I really wanted to like this location, but unfortunately I've been consistently disappointed. I used to go to the Vallejo location (which is far superior, by the way), and they always get everything right -- perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and generous portions every time. At this location, it's a completely different experience. Every time I order the Angry Mac bowl, they barely put any mac and cheese in it, which defeats the whole purpose of calling it a "Mac bowl." The portions are noticeably smaller compared to Vallejo. The chicken is also consistently overcooked here -- dry on the inside, somehow soggy on the outside instead of crispy, and the seasoning is often off. Since I know how good this dish can be from the Vallejo location, I know it's not the recipe -- it's the execution at this specific location. There seems to be a management or consistency issue in the kitchen because the quality is just not there. I've given this location multiple chances hoping it would improve, but I end up disappointed each time. At this point, I've started driving 45 minutes just to go back to the Vallejo location instead. read more

Love that we have a solid Nashville hot chicken spot in Fremont now. To me, Angry Chickz is right there at the same level as Dave's hot chicken, without having to go all the way to Union City to fulfill my spicy chicken cravings. They are like 2a and 2b, a rung below the king in my book, World famous hotboys. Straight to the food...the chicken is good. I wish they had juicy, fatty, dark meat options, but they do a good job keeping their white meat moist and tender. The flavor is good, the spice levels are well discernible between their wide range. "Country" level is straight fried chicken; mild is barely spicy. Things start heating up a bit at medium, where I'd imagine is as spicy as many will want to go. "Hot" for me was a drastic jump from medium and kept me from exploring to x-hot. I like my spice...a lot, but I value being able to taste subsequent bites too. ;) Personally, my biggest issue with the chicken is they seem a bit light on batter. It doesn't take long for them to lose their crunch and the thin coating falls off, leaving you with a mound of fleshy white meat. I wonder if this was a one-off execution error or that's just their recipe. Their fries are seasoned well and have a touch of spice; really good. The orange sauce is good; a bit sweet, creamy and cools your palate nicely. The mac and cheese was surprisingly enjoyable. Even though it wasn't special in terms of mind-blowing cheese flavor (far from it), it shines in its creamy, chewy texture. Mate it with some fries and orange sauce and it's an amazing bite. Probably why their angry mac is so popular. ;) Final thoughts...props for staying open late and for embracing all the major food delivery services shortly after opening this location. Food was okay 1st time I ate it, but to be honest the 2-3 following other times the food had not been the best. Chicken tender top seasoning was mushy, and I dont think this is "real chicken" Also although the fries usually had tasted good, 2x's they have been room temperature not hot cooked served. And the other important factor is that they use peanut oil to cook their food. Although there maybe 1-2 things it has good about the oil, the bad out-ways any good, it is an oil that causes inflammation and oxidative stress to the body. It can cause heart issues and the big "C"... according to research and post online from doctors comments. Do your research people!!! restaurants will not change their cheap products that are bad for one's health if you continue to buy. The order of fries almost taste like they were double fried they were extremely greasy. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. My chicken in my bowl was extremely dry. I tried Angry Chickz for the first time and honestly, I left hangry. This place should be called Naked Chickz, because the breading falls off the second you pick it up. One bite and everything just slides right off what's the point? The sad part? The flavor is actually there. It could be good, but the execution is straight garbage. Y'all can do way better. It feels like there's more focus on opening new locations than delivering consistent, quality food. This is exactly why so many places end up in a constant cycle of "grand opening" and "grand closing." If you're craving fried chicken with no breading, no crunch, and a whole lot of disappointment this is your spot. If you actually want crispy, stay away. Surprisingly, even the drinks were off. I've been in here a few times since opening and will keep coming since I love the food and used to go to the San Jose one all the time and now don't have to drive as far. I am very impressed at the customer service at this location, it is top notch. Every time I have happened in, the employees have been on top of requests (I usually order the angry mac but with fries on the side so they don't get soggy), and they make it happen every time. I entered and there was over 10 people waiting for their orders. But I entered at the right time as there is nobody in line. I have to choose the Angry Fix which is a bowl of fries, coleslaw and 2 chicken tenders. I didn't know you can 1 of spice levels you can eat. Maybe next time I will do that. But anyway, I ordered Mild spice level. I added a toast for $2 & a fountain drink for $2. Yes, they have coke products. I got Pibb Xtra. Mateo was excellent. Very courteous and polite customer service. Everyone were working hard to cook, expedite orders. I think I waited less than 20 minutes for my order. Ambiance is fast food casual but seats are all spread out, clean. Most orders are take out. Few are for here. My experience is excellent here. I will come back next to order the Angry "Everything" ( a bowl that had mac and cheese, coleslaw, chicken tenders, fries), or the chicken burger combo. But will 1 of mild and medium tenders or patties. Their savory seasoning blend needs some herbs. I can only feel the heat and salt of the rub. Flavor is lacking like some garlic, onions and herbs. Pros: this food was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, the fries were crispy, and everything was flavorful. I got the two chicken sliders with fries and the portion sizes were good for the amount that you're paying. Cons: Even the mild spice is super spicy. It made Dave's Hot Chicken seem tame compared to Angry Chickz. I'm not used to a lot of spice so I opted for the mild, rather than having no spice at all. I felt like I nearly died. I had heartburn, acid reflux, I was constantly suffering the any times I was stuck running to the restroom. My s/o was worse off. We randomly stopped in today (Saturday) right around noon. Line was not too long, we missed the lunch rush. Donna helped us while training another new employee. I asked about the spice levels and we decided on hot, we shared the 2 slider plate with fries, a slice of toast and Sodas. Donna tried to warn us about the spice level (hot apparently has a Ghost Pepper seasonings), but we assured her that we are good with heat, to us a jalapeño tastes like a bell pepper lol. First off, the heat was perfect for our palates, definitely caused slightly runny noses but didn't blow out of palates. The chicken was super tender and Juicy, the slaw and pickles amazing. Fries were delish with the dipping sauce, brought some relief from the heat. The toast though.... I don't know what kind of addictive substance they put on that toast... but we are still talking about it lol!!!! No menu, no prices anywhere of the items, confusing menu by the register with no prices, only pictures of the bowls on one working moniter which also didn't have any pricing The kid was guessing what things coast and acted totally normal that menus and pricing are not available to place an order.
