I really enjoyed another broken egg. Came here for lunch around noon yesterday (Thursday) with a group of 7 and had no problem getting a table. The server was attentive. I had the veggie delight omelette with fruit and grits and also an English muffin. The omelette was tasty with goat cheese, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes. The grits were tasty too and the perfect consistency. The fruit was good but i was surprised to see sliced oranges which I don't like. We came on a Thursday morning at 11, and didn't end up leaving until 12:45. We ended up waiting 30 min for a table, which is fine, but the host didn't give us any time estimate. So we didn't know if we'd be waiting 10 min or an hour. Once we sat, our server was very nice. The food was good, but it took over 50 min to get our food. I guess the kitchen was backed up, but it just all in all felt crazy to be there for nearly 2 hours. Again, food was very good and our waitress was very nice. This was the worst experience ever here. We told the server several times we don't eat pork! I can eat it due to medical reasons. The toddler with us has never eaten meat. Said this several times while ordering. Needless to say, the server made sure to bring everything with bacon on each dish. Politely reminding her no pork & she blames it on the cook. If you are the server you should have noticed and removed the pork before bringing it out; instead she dumps it on her serving tray... I'm feeling very confident in saying they used that on another order. The reason I feel this way is because I ordered a Bloody Mary with no BACON & guess what was in the drink. She takes it back to have it remade & while drinking my drink guess what comes up in the straw, BACON! When I ask for the manager. She comes dragging her feet out as if I was bothering her. I explained it's medical reasons and she nudges her shoulders and say ok I'll take it off. No concerns no manners, just there to say she has a job. The manager never gave me her name. The server's name is Brenda. I'm not sure if Another Broken Egg is under new management or if the full team just don't care anymore. The inside dining area was not clean at all. I had the wipe the menu clear from left behind food & debris. This was one of my favorite breakfast spots to bring my guess when they visit; but NOT no more ! It's been a while since I've been to Another Broken Egg and I don't remember being impressed before nor do I remember what I ordered. That's all changed now! Today I had the Shrimp Benny and oh my wonder. That creamy velouté sauce was so good. I loved the poached eggs and mine came out so perfect. The dish was very generous with the amount of shrimp it had. That was very satisfying...along with other items I tried including Crab Cake Benedict, City Grits, and Beignets. Great place for brunch although I wish there was a lot more space. Accommodating more than 6 people may be a tight squeeze indoors. read more

Service: The hostesses were friendly and our waitress was great. There weren't many people there so it was fairly quiet. Food: I had the Apple fritter French toast. I'm very picky about my french toast as I do not like it to have an eggy taste. However these were very good and not eggy at all. It's several layers of the fritter French toast with thinly sliced apples layered in between. The toast sits in a butterscotch sauce. This was not overly sweet but did not need any syrup. I came here with my family for breakfast during the week. It's located in the tapestry park plaza area. We came around 8 am and it wasn't very busy. We were seated right away. There are booths, tables, high top bar seats, and our door patio seating available. The outdoor patio has heaters so it doesn't get too cold. My brother got the Ham and cheese omelette with English muffin and potato squares. I got Biscuits and gravy with grits, bacon, and eggs. Food was really good and big portions. I took some home because I didn't finish. Our server was very nice, although I didn't catch her name. The service was pretty quick also. This is a great place to bring the family. We've been to Another Broken Egg before and always love our time there. I ordered a Belgian Waffle with scrambled eggs and sweet ham, though I was surprised the ham looks a lot like bacon. LOL! It was still really sweet and tasty, though! My husband ordered the crab benedict. The belgian waffle was really delicious with just a bit of syrup and didn't need any butter. The eggs needed a bit of ketchup, but otherwise were good, it's kind of hard to ruin eggs, though.
