Angie's has hands down the best service in the Castle Rock area. The food is mediocre, mostly stuff you can make at home. But they are quick, have great prices, and the portions are perfect for lunch. I think the service makes up for the food. The girl I had would stop by the table frequently to refill water, my glass was never empty, and to check to see how our food was. They say they are famous for their spaghetti sauce but it is pretty basic. Their specials most of the time are pretty good and so is their Mexican food. They also give you bread while you are waiting that is pretty tasty as well. In an area where service can be subpar at best Angie's was a breath of fresh air. read more

$14.50 for a fettuccine dish that was soupy and the noodles tasted cheap. My wife ordered sausage and peppers. Cost $15.50 and didn't really seem cooked. Could've done both dishes at home for less than $20 but we were out for our wedding anniversary. Waitress said "totally" waaaaaay too often, which would've been fine if I was at Fazzolis paying Fazzolis money... but we were not. Won't return. My first visit I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. I'm not sure what the balls were made of. Too much filler for sure. The second visit was with a friend that recommended this place. I ordered the eggplant; it was burnt. The cook said that's how it is! Really? I sent it back and ordered the carnitas; salty and weird little chunks of pork, not the traditional carnitas a Los angles native would expect. I just took the food to go. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Usually go in for lunch which is a bargain. This time went in for DinDin. Was a little disappointed. Had Eggplant Parmesan. Comes with a side of Spaghetti and Soup or Salad and Bread. Service was good so one star. Restaurant was clean one star. Have a great menu selection which includes Mexican food thats actually good one star.. Restroom needed attention no star. Disappointed with the Eggplant. Over cooked and would have to say sliced under 1/2 inch. Did get 2 slices but didnt work. The side of Spaghetti was nice. Should of just had Spaghetti with Sausage. Would not order this again as I wouldnt want to spoil my impression of Angies. No star. The salad comes on a gold plate which is refreshing. Bread was soft and seved with Butter you can spread. This place is seriously underrated! We went for dinner this evening searching for delicious Italian food, and found the perfect spot! At first glance, Angie's is a tiny, cute corner spot in downtown Castle Rock. You walk in and are immediately greeted with a friendly face and a room full of happy diners. When we got our food, we realized why all the other patrons were smiling and laughing over giant plates of spaghetti. It was TO DIE FOR. They make their pasta by hand every single day. You can truly taste the love in every dish. I would personally recommend the spaghetti & meatballs (classic), and the pesto rigatoni. Absolutely delicious. let me start by saying i come from a hardcore east coast Italian family. so i was raised of A++++ home cooked Italian food. going to Italian places to eat is more than hit or miss to me it's like going into a place knowing you will leave mad. but not this place. this is the ONLY Italian place i eat at. that's right the ONLY ONE. my whole family loves coming to this place. this includes my grandmother..and if there is anything to know about Italian families and food is that if grandma doesn't like it than no one will like it. she just loves this place to death. she will eat and enjoy everything on the menu and not make little comments about how her red sauce is better. this is a big deal seeing as this is a lady that will go into chain restruants and demand them to bring her a selection of their spiceis and spice her own food her way. they also have huge portions. i never leave this place hungry. most the time i leave this place so stuffed i feel like i could die [a happy happy happy person] if you're looking for some legit Italian food then go here and get it. they make their own pasta for goodness sakes. who does that any more?! if you're looking for some fancy classy food however than no..don't go here. this is home-style family cooking people so you will get the same kinda food you would if you came over to an Italian family home. Just left Angie's! Wife ordered the special which was a chicken and shrimp pasta, came out with no chicken and no shrimp. I split a pizza with my youngest son with 1/2 pepperocinis and two slices had pepperocinis. The beer was hot and they did not bring bread to our table because they assumed we did not want any. Needless to say we were pretty disappointed. Castle Rock does not have an endless amount of restaurants to choose from, but we will not eat here again. read more

My family and I eat out a lot. We have been going to Angie's for over 10 years. Our toddlers/small children are always greeted with a smile, crayons and coloring books. Their pizzas/calzones are made from scratch and take a little longer to cook but are WORTH THE WAIT! We have never had a bad experience there and the food is consistently FANTASTIC. The owner makes most of the desserts from scratch as well as the pastas, sauces, meatballs and salad dressings. Once you've had their homemade garlic bread, you'll go back for more. We drove far to get here- we liked that it's half way between the Springs and Denver and we met a friend here. We chose it out of all the other restaurants because of the reviews and that it's a good place to have a conversation since it's comfortable and not too loud. It was OK. My husband felt crowded the whole time and like the restaurant felt too crammed, and like each time a server walked by he was in the way, even though he was in a booth. Our server wasn't friendly even though we had a lot of interaction with her. The menu was great and we liked that they have both Italian and Mexican food (and the menu said the owners are Irish!) It was hard to pick out of so many good options. We got the guacamole salad which was served differently than described in the menu (there were no black olives, which I was looking forward to and was listed in the menu description, and it was covered in cheese, which I don't like and which was not listed in the description.) The guacamole itself was really tasty but I wished the chips were saltier (I added some but that's not the same). Our friend thought her chicken quesadillas were good. My husband really enjoyed his Mexican torte. I had a calzone at the recommendation of the person bringing water, and it was quite good and very, very filled with meat (I chose meatballs and pepperoni which I would recommend). Overall it felt like a little disappointing of an experience but maybe our expectations were too high from some of the raving reviews. read more

My husband and I stopped by for lunch and what a delight! The homey atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food made for a very nice dining experience. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo and I was in the mood for spaghetti with meatball. We ordered the lunch portion. It was the perfect amount of food because we decided to try the tiramisu with coffee for dessert. Everything is made from scratch at Angie's and is delicious. I agree with the others who gave poor reviews. I haven't visited in several years because of the constant price increases, reduced portion sizes and marginal food quality. They used to offer occasional discounts via email, but not for quite a while. They became greedy just like most restaurants have. I cook at home more now. read more

Nothing popped for me on this one. The Green Chili Stew was decent, however they mentioned having two versions, regular and hot. I went for hot, and it was mildly spiced. Maybe it is my Texas palate, but it didn't even singe a single nose hair. If you are going to put something on the menu and call it hot, it better come with a warning label. read more

Stopped in today for a quick lunch during a "day trip" to the DMV. We were so pleasantly surprised!! The bread was fresh baked and delicious. The pasta is made on site and excellent. This is a neat little place. The service was fine and the food was quick and good. I ordered a mexican food plate. If your expectations are not high you won't be disappointed. I was bummed that they did not have wifi available. I was eating alone so I would have been okay. But in fairness if you want wifi go to a coffee shop. You wouldn't expect Mexican and Italian to blend well together, but they seem to do it. Very intimate space, great servers and good food. Wonderful atmosphere, staff and food. Great quiet experience. The chicken fajita burrito was the best burrito I have ever had. My wife ordered the lasagna and it was good, but it was too heavy on the cheese and too light on the meat in my opinion. But overall a great experience and we will be returning. read more
