it was. Next time we are in Long Beach we will definitely be back. This place is amazing.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.
